This is the first bread maker I've owned. After shopping around it seemed like a great deal for the price and so far it definitely is. After that I gave the French bread a shot and it came out perfectly on the first try. Next I tried out the whole wheat bread. The recipe in the manual didn't work out well at all. The dough fell during baking. I figured I'd just add wheat gluten like the manual recommended if that happened, but the recipe didn't seem very tasty regardless of the texture. So, I just went and found a honey wheat recipe, which worked out really well.
I can't really hold having a lame recipe against a manufacturer's manual, so it still gets 5 stars because with a good recipe it makes a very tasty loaf of bread and with all the different settings it's pretty easy to get it just how you like it.

AMAZING for gluten-free Cuisinart CBK-100 Programmable Breadmaker products. I have baked 2 types of bread, mixed pizza dough from scratch, and made banana bread from scratch in the last two days since I received it!!! The bread was delicious (two different mixes: one light and one heavy). The pizza dough probably need a little more oven baking, but the pizza disappeared at lightning speed. As for the bannana bread, it was quite simply as good or better than with regular bread flour. This will pay for itself in about a month or two with my growing children and I can't tell you how amazing it is to have gluten-free bread that tastes like real bread!!!

I have been wanting a bread machine for a while, and I am so glad I got this one. I'll admit at first the couple of loaves of bread I made were completely misshapen and hard. So I read some of the reviews and took better care to measure my ingredients with more accuracy. After that, the bread turned out good. But for anyone who buys a bread machine, I must highly recommend The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook by Beth Hensperger. I have found that the breads I made from this cookbook turned out much better than the recipes that come with the machine. Combine these two products together, and you will be immensely pleased with this bread machine. This is the best purchase I have made yet on Amazon!

Being our 3rd Panasonic SD-YD250 Automatic Bread Maker, I can say I have used one of these now for a bit (5 years) on a weekly basis. I don't bake specialty breads but we do make pizza dough and regular bread in it on a weekly basis. This is the most quiet bread machine we have had. Our other 2 machines were Breadman brand and we wore them to the ground. This is a new one and so far it bakes wonderfully. I have used the pizza dough cycle and the rapid bake cycle because I just don't think it's worth waiting for the regular cycle (4 hrs and something) when the rapid bread tastes amazing after only 1hr55min.
