I loved the photo shoot. Honestly, I’m not just comfortable, but I actually enjoy posing sexy for photo shoots. I have no issues posing in a bikini.

How did a Brazilian model like you land an Eat Bulaga gig?
I’ve been here in the Philippines since last year and before I became a regular part of the show, I’ve been guesting already. I did T3 magazine’s cover last April and after that, I officially became a regular at around May of this year when TAPE discovered me.

You started off in the “Itaktak Mo” portion. Do you even understand what that means?
No, in fact on my first day on the show, I was really having a hard time understanding anything. As it was, I was already so nervous because I knew I was on a very popular TV show aired nationwide. Then what made it worse was I couldn’t understand a thing anyone was saying. For a time I just kept on nodding at people because they kept on talking in Filipino to me!

Is it true that this is your first TV stint?
Yes, it is. Most of my projects have been print ads and magazine photo shoots. My closest experience to a TV gig is the TV commercials I’ve done, but nothing like this! I’ve never done live TV. But it’s fun, I’m enjoying myself.

You’ve posed like a pro during this shoot, though!
I’ve been modeling since I was 14 years old, but only in Brazil. I only started traveling for my job last year. In fact, I first came to the Philippines last year on October 7, to be exact.

Her first job was for Christian Dior, and the story goes that when Raica came in for her shoot, the photographer sent all of the other girls home, choosing to work with her alone. Askmen.com cites that at one time, she had so many shoots a day, she only had time to eat a cookie between jobs. (Yeah, right.)

Fernanda Tavares (born on September 22, 1980) is a Brazilian supermodel.

Tavares was born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, and she was appearing in local shows at the age of nine, and at just 13 she won the "Elite Look of the Year." Caroline Aparecida Trentini (born July 6, 1987) is a Brazilian supermodel. She was born in Panambi, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Trentini is the youngest daughter of Lourdes and the late Jacó Trentini, who died when she was one year old. Her older sisters are Franciele and Élen. Although she had never worked before, Trentini's mother got a job as a public employee when her husband died and raised her daughters single-handedly.

At about age 13, Trentini was discovered walking down a street in her hometown by an agent, the same one who scouted supermodel Gisele Bündchen, and soon afterward she moved to São Paulo, a common destination for young Brazilian models. She was frightened to be alone in the big city, as Panambi had only 40,000 residents. However, her modeling career immediately took off, and after a year, Trentini moved again, this time to New York City. She couldn't speak English but quickly learned. Trentini's breakthrough came when designer Marc Jacobs cast her in his Marc by Marc Jacobs ad campaign, photographed by Juergen Teller.

In 2004 she was photographed topless by Steven Klein in a freezer, surrounded by meat, for a Vogue editorial. Although the shoot turned out all right, Trentini converted to a vegetarian. "[The photo shoot] was worth it but I was traumatized," she later remarked. Klein even sent her flowers and a card congratulating her on her professionalism.

Trentini's trendy baby-cheeked elfish looks and trademark freckles have helped her snag coveted runway spots at shows such as Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Versace, Victoria's Secret, Chanel, Christian Dior, L.A.M.B., Baby Phat, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Dolce & Gabbana. She has appeared on the covers of magazines ELLE, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, among others.

She now lives with fellow Brazilian models Cintia Dicker and Bruna Erhardt in New York City. They are her good friends and "sisters." She has said that Kate Moss and Caroline Ribeiro are her favorite fashion icons and that she would like to work with legendary photographer Irving Penn. Currently, she is the face of Gucci Cruise, Oscar De La Renta and Dolce & Gabbana Animelier.

In the May 2007 issue of American Vogue she was featured on the cover with fellow models: Doutzen Kroes, Jessica Stam, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha, Hilary Rhoda, Chanel Iman, and Lily Donaldson as the new crop of supermodels.

How long have you been in the Philippines?
I’ve been here for five months now.

So far, how do you like your stay? How much does our country resemble Brazil?
Our climates are very much alike, which I prefer because I easily feel cold. However I’ve noticed the nights here are getting colder as the holidays approach.

Have you encountered any weird or funny accident here in our country?
So far I’ve seen nothing extraordinary except for the jeepneys. I can’t imagine sitting in front of strangers for hours, ha ha!

What are the chances of you romantically ending up with a Filipino?
There’s nothing impossible about that, although I’ve only met a few Filipinos who are confident enough to approach me.

What should a Filipino guy do then to impress you?
You don’t have to impress me really. Besides it’s not hard to get my attention. Just come up to me as you are, don’t try too hard to keep me talking. A little sense of humor also helps.

Towards the end of the Nineties the supermodel concept had largely been declared dead. That was until Gisele appeared on the catwalk. The stunning Brazilian brunette, with her tanned limbs, perfect curves and piercing ocean-blue eyes, has brought glamour and sex appeal back to the fashion industry.

One of five sisters, she was born in the rural town of Horizontina in Southern Brazil on July 20, 1980, and, as a schoolgirl, never turned heads. "I was taller and skinnier than everyone else and they called me Oli, short for Olive Oyl," she recalls.

But a trip to São Paolo as a 14-year-old changed her life. A model scout spotted the leggy teenager in a shopping mall and suggested Gisele go for a career in fashion. At first she refused, having set her sights on being a volleyball player, but then, thinking that a bit of extra money might not be such a bad idea, she reconsidered.

A bit of money? Named by Forbes magazine as the most successful model of all time, Gisele earned over $30 million in 2005 making her the world's highest-paid model. The catwalk queen's Victoria's Secret deal is the biggest in the industry while her other lucrative advertising campaigns include Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabanna, Ralph Lauren, Valentino and Ebel watches. Sales of the model's own 'Ipanema' footwear range have also boosted her earnings with sales topping 100 million since 2001.

The cover girl of choice for countless magazines including Vogueand Elle, it wasn't long before Gisele caught the eye of pin-up actor Leonardo DiCaprio. He bombarded her with a charm offensive, and the two became showbiz's hottest item. They split briefly in 2001 after a series of arguments about Leo's partying ways but he wooed her back. Ambrosio loves surfing, seeing bands, caipirinha and chocolates, which she admits eating every day. She is very conscious of her butt and works out with her Brazilian trainer twice a month doing the Brazilian Butt Lift, which is a mix of samba,capoeira and aerobics.

She described her typical week as jetsetting from one country to another for photo shoots and in between she has some phone interviews. She still visits her family in Brazil regularly and calls Erechim, Brazil her favorite place in the world and having traveled the world has not yet convinced her otherwise. These days, she shares a New York City apartment with her lawyer sister Aline.

She is best friends with Ana Beatriz Barros.

Ambrosio is currently the National Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, helping raise awareness for the unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system and raise funds for the ongoing research for its cure. Her father was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in the late nineties.
