WHY HINDU?

There was no religion established in the name of HINDU on the Bharat Vrasa, although succumbing to Historical blunders long ago we have changed our SANATAN DHARM into HINDU. Just left the Issue of HINDUS, many are there who can’t tolerate even recitation of the word HINDU. Some of my friends even suggested me not to cite HINDUSTAN. As Usual, all the Seculo-Liberandu Left Congi Brigades strongly criticize the concept of HINDU as according to them it is against the SECULAR fabrics. By the By, I don’t consider their debates as worthy as I think all of them suffer from INTELLECTUAL DIARRHOEA.

Now come to the word HINDU or SANATAN DHARM

Every Hindu, Sikh, Jains, Buddhists (Especially Vajryana) does Sankalp (Resolution) before any Sadhana (Disciplined and Dedicated Spiritual or Religious Practice), though the procedure of sankalps are different but the connotation is similar. Sankalp is the foundation of the Sanatan Culture. Without the Sankalp we believe all the Noble Works are futile.

WHAT WE RECITE IN SANKALP?

It says, “ in the name of the creator, The infinite Cosmic Time cycle, the place of Worship, the Doer (Karta) doing following Sadhana” the Complete one is, “ In the Name of Creator, in the 2^nd half of Brahma’s Life, in the Kalpa (Time scale) of Sveta-Varaha, In there the current period of Manu Vaivaswata (there are 14 Manus in a Kalpa), in the 28^th Mahayuga of current Manvantra (Time Cycle), in this first quarter of Kali yuga, this denotes the Place where the Ritual is Performed JAMBHUDWIPA (i.e current Asia), BHARAT KHANDE (the Geological Boundry, a tectonic plate of India i.e 1lakh sq km stretching from Afghanistan to Burma, From Ladakh to Srilanka), BHARAT VARSE ( the Political Boundary), to the South of the Meru ( Mountain range), the current period (Sambastra), the Sun’s imaginary Movement of North or southwards, the Season, the Lunar fortnight, the Day I’m Doing the Following rituals to please thou.”

This Sankalp (Resolution) speaks much about the Indic Culture. Religion has some basic characteristics (a) a prophet (b) a fixed religious scripture/text (c) certain moral duties (d) some supernatural narrations of prophecies. According to it we can divide all the religions are in to two broad categories (1) creed Religion (2) Complete Religion. Islam, Christianity etc. Complete religion (Hindu/Sanatan).

WHY HINDUISM IS COMPLETE & DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?

(a) It has no PROPHETS, no one started this (b) Though Veda is a Final Point of Sanatan Scripture, yet it has no fixed RELIGIOUS IDEOLOGIES (c) There is No certain prescribed MORAL OBLIGATIONS towards the RELIGION, eg one should do Namaz six times a day, or Observe Ramjan etc. Or Sunday prayer in Churches, (d) the HINDU/SANATAN is not SUPERNATURAL but SPIRITUAL, it is not TRANSCENDENTAL but SYMBOLIC.

WHAT IS UNITY IN DIVERSITY?

The basic concept of Unity in Diversity is derived from “ALL IS NOTHING BUT THE GOD’S INCARNATION” (Adwitabad), a spiritual realisation. So it has no POLITICAL CONNOTATION, what we today apply to describe SECULARISM.

IS MY INDIA’S ECONOMY SLOWED DOWN?

In the midst of hue and cries of Anti-National Brigades with Pakistan and its sponsored Islamic Terrorist Organisations there is another propaganda usurped. Many are showing concerns about the Economy of My Country India. It is Good Sign not to remain indolent to National affairs.

BUT

Are these Concerns really alarming? Are these Concerns are Real or mere propaganda to weaken faith on Indian Government? Those who paying concerns are really trustworthy?

Though this Subject needs a detailed presentation and not possible to place all the things in this post, although I will try to make you understand the whole thing with key points.

First, be clear that the whole world is reeling under economic slowdown. Since 1993, the global economic slowdown is coming on regular intervals of 3 to 5 years. Last time we have experienced it 2009-2013, and now since 2018. The Global demand of Steel, Coal etc are declining, the production of Vehicular manufacturing is going down. So it is obvious that Hindustan’s Economy has under similar pressure. Besides this, every economic slowdown is followed by a debt crisis. It is a simple formula, whenever someone faces a financial problem he lends Money from external sources, and before repayment, if the financial crisis returns the Debt also increases. The Debt Crisis is a Global phenomenon, from very rich to Poor Country reeling under a similar situation; Hindustan is not only a Single Country which faces economic slowdown and debt crisis.

Now come to Debt situation of Hindustan in correspondence to other world countries, according to BIS, the Global Debt was accounted 71% of GDP in 2008, which was increased to 114% in 2016. The main cause of the increase of the Govt Borrowing is increasing credit finance non-financial sectors. China’s total debt is 5.1 trillion US dollar, which is 45.45% of the country’s total GDP. Whereas China’s Inflation stands as 6.8%. Similarly, America’s total debt is 21 trillion US Dollar, which is 107.09% of the Country’s GDP but the Inflation remained low to 2%. Brazil’s total debt stands as on today is 1.57 trillion US dollar, which is 77.40% of the GDP, whereas Inflation is 2.86%. Canada’s Total Debt is 898 billion US dollar, which is 60.10% of the GDP and Inflation is 2.2%. Hindustan’s Total Debt stands as on today is 1.01 trillion US Dollar, which is 44.82% of the Total GDP and Country’s Inflation is 4.87%.

Some of the Social Media Posts criticizing the Indian Government for the slowing down of the manufacturing sector. They might forget that the demand for manufacturing goods change every century and the time interval. In 1784 during the 1^st industrial revolution the Demand was mechanization, Steam Power and weaving (Power) looms, 2^nd Industrial revolution during 1870 the demand was Mass production units, assembly line and Electric energy, the 3^rd Industrial revolution (1969) was Automation Computers and Electronic goods, the Present Industrial revolution is Cyber-Physical systems, Internet of things, networks. United Nations Industrial Development Organization report (Industrial Statistics 2019) says, “World manufacturing value-added rose by 3.6% in 2018, slightly lower than the 3.8% recorded in the previous year. The slowdown is mainly attributed to the emerging trade and tariff barriers involving the USA and China, as well as the USA and the European Union, which is exposed markets to a significant amount of uncertainty.”

I again reiterate, don’t listen to these SECULO-LIBERANU LEFT CONGI BRIGADES’s PROPAGANDA as they are far from the reality and living in a world of own. India’s Future lies its Software and Cyber technology, Chandrayan is a major step. Every Indian should Think India that is Bharat or Hindustan Is their Country and will contribute their best for its development. The most important thing they can do is to upgrade their skills, Materialise their Novel Ideas. Without NATIONALISM and LOVE FOR MOTHER NATION this never can be achieved.

DO YOU NEED UNEMPLOYMENT???

Employment is a situation which is born with the Industrial Revolution and brought up by Economic Liberalisation and Capitalism. So, Employment, Unemployment and Underemployment need a three-way explanation (a) Psychologically (b) Economically (c) Sociologically.

Among all the explanations, Economic explanation is itself a self-explanatory to the raising issues of employment. The Economic definition of Employment is “Individual income derived from work and in turn, it affects the productivity of the Society or a Nation” So, Skills, Health, Education, Intelligence all are necessary components of an Individual’s Productivity component.

Similarly, Psychological Explanation stress upon the willingness to work. Alber Lauterbach In his article published in American Journal says, “at any rate the “Wish to work” as a felt need that transcends the requirement of having a source of income is rather widespread and represents the striving for a social function and a feeling of being useful to others.” This explanation surely implies the need of strong Nationalism feeling.

The Three Major sectors, where one can get employment are; (a) Agriculture (b) Industry (c) Service.

Employment is divided into two major categories a. Self-employed and (b) employed by a firm, organisation, person etc. Again it is classified by the type of employment as (a) temporary worker (b) part-time worker (c) Permanent Worker.

Under the Industrial Disputes Act, employees working in a managerial or administrative capacity, or those employed in a supervisory capacity earning more than Rs 10,000 per month, are excluded from the scope of this definition.

Under the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act 1946 classify workmen according to the nature of the employment as (a) permanent, (b) Probationers, (c) Badli or casual, (d) Temporary

The hue and cries on Present Unemployment are more political and less practical, Why?

First understand few things pointwise; (1) Shrinking Agriculture land thus increase of Temporary Labour force (2) Growing automation means minimize the use of Manual Labour Force, as most of the industries using contractual or probation labour force, so there is increase in unemployment (3) Lack of Skills/ Education also contribute the growth of unemployment of unskilled labour force (4) The participation of workforce of Muslim Population is much lower than the other religious population (5) the lowering participation of women folks also contributes overall downfall of work productivity of Hindustan.

The CIME says the present unemployment rate for July 2019 is 7.6%. It also says the growing unemployment is due to the downfall of the automobile industry. The Downfall of Diesel/Petrol based automobile is a global phenomenon, even many countries discouraging the growth of carbon-emitting automobiles. According to the Data from the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the State-wise unemployment rate for persons aged 15yrs and above on usual status basis during 2012-13 to 2015-16, Hindustan’s unemployment rate is 4% (2012-13), 3.4 (2013-14) & 3.7 (2015-16). The International Labour Organisation says, actually there is more unemployment in 15 to 24 years age group but the unemployment percentage of above 25+ yrs age remained almost the same since 2012. 😆

Besides this, the increase of unemployment is an indirect consequence of General Election, as most of the government investment has been stalled due to Budgeting of Government Investments.

Similarly, the NDA II passed the Minimum Wages Act to ensure minimum wages will sure change the employment/Unemployment scenario of Future India.

Unemployment in India: Truth Vs Reality

Different groups of the non-employed have vastly different likelihood of transitioning into employment. For example, people who want jobs have 13-14.5% probability of employment, while retired or disabled individuals have less than 2% probability of becoming employed. The unemployed are also a heterogeneous group. The short-term unemployed are twice as likely to enter the workforce as the long-term unemployed, who in turn are twice as likely as people who are out of the labour force but want a job.

Before 2019 general election, Opposition Parties vehemently attacked Narendra Modi led NDA-2 Govt for failing to provide jobs as Modi himself promised it during 2014 election campaigns. Modi in a Political rally in UP on 23, Nov 2013 said 65% of the Indian population is below 35 years age and they are struggling under “unemployment”. UPA failed to provide Jobs to educated Youths despite its promise in 2009 elections, if BJP came to power it will provide 1 crore Jobs. The whole accusations and counter-accusations seem to be like causality dilemma of Egg or Chicken.

What is present India reeling under, Unemployment or Un Employment? Before answering the question lets analyse some historical facts and data;

Unemployment or joblessness is the state of being without any work yet looking for work. It is also a key economic indicator which describes the ability/inability of workers to readily obtain gainful work to contribute productive output of the economy. In simple terms less works means less total economic production and high rate of labour participation means high economic production. However, the low rate of unemployment is not at all a good sign of economics as it implies overheating the economy, inflationary pressure and tight condition for business. So we need to contain unemployment ratio at a balanced rate. Economists divide unemployment into 4 major types; Cyclical, Structural, Classical or institutional and Frictional or transitional.

Cyclical as the word itself implies it is temporary in nature and directly linked to economic boom and recession. Structural is linked with technological change; the rate of automation determines the use of manual labour. Institutional is the most negative type of unemployment, as it is a consequence of long term government policies like populist, generous social benefits programs, high rate of unionization, Restrictive occupational licensing laws. Another type of unemployment is Hidden Unemployment or underemployment or disguised unemployment. This type of unemployment is a by-product when the agrarian economy shifts to Industry or service. People of this type of category generally not willing to work or their overall productivity has so meagre that can’t influence economic growth.

Now analyse the data related to employment and unemployment in India (See Tables 1 to 5). The unemployment rate is equal to the total unemployed workers divided by total labour force multiplied by 100. According to the CMIE on 31 May 2019 (30-day moving average) the unemployment rate in India is 7.1%, (See Table-7)in Urban areas it is 8.6% and in rural areas, it is 6.5%. The April 2019 unemploymentdata of states shows Haryana which is mostly an agrarian state which is under transition towards rapid urbanisation and industrialisation, having highest unemployment rate i.e. 26.4 followed by Tripura (25.4%) which is one of the most literate states having 87.7% literate rate. The state’s GDP primarily depends on the service sector (53.98%), Agriculture & allied (23.07%), Industry (22.95%). Out of the total dependants in the secondary sector, 28.21%

depends upon the retail sector. In the unemployment list 3^rd state with the highest unemployment

rate in Himachal Pradesh (19.6%) followed by Bihar and Jharkhand (12.2%), Uttar Pradesh (11.1%), Jammu Kashmir (10.6%), and states having lowest unemployment rate is Puduchery (0.4%), Karnataka (0.5%) Tamil Nadu (1.2%), Meghalaya (2.3%), Telengana (2.7%), Gujarat (3%), Chhattisgarh (3.4%). Almost 15 states falls below and 11 states are above the national average unemployment rate.

If we look at the annual average rate of unemployment, it is not so worrying. The unemployment data of the CEIC on India shows that since Dec 2007 the unemployment rate is not crossed more than 3 percent. It was highest in 2013 (2.823) and Lowest was in 2008(2.268) and in 2018 it is 2.551. Even the data of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) shows that the unemployment rate of India is 2.6%. CEIC data shows that the Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR) has been decreasing since 1990. In 1990, the LFPR is 58.6%, and in 20

17 it is 52% and in 2018 it further decreased to 51.9%. There is some peculiarity in the Labour Force Participation Rate, Unemployment and GDP, in most of The developed countries LFPR is increasing but correspondingly GDP and unemployment rises but in the context of India LFPR and unemployment is decreasing but has good GDP growth.

The “peculiarity” trend is directly linked to the increase of Skills of the workforce, In 2002 the labour productivity was 1.32% and in 2017 it was 4.82% and the figure for the current year is 5.80%.

Now, look at the macroeconomic state of the India the Mining industry is increasing. The production and export of Coal, Aluminium, Gold, ICT goods are increased in recent years but there is a decrease in Telecommunication equipment, Medicinal and Pharmaceutical products. The RBI data shows that nations composite index for Infrastructure industry grew from 3.8% (2012-2013) to 4.3%(2017-18) in the base year of 2011-12. Similarly, if we look at the data of Industrial production it shows a positive trend. The Industrial production index of the Primary goods, Capital Goods, Intermediate goods, Construction goods, Consumer Durables, and Consumer non-durables for the March 2019 has an upward grid. The deposits of all Scheduled Commercial Banks for the 4^th quarter of the current years also show an affirmative movement.

Here, I feel it is necessary to present one of the critical observations by the “India WageReport-2018” (ILO) as it directly linked to the Unemployment issue. The report says, “Union density among salaried workers has fallen precipitously since 1993-94, by 17.7 percentage points to 28.8 percent, while it has increased for casual workers and among self-employed workers. There have been some attempts at unionizing worker in the informal economy, especially among home-based workers either to negotiate for minimum wages or to demand for better conditions (Brick Workers)...India was one of the first developing countries to introduce a minimum wage policy...despite this wage floor being non-binding, one estimate shows that in 2009-10, about 15 percent of salaried workers and 41 percent of casual workers (i.e. 62 million workers) were paid less than the indicative minimum wage and the rate of low pay was higher among women than men.”

From the above analysis, we can draw a few vital points which automatically speak the present “Employment” situation in India and these are as follows;

(a) There is a decline in the labour force participation but growth in labour Productivity; it means the quality of labour is increasing and the quantity of labour force decreasing.

(b) Unemployment in India is not as murkier, at least at this present situation as hyped by some intellectual & political quarters.

As we have discussed earlier that Government’s Populist or generous social welfare Schemes impinge on the upward growth of the unemployment. “The planning commission revealed in a remained constant in number at 55 million (poor) in the past 20 years despite high growth and high investment in IRDP and wage giving programs...The central and state governments together spend roughly Rs 42,000 crore a year on poverty alleviation programmes. in a sense, if the five crore odd poor families in the country were to be sent money orders, each would get more than Rs 8000 per annum, lifting them out of the poverty trench. Clearly, re-initiation of the mai-baap sarkar is not the answer.”( Excerpt from Anarticle in India Today on Union Budget 2004 by Shankar Aiyar and Rohit Sen)

The Government expenditure on populist programs increasing steadily since 1999-2000 and no government is thinking of a reformation which can bring long term and yielding benefit in terms of employment generation. Even Modi’s NDA-2 Govt(20014-2019) is not an exception to it, it also embraced the populist programs of the UPA-1 & 2 (2004-2014). “For instance, 61.4% of all capital expenditure outlined in the 2018-19 budget is slated to be financed through EBR, up from 54% in 2016-17. Similarly, while the budget made tall announcements related to spending on agriculture and rural livelihoods, the fine print shows that 84% of all such spending is slated to be financed outside the budget, with the biggest component being providing agriculture credit(See Table-6).” (Govt spending before Lok Sabha elections: What data Shows, Nikita Kwatra)

Even after such robust spending on populist programs the poverty or unemployment not reduced desirably. “However, estimates of the planning commission show that in the period soon after the implementation of the economic reforms, from 1993-94 to 2004-05, despite high economic growth poverty declined by only 0.74 percentage points per annum...this led to the implementation of some right based developmental initiatives as part of the minimum needs programme such as MGNERGA-2005, UWSSA-2008, RSBY-2008, NFSA-2013, as a result, in the latter period i.e from 2004-05 to 2011-12, poverty declined by 2.2 percentage points per annum ” (IWR-2019, ILO). The World Bank data on India’s Poverty says, “in 2011, we estimate that 14% of the population (or some 306 million people) lived between 1.50 to 1.90 dollar a day ...now the number reduced to 70million (2018)” (See Table-8)

But ironically the unemployment rate increased more than the previous years i.e. 1993-2005. The current situation of Unemployment is directly proportional to the poverty alleviation and Socio-economic upliftment rate. India has meticulously escaped the 2008 global economic slowdown and put nation’s economic growth on a fast track since 2008-09 but the unemployment rate also increased. Some of the salient features of the current labour economic the situation of India are as follows;

(a) The decline of the labour force is a regular phenomenon since 2011-12

(b) There is an increase of labour force in the service sector

(b) Labour Force decreasing in agriculture and Industry sector

(d) The unemployment rate among the 15-29 age groups is higher than the 30-59 (e) unemployment rate is higher in urban than rural India.

As we have talked earlier that unemployment is also transitional and seasonal. During April to June, we can observe more unemployment in rural areas which is more related to agrarian and allied works.

The OECD data shows that the annual working hours per worker in India is 1710 hours. In USA it is 1780 hours/annum, for OECD countries it is 1746hrs/annum. Greece, Russia, Mexico, Korea, Costa Rica has more than 2000hr/annum per worker and Germany, Denmark, Norway and Netherland has the lowest working hours per annum per worker (below 1433hrs).

Similarly, the work participation rate religious faith wise data (TOI) shows that The average the work participation rate for India is 40%. Muslims have the lowest work participation rate i.e 33% whereas it is 41% for Hindus, Jains and Sikhs it is 36% each, Buddhists having a highest working population (43%) and these figures not much changed in a census decade (2001-2011)

If you see the Caste composition trends (between 2004-2015) of the principal sectors of the Indian Economy (State of Working India, 2018) you can see, SC population switching their jobs from Mining and construction to agriculture, manufacturing, whereas ST population migrating from agriculture to Mining, Manufacturing, construction and Services (Mining and Service has the highest). Similarly, other castes left service and manufacturing sector where they are dominating in 2004 and taking sides of the Agriculture and Mining sectors. However, the OBCs are most distress caste in relation to Jobs. In every principal sector their participation rate decreases. Means most OBCs left their jobs and became Hidden employment or people who are not willing to work.

In this juncture, the hue and cry for the increase in the unemployment rate is middle-of-the-road propaganda. EdmundS. Phelps, a noble laureate in economic Science in 2006 put the healthy the unemployment rate for a country is between 3 to 7 percentage ratio. If The government will succumb to the furore, it will force to shift its concentration from Poverty alleviation and social welfare schemes, which will jeopardize the healthy economic growth and the whole thing will be like “For want of a nail the Shoe is Lost, for want of a shoe the horse is lost, for want of a horse the rider is lost”. So, My advice to the Government is to focus more on Labour Productivity and participation rate, to build Healthy working environment, Healthy working Population; Govt should bring out such plans where Women will participate in more productive works; Government should create such a working environment where we can retain more productive brains from going abroad. As “another simple way to define economic growth is as the sum of the hours that people work plus their output per hour or productivity...has had an average annual growth rate of about 3.5%, half of it came from population growth, more specifically labour force growth or more people working more hours” (The rise and fall of Nations, Ruchir Sharma, Page 18 & 19). Before concluding my Discussion I reiterate, “Deal gently with the bird you mean to catch”.

Growth through Hindus (Part-1)

The Subject may raise several controversies; it may hurt the Seculars, Liberals, Communists, Marxists, socialists and Neo-Moderates who don’t believe “Natural Selection” or “Geographic Mosaic theory” or my theory based on How Natural Evolution selects particular population having certain physiological affinity, having distinct cultural correlations, common beliefs & Faith, Shared norms which in turn effects a particular territory’s Socio-Economic environment. My Issue may not directly relate to the general Nationalist Believe that a particular nation belongs to a particular Religion or Race. Whenever I mention “Religion” further in this article don’t take the religion in a narrow sense, as “Hinduism” is much wider connotation than so called definition of religion. Similarly, whenever I put the word “Race” don’t divide it Aryan or Dravidian, as I believe The Indo race is distinct from others and it is neither Aryan nor Dravidian.

Natural Environment like Geographical location, Geological patterns, Weather, Temperature, Humidity, Availability of Food, Arable land etc influence the Living Organisms. In simple understandings, the natural milieu selects which type of living being going to survive on its lap. Migratory or alien organisms may perish or evolve as predators and parasites.

In Biological terms, from simple single cell organisms to a complex living body and from a micro-territory to the Multiverse, everything is a self-explanatory example of Unity in Diversity. A secular brain always refers India, as a country of “Unity in Diversity”; the term is more politico-religious than Biological. As I have already said, my debate is not based on the narrow religious terminology, so I rejected the Religious diversified unity propaganda by mediocre political brains. Why I named Mediocre, you can comprehend later in this article.

A Nation’s strength lies in its people. More skilful, healthy, dedicated and loyal its people, more its development envisaged. A nation becomes physically powerful when its ethnographic agents work homogenously. A homogenous population develops strong social cohesiveness, which in turn gives rise to collective responsibility & community spirit.

A Nationalist Brain sees the future through the past, the past where his very Socio-cultural Identity emerged. Many Historians put forth their argument that the “concept of Nationalism” was transported from the western world to India during the Colonial era. But I say, they argued so only to hide their Inferiority complex arising out of the diachronic problem of personal identity.

Indian Nationalism, we may call it as “Hindu Nationalism” has distinctive characteristics, unlike western Nationalism. Hindu Nationalism has its root since Vedic times. “Pandit Narahari Narayan Bhide defines Rastra (Nation) as follows: The Feeling of eternal goal of human life which makes the life celestial and elegant, and the race, language, literature, community of economic interest, tradition, country, administration of the state and awareness in the invasion of foreigners which are found within the psychology being expresses with those seven organs, is the nationality or Rashtriya. The people having such Rashtriya is a rastra and the member of such rastra is the Rashtriya.” (Nation and Nationalism in the Vedic Literature: A study, Shiva Acharya, 2000, page-2)

In Vedas, the Rastra & Rashtrapati both synonymous to the word “Indra”, the Indra refers to Rastra as a whole, a nourisher, a protector, and the giver of all worldly pleasures. There are several Vedic verses like “Ayam gha saturo ma’d Indrasya Bardhita Priya...”(Rig Veda 10 mandala 25 sukta) necessarily depicts the character of a Rastra.

In Rig Veda 7^th Mandal 6^th chapter (7/84 hymn) the Supreme advises the subjects & their King how to attain a strong, powerful, peaceful and wealthy nation.

In this hymn, it is advised to be Industrious and Healthy, be wealthy through righteous effort, never dissatisfy the Truthful intellectuals, nurture your population, granary and domesticated animals, be self-sufficient, never bow before any sinful for your needs and all these things should mean to attain supreme Brahm.

And all the above advice has been remained as touching stone of the Hindu life. Hindu civilisation brought all the good things whether it is precious knowledge or precious goods from every corner of the world (aano bhadra kratavo yantu vishwatah’dabdhyaso apritaso udridah).

A consistent Scholar and a Logical Researcher will agree that India’s Life and its Religion are inseparable. Even the most debated the 1995 judgement of the Supreme Court also observed the same thing.

The 1^st fundamental thing about the Hindu religion and its understanding to its native lans speaks much about the Hindu Nationalism. The Hindu regards its Rastra as Mother Land, it adores its native land as sacred as a mother. It adheres, Janani Janbhumic’a Swrgad’api Gariyasi (Mother& Motherland both are far superior to Heaven) (Ramayan, Yudha kanda)

It is widely believed that every civilisation has growth and decay (law of civilisation and decay, by Brook Adams) and it is simply not a belief but numerous pieces of evidence are there to support it.

There are several factors which contributed to the decay of a civilisation which is otherwise called “Societal collapse” However, the Indian Civilisation escaped that natural process (!) You can say, Time eschewed the mundane edifices of Indus Civilisation but the intrinsic characteristics remained almost the same even after 7 thousand years (!). There is a big, big the question, How (?)

The factors like economical, Environmental, social and cultural is responsible for the death of a civilisation. There is any authenticate evidence of Environmental cause which ruined the Indo-Civilisation but there were many instances where the alien rulers tried to destroy the civilisation by manipulating it’s rich economical, Social and cultural ecosystem. The outcome of the manipulations was not yielded immediate result but weaken the edifice bit by bit and after 1200years, in 21^st century we are feeling the jolt(!).

It is believed that when a civilisation reaches its dusk, some structural modification usually carried out like, the civilisation becomes egalitarian, de-specialization of traditional skills, destratification of social structure, decentralization (Growing of Individual liberty), destructuralization of the ancient Institutions and depopulation. From the above points, it is clear that Indo-civilisation which survived long 7000/8000 years now at the stage of dusk(!) then what is the possible remedies?

The Only solution is the Renaissance of Hinduism.

Recapitalization for the ship has sailed

Since Demonetisation, Modi government has undertaken series of reformative steps, which the government termed as “Structural change” in the Indian Economy, however, remain (until now) evasive on the wound it caused to the economy.

On 24^th October, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s announced to infuse 2.11lakh crore into Public Sector Banks (PSBs) through Recapitalization and 7lakh crore investments on Mega Infrastructure projects. During this announcement, he said this move is unprecedented. The announcement is indicating two issues; First, Modi Government finally though not in words but in action agreed that there exist a serious financial crisis, which needs huge and urgent financial liquidity push amounting to around 10lakh crore and secondly, Government’s reservation on the disclosure of Issuance and type of bonds implies, it is still unconfident whether this move gives positive result.

By the by, our discussion is neither on how the recapitalization works nor to re-present the statements which were equivocally hyped by the government. Before elaborating my point, as a citizen of India I only can expect that Modi Government’s another “unprecedented” move might bring a positive consequence, unlike previous restructurings. The fiscal infusion into the PSBs and investment on infrastructure is recommended step for countering economic slowdown, but under certain circumstances and for a certain objective.

Before thrash out where Modi Government has done its estimation wrong or say more precisely, shifted its priorities for political image building, I would like to quote C. Rangarajan who worked shoulder to shoulder with Dr. Manmohan Singh as RBI chief, “structural reforms could not be introduced unless a degree of stabilization was achieved. On the other hand, stabilization by itself would not be adequate to prevent the recurrence of a similar crisis in the future. (Reforms 2020, Last 20 Years, Next 20 Years)

In the year 2014-15 when Narendra Modi took oath as Prime Minister of India, the economy was not vibrant like 2004-2010, nevertheless a mixed situation. Industrial growth was 4.8% (reviving since 2011-12), service sector growth was 1.8% lowest in the last decade (except 2012-13, 2013-14), and Agriculture growth was also lowest (4.6%) inflation and CPI was lowest in the last 5 years, export was high (323.4 billion USD), capital formation was moderate (36%). The gross fiscal deficit was 4.09% and revenue deficit was 2.89% of the total Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Public consumption was high (7% of the GDP) than the private consumption (4.5% of GDP), mean manufacturing sector had depended more on government. One deciding factor was, people had lots of liquid cash on hand to invest, but lion's share was invested on Real Estate and Bullions.

It would be a mature step for the Modi Government to choose and address technically some of the key issues from a number of concerns like unemployment, fiscal deficit, trade deficit, reviving sick PSBs, boost to manufacturing and agriculture sector. Instead of doing this government undertook several measures simultaneously. Modi government had preferred the revival of sick PSBs and sticking to fiscal consolidation. In the process, it had called for minimum government, maximum governance. To compensate the spending on manufacture and infrastructure it supportively allowed FDI through “Make in India” scheme. But till 2016 end, government for some mysterious reason failed to take a time-bound appropriate step to resolve the issues. Subsequently, this worsened the situation of the ailing sectors. The exasperated Modi Government had chosen a shortcut way i.e. “Demonetisation”. The aftermath situation can be rightly described by a quote of Gary Busey, “If you take shortcuts, you get cut short.”

In the year 2014-15, the total notes in circulation were 14483.12INR Billion and the notes held in banks was 621.31INR Billion and the Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) was 22.50%. Just before the Demonetisation the total money in circulation “unprecedentedly” increased to 16634.63 INR Billion and notes held in banking department was 662.09INR Billion as per the Statutory Liquidity Ratio adjusted to 20.75%. Repo Rate (6.25%) and reverse Repo (5.75%) Rate was also an all-time low. It seems that Government itself allowed people to take more credit from the Banks. In such situation, It seems highly suspicious that why Modi Government all of sudden increased the Notes in Circulation and overnight demonetised them. By the by demonetisation only did one thing it increased the currency availability in the banks considerably.

On 26^th October 2017, Arundhati Bhattacharya, the former head of State Bank of India (SBI) India’s largest PSB said in a media event that If they prepare extra for anything, then its fruit or result was better. Obviously, if there was more preparation (for demonetisation), then definitely it would have been less strenuous on us.

When the whole Economy was yet to heal from the onslaught of demonetisation, Modi government has pushed another ambitious reformation, Goods and Service Tax (GST) with a mid-night celebration in Parliament house. GST, which Narendra Modi, PM of India termed as Good and Simple Tax made such a mess that GST council made more than 7 amendments including tax structures within four months since its implementation on 1^st July 2017. The government, as usual practice, hide the weaknesses but puffed that the first quarter since the roll out the Indirect tax collection rose than the previous years. However, in reality, it deliberately concealed the amount to be returned as input credit. An Independent estimation revealed that there are more than 20million job loss and more than 20 thousand small and medium industries closed down after the twin blow of demonetisation and GST.

Let’s have a look at the data provided by the RBI in his Handbook-2017, in 2016-17 financial years, Gross bank credit outstanding with Agriculture and allied sector is 9923.87INR Billion, MSME (26800INR Billion), Retail trade (2346.87INR Billion). Many sectors (except manufacturing 2014-15 3800INR Billion, 2015-16 3714 INR Billion and 3697 INR Billion) has taken new credit to start or boost their business before the GST rollout. Similarly, except Chemicals and Chemical products, Basic Metal and metal products, Rubber, Plastic & their products, and Leather and leather products, credit inflow to all other industry sectors have been decreasing since 2013-14. A government should be more cautious while bringing out any painstaking financial reforms when only a few sectors are optimistic in their business. Instead of widening the positive outlook it allowed to do more economic as well as policy blunders. For example, the BJP and its rightwing Hindutva ideologues went after Cow protection, which almost devastated the Leather and leather-based industry, which had been on the considerable growth track.

When most of the industries not optimistic and don’t find useful to turn the face towards Banks for their business, Modi government infused a lump sum amount in the PSBs. As SBI’s new chairman Rajnish Kumar in an interview pointed out that after the recapitalisation Bank might give more priority to manufacturing industries like steel and cement and less interest rate for certain baskets. This presumption came forward because of government, on the other hand, investing around 7 lakh crore in the mega infrastructure Projects like Bharatmala in the next 5 years. It mean both government and Banks shifted their priorities to certain areas of interests. This will be another blunder, as the Investment on infrastructure gives fiscal gain at a distant future also increase the fiscal deficit, as per the report India’s fiscal deficit during April-August touched 96.1% of the budget estimate for the full fiscal year that ends on March 2018. The deficit was 76.4% of the full year target during the same period a year ago.

Since the Recapitalisation initiative for Modi government is not new as I have pointed out earlier in this article. In 2014-15, it launched one of the ambitious Indradhanush scheme to rescue the PSBs which are burdened by the Bad loans and NPAs. It planned to infuse 70,000crore over the four years. Consequently, the Recapitalization scheme of Modi government is not at all unprecedented, but the amount which Finance Ministry put forth. Recapitalization scheme is not new and also at hand fiscal activity to bail out the banking sector, but it is very crucial how to bailout without further burden on the state exchequer.

While giving clarification to this Finance Minister Jaitley said, the Rs 2.11 lakh crore capital infusions into the banking sector will come over the next two years. It will come in three parts. The government itself will directly pay banks Rs 18,000 crore by buying their shares. It will also encourage banks to raise Rs 58,000 crore from the market. But the bulk of the amount – Rs 1.35 lakh crore – is expected to come from recapitalisation bonds.

According to Reserve Bank of India estimates, the total excess deposits accrued to the banking system due to demonetisation was in the range of Rs 2.8 lakh crores to Rs 4.3 lakh crore. It is these excess deposits that the banks are expected to use to buy the recapitalisation bonds.

Many economists and financial advisors had exhorted Modi Government to increase liquidity ratio to make economy float safely in the crisis. Conversely, Modi government allowed a moderate 10k crore capital infusion for the PSBs in the 2017 budget and push for consolidation of the banking sector. But all of the sudden walling the process of consolidation of PSBs, not bringing out an evolutionary mechanism for debt recovery in a haste government is going to infuse huge money in the banks, even though it is not sufficient. According to the Fitch ratings on September 2017, by 31 March 2019, Indian PSBs need 65USD billion (around 4lakh 23 thousand crores) to meet Basel III capital standards.

In 18^th November 2016 when asked in Loka Sabha to provide details of the Loan defaulters and give data state-wise The Union government in his answer remained evasive to provide the names and state-wise data. According to the information given by Ministry of finance, in 2013-14 the wilful defaulters were 6336 with an amount of 45,731INR Crore which grew considerably in 2015-16 to 8,167 with an amount of 76,685INR Crore. The recovery and conviction rate were also not satisfactory.

According to the information given by Care Ratings on the Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) of PSBs, within 1 and quarter years the NPA ratio has grown from 7.69% to 10.21% in June 2017. Data shows soon after the GST roll out the NPAs increased manifold. There is an understandable reason behind it, as government delayed the repayment of input credit, Business needs more credit to run its business forward. Although RBI, not changed its interest rate, it is not easy to lend money to all the sectors.

Secondly, the difficulty of distribution of the recapitalisation fund to the banks. Since, till June 2017, the 11 PSBs account for a share of 67% of the total NPAs 829,338INR Crore. SBI, PNB, BOI, IDBI, BoB account for a share of 47.4% totalling to 3,93,154 INR crore. If the government will focus on NPAs of PSBs only the state-owned banks and other cooperative banks will suffer collaterally as most state governments are not in a condition to bail out their own banks.

I’m going to conclude by quoting Johan O’ Donohue, “Our trust in the future has lost its innocence. We know now that anything can happen from one minute to the next. Politics, Religion, economics, and the institutions of family and community all have become abruptly unsure.”

FDI In India: Mouth filling but a Vaulting Horse

For the first time on August 17 this year, Astro-Physicists, Scientist for the first time detected the collision of two neutron stars, which happened at a distance of 130million light years from the earth. They also found that the collision also produced gravitational waves, light with an abundance of precious metal like Gold, platinum. The most astounding galactic activity divulged on 16^th October, after much research and analysis. Where the precious metals went? Have we received the dust of those precious metals? If received, how much? These questions may seem to be much weird and irrelevant to our discussion

Let’s assume that the collision of those neutron stars is like allowing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and its impact on a prevailing economy. Which has some immediate effect and some might be detected in the remote past. After the acceptance of Globalisation and subsequent Economic Liberalisation, Every developing country believed that FDI is like “a cosmic scale atom Smasher of energies for beyond humans ever will be capable to build”( what scientist described the Neutron stars collision) which can bring loads of fortunes to their economy. Yes, of course, since its implementation the FDIs proving as boosters to the economy of the developing and third world countries. All are much pleased with its short-term gains, but like the neutron stars collision many of the issues yet to be experienced. Some of them experienced but remain without explanation.

Now, come precisely to our topic. I have studied many researched articles and papers on FDI, 80% of them equivocal on certain pros and cons. For the last two decades, since the implementation of FDI in India, the protests and criticisms on FDI remain almost limited to the Political debates. There are research works, but most of them lack inductive reasoning or authentic micro-level case studies on the FDI and its impact on the economy.

Indian Government in 1966 and 1985 tried to allow FDI but it failed. In the late 1990s, during PV Narshima Rao(PMO)-Dr. Manmohan Singh(FM) severely debt-ridden India allowed FDI under the structural economic reform process. In 2006, under Dr Manmohan Singh(PMO) and P. Chidambaram(FM) further liberalised the FDI inflow through an automatic process, which doesn't need Government Permission but a compliance to Reserve Bank of India (RBI). In 2013, India government made almost all the sectors open to the FDIs. In the Last two years, Under the Modi Government, it gets much enhancement with high voltage publicity on the name of “Make in India”. The Economic doldrums which arise after the Demonetisation and GST, Modi Government jumped quickly with a data sheet to prove that these reformations increased the FDI inflows. But In 2015, the India overtook China and US as the top destination for FDI.

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) defines FDI as to take control of owning 10% or more of the business. Businesses that make foreign direct investment are often called as Multi-National Corporations (MNCs) or Multinational Enterprises (MNEs). An MNE may make a direct investment by creating a new foreign enterprise, which called Greenfield investment or by the acquisition of a foreign firm, either called an acquisition of or Brownfield investment.

Since its implementation, Indian Government insisting on the Technological Transformation/up-gradation, Employment Generation, easing Demand-Supply chain, Revenue Generation besides there is a belief that FDI can be a tremendous source of External Capital which can lead economic development.

Now come to the statistical figures, Research works like Sirari and Bohra (2011) on FDI & growth of service sector in India pointed out the growth of service sector to GDP is directly proportional to FDI. I’m here to point out some casual relationship between gloomy economic issues directly linked to FDI. For it, I’m taking three sectors Innovation, Agriculture, and Micro and small Industries especially cottage industries in India.

Mr. Mukharjee In his research paper quoting Coughlin, Terza and Aromdee (1989, United States) said that the number of potential sites, state per capita income, manufacturing density within a state, better transportation infrastructure, higher unemployment rates and higher expenditures to attract FDI were positively linked to FDI flows. On the other hand, higher wages and higher tax rates had a negative impact on FDI flows.

However, In the Chinese context, based on panel data covering 98 hinterland cities of China for the years 1999 to 2005, Luo et al (2008) found that well-established factors such as natural resources and low labour costs were not important in determining FDI flows to China’s hinterland. Instead, policy incentives and industrial agglomerates were the most important determining factors for FDI flows.

There is no fixed rule which can attract FDI. It depends upon the variety of economic and Political situation of the invested countries. However, two things are noticeable from the above observations, firstly, the Investors have more decisive role than the government of the invested countries, and secondly, the major attraction for the FDI is low input cost both of Material and Human resources for production and Market. It can be explicitly concluded that the Invested country is always at the receiving end.

When we come to our own country, the FDI inflows to it dominated by the Automatic Route and followed by the Reinvested Earnings and acquisition of shares. FDI through Government approval route is gradually declining year on year basis (RBI, Atri Mukherjee).

In the initial years, the FDI was dominated by the retail sector, but later it is shifted to the Service sector. In 2014-15 the FDI inflows to service sector were INR27,369 Cr, in 2015-16 it increased to INR 45,415 Cr and during 2016-17 (March 31) it is INR58, 214 Cr. Between 2000 and 2017 total FDI inflows is INR316,568 Cr, which is highest among any other investment. This is followed by Computer Software & Hardware, Construction Development and Built-up Infrastructure, telecommunication, Automobile Industry and Drugs & Pharmaceuticals.

But the India’s International Trade (Export and Import) largely dominated by Mineral fuels, Mineral oils (35% of the total imported Goods and 20% of Exported goods) followed by pearls, precious and semi-precious stones (11% & 12% ) and the top destination for export is USA and UAE, which is around 27% of the total exports. While the top two Importers to India are China and UAE, both contributed 22% of the total imports. It shows that in India, the sectors which attract highest FDI are not helping much in the international trade rather targeting domestic market. Now I place an example how the government is totally zilch on the Innovation and technological up-gradation of Indigenous products. The Lather and Lather products accounted almost 21% of the total exports but the FDI inflow to it is negligible i.e. .02%.

As said by the FDI fact sheet (till 2017, March 31), Government of India, since 2000 the Maharashtra (with some varies) was the topmost destination of FDI inflows with 31% of total inflows to India, followed by Punjab/Haryana (New Delhi 20%) , Tamil Nadu(7%), Karnataka(7%), Gujarat(5%) and Andhra Pradesh(4%). It is conspicuous that the economically advanced states receive Lion’s Share of FDI inflows.

Nunnenkamp and Stracke (2007) found a significant positive correlation of FDI with per capita income, population density, per capita bank deposits, telephone density, level of education and per capita net value added in manufacturing in India.

When we are talking about the employment and income growth, the Per capita FDI inflows has no direct link or an overlapping link to the per capita NSDP or Annual wages per worker. Andaman & Nicobar Island has 0% per capita FDI inflow during 2010-11 but the Per capita NSDP 76,883INR and annual wages per worker is 65,831INR, but during the same period Andhra Pradesh received 679INR per capita FDI inflow but the per capita NSDP is much below than A&N i.e. 62, 912INR and annual wages per worker is 61,007INR. Similarly, Goa Received highest per capita FDI inflows and its per capita NSDP is 1, 68,572 INR and annual wages per worker is 1, 26,788 INR. Although Jharkhand got 0% per capita FDI inflow and its annual wages per worker is much higher than that of Goa i.e. 1, 49,847 INR.

Now come to the Agriculture and Allied sector. The FDI inflows to it are below .58%. The total foreign investment is on fertilizers are .17%, Agriculture machinery (.11%), Food processing industries 2.27% (but most of the food processing industries dominated by meat and seafood). There are a thousand varieties of indigenous seeds and farm animals breeds but very few got patented. Now the foreign investment on Genetic Modified seeds is being encouraged by the Government. Some research works on Madhya Pradesh accused the forceful implementation of GM farming to the growing Farmers' suicide incident (Fig-2). At some point, the most developed States, which also attracts a major portion of FDI is unavoidably linked with Farmer deaths. (Fig-3)

The incoherent government policy on the Agriculture already weakened the Farmer's economy. Now to make FDI more attractive to Foreign Investor's government putting unreasonable pressure on the land to create a conducive environment.

The investment procedures and double taxation avoidance treaties are the major cause of tax heavens. But the government has paid little interest to eradicate the menace. Even Last year, at several occasions Modi Government reiterated to bring reformations in the Mauritius Route (Fig-4) in FDI but no authentic steps have been taken so far. Rather the FDI has found a new route i.e. Singapore to avoid taxation in India. In the next article, we will discuss on the dark side of this international investment routes.

Indian Perestroika: From this point to future

After 70 years, India going through a new phase. Government under Narendra Modi has tried to bring a structural change of the entire economic, social and governmental setup mostly influenced by the right-wing ideologies. Since 2014, India has also experienced many reformations some of which are government induced and some independently through legal and international aspects. Can all these reformations bring a better future? There is no simple answer to it, but a section is Hopeful and another section is skeptical to it.

After 3 years, we are in the middle of the evolution of Economical, Social, legal and political policies. However, the situation is such that we neither rewind the process nor has same enthusiasm to embrace all of them. Now be specific to the question, can this Perestroika of Indian Economy move forward with the same spirit? International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its recent world economic outlook and the World Bank both are positive but with an asterisk mark, which clearly stated: “if government thrust for the change remains unchanged”. Will the Government resolution remain same? It is a big question and also a game changer. Many International and national financial and governmental policy watchers including IMF and WB positive towards Modi Government for a single most powerful reason that it has a strength of democratic numbers, unlike previous government. In the contrary the forecast based on the mechanical analysis of statistical data only which has complete blind towards several relative issues like, the commitment of government machinery, implementation strategy, and people’s emotional response to the pros and cons of the policies.

Policies are the binding force between centre and state, more precisely it determined the quality of the relationship between Government and its people, which in turn establish a collective effort for the nation’s development. Besides this, most of the economic policies are designed to solve particular problems at a particular time. Not all policies are a panacea to the plethora of problems for all the times. So, for the sustainability of the economic development, we have only two options, allow the policies for continuous evolution or formulate it with a collective approach. But, the fundamental predicament of the policies which brought disasters and severe criticism is Modi government’s plan to build watertight and congruent policy order with an aim for universal application throughout time (!) in a simple sentence, Modi Government unlikely to accept India as a unity of diversified interests and economic life.

Of Late, the intellect of the Modi Government accepted the truth. On 11^th of this month, in the 1^st meeting of Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to Prime Minister emphasised the government to stay firm on the reformation but recommended to evaluate the policies and ready to take suggestions from beyond the rightwing contours. However, when the government has a congenital right-wing instinct and within a few months going to face series of assembly elections and general election, will this suggestion be implemented with its true spirit? The voters of 2019 will not be like 2014’s, the Image of the BJP is diminishing, Voters trust much strained due to promiscuous promises. In such condition, these democratic exercises have largely determined the future of the policies and the ability of the government.

Even if we presumed that the Modi Government will pass through unscathed in the next 2 years, the IMF figures are not so high-flying for India in comparison to the other nations with a similar economic scenario.

In 2009, the year when the whole world was under the grip of severe economic recession, India’s total investment was 36.480 percentage of the GDP. In the current year, it further declined to 29.936 and as per the IMF forecast in 2022 it will be 30.936. It will be wrong to give a reason that with an increase of the government investment in infrastructure and productivity of the human resources the forecast will be altered. Without proper utilisation of the human resources and private investment, the government spending will be more than the revenue and subsequent decrease in savings.

This situation further pointed out by IMF, in 2009, the Gross National Savings (GNS) was 33.665 percentage of GDP. In 2017, it is 28.558 and in 2022 it will be 27.939 (% GDP). This implies government is spending is more its income than it produces.

The government revenue in the current year is 21.130 percentage of GDP while it was 18.518 in 2009. In 2022 it will be 21.326. Mean, the subsequent years the revenue generation is not increasing but will remain static. In contrary to the static revenue generation, the government expenditure is decreasing around 10% year-on-year basis. In 2009, the expenditure was 28,052, in 2017 it is 27,488 and in 2022 it will be 26,683. But recently, more WB supported SANKALP and STRIVE scheme and increase of salaries by implementing 7^th pay commission recommendations, the government showed its keenness for the more government spending to counter GDP growth. This is also somehow against to the suggestions of the IMF and detrimental to the future sustainable and inclusive growth of India.

Further, the declining government savings implies two issues, one, in future manufacturing industry will be more dependent on the government purchases and second, and people will spend more on consumption. If we take the 2^nd issue, it implies the growing CPI inflation in coming years.

Although IMF is hopeful for the Increase of GDP, it will reach 300,223,330 Billion INR (at current price) than the current 167,184,181 billion INR. Meanwhile, the data also indicates that the GDP deflator index also increasing. In 2009, it was 87.183 and current year it is 128.518 and in 2022 it is forecasted to 158.002. This implies two major things, the loopholes of the government planning to subdue the declining GDP and increasing the cost of living. Increasing cost of living is a clear sign of an increase of Poor-Rich gap and expansion of population under chronic poverty.

While, Modi government tries to blend its Right-wing economic model to the neoliberalism, but to tackle the economic problem it follows the Keynes model. If the government went further without any amendment to the present economic model, in near future government will be more blamed. If in order to gain mass popularity, the government would reduce or avoid taxation (Land, Gold, Oil not under the GST purview) and then meet the revenue shortfall by the creation of more artificial money, eventually it will lead more corruption like previous government coupled with a maladroit economic situation.

How much Modi Government trying to stifle the growing piques on the Jay shah's alleged financial gain issue, it is another incident which further exposed the Modi Government to the Reality-Shock Syndrome. Recently, the RBI’s Quarterly Policy Report and Earlier to this the Centre’s financial report on GDP and Economic Survey already made the Government incarcerated to the situation.

Jay AmitBhai Shah, the only son of most powerful Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah. The Wire, an online media house uncovered the alleged financial misappropriation which gives Jay a whopping 16,000 times monetary gain within 2 years. The amount of truth behind the accusation is yet to be proved (if Modi Government or a judicial proceeding wants). It has put an incorrigible question mark on the submission of the Modi Government and its precision on corruption. Although the issue is not related to any members of the treasury bench for which the government to take the blame, yet it is the subject directly impinge on the party’s very sensitive part, its image.

Before going to the details, it is relevant to quote Tom peters and Nancy Austin from their book “A passion for excellence: The leadership difference”.

People have ego and developmental needs ...and they will commit themselves only to the extent that they can see ways of satisfying these needs.
People cannot be truly motivated by anyone else...That door is locked from inside.
When people are in an atmosphere of Trust, they will put themselves at risk, only through risk is there growth....reward...self-confidence...leadership.

Now, come straight to the 3rd point, since 2014 Election Campaign Narendra DB Modi time again has reiterated that the “corruption” is the biggest enemy of the country and it is the only hurdle to India’s development. He promised that his mission as Prime Minister is not to enjoy power but to uproot it. He also cautioned that the fight against corruption is not so easy and called the people’s support to be ready to bear the difficulties patiently during these fighting. People unquestionably believed his Magniloquence. Extended support not only during demonetisation but also in his every disastrous reformation.

Contrary to the situation, during the same time, in recession stuck Brazil People came out to the streets and forced the government to rollback demonetisation. In Brazil, there was widespread resentment, spontaneous Protest sparked overnight. In many Western Countries, it is evident that if the government failed in any economic administration, the people’s remonstration is intense. But, in India the situation is different. People are more forbearing and indulgent towards such situations.

Now, come to the 2nd point, It seems that soon after 4 months of the implementation of demonetisation people de-motivated slowly but surely. As most of the economic reforms could not substantiate the Modi Government’s claim on corruption, Black-Money, Terrorism, Parallel economy, digital transaction, except the government forced surroundings. Rather the economic reforms posed as a stumbling block to the big ticket schemes like “Startup India”, “Make in India”, “Smart City Mission”, and “Skill Development”. Besides this, Modi-Government unable to boost the Export of indigenous products except for software

The Spice of India, most demanding products faced severe hardship during all these years. In the year, 2016-17 (Apr-June) the export reduced to 621.78US$ from 2432.85US $ (2014-15). Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) Export performance abridged. In the year 2015-16, total export of Agri and Allied products was 43,369.62INR Cr which is reduced to 6,398INR Cr in 2016-17. PEC, a Government company, primarily engaged in export of projects, engineering equipment and manufactured goods, defense equipment & stores and import of industrial raw materials, bullion and agro commodities also faced financial constraints. Sales turnover reduced from 9780INR Cr (2013-14) to 3746 INR Cr (2016-17). Similarly, the sectors which declined are Processed meat (-77%), Leather and leather manufactures (-6.08%), Chemical and Related Products (-73%). Plastic & Rubber Articles (-2.68%), Base metals (like Iron, Aluminium, Copper) (-6.25%), except machine and Telecom instruments the export of other electronic items reduced. In the IT sector, Software service export growth dropped off (5.6% in 2012-13 to -.7% in 2016-17), IT-BPM export growth reduced from 11.1% (2012) to 7.8% (2017). All these sectors accounted 40% of the total exported goods and services.

Last but foremost, In the above mentioned psychological traits of people in relation to an organization or a nation, the first assertion is on the people’s ego and development needs, which now are dwindling. As now, when people see that the Modi Government is noiseless on the perpetrators of corruption, Black Money rather their own men has been accused of the series of corruption charges. Employment is not generated as per the Election Manifesto but to a certain extent adding numbers to the unemployment.

It seems that the chest thumping on development and projecting himself “Vikash Purush” (Messiah of development) won’t produce development. The statistical figures of the government itself negate the claim of the Modi Government. It shows that either Government is suffering from Hemispatial neglect Syndrome (a person who could not see or recognise the other half of the things) or it is a deliberated attempt of manipulation of facts, doctored data and managed publicity to hide its weakness.

For example, the Modi government’s one of the most hyped programs is the rural electrification scheme. The government maintained that even after 70years of Independence many villages having without electricity and they are doing a tremendous job to make all of them electrified. But in reality, before 2014, except Jharkhanda, Bihar, Odisha, UP, WB and Assam all the states achieved electrification between 90-98%.

In the Human development index (HDI) India already gained 4 positions before 4 and within last 3 years the condition not improved well even after the increase of budgetary allocation on social welfare schemes. According to the economic survey report (2016-17) part-2, Indonesia, Brazil, Sri Lanka and Malaysia are far better-performed nations than India.

T S Venketaraman (Management Crises and Strategies for Growth, The Hindu Speaks on Management) rightly quotes, "... the financial difficulty is a result of several managerial mistakes made months or sometimes years ago. If a manager has misused funds once, he will do the same next time if he is given more money."

On 5^th October, almost one year after the implementation of Demonetisation, addressing the company secretaries Narendra DB Modi, The Prime Minister of India said, some get a sound sleep at night only after proliferate Pessimistic notion about the Government and on the Economy. According to the Human behavioral psychology, it is a sign of self-soothing expression, but his remark to the critics really mean?

Before digging into the Prime Minister Narendra DB Modi’s Economic policy and how optimistically it is taking the Country’s Economy growth forward, it is amusingly relevant to point out the possible inspiration which shaped his understanding.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Samgha (RSS) which is the topmost advisory council to the present day BJP government on Statecraft and External affairs mostly influenced by Kautilya @Chanakya. There is no wrong to get inspiration from the great man, who laid the foundation stone of the Democratic Monarchical system and developed a pan Indian Spirit. But it is something abnormal with the brain that thinks which were relevant some 1500yrs ago can be implemented nowadays with exact significance.

Mr. Modi’s sudden announcement of Demonetisation, surprising announcement of various schemes, his Religio-Political gimmicks all are understandable from a chapter of Artha Shastra; the sloka (5.2.39-45) narrates how to exploit the gullibility of the people.(Kautilya- The Artha Shastra, L N Rangarajan, penguin)These include:

-Building overnight, as if it happened by a miracle, a temple or a sanctuary and promote the holding of fairs and festivals in honour of the miraculous deity;

- Exploiting an unnatural happening, such as an unseasonal flower or fruit, by making it into a divine phenomenon;

- Using secret agents to frighten people into making offerings to drive away an evil spirit;

- Playing tricks on people by showing a cobra apparently with many heads, or a stone cobra coming alive;

- selling remedies against evil occult manifestations.

If people are not taken in so easily, they should be frightened into doing so.

The next chapter also elaborates (5.2. 46-51) other methods of cheating to collect revenue.

The Artha Shastra is not purely like modern day Economics. It is a treatise on statecraft and affairs of government and governed. Narendra Modi led government at the centre lacks this basic understanding about the economics. Why and How?

Firstly, the entire economic edifice and the administrative setup both good and bad are inherited from the previous government. But the Modi government has been evasive on this theory. Except for one or two instances, for some unavoidable circumstances, Modi government accepted the truth.

Secondly, which is, of course, the most perilous part that they always apprehensive to prove their stand right.

There may be a strong reason behind such approach; Firstly, BJP came to power by tarnishing every activity, schemes of the Congress-led UPA government, even though most of them were quite good and noble. So it will backfire if they recognise it publicly. Secondly, if they recognise the legacy of the previous government, there leaves little room for them to prove they are doing the best.

This is the fundamental mistake of the Modi government which makes them further secretive in making economic and administrative affairs.

Since my focus is on the economic situation, with an apology I am taking out the administrative and Political issues and reserve it for another article.

Economics is Primary cogwheel of a person’s life. Throughout one’s life, economics will play a major role in determining what one do and how happy he is doing it. Not only individual’s life Economics equally vital for a country. It influences the affairs of the government and determines the wellbeing of the nation as a whole.

The “Laissez-faire” philosophy which since the beginning of the 19^th century has been the driving force to determine the course of democracy and the role of the government is now becoming more complex. The advancement of new technologies basically Digitisation there is a growing demand for the de-materialization, de-monetisation, and democratisation of information, currency, and resources. The contours of Economics are also expanding and overlapping other areas. As the Income is largely depending on how effectively the nation or the individual participating in the economic process. Every step towards a more intricate economy brings new problems and economic interrelationships.

However, it seems that Modi government has learned the importance of the above facts. Hence with more enthusiasm, it is trying to implement the digital transactions. It demonetised, Simplified the Tax regime, wants to store the electronic database of every individual’s. But the Truth is, all these noble economic steps inherited from the previous government. Since Modi Government inherited the idea only not the understanding, it is facing a setback in every implementation.

In my previous article, “countering the economic crisis, Modi govt is on the horns of dilemma” I have analysed how India had made the standstill economy vibrant and successfully countered the 2008- 2010 global financial crisis and put the country’s GDP all-time high at +9%. Modi Government inherited a hale and hearty economy with some revolutionary schemes to implement further. The concept of the healthy economic scenario is neither a big leap nor total shifting of the track, but a sustainable and equitable development.

Between 2004 and 2012 most states did well in poverty alleviation. The Reduction of the poverty was 10 to 15 percent. Although the poverty in some states like Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat increased but the well known poor states like Bihar, MP, UP, Odisha, Rajasthan improved their “poverty reduction rank.” Other government data indicates that the increase in the urban poverty and large-scale migration to urban areas.

An economic life of a rural person is quite different from an urbanite. Even though they earn less than their urban counterparts they are somehow protected from the immediate impact of the unstable economic situation. Since, they highly relied on the simple life, dependence on home/local produced foods/goods, their monotonous diet, etc. Most of the Village folks live out his years never going more than 25miles (a rough estimation) from his home village.

Most of the Demonetisation sufferers are the urban poor and lower income groups, who left the village and earned their livelihood from the unorganised sector. There is no authentic data to show how much the unorganised sector affected by the demonetisation disaster. What the figures government are disseminating, likely to hoodwink the faults.

Many ministers including Finance minister, High rank officers narrated it was to give bolt to “Parallel Economy” run by “Black Money.” But there is no applied term in economics to describe Black Money; it is unaccounted money or untaxed money laundered in Tax heavens. The Parallel economy in its general usage refers to Black market. But in economics it has no negative sense, but a definition to bring more effective monitoring techniques. Economists like Feige defined it as, “hidden economy as including those economic activities which go unreported or are unmeasured by the prevailing techniques for monitoring economic activities.”

However, it is sure that the role of Hard currency for most of the activities in Black Market is highly implausible. On the other side there is an innocent world, where a Parallel economy has prevailed since time immemorial. It is the rural area which suffered most (though the impact varies from state to state depending upon the economic activities). How scanty the earning, it is hard earned from the unorganised sector. It never deposited in Banks, maneuvered by the unregistered local money lenders.

My firsthand experience says the demonetisation triggered the reverse migration. Many returned to the village. Ironically, before demonetisation, Modi Government contracted the budget allocation for many social welfare schemes. Due to contraction of the revenue allocation State governments were reluctant to spend on Infrastructure. The mining sector was under regression. The Market was highly susceptible because of the possible implementation of new tax order. Agriculture was under stress. Those who returned to villages found no employment immediately. For them, two optioned opened either they borrow money or sell and mortgage what they have. Modi Government totally closed its eye to all these factors.

Good Economy produces two things one is “Constant” another is “Equilibrium”. In Constant, like a cogwheel, it pulsates other things to run. Secondly, when a new economic composition brought forth it must give rise to a state of equilibrium. If the new economic order brings any capricious result it never termed as good economy.

In contrary, Modi Government arguably unwavering by debating that it is quite common to protest any novel Idea. However, this is rhetoric filled with a fallacy of Logic and reason.

Without rectification, the economic order, either in deliberation to implement its political agenda or to satiate its inferiority complex Modi Government has unabated in committing series of economic mistakes. It is a general sense of understanding that when the economic condition is highly volatile, one should not go for external aggression or become a perpetrator to the warlike situation. But Modi Government increased Defense budget, Undergone two warlike situations – Pathankot and Doklam Standoff, did surgical strikes. Conversely, in a fully employed economy, we must choose between guns and butter, If we use a big chunk of our productive resource for national defense our standard of living in civilian good is going to be correspondingly lower.

It is quite amazing that in one hand Modi government is talking to take India to a new height and showing dreams to make it Master of the World (Viswa Guru), on the other hand, it is tightening the noose around a healthy economy.

Before concluding my analysis, it is relevant to point out a major issue which may bring disaster to the Indian economy in the near future. As a close watcher of the world especially Indian Economy, I felt that the consumer behaviour of the Indians highly manipulated not by the market but by the Ruling Party (!). The demand for the variant goods now squeezed (may be due to various economic reasons) but there is a selective dissemination of demands, orientation for what to choose and what not to be chosen, imposed preference for a particular variety of goods. When we are competing with the world especially a neighboring country (China) which is very strong in the retail chain, such practice may bring the catastrophic result to many MSME sector and Innovations. It is imperative from the fact world market is skeptical to the “Make in India” products; Even The country’s own defense sector is not willing to absorb it.

Last though not the least, Now Modi Government planning for another blunder. It proposed to hold simultaneous elections. The argument for it is to reduce the burden of expenditure. But Modi Government should not forget that the Economy is a perennial process. The reformation only can be fruitful when you work persistently by remaining on the track. The early election may in distance future give some relaxation to the economy but the state exchequer which is already under the stress could be more brittle with this step.

By general agreement, it is the job of government to establish and enforce the basic rules to enable men to deal effectively together. Without understanding this, the slogan “collective effort, inclusive growth” will be an epithet of the abysmal dismay of Indian Economy.

Refugee, the Burden of Humanity

We, Hindu’s believe Transmigration of soul. It is a belief that the Death and Birth are perpetual actions and no animate, even The GOD can defy the birth-death cycle. When GOD takes birth, as we say it reincarnation, it also follows the same law. Difference between ordinary man and GOD is; GOD reincarnate according to its will, but ordinary person has no control on it. He has to take numerous births (approximately 84 lakh) in anticipation of the salvation or realisation of self. During this long journey, the life at a particular body is like an asylum. He takes the shelter of a body according to its past karma (deed). It indicated that the action determines the place of asylum, where you are authorised to certain tasks.

It is a general conviction that when a person took the shelter (asylum) of GOD, all his deeds forgiven and he is given a chance to realise or to atone for his mistakes or allowed to do pious deeds to alleviate his sins. From the time immemorial, the Holy places have been regarded as asylum of GOD. In India, many sacred places Kasi (Varanasi), Ujjain, Puri (SriKhetra), Kedarnath, Badrinath falls in that category. A man who takes shelter there, he is free from any prosecution, can escape from the legal consequences.

Many great Saints opined that India, (Bharat Barsa in Jambhu Dwipa) is a place where a man get an opportunity to realise the self, can wash his sins. Therefore without caste, religious belief, gender discrimination a person allowed here to lead such life where he can get salvation by washing his sins.

A person who takes shelter of GOD usually renounces all worldly desires & pleasures which are inimical to the self-realisation or atonement. As his belongings what he has been accumulated unable to help to escape from the consequences of his misdeeds. His past world and life is quite different from the life under the GOD’s mercy. He must free from indulgence to become a disciplined, humble and loyal to the path of self-realisation.

Many Hindu scriptures uphold the act of asylum to the people in distress and need. All prescribe that the ultimate duty of a person is the protection of the life and dignity of the asylum seeker. Many from the Sriram’s sena objected the idea of asylum to Vibhishan, the younger brother of Ravan*.

When Vibhishan came to Sriram with his four loyal followers, the Monkey chieftain Sugreeb in a skeptical ordered his army to prepare for possible attack. At this The words of Vibhishan to their concern were striking. He said, “In vain, I strove to turn him (Ravana) from his wicked designs and counseled him to restore seta and seek Raama’s forgiveness. All the response i got was disdain and public insult. Hence I am standing here before you. Renouncing Kingdom, Wife, Children, I seek service and sanctuary at Raama’s feet. I pray you, convey this information to Raama.”

Sugreeba Mistrusted the good faith of the Monster King’s brother and reported thus to Sriram, “Vibheeshana, the brother of Raavana, has come here with his four friends seeking sanctuary at your feet. They are standing there in the sky. ...These monsters are adepts in duplicity. They can make themselves invisible and do many other tricks. They have all the skill and courage of the wicked. One cannot trust them. ...They have come here to mix with us for subversive purposes or else they intend seeking an opportunity to assassinate the leaders in our camp. Whatever Vibheeshana may say, we cannot forget that he is the brother of our foe. By birth he belongs to the wicked Raakshasa Race.”

Everyone in the Srirama’s camp including the chief advisor Jambhaban declined to give shelter to Vibhishana. But Hanumana, the mighty warrior, most wise and loyal follower of srirama said, “...Vibheeshana has not approached us stealthily. He has come to us with frank openness and a clear object. What is there for scouts to discover about him? It has been said by some that his sudden advent is suspicious. But why? What wonder is there if Vibheeshana became disgusted with Raavana and foresaw his certain disgrace and defeat? What wonder is there if he recognised your heroic virtues and nobility and the certainty of your victory? “

When Sugreeba, the chieftain not satisfied with the suggestions of Hanuman, Srirama exhorted Sugreeba with gentle voice, “I see what you mean. But listen. It is natural for kings to suspect brothers and neighbour kings. Good kings who entertain no such suspicion are exceptions....I conclude therefore that, he has no sinister motive against us in coming here for refuge. Letus go further and grant that he has eyes on the kingdom, expecting Raavana’s defeat at our hands. Even in this ambition there is nothing wrong....I would accept him without hesitation. How then can i reject his (raavana) brother who has done me no wrong?”

In Mahabharat, When Baka, the heron who is supposed to be incarnation of Dharma, the God Righteousness put questions to Yudhisthira, the elder brother of Pandavas and promised to return the lives of his brothers if only the answer is correct. The first question is; what is Happiness? Yudhisthira answered*, “A person who cooks vegetables in his own home, who has no debts and who is not in exile, is truly happy.” And the Last question is; what is Highest Dharma in the world? Yudhisthira replies: “Compassion is the highest Dharma.” It is certainly that un-cruelty and non-injury is not compassion, it is feeling the pain and sorrow alike and sharing one’s own happiness with the distressed.

In this context, I remember the answer of J Krishnamurthy to why people quarrel? – Do you know why small children quarrel? They are quarreling for the toys, right. Older persons also quarrel/fight but not exactly for toys but for Reputation, Ego, Property, Power etc. These are like toys for them.

Animals also fight for territory. The belonging to their territory is more or less biological; the preservation of territory is one of the important issues for their survival. According to the territorial behaviour of animals, their territory is six types according to their need. They can compromise with the home range (which usually overlaps with) but can’t with their territories. They protect their territory with different acts from sent marking to defense. Very often they intimidate their intruders and defend their territory by Ritualised Aggression, without engaging in fights which are expensive in terms of energy and risk of injury.

Calhoun (1956, 1962) conducted an experiment in which a colony of Norway rats was made to live in an overcrowded pen. Although the rats were allowed to roam in various compartments, they ended up living together in one pen. Calhoun termed this phenomenon “pathological togetherness”. The rats’ fertility was lowered and their life span was shortened. Mann sums up by saying; “In mice, overcrowding in laboratory cages leads to abnormal sexual behavior, decreased reproductive and nursing capacities, and aborted pregnancies, deficient maternal care for the young and disrupted next building.” (Mann, 1969, P. 17)

We, Human beings are not exactly like animals, much civilised, intelligent and intellectually superior. The territorial behaviour of human beings often termed as “Hunger for Culture” William Langland rightly described – “For he has given you gifts for governing yourself freely; these are Wit and Free Will; each creature has its portion, Flying fowls and fish and Mammals, But man has the most, and is the most blameworthy.”

The human territory broadly is three kinds- Tribal, Family, and Personal. All the Social instincts are any way connected to National territory, Nationalism or patriotism. Territorial behaviour is at large related to a homogenous group consisting of a few members, who share common culture, behavioral pattern. According to Desmond Morris, “Today each nation flies its own flag, a symbolic embodiment of its territorial status. But patriotism is not enough. The ancient tribal hunter lurking inside each citizen finds himself unsatisfied by membership in such a vast conglomeration of individuals, most of whom are totally unknown to him personally. He does his best to feel that he shares a common territorial defense with them all, but the scale of the operation has become inhuman.”

History is evident that many indigenous tribes perished in the process of demarcation of the territorial unit of a nation. They became refugee in their own land where they lived for generations. For them their personal and family life is dearer than any other sociological issues like Religion, Culture.

According to the UNHCR, a refugee, generally speaking, is a displaced person who has been forced to cross national boundaries and who cannot return home safely. Such a person may be called an asylum seeker until granted refugee status by the contracting state or the UNHCR. According to the UN 1951 Refugee Convention adopted, “...owing to well founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality and is unable or, owing to such fear, is un willing to avail himself of the protection of that country; or who, not having a nationality and being outside the country of his former habitual residence as a result of such events, is unable or, owing to such fear, is unwilling to return to it.”

Swami Vivekananda in his “on himself” said, “I believe in God, and i believe in man. I believe in helping the miserable. I believe in going even to hell to save others.” (I believe..., Chapter 10).

Those who displaced forcefully from his own land (country) usually choose a country which is secure, humane and tolerant to take asylum. It is apparent that the dislocation from the own land is more pathetic and painful. According to Vivekanada’s words, “One wants to lose the individual in the universal, one renounces, flies off, and tries to cut himself off from all associations of the body, of the past, one works hard to forget even that he is a man; yet, in the heart of his heart, there is a soft sound, one string vibrating, one whisper, which tells him, East or West, home is best.”

So, everyone who renounces his land, home waits for the time to return to his land, own land where he born and brought up. So, it is the generous responsibility of a person to facilitate the displaced person to make arrangements to return to his own land safely and dignifiedly. It has been seen that United Nation and some other nations who give shelter to the refugees not making much effort on it. Consequently, the host nation faces some most frightening issues which are quite hard to address.

“In a way, to be indifferent to the suffering is what makes the human being inhuman. Indifference, after all, is more dangerous that anger and hatred...indifference is not a beginning, it is an end. And therefore indifference is always the friend of the enemy.” (The perils of Indifference, Elie Wiesel, Speeches that changed the world P-268).

At present context when most of the nations’ politics are driving by Right wing Nationalism, the Patriotism is now turned into chauvinism or jingoism. The Political set up which rules want to thwart the liberalism and secular traditions, which the whole world (!) in concept accepted after the horror of the World Wars. Even though Refugee is a complex socio-economical issue, but complete indifference to it warrants more complex problems endangering the very basic existence of humanity. The indifference to the Refugees including internally displaced persons will give rise to a permanent mass psychological degeneration like chronic terrorism and inhuman activities.

Kautilya, besides the great social, administrative reformer and statesman, he is also the forerunner of the Statecraft, Nationalism, Patriotism never banned the humanitarian support even to the enemy during calamity, crisis but urged to be cautious and judicious dealing with the asylum seekers. He left to the choice of the king of the host country to act according to the safety, capacity and resource of the nation. He further prescribed that the giving asylum of a different country should be decided according to the foreign policies; however, he didn’t set down rigid foreign policy.

He further emphasized that the foremost duty of the Ruler is to bring the confidence of the subject, whether they are from the foreign land or the subjects of the conquered territory. Kautilya has not mentioned explicitly about the refugees but mentioned that people from the foreign land should be allowed to live in a village, which is distinctly controlled under certain restrictions and relaxation.

The instructions of Kautilya are somehow relevant to certain situations, but the world scenario is changed drastically since then. The pressure of land and resources are growing according to the growth of the population. We cannot drive them to a virgin land to settle or to extend humanitarian support for them for the unlimited period of time without giving them the right to live with dignity and freedom. In such situation refugee issue certainly, calls immediate solution not for a single country but for the whole world. It is a burden of Humanity.

Countering the Economic Crisis, Modi Govt is on the horns of dilemma

I’m neither a great economist like Dr Manmohan Singh, Ex-Prime Minister of India who can predict accurate figures on Economic Crisis nor a panel expert in live newsrooms who are full of biased and half-knowledge of the economic situation. I belong to a state where except 100 odd law makers, mining owners, industrialists, and High-rank officers all are lower middle class or poor. I usually travel extensively through rural Odisha and some part of eastern India. From my first hand experience of the economic situation I can say that the present Economic situation in India is like on the horns of dilemma.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had Visualised a “New India”, in other words to make some of the Indian cities as “showcase” of development. He knew the situation of urban-centric development, as in 2011 among 100 fastest growing cities of the world India has 25. He also well calculated the strength and their aspirations of the youth population of India, which stood almost 50% of the total 132 crore populations. Another important aspect of the youth population is the percentage of married women in younger age groups (15-19) has declined drastically from 70% (1961) to only 20% (2011). Student enrolment in higher education if highest which is almost 80%. With these demographic figures this decade has seen a major shift of people’s expectation and political orientation.

Since the days of major economic reforms in 1990s, the Indian economy gradually started competing with world’s other nearly developed countries especially Brazil, South Africa, China. The per capita income also increased from 1130 US dollar in 2006 to 1646 US dollar in 2014. The economy of India at 2014 was almost strong and vibrant. Pockets of people were deep enough to invest in more education, Health, housing. The labour statistics also shifted from agriculture to infrastructure & mining. The internal migration from Rural India to Urban areas is also increased manifold during the decade. In 2001 census the total internal migration stands at around 31 crore, whereas in 2011 it is 43.36 crore. According to the recent Economic Survey of India-2016-17, the growth of migration for economic reasons is 4.5% annually (!)

The UPA government total spending on social welfare schemes stood 1.7% of the total GDP. The BJP led NDA government in the last fiscal (2016-17) increased the spending but the overall percentage remained almost at the previous figure. Worsening the situation further Narendra Modi Government squeezed the diversification of social welfare schemes.

Initially, the Narendra Modi’s development model seems to be correct when it was at planning level but latter, at implementation stage it developed many technical glitches. The major cause of these problems is the immaturity to the changing economic scenarios. For example, according to the Asian Development Bank estimation for 2014-15 the Extreme Poverty percentage of India stood at 21.9% , which means around 30 crore people are living under this category. But according to the World Poverty Clock real time data (on 9.45pm, 21/09/2017) the total poverty population in India stood at 14.1% of the total world population which is whooping 91 crore people are below extreme poverty line (per day income below 1.9 US Dollar). In such situation, Modi Government started a direct money transfer scheme under Ambitious Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) with free LPG connection to 5 crore families below poverty line. There are many instances where as a rural poor sold its LPG cylinder to another affluent person or many subscribing these benefits on their names. These instances are further increased after the fall of employment due to Demonetization. The poor families used this benefit as a source of income.

Similarly in the Smart City Mission the rate of Rural to Urban migration, the percentage of migration for economic reason not taken in to account. For example, according to an NGO working for slum areas in Odisha, within last three years the slum population of Bhubaneswar increased, 6-7 new unauthorised slums established having population more than 7 thousand. Government is striving between their resettlement and implementation of Smart City. In the September, 2017 monsoon session Odisha assembly passed the slum dwellers act which guarantees 160 square feet land for the construction of house. This act further made the vision of smart city messy.

After criticisms from many quarters for growing unemployment, weakening GDP, Growing fiscal deficits, fattening the NPA of Banks, GST impinged inflation on 20 September, 2017 an expert committing meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, where it was decided that Government soon to revive the investment plans to counter the ongoing economic crisis. The present economic crisis being felt at Macro level, the shifting of investment plans might create a ruckus in FDI investments. The investors will be more skeptical towards the government. This situation might create more ripples than pacifying the situation. His stress for the Universal basic income scheme indicates the decreasing funding of public welfare schemes and increase schemes for Job creation. This is quite difficult to manage. If Government is mulling for more shifting of tax slabs and structures the manufacturing market will be put under threat, which is already under pressure. Last though not the least concern, whether the new shift of investment can fulfill the aspirations and dreams of the young generation which were largely hyped by Narendra Modi during his 2014 election campaign.

The Hashtag: Block Narendra Modi

We usually sit for “khatti”, a local terminology for a free forum of people, typically with 10 to 15 members sits regularly at a definite public place generally near a tea shop for formal talks. I always a latecomer among the khatti members but today morning with everyone’s surprise I marked my attendance earlier than others. Last night I could not sleep well due to the anxiety mixed with grief and depression after going through series of threads reacting to the murder of noted Kannada journalist and Activist Gauri Lankesh, news items, googling about the information on the murder of some rationalists like Pansare, Dhabolkar and kalburgi.

Characteristically most writers, activists, journalists, politicians equivocally condemned the killings. As all the activists who were getting killed had been linked to the left-wing thoughts, liberals in attitude, seculars in their belief and rationalists in their approach, and all belonging to Karnataka state. Their activism was largely directed at casteism, communalism, religious bigotism and anti-establishment which invited the wrath of the communal and religious forces like Sreeramsena, Bajrang Dal and Sanatan Samstha. The information had not taken my sleep but the reactions of persons who are critical about the activisms of Gauri Lankesh. Their response to the murder disgraced all the norms of human dignity. Even they were not set back to abuse vehemently when Union Ministers like Ravishankar Prasad, Rajyabardhan Singh Rathore had come forward to criticize such reactions. Most of the abusers and trolls are followed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they also proudly mentioned it in their social media profiles. This was not the first case, earlier on several occasions Prime Minister had come under strong criticism from different quarters, but the trend has not succumbed to.

Meanwhile, I was scratching my head how to react such heinous trolls, around 11.45pm I just come through a tweet from a Dr Rakesh Parikh condemning such abusers and following them by PMO Modi, simultaneously it urged for blocking Narendra Modi’s personal twitter handle. Immediately I RTed it and blocked Narendra Modi’s account in protest. By then the hashtag had only two posts. But in the next morning while I was browsing the internet waiting for other members to join with a bolt from the blue I found the Hashtag #BlockNarendraModi was already lifted by major news sites.

However, scaling up the ignominy I also came across a news item where BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya who was also among the abusers had come forward with a statement that as Prime Minister is responsive to general public…he followed by many a people….how can he demand a character certificate from them before following back(!) (The words are not exact but reflected the similar meaning)

With all these developments and its impact, I had decided to have a discussion on it. When my friends sat to kick-start our Khatti program with a cup of warm tea. I vociferously put my point by quoting “as is the king so are the subjects” at least who adore him. Some senior members yet to give their comments, as I expected a series of questions were put to me by a political activist friend- Could it be possible to create “mass hysteria” through propaganda (?) If it is possible, then why not other political parties not thriving on it or at least able to create for them (?)

The answer to these questions might not be easy to present in a nutshell, but I tried to convince him that through a planned propaganda one can manipulate the weakness of the human mind as his perception is selective and also the retention. Since he is a strong adherent to Narendra Modi’s hyped image he took my argument for granted. However, I was not in a mood to step back and had come with all preparations, I continued;

A Political Party which got an absolute majority in 2014 general election with 31.34% popular votes out of total 65.3% voter turnout. It won 282 seats out of 545 members in Lower house, which is 51.9% all seats. 58 MPs out of 245 Members in Upper House, 1197 MLAs across the India and 18 states ruled directly or indirectly with its allies. Of course, without any doubt, all these achievements are remarkable for a political party which reestablished its existence 37 years back, after the disintegration of Janata Party. The Indian Voters gave their mandate to a political party for the first time in the last two decades with such huge support. This Implies two inseparable issues of a democracy, Firstly, Voters relied upon BJP ( Bharatiya Janata Party) as a political party more than others to solve the existing issues, Secondly, in turn, they accepted the ideologies Of BJP which had been remained at a bay. These two issues are not separated with a firm demarcated line but several overlapping contours.

It is evidently much accepted rule that Power comes with responsibility. In a democratic system, power goes from bottom to top. Initially, a political party makes the people responsive towards the prevailing problems and then places its alternate solutions through manifestos. In the next stage, it shows its willingness to take the responsibility to solve the problems and seeks the support of the people to handover the power to govern. All these activities are termed as political campaigns. These Political campaigns designed in such a way that it can successfully persuade voters to rely upon their agenda and manifesto. When the Love for Power permeates the true spirit of a democratic process, Political parties polarizes instead of persuasion; influence the voters through propaganda rather than awareness; manipulate the mandate through government machinery. All these perverted practices not so effective for a mature mind rather very successful for adolescents. When a country has more than 50% of its population is below the age of 25 years and more than 65% below the age of 35, the propaganda, influence, polarization works astoundingly.

In 2014 general election, around 23.1 million voters were from the age group of 18-19 years (!) In 2014 general election BJP got 171,660,230 votes. The statistics show that the BJP pocked most of the new voters. All welcomed BJP as an alternative to Congress as they are experienced only the government of Congress-led UPA. The psychology of adolescent mind according to Bradley Busch, Psychologist is – they are more likely to take risks, be sleepy, misread emotions, give in to peer pressure and lack of self-control. According to the United Nations, the average age of India’s population will be 29 years, and dependency ration should be just over 0.4%. With all these youth dominant demographics BJP set its development dream sail for 2020.

BRICS-2017’s ‘counter terrorism’ agenda: Modi Govt’s Hype Vs Reality

After a complex search to find out what is the exact terminology which can deliver exact position of Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India on Counterterrorism in the 9^th BRICS summit, I found an Interesting Idiom mostly appropriate-‘Try to steal someone’s Thunder’.

According to Oxford Dictionary of Idioms, the meaning is, ‘Try to win praise for oneself by pre-empting someone else’s attempt to impress’. As we go deep, the origin of the Idiom also proves equal dramatic; The critic and playwright John Dennis (1657-1734) invented a new method of simulating the sound of thunder in the theater, which he employed in his unsuccessful play 'Appius and Virginia'. Shortly after his play had finished its brief run, Dennis attended a performance of 'Macbeth' in which the improved thunder effect was used, and he is reported to have exclaimed in a fury: 'Damn them! They will not let my play run, but they steal my thunder.

However, as an Indian to prove one’s “True Nationalism Identity” one must accept that in BRICS summit Narendra Modi graciously own the battle against Islamist terrorism even though it is like ‘Error of the first kind” according to the null hypothesis in statistics.

According to the hypothesis, this is an error which leads one to conclude that a supposed effect or relationship exists when in fact it doesn't. For example, a test that shows a patient to have a disease when in fact the patient does not have the disease.

In the joint declaration of the 9^th BRICS summit, there are 3 specific components and 70 resolutions. Under the International Peace and Security component, there are 24 resolutions. In it all the BRICS countries equivocally rejected any type of violence, radicalization and called international community to work for international peace, security, and to promote and protect Human Right. The joint declaration gives foremost importance to the conflicts and crisis of Syria, Israel-Palestine and other Middle East; Iraq, Yemen and crisis in the Gulf countries; North Korea; African Countries like Congo, Libya, South Sudan, Somalia and Central Africa Republic, Western Sahara; and Afghanistan. All these countries directly related to Russia’s Interest.

In the context of Afghanistan, the declaration seriously concerned about the terrorist organizations like the Taliban, ISIL/DAISH, Al-Qaida and its affiliates including Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, the Haqqani network, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, TTP and Hizb ut-Tahrir. Further it is mentioned two important points to extend support – one is, the Moscow Format of consultations on Afghanistan and “Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process” and other is, multimodal connectivity projects to promote peace and stability.

If one analyze thoroughly, both the points nowhere related to the India. As the American president Donald Trump re-affirmed its military position on Afghanistan, Both Russia and China have remained skeptical to it. Secondly, For China it is not Pakistan but Afghanistan is more important when it comes to its much ambitious China-Pakistan Energy corridor and One Belt One Road (OBOR), as both the routes linked to Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Extending its ambition further China plans to expand the route beyond the Afghanistan and Pakistan Border. The threat of Islamist terrorist organizations is much perceived after recentattacks and warnings. (We can recall the Pakistan’s attempt to link the terrorist attack on china’s construction employees in Pakistan to Kulbhushan Jadhav.)

Even though China had unsuccessfully persuaded India to sign OBOR earlier, but it has not withdrawn itself to push the issue diplomatically. China knows without standing firm or sending stern warning against the terrorist organizations it cannot successfully complete its dream project either in Pakistan or in Afghanistan. In addition to this, China also knows well that Russia is the only country which can safe guard its interest in this reason.

Besides this, the BRICS economic agenda is more or less created diplomatically to subdue the influence of the World Bank especially in Asia, where the monopoly of the US and other European Countries is discernible.

Under the Narendra Modi’s three year rule India’s External Diplomacy has developed some of its serious flaws except increase the number of “awkward hugging”. He has failed to bring a clear consensus on its economic and diplomatic issues. Diplomatic relationship with its neighboring countries is at a mediocre level. On the other hand China extended its sway both economically and diplomatically over all the surrounding countries of India. In the last three years, from the south-east Asia region, there is no single country which has spoken a word in support of India in its hue and cry against Islamist Terrorism, From the Middle East except Israel no country stands behind ( at least for the time being) India on this issue. China never categorically supported India on it.

In the 9^th BRICS summit, India’s only perceptible benefit comes from the 40^th resolution which states that Russia and China will support the aspiration of Brazil, South Africa and India for a greater role in United Nations Security Council. But in the context of acting against Islamist terrorist groups, India can only console itself that two/three terrorist operatives which are posed danged to its internal security and hype it as its “great win” even knows well that it cannot yield a desirable result.

Modi’s India: Forging a ‘Blue Whale game’ Land?

Blue whale is an endangered species, a victim of human activities. It has no direct or indirect link to the recent ‘Sick Blue Whale Challenge App’ which victimised more than 100 teens across the world including six deaths in the month of August in India. However, the testimonials of the 17 years teen girl supposed to be the mastermind of the killer mobile game interpreted the linking of ‘Blue Whale’ to the game. It said, as the blue whale dies eventually when it comes to the edge of the shore at the end of the challenge the victim forced to kill itself by jumping from the edge of the top of a building or any high place.

The girl was arrested by Russian police on 30^th August, 2017. The shocking details of the Killer game revealed by the alleged ‘Mastermind’ exposed many of the weakness of the human mind and its manipulation. According to Colonel Irina Volk, the Russian Interior ministry;

a. The girl was heading multiple groups

b. During the search, police found a drawing she made of 22 year old Philipp Budeikin (who was arrested and now in Siberian Jail) the man accused of being the ‘inventor’ of the deadly game, whom she adored as her role model.

c. The girl said to have played the game herself but did not complete the final stage and choose to become an ‘Admin.’

d. The suspect hid her identity and Marital status to the victims she made.

e. In contrast to similar groups, teenagers in this group were blackmailed with death threats against them or their relatives for not completing the tasks.

f. The accused set 50 tasks for the victims aimed at “Psychologically Traumatising Situations” demanding the victims to commit suicide in the final stage.

g. The Brainwashing ranges from watching horror movies to waking in the middle of the night and also self-harming.

One of the striking feature of this Killer App as described in the suicide note of the first victim in India who was 2^nd year B Com graduate, “Blue whale is not a game but danger and once entered you can never exit.”

Rising worldwide concern about the deadly Mobile game has laid down some guidelines like;

1. Not to follow the Crowd and not feel pressured in to doing anything that makes them feel unsafe.

2. Try not to judge them (admin of the game) by respecting their choices, they should respect yours.

3. Spend time with friends who say ‘No’...spend time with other friends who also are not taking part.

You might catch an idea what is the ‘Sick Game’ which victimised so many people especially teenagers. Now come to our point, why and how this game is sharing similarity with the BJP led NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government at least with its ideology, style of work and vision. I won’t give unreasonable reasoning like the ‘Blue whale challenge’ gives series of tasks for 50 days having a striking similarity with Narendra Modi’s “50days’ promise to make everything right in India after Demonetisation(!) but some valid issues.

2010, the year saw some widespread rebellion and mass discontent against the government in different countries. Following years of the world economic slowdown impacted many government establishments. The economic growth hampered; many lost their jobs; corporate houses cut short their expenditure; Government also took several austerity measures and reduced their budget allocation on welfare schemes. These issues caused the large-scale unemployment, economic insecurity among the people. In such situation, the growing resentment of the people towards their respective government was conspicuous. During this period India also experienced similar mass resentment, especially among youths.

In 2004, when many developed countries reeled under the recession then government of India successfully tackled the situation and kept intact the economic growth. The people again relied upon the Manmohan Singh Government and mandated for the second time.

The issues which were being prevailed in most of the countries during 2009-10 remained more or less analogous to India however in a lesser degree. But in India, the corruption issue haunted more. Then congress led UPA government undoubtedly took many welfare and pro-people measures but the overabundance of corruption charges overshadowed all the good measures. People easily believed (likely to believe) the testimonials hyped by the opposition political parties that If these corruptions were not taking place, India’s development could have accelerated more.

Between 2009 and 2014 the severity of terrorist attacks increased. If one analysed the terrorist attacks between 2004 and 2009, can find the most of the attacks were targeted Muslim dominated or areas which are sensitive to communal issues {e.g. Jammu Railway station attack(4/1/2004), Ramjanmabhumi attack (5/7/2005), Varanasi Bombing (7/3/2006), Malegaon Bombings (2006-2008), Mecca Masjid Bombings (18/5/2007), Delhi Bombings (2008), Mumbai Terror attacks (26/11/2008)} But during 2009 to 2014 the attacks were sporadic in nature. Whatsoever the terrorist attacks was it exposed the government’s inability to counter it. Alexander Hamilton rightly said, “Safety from external danger is the most powerful director of national conduct. Even the ardent love of liberty will, after a time, give way to its dictates.”

The want of safety and overexposed of corruption had played a vital role to topple the UPA government in 2014 general election. Narendra Modi with his oratory skills and help of RSS (Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh) and its fringe organisation well-planned propaganda made people believe that the liberal and secular policies of the UPA government created plethora of problems including posed danger to the majority Hindus and eventually the Nation.

You might have not found any wrong with the BJP, RSS and its Fringe Organisation when they say about ‘Nationalism’, meekness towards ‘Hinduism’, preservation of old Indian tradition and Culture, Over Importance to defence, and abhorrence towards neighbouring countries especially for Pakistan. But before believing these hypes my suggestion is that put a big question, does these issues really followed by them who are propagating? Or the testimonials which are being cited for reasoning are factually true or fictitious emotional appeal? Are they put forth honest descriptions of these issues? These issues can really solve the problems of corruption, unemployment, economic growth, safety?

Now, before finding the answers to these questions I want to quote E O Wilson: “People Would rather believe than Know” descriptively it says, “Emotional Reactions easily drown out and overtake intellectual analysis and fact-based reasoning.”

During the Independence movement in India, many Hindu Organisations wanted to establish a ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Some of the leading organisations also made a secret arrangement with then British-India Government. After the Independence, they also lured some of the feudal states to transfer power to the Hindu organisations. They opposed the secular approach of the Indian constitution. Soon after the Partition and subsequent communal violence, these ‘Hindu Nationalist’ faction got good emotional support from the Hindu Migrates. Although the National Politics kept them at a distance to take hold of the power, the successive governments could not mollify the underneath sentiments towards ‘Hindu majoritarian’ ideologies. The meekness of the so-called secular and left-center political parties towards minority community has been vehemently rejected by the “Hindu Majoritarian” ideologues. They regarded it as “minority appeasement’.

As everyone, at this present juncture is well aware of all these issues, I’m restraining myself to give a descriptive analysis on it. However, It will be more rational to expose you towards the ‘Brainwashing Game’ designed by the BJP, RSS and its Fringe organisations to become a level-headed.

During the 2014 General Election BJP coined the magic words “Achhe din ane wale hain’ (Good days are coming), ‘Nayi soch, nayi ummeed’ (new thinking, new hope), ‘Congress mukht Bharat’(get rid the country of the Congress), ‘Abki baar Modi sarkar’ ( This time Modi Government) to woo voters. The election has many of its records starting from Narendra Modi’s expensive 3D holographic projection campaign to address rallies throughout the country simultaneously to record turnout of the voters. BJP’s winning as single largest party with 282 Parliament seats also a record itself.

Anybody can deny the fact that the well planned publicity campaign was one of the key factors behind the massive mandate to the Narendra Modi led BJP. Modi successfully persuaded young voters through carefully arranged propaganda. One of such propagandas by manipulating facts is rise of Muslim population. Even though BJP especially Narendra Modi had not commentated openly against the Muslims or support of Hindus but the events of his Political career evidently conveyed ‘Hindu Majoritarian’ intentions and ideologies. Before the general election, the Fringe organisations and Shadow armies of the RSS and BJP disseminated views that ‘Hindu Kahtere mein hai’ (Hindu are in danger). Many postings in different social media overwhelmed with the distorted facts that in India Hindu population has been decreasing and Muslim population increasing rapidly. Soon Modi took over this issue in his election campaigns (especially during the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2016) {fortunately, later Supreme Court in August, 2017 in its historic Judgment nullified the instant Talaq and suggested the parliament to amend the law in this regard} .The Propaganda relating to Increasing Muslim Population has not stopped there, the Station strategist (the outsourced social media experts employed by BJP IT cell for Propaganda) started trolling, putting arguments that the ‘love jihad’ ( where a Muslim youth woos a Hindu or non-Muslim girls to marry with a hidden agenda of conversion). Ironically many educated Hindu Youths became brainwashed by these rhetoric testimonials and taking up arms to counter it. In this context ‘Anti-Romeo squad’ is one of the notorious examples. Similar the case with ‘Cow protection’ and related mob-lynching.

‘Propaganda’ is not an uncommon word. Many know it and interpreted it by their own understandings. The term Propaganda has its origins in the 17^th century efforts of the Catholic Church to propagate its views and stem the rise of Protestantism. It has gone through various permutations since. By the time Hitler was dead and the cold war underway, the word had lost its Godly associations and became a pejorative, connoting mostly the self-serving lies of nefarious tyrannical regimes.

Several Mobile apps designed by the Government of India to sensitize the people about the Government Policies is unquestionably at parlance with “new India” concept, but similar other private apps and social media platforms which disseminating the fictitious and libeled endorsements to brainwash youths is alarming.

Propaganda traffics mostly in emotions and not just negative ones’. Propagandists appeal to our fears but also to our courage, our hatred and our love. Noam Shapancer, professor of Psychology at Otterbein college who elaborately researched on How ‘Propaganda’ appeals to human mind said, Propagandists use Name Calling, Glittering generalities, Transfer, testimonials, Plain folks, Card stacking and bandwagon.

He also said, “A mind that is not trained to detect and neutralize propaganda is gullible mind, hype for the swindle.” With Similar tactic, but much severity ‘Blue whale challenge game’ victimizing the gullible minds.

Here, some may put an argument that the propaganda for ‘a good cause’ is acceptable, for them, I say, “Good ends does not make it less problematic.” And offer a suggestion, “the antidote to the process of propaganda is finding the factual truth and following the guidelines prescribed to counter ‘Blue whale challenge’.

Whether human beings are capable enough to reshape the Nature according to their will or Nature restructures the life, the debate going on for the Charles Darwin’s “Natural selection.” It postulates that only nature has the capacity to determine the process of Biological Evolution. The most intelligent Human beings are incapable to impede the process. But the recent development of “gene technology’ takes the Theory granted. We now claim that in near future we can modify not only human life but also other animated things according to the changing environment.

Prior to the Darwin, Thomas Robert Malthus in his book “Essay on the Principle of the population (1789)’ opined in each uniform interval of time with the increase of the arithmetic food growth the population is capable of increasing geometric progression. The simultaneous increase of arithmetic food growth and geometric population growth predicted a future when humans have no resource to survive on. When such situation arises, the population will be checked by war, famine, or disease. It then drops below the food supply. As the population recovers, so the cycle continues.

He projected that the in 200 years earth’s population is capable enough to grow to 260 billion. By the time the subsistence was only capable to increase to feed 9 billion people. His calculation and projection seem to be true until WW2 (total world population was 2.3 billion), but since then the population and production of food growing dramatically. According to the recent data (USDA foreign agriculture service), total food grains supply (2017/18- projection) is 3181.18 million metric ton and use is 2,648.15 million metric ton for the population of 7.5 billion (April, 2017). It means we are producing food sufficient for the 12 billion people. According to the statistics, it seems that we are not in a shortage of food supply to the demand, but in contrary the according to the state of food insecurity of the world (2015) 10.9% of the total world population is living undernourished (living lack of sufficient quality food).In addition to this the considerable amount of the unnecessary wastage of food.

Now come to the India, according to the data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture (February, 2017) the total food production of the country is 271.98 million ton and sufficient for its 1.25 billion people. But in converse India also ranks 97 among 118 countries in the world hunger list with 194 million people. In addition to this we are wasting 70 million of foods every year.

Both the world and National figures shows the anomalies of unequal distribution of foods, and unnecessary food shortage.

I have presented the figures only to understand the situation of the climate change and related poverty, mass migration, death due to famine and subsequent psychological change of the human population. My point of discussion is not on these things particularly but to reveal the relation of the behavioural changes to the climate.

It is evident from the human history that the human activities are directly linked to the environmental and geographical phenomenon. For example, human civilization flourished better in a favourable environment like fertile river plains, unlike harsh climates. It is also proved that the cognitive process like spatial reasoning, decision making, and behaviour conditioned by the geographical situation. We can conclude that the human world is the ever-changing result of individual and group human actions, working within natural and institutional framework. Sometimes physical landscape modified by the human activities which is more or less regulated by the social, cultural and political (governmental) institution. These modifications later influence the environment and persuade the human behaviour.

According to the Vedic philosophy; the basic elements of nature like Water, Earth, Fire, Air and Ether although remains more or less same in every human being. But the ratio of the ‘Driving Forces of nature’, like Satva, Rajas and Tamas inured the human personality/reasoning/decision making. It manipulates its environment according to its disposition. The excess activities of Rajas and Tamas endanger the environment and subsequently its own existence.

From the above, we can deduce that whatever may be the technological progress we made it cannot make us capable enough to reshape the natural phenomena, altogether. It may be presumed that at this present juncture Human psychology is a bondslave of the climate, which influences our behaviour.

Now with the growing problems like higher rates of migration, rise of sea level, increasing unviable spaces for human habitation, spreading of new parasitic deceases etc compels us to link it with the climate change. Day by day scientists are finding more and more links with changing Climate and behavioural pattern of the humans. Some of the observations/Research can be summarised as follows;

1. Warmer temperature will lead to more violence and conflict.

In 2013, Solomon M. Hsiang,Marshall Burke, Edward Miguel in their research paper ‘Quantifying the Influence of Climate on Human Conflict’ pointed out that “median estimates indicate that the frequency of interpersonal violence rises 4% and the frequency of intergroup conflict rises 14%. Because locations throughout the inhabited world are expected to warm 2 to 4σ by 2050, amplified rates of human conflict could represent a large and critical impact of anthropogenic climate change.”

“There was a time when India listened to me ...today I’m a back number” this was the reaction of Mahatma Gandhi to Lord Mountbatten when latter appealed Gandhiji to do some miracle in Delhi like he had during communal violence in East Bengal and Kohat in the North-western Frontier Province.

This was during September-October, 1947, at that time Delhi flooded with desperate, tormented refugees from Pakistan, who cared nothing but their life and future and an opportunity to unleash vengeance for their sufferings in Pakistan. The entire Government of India has remained in a perplexity between the “rehabilitation of the world’s largest refugees, unprecedented settlement issues of the partition and the Kashmir problem”

Gandhiji was well-known about the changing psychological condition of the people of India. He told to his secretary Pyarelal as quoted by Manohar Malgonkar in his “The man who killed Gandhi”, “we are biding fair to say goodbye to non-violence.”

Though he was much concerned about the communal harmony than the Political and administrative issues, which was also justified, as it was the responsibility of the government. He pressurized Nehru and Patel to take all necessary steps so that the communal harmony between two communities prevailed. Gandhiji exhorted them, “If Delhi goes, India goes, and with that goes the last hope of World Peace.”

The problem with Mahtama Gandhi has he tackled the situation as a saint, a pious heart which throbbed for Peace, Non-violence, and Brotherhood, not as a Politician. Gandhiji tried his best to pacify the situation through his ultimate weapon “fast unto death”. Before, with this, he had successfully forced the most obstinate situation to genuflect. But this time the situation was different, people had little care about him, moreover, they (refugees) shouted: “let Gandhi die, Give us shelter.” The latter part of the whole state of affairs is well known to everyone. The Messiah of peace and non-violent assassinated by his own man, whom really believed as “Amrutasya Putrah” (children of nectar).

The situation of hatredness at present circumstance is similar but not identical when we are celebrating the 70 years of our Independence and 75 years of Quit India movement. Many instances are there which fuelled the communal tension, but the sagacity of Gandhiji’s concept, idealism prevented the nation from break apart. Although many Political parties effectively encashed the communal, religious revulsion, once they got elected through democratic process to form a government they at least pretended to be the followers of the secularism and Gandhian Ideals. However, at present-day government lead by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is quite different from the previous government. This is quite evident when Hamid Ansari (a two-term vice president of India) in his farewell remark pointed out the growing “intolerance” “feeling of insecurity” among the masses, the entire BJP and its allies reacted violently to him. They termed Mr. Ansari’s statement as anti-national and linked him to a mafia don-turned politician (Mukhtar Ansari).

I’m not going through all the instances like when Narendra Modi as Gujarat Chief Minister did not show an iota of remorse to the 2002 Gujarat violence where more than 2000 persons from a particular minority community massacred by the majority community. He had said in an interview, “Another thing, any person if we are driving a car, we are a driver, and someone else is driving a car and we're sitting behind, even then if a puppy comes under the wheel, will be painful or not? Similarly, in Uttar Pradesh, the Hindu Yuva Vahini Armies of Yogi Adityanath, a Mahanta turned Chief minister sloganed “Gorakhpur mein rahena ho to Yogi yogi kahena hoga”( If you want to remain in Gorakhpur you must chant Yogi Yogi) . In another instance, BJP chief minister from Haryana, Manoharlal Khatar reacted “If you want freedom, why don't they just roam around naked?” when BJP state president’s son accused of “attempt abduction” of an IAS officer’s daughter.

BJP came to power at the center with absolute majority (282 seats in Loksabh)after two decades, within three years it formed it’s government almost in 18 states, became majority party in upper house with 58 representatives( August, 2017), it also effortlessly elected its candidates as president of India, Vice president of India, Speaker of Lower house. Besides this, appointed the officers who are having analogous to its ideology at the key positions like Niti Ayog, RBI governor, National Security Adviser (NSA), Economic Advisor.

BJP came to power with alluring promises like rejuvenating Nationalism, corruption free governance, Ideal based Politics. Out of total votes 31% popular votes (171,660,230) polled in support of the BJP. According to an independent estimation, among the popular votes polled for BJP most are the youngsters. It is a matter of rejoice that when India gradually losing its faith on the democratic electoral system the BJP reaffirmed it. But the irony is that soon the Party which comes to power through a democratic system based on the glorious traditions of universal brotherhood, acceptance, compassion, non-violence thoroughly planned to break it. By all the tricks and tactics it gradually pushes its Hindu Nationalist agenda.

A moth’s back an email (pic-1) from an editor of a news agency reached me; in it he paid a high praise for Narendra Modi. The narration goes on how Mr. Modi wants how to change the constitution, the election system etc. What he has related to the Mr. Modi may be his personal view but there are similar views flooded in all the social media platforms. I investigated and found that all is a part of BJP’s Propaganda strategy.

How they used a well-planned propaganda to tackle every situation is evident from the following incident,

Yogi Adityanath, before becoming the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh was very much popular for his Hardcore Hindutva agenda and guts. The yardstick to measure the “guts” of Yogi Adityanath is from two angles one is people perception of his caste to which he belongs, secondly, his series of alleged actions towards particular community /caste.

In January 2007, Uttar Pradesh Government run by Samajwadi Party had taken a few preventive steps to check Yogi Adityanath’s alleged plan to instigate communal violence, then who was a BJP MP from Gorakhpur constituency. The state government had withdrawn Yogi’s security cover ad put him behind bars for 11 days. After releasing in bail, when he attended the Loksabha, in zero hour, while narrating he state government action against him, he broke into tears, he appealed speaker for his protection.

As narrated by Dhirendra K. Jha in his “shadow Armies”- “The Sight of Adityanath shedding tears shocked Thakur Supporters. It was seen as a sign o weakness, unbecoming of a male belonging to a martial caste. Soon, However, his subordinates, Hindu Yuva Vahini, and BJP started re building his image, arguing that he was a sensitive man, full of emotions even as many locals called him a coward capable only of spreading mob violence.”

Individual Freedom under attack from a delusional government and subjective Justice

After hour-long analysis I found the above quote positively appropriate to the Supreme Court of India’s (SC) recent observation on Freedom and Liberty during the hearing arguments to determine whether right to privacy is fundamental right under the constitution sought to know if the right to privacy will also extend to one’s choice of family and sexual orientation.(http://indianexpress.com/article/india/right-to-privacy-aadhaar-act-supreme-court-justice-khehar-not-absolute-4758342/)

While hearing the arguments on the first day, one of the learned judges asked the petitioner, “If privacy is right to make choice, choice in what area — family, sexual orientation, gender identity, surveillance. what all?”

In another question, the same judge asked if it can be said that “privacy rights are not only vertical (not only against state action) but also horizontal (against society) and imposes an obligation on the state to make laws to protect one’s existence in society?”

There are maybe more arguments on several other questions and answers, but these two questions of the bench wondered me more.

In my opinion, both the questions are somehow more subjective than objective. Why?

At first, I’m going to through some lights on justice. The prime objective of the justice is to protect the virtue and Truth. It affects four – criminals/defendants, plaintiffs/witnesses, the assessors of the court and the Constitution/Government. If unjustly decided it brings evil to these four. Similarly, a judicial proceeding brings four results Justice, Gains, renown, and esteem.

In the context of the above observations, it can be inferred as that the questions put forth is more subjective for a court which upholds world’s largest written constitution and the thousand year’s virtuous judicial tradition which upholds human values and Truth.

As the right to privacy is not specifically mentioned in our constitution but it is derivative from the fundamental rights and also regulated by the fundamental duties. Where it is concluded that right to privacy is not absolute when the matter comes to National security and welfare of the society at a large.

It is an irony of the fate of Indians that after 70 years of hard-earned freedom we are at the starting point to decide our Freedom and Liberty. Again it is a great mockery of human existence, a democratically elected government standing opposite to it and acting as the dictatorial authority of human liberty.

While finding a solution to this, let’s remind the words of Swami Vivekananda-"Liberty in thought and action is the only condition of life, growth, and well-being: Where it does not exist, the man, the race, and the nation must go down." It is the reasonable freedom which awakens a human being on the difference between good and evil. It inspires human being to respect others freedom. Eventually, it creates a conducive environment where a human being gets an opportunity to be a constructive part of human society.

Conversely, humans are living for a reason and for a reason. If a system infringes its right to choose one’s own destiny then it is also an infringement of the law of nature.

The Past is evident whenever any system contravened the freedom and wanted to reshape the destiny of a human society on prejudices and delusion, the doomsday is apparent.

Herbert Hoover’s observation on it clearly signifies, “Freedom is the open window through which pours the sunlight of the human spirit and human dignity.”

Critical analysis of Narendra Modi’s UP Win: Survival of the Fittest

After the spectacular Winning Streak of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi Twitted by congratulating the voters and incessant workers. Reacting to the twit I have written “Fate prevails everywhere, neither Force of work nor the high education, but congrats for your win.”

My observation must draw severe criticism and might be doing injustice to the noble workers who worked for the Narendra Modi without any want of favour, but I’m right in my view in one point, as it is purely to understand the conducive environment on which Narendra Modi or BJP has least role.

BJP won 312 seats excluding its ally like Apana Dal out of 403 assembly seats. Similarly in Uttarkhand it won with thumping majority of 57 seats out of 70 seats. This winning is unprecedented and even unexpected (!) for BJP itself. All the exit poll predictions went wrong, All psephologist miscalculated the caste and religion oriented vote base. Although, it is not a big deal for BJP to win in Uttar Pradesh as it has satisfactory presence since last 40 years since the party’s inception. It also seized power three times (for 6 years) Kalyan Singh became CM two times (June 1991- Dec 1992 & September 1997 to November 1999) and Rajnath Singh for one time (October 2000 to March 2002). In the 2014 General Election BJP won 71 MP seats out of 80. But the Point of Discussion is, the Collapse of caste and religion based electoral and Whopping majority to a religious agenda based party in Uttar Pradesh (Amazingly Even after opposition from Rajnath Singh, Sahanwaj Hussain etc Modi and Amit Saha did not give a single ticket to a Muslim Candidate). How and Why BJP got such big mandate? We will analysis thoroughly the possible answers but before that it is relevant to throw some light on the Saffron surge in India.

Until now BJP has its chief minister in 11 states- Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and with allies it enjoying power in another Four states- Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim and Nagaland out of 29 states.

In 2014 general election BJP led NDA got absolute majority 282 seats excluding its allies (total 336). It got 171,660,230 popular votes which is 31.34% of the total votes polled. If we take the popular votes and percentage with 1999 general election which is another biggest achievement of the BJP, (as this is the first time in India where a non congress government lasts full five year term) in 1999 BJP led NDA won 254 seats out of BJP won 182 seats but the popular votes were 135,103,344 which is 37.06% of the total votes polled. If we compare between 1998 general election and 2014 in a nutshell, the impressive presence of the left parties and political inclination towards regional parties were clearly visible. It was the golden era of regional parties.

But now things has been changed, left parties lost their grip over Indian voters except Kerala and shrinking of vote base of regional parties. 2014 is a political transition period.

The period between 2009 and 2014 is the last phase of the electoral system, which has been continued since 1952. The voters are from new generations, less influenced by the independence struggle but more to create their own new identity. Since 2004, many Socio-psychological factors reshaped the Political Scenario. Growing literacy and lack of employment opportunities in both Government and Private sector people created their own opportunities. For this they wanted a less hassle free system which free from corruption and more space for economic independence which previous government failed to answer. The Demonetisation has given the best answer to it at least theoretically. More poor and middle class People perceived that this will rearrange the past economic system where they had been deprived from the opportunities. This is a blessing of disguise for Narendra Modi Government. Nationalism and abhorrence to alien inhabitants are other aspects of this ‘Economic Independency’.

Some Noted Journalists like Rajdeep Sardesai and Pallavi Ghosh pointed out the BJP’s Campaign through the Ujala Scheme much before the election. Some Pointed out the BJP’s Support to abolish Tripple Talaq and subsequently Muslim women support to it. Just Before the UP election RSS again tossed its anti reservation agenda, but it couldn’t hold the ground where 60% population are under this reservation benefit. BSP’s Supremo Mayawati wanted to take this issue forward but unlike Bihar election miraculously it died before gaining Political momentum.

Lets a close look of the caste wise division of voters in UP, 22% are from forward castes, 40% from OBC (including 18% Muslim) and 21.3% Dalits (SC/STs). Even after this, Most of the BJP candidates won with more than 15 thousand votes than their nearest candidate.

Besides this, there was image tarnishing issues against BJP as anti liberty, anti secular, hardcore Hindutwa agenda, Hooliganism in Educational institutes particularly in and around the Uttar Pradesh. But BJP saved from the onslaught putting forth the Nationalist agenda. Even Narendra Modi and his team until now except publicity have not done anything to solve the real nationalism issues.

The linking of terrorism to a particular religion is always the voice of BJP’s frontal organisation. The Lucknow Thakurganj encounter, Accquital of Swami Assemananda in Ajmer Dargha Blast case, Madhya Pradesh Train accident, etc might be created havoc for BJP, but it has little impact on the BJP’s Image.

The Political environment in the neighbouring states Except Bihar and Delhi all are under BJPs rule. This created a positive vibes among the voters. Bihar, where BJP lost assembly election might influence some on the northern parts but couldn’t happen. RLD’s Lalu Yadav campaigned against BJP, but Nitish Kumar remained silent or more less supported the BJP through his endorsement for Demonetisation.

In the 2014 general election BJP got 42.3% vote share, while SP 22.2%, BSP 20% and Congress with 7.5 percent vote share. It was believed that there was no anti-incumbency against SP’s Akhilesh Yadav. But the family feud cost him dear more than garnish his image. SP Believed that for the winning in assembly election one has to get 31% vote, if it joined hand with Congress both will get almost same vote share. It is the point where most of us including I failed to understand. BJP’s Vote share remained intact.

The Gathbandhan strategy was not properly calculated and even overly estimated. In the 11^th March Akhilesh Yadav around 10 am said he has no hesitation to go for alliance with BSP to defeat BJP. But this should be planned before. If we count the vote share this will be clearly understood. In 2017 assembly election BJP and its allies begged 34,403,039 popular votes which is 39.7% vote share. Similarly SP+Congress’s popular vote is 18,923,689 (21.8%) and BSP’s 19,281,352 (22.2%)

Infrastructural development like express Highway not able to allure voters who were reeling under the 20 years misrule of BSP and SP, no improvement in the internal infrastructure like roads, school, Hospitals etc.

Under current against SP and in favour of BJP is never be materialised without the active support of Government Officers especially in law order situation and election management. They supported BJP alike the active Karyakartas of BJP and RSS.

The alleged EVM fraud is only a small part which contributed for the BJP’s Victory the other things which helped is the skilful management of the situation. It was clearly visible soon after the 4 phase election all the major national media supported the BJP and campaigned for it.

A Political equation in Uttar Pradesh never changed “Even for BJP”

Who is going to win India’s most decisive Political Battle which is undergoing in Uttar Pradesh for 403 Assembly seats? At present context, a tricky question to answer due to two things, primarily for the restrictions of Election Commission and secondly, the paid publicity and Campaigns surrounded the facts. Contrary to the Restrictions, personal opinions in Social Media and panel discussions flooded with calculations and predictions. Since taking into account everyone is correct in their calculations and predictions I here giving some facts and figures which can throw some light on the political traditions and election equations of the winners and losers.

Congress lost its political image and influence on Uttar Pradesh during the emergency. Although it regained its position in the assembly and general election held soon after the death of Indira Gandhi yet could not last long. 1985 assembly election was the last election where Congress got an absolute majority with 269 seats especially due to the sympathy for the assassination of Indira Gandhi. In 1989 General and assembly election parliament seats reduced to 15 and assembly seats to 94. However Congress managed to save its political reflection through a meticulously planned alliance with ace regional forces.

Almost for the last 40 years, except 1977 and 1985 election the politics has been based on caste & religion. Since the disintegration of the Janata Dal the fight is between Regional parties and BJP. In the Uttar Pradesh election BJP always played religious card whereas Regional parties like BSP, SP and RLD has their own agenda on caste. In 1991 BJP with a whopping majority (221 seats) won the election solely on Ram Mandir and Hindu revival Issue. But it could not last long. SP and BSP emerged as ace forces for the CM race. 1993 assembly election had seen a curious situation, where two opposition political parties united only to counter BJP’s Religious agenda. In the latter years, BJP tried to grab the power through alliance but soon realized that it is a sour relation and could not grant desirable result.

In 2002, SP won 143 assembly seats while BSP 98 and BJP 88 seats. Congress and RLD were satisfied with 25 and 14 each. In 2007 assembly election BSP won 206 seats, SP 97, BJP 51, Cong 22 and RLD 10. In 2012 assembly election SP won 224 seats, BSP 80, BJP 47, Congress 28, RLD 9.

If we took into the account of the comparison between General elections and Assembly elections than it is clear that General election has less effect on Assembly Election and vice versa. For example in 2009 general election 2004 SP won 35 out of 80 seats, BSP 19, BJP 10 and Congress 9, but in 2007 election BSP emerged as a winner. Similarly, in 2009 SP got 23 out of 80, Cong 21, BSP 20 and BJP 10. Despite 21 seats congress managed to save 28 assembly seats.

If we taking into account of the past equations and Political Traditions, the 2017 assembly election will show a similar picture. BJP already estimated it and the desperation for Narendra Modi and his team clearly corroborating the evidence.

There are Five major things which can be summarized for “Why BJP’s ambition to regain UP cannot be fulfilled”

1. BJP could not able to polarize Hindu Vote unlike earlier elections
2. South UP where the Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency falls is surrounded by BSP and Congress vote banks. It is quite difficult to pull the voters from Congress Vote banks, the only option is BSP but BSP already polarized the votes against RSS and BJP’s anti-reservation policy.
3. BJP cornered Muslim in the distribution of seats but more reliant on his ‘divide and rule’ trick for the Muslim votes. But it could not break through its own plan.
4. There is no Chief Ministerial Candidate and the entire election affairs have been handled by the Modi-Saha team, which gives limited access to the publicity to owe voters unlike “UP ke ladke”(UP’s own children slogan by SP-Congress alliance). Narendra Modi tried to save his plan by promoting “Adopted son” but failed utterly. Besides this, the entire election campaign based on the “Modi’s Charisma” which is not as before.
5. BJP speculated that it will get benefit from the Mulayam Family feud and anti-incumbency factors but in contrary family feud more or less cleaned the dark marks on the Akhilesh, like link to anti-social elements and anti-incumbency. Surprisingly, BSP also not targeting the SP rather speared against BJP.

Satyamev Jayate, (Truth Alone Triumphs) is national motto of Republic India. Yato Dharmas Tato Jaya (Victory is there, where truth is). The motto of Delhi University is Nistha Dhruti Satyam (Reverent, Dedication grasps truth), a motto of Banaras Hindu University is Vidyaya amrritam ashnute (be immortal through knowledge) Similarly many revered institutions including Republic India vowed to follow these core values. All are established in the last 60 years rule, which today we alleged as anti-Hindu, anti-nationals and Secular. Leave the practice of these golden values, it is for sure most of the people who are associated to these institutions could not remember these golden words or unheard of.

The recent happenings around and inside the nation’s some of the most reputed educational institutions like Jawaharlal University, Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Ramjas college, Khalsa College speaks something heart pinched truth unlike the earlier student movements in India.

For a person, life in colleges and universities are most precious as he/she gets preparation for a transition to professional life. When a passed out student from a college or university stepped outside everyone looks forward to his/her constructive contribution to the society and nation as a whole. And it is also true that everyone contributes more or less, directly or indirectly to the nation building. It does not negate that a student has no role or responsibility for his or her society and nation. We spend on our children’s education in a belief that he or she will be a complete man/woman to undertake his accountability conscientiously and effectively. What are our aspirations for the education and what we are getting is a matter of different discussion. But in the present context, guardians and parents including the stakeholders of the government machinery, administrative systems of these institutions are sure to blame, especially the government and the administration of these educational institutions.

The fight between the students or group of students over some silly matters is common, and the enmity can be faded out along with the time. But when politics with some vested interests infused to the college campus or the thought process of the students it turns violent. History of Student movement in India against the establishment is around 150 years when Dadabhai Naroji in 1848 founded “the student’s scientific and historical society”. The intention behind the organisation was to make understand the values of great tradition and glorious past of India and to rejuvenate the brains to become self-reliant. Much before this, during 326 BC Great Teacher Chanakya mobilised his students against the tyrant Nanda Kingdom. The Student unrest during the pre-independence era is quite different from the post-independence. Thanks to the time, from 1947 to 1970, students of India relatively remained unaffected to the political interests.

But in the late 60s the Naxalite movement started channelizing the students' mind towards the anti-establishment movement which later turned violent. It is a gift of the legendary leader Jayaprakash Narayan, who successfully broke the violent course and engaged the strength of students in his “complete Swaraj” with a political motive. Since then, the students in the nation’s political activities remain conspicuous.

Political parties shoot their guns on the students’ shoulders to fulfill their vested interests as the students can be available to be utilized easily and inexpensively.

When BJP came to power in the center and almost formed government in 10 states the mobilising of students to suppress others voice started aggressively. The Suicide of Rohith Vemula in Hyderabad University to JNU and now attack the same group of students of Delhi University to rape threat to Lady Sri Ram college student Gurmehar Kaur, and the alleged connection of BJP’s Student wing ABVP gives ample example of how the seeds of hatred implanted in the minds of Students.

Interestingly, in my college days ABVP affiliation mocked to those who remain frustrated for not having a girlfriend. Later they are identified as anti lover brigades, roaming in the parks, cinema halls, pubs during valentine day and beating the lovers. Suddenly their concern towards Nationalism raises my eyebrows. Many questions arise including, are they truly “Modified” to do so?

Ataljee and Modiji: The leader Then and Now

While browsing the videos in YouTube, I’m Lucky enough find out these two videos. I have seen these videos 20 to30 times, every time when I saw these videos I have justified my adoration to one of the great leaders in the 20^th Century, Sree Atal Bihari Vajpayee, to whom we lovingly called Ataljee. The Name and Meaning really a god gifted one. As a leader and Prime Minister of India i ever have seen that he violated or lost his track from ‘Raj Dharma’ (the Rules for True Ruler). He might have vehemently criticized for the Kandahar plane hijack, Parliament attack and Lahore Bus service, Shino-India relationship But his contribution to the Reformation of Indian Politics is Highly respected besides the development and welfare measures like Swarn Chatrubhuja (chain of National High ways, Pokhran Nuclear Test, Kargil War, Pro Middle class economic reforms.

His Lesions to Advanijee (Lal Krushna Advani) only to lead the Party in Election Campaign, not the Party, Advice of Raj Dharma to 2002 Gujrat Riot alleged conspirator and then CM Narendra Damodarbhai Modi. His differences with Advani ultimately lead betrayal from his own party men, RSS and Viswa Hindu Parishad. The rise of Narendra Modi in the party is a part of this conspiracy.

He is really incomparable to any of the leaders in the present era in terms of Political Ideals. He always upholds Humanity, Ideals, national interest than party, Organisation and Self.
