Rodney King, dead at 47 years old

2012-06-17T11:59:00.004-07:00

According to ABC/Yahoo News : Rodney King, who is known world wide from the videotaped beating by Los Angeles Police in 1991 that sparked the L.A. riots, was found dead at his Rialto, California home on Sunday.

According to police, King was found by his fiance, Cynthia Kelley, at the bottom of the swimming pool, in their home in California. A call was made to police at 5:25am this morning . When police arrived, CPR was done but King was unresponsive. His Fiance stated that King was drinking and smoking marijuana all night.

I pray that the paramedics came before the police. I hope this story was reported wrong and the paramedics tried to revive him and not the police. If it was the police... you already knew how this was going to end..... I'm just saying......

Rodney will be truly missed and your message "CAN WE ALL JUST GET ALONG" will live on forever.

Sending prayers to your family and friends. God Bless you!

Actress/Comedian Yvette Wilson dies at age 48.

2012-06-14T22:44:00.007-07:00

Yvette Wilson a.k.a. "Andell" from Moesha and

The Parkers has passed on tonight from cervical cancer.

I'm so sad to hear and announce the passing of one my favorite TV -Actress/Comedian, Yvette Wilson, 48, a.k.a "Andell" from the hit shows The Parkers & Moesha and movies- Friday & House Party 2 & 3. Her battle with stage 4 cervical cancer has ended.

A friend, Jeffrey Pittle, who was also a cancer survivor, created a website for Yvette Wilson @ http://www.giveforward.com/supportyvettewilson to help raise $25,000 to get her cancer treatment, but was only able to raise $13,599. This money was also needed for medical supplies and transportation to and from medical facilities. Ms. Wilson was not only battling cervical cancer but was in need of a kidney transplant as well.

Yvette, May the Angels guide you to heaven because you are cancer free now! My heart and prayers goes out to her family, friends and fans. She will truly be missed! xoxo

Please ladies and gents, continue to get your routine check-ups. It is better to prevent than to find a cure.

God Bless!

NAACP needs your help with fighting for justice for Trayvon Martin!!

2012-03-25T21:17:00.002-07:00

A letter from NAACP:

All of last week, I was in Sanford, Florida, pursuing justice for Trayvon
Martin. I listened to community concerns about the Sanford Police Department,
and stood with Trayvon's parents and 30,000 others in Sanford, a town with only
50,000 residents.Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton have been pillars of
courage. Like Mamie Till after the brutal murder of her son Emmett, Tracy and
Sybrina have stood and shown the world what hate and violence have done to their
child, and the nation and the world have responded. Their leadership has
resulted in a global movement for justice for Trayvon and, most recently, in the
appointment of a special prosecutor to review their son's case. The
Seminole County branch of the NAACP has played a critical role in igniting this
movement for justice in Sanford. For more than 24 years, Seminole County NAACP
President Turner Clayton has served as a community leader, holding the city of
Sanford accountable and responsive to community concerns. On Thursday – in light
of pressure from Mr. Clayton and the branch to step aside – Sanford Police Chief
Bill Lee temporarily resigned from his post. The actions of you and
millions of others like you have already helped get the wheels of justice in
motion. We know Trayvon and his family have been in your thoughts and
prayers. Now stand up publicly and send those thoughts to Florida
State Attorney Angela Corey, who will be overseeing the grand jury
case:

http://action.naacp.org/page/m/474a342c/799991a0/7c86d433/2f6170dd/1146467902/VEsF/
It is clear that the Sanford police have
badly mishandled the investigation into Trayvon's death. The routine mishandling
of similar cases by police, prosecutors and judges has eroded the Sanford
community's trust and fueled the perception that justice for our young men and
boys is of little consequence to law officials. Now, our most important
task is to make sure that the state's attorney assigned to this case will handle
it with passion and an eye for justice.Join our open call for justice
for Trayvon and our children:http://action.naacp.org/page/m/474a342c/799991a0/7c86d433/2f6170dd/1146467902/VEsC/The
strength of this community gives me hope that justice will indeed be achieved in
Sanford. In the face of tragedy, the community has banded together and continues
to raise its collective voice for justice.Trayvon's family, the Sanford
community and the world lost a precious gift in Trayvon. Unfortunately, he is
not the only young person we've lost to senseless violence. Across the country,
our precious sons and daughters are being sacrificed all too frequently, with
justice arriving far too infrequently, if ever.We won't let it continue
to happen. We will keep speaking out, and we will keep raising our voices for
Trayvon and for all of our precious children.

Let your voices be heard! Thank you for your support!!

I'm Baccccckkkk!

2012-03-25T11:48:00.002-07:00

Yesss, I know it's been a long time! Being in nursing school full time, 5 days a week, has me extremely tired with no time to do anything else. When I'm not in school, I'm home studying or sleeping. My social life has decrease drastically, leaving me with no energy to reach out to family and friends on the weekends. I am now prioritizing my time, so that I can have some "me" time, and still be on top of my school work. I have been to a couple of industry events , when I had some time to spare, but not many. I have set aside an hour on Saturday afternoons to do my blogging. Hopefully this works!

Thank you all for being patient!! Stay tuned for more updates....

Have a Blessed Sunday!!

Obama speaks up for Trayvon Martin!!

2012-03-25T11:28:00.002-07:00

President Obama spoke up for Trayvon, "If I had a son!"

The Miami Heat shows luv for Trayvon!

I am loving that everyone is standing up for this movement for Trayvon Martin in most states, including President Obama.

We need to all show unity, because this is not a Black or White issue, This is a

Right and Wrong Issue!! A human life was lost for no reason at all! This innocent, unarmed kid, could of been your brother, son, cousin, nephew, student, neighbor or a friend. Take a stand for what's right!!

To the murderer of Trayvon Martin:

Whether you stay free or in jail, you are at risk. You will not be mentally free nor will you be safe in these streets. This justice system is not fair and you may be protected now, but when God's calls you, Remember, he has a justice system of his own and you won't fall throught those cracks!!

In Jesus Name, Amen!!

American Girls the movie begins filming January 2012!!

2011-11-21T08:19:00.000-08:00

I'm so excited to announce that I will be joining the cast of the most anticipated American Girls movie !!

This will be my first horror film and I am so ready!! I just hope I don't get killed in the beginning of the movie. lol

"American Girls" is based on horrific true events; It is a dark, nihilistic tale about the abduction, rape and murder of two high school girls and the fallout that nearly decimates a small Mid-Western town as long buried secrets surface when the police begin to put together the pieces of the crime. Using the frame work of movies such as "The Social Network", "American Girls" offers no easy answers. Using multiple character points of view; the film presents a harrowing, psychologically astute look at a tragic crime and an uncompromising glimpse at what contributed to the death of the girls, the aftermath their families face and the utterly evil persona's of their killers.

The film stars Devanny Pinn, Kristina Page, Burgandi Phoenix, Brandon Slagle, Josh Hammond, Tawny Amber Young, Chriss Anglin, Jessica Cameron, Kyle Morris, David Carter-T, Carlos Ramirez, Brea Renee and more TBA.

This is the AFM marketed teaser trailer for the Wetwork Media/Pinnovating Productions/Zeroinside Films production of "AMERICAN GIRLS" - directed by Eric Anthony Pereira. Graphic images are in the trailer below:

The song in this trailer is "You Are My Sunshine", performed by Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan.

Petition demands E! to remove The Kardashian's from the air!!

2011-11-16T00:20:00.000-08:00

So the Kardashian drama continues but this time, for the worst!!

There are numerous reports surfacing the web, about a petition that Anti-Kardashians viewers signed on www.GoPetition.com, demanding E! Network to remove "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" from programming. These viewers are extremely fed up with the lies and want the show cancelled. Petition originator, Cyndy Snider, plans to continue collecting signatures, to present to the E! Network soon.

Here's a copy of the petition below:

"Dear E! Online,

We are respectfully requesting that your network find other shows to air.

'Keeping up with the Kardashian's is just not viewing that we the public, would like to see from your network. Enough is enough.

I am asking people to sign a petition that will be forwarded to E! Online to request that the show, 'Keeping up with the Kardashians,' ends."

Snider also stated, "We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption."

The petition, which was posted on Nov. 2, 2011, days after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her husband, NBA player Kris Humphries, after just 72 days . So far, has collected nearly 150,000 signatures .

Kim has recently been under extreme scrutiny, following her abrupt split from her husband Humphries, which led many to questioned, if the marriage was real at all. It is also rumored that the wedding alone, raked in over 17 million dollars.

I'm not sure how this is going to play out because "If it's not making dollars, Then it's not making sense! However, this show is and has been raking in a lot of cash(millions) and ratings!! Let's see what the numbers are for the next season, to see if it's making any sense!!! Either way, "The Kardashian's" are laughing all the way to the bank, with their millions, they have made in a short period of time!!

Do you think this show will last? What are your thoughts?

Stay tuned to see what happens on the next "Keeping Up with the Kardashian's"........

Shots fired at the White House today.

According to Associated Press Reports— The Secret Service says a bullet hit an exterior window of the White House and was stopped by ballistic glass.

An additional round of ammunition was also found on the exterior of the White House. The bullets were found Tuesday.

The discovery follows reports of gunfire near the White House on Friday. Witnesses heard shots and saw two speeding vehicles in the area. An AK-47 rifle was also recovered.

The Secret Service says it has not conclusively connected Friday's incident with the bullets found on the White House grounds. U.S. Park Police have an arrest warrant out for Oscar Ortega-Hernandez, who is believed to be connected to the earlier incident.

It is confirmed that President Obama arrived in Australia safely on Wednesday, Nov.16, 2011 . He was greeted by Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and had an official arrival ceremony at the Parliament house.

Singer Adele cancels U.S. tour!!!

2011-10-04T23:41:00.000-07:00

According to the promoter, Live Nation, My favorite UK singer Adele cancelled her US tour, due to complications with her vocal cords. Adele appears to be suffering from an untimely hemmorhage in her vocal cords, which caused previous appearances, earlier this year, to be postponned.

Currently refunds are being offered, However, there will be rescheduling as soon as she recovers.

Here is a statement from Adele: “Singing is literally my life, its my hobbie (sic), my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever. I have great confidence in believing you know how much this upsets me, how seriously I take it and how truly devastated and annoyed I am by this. wanting to do something so bad and not being able to is the most frustrating thing as im sure you know! my voice is weak and I need to build it back up. I'm gonna be starting up vocal rehab as soon as, and start building my over all stamina in my voice, body and mind. I will be back and im gonna smash the ball out the park once im touring again. I apologise from the bottom of my heart, sincerely I do. I know its not only disappointing because of the show, but its plane tickets, hotel bookings, birthdays, anniversaries and time wasted. but please have faith in me that this is the only thing I can do to make sure I can always sing and always make music for you to the best of my ability. Truly yours and yours only forever, Adele xx”

I've been busy trying to be more independent because "Now I can." Not sure, if being 18 has changed anything but having more responsibility, however I will let you know when it does! I just received my official license in the mail today. Yay! I'm so happy, I don't have to carry this paper version of a license around anymore.
I am thinking about getting a tattoo, nothing big or noticeable but still beautiful. If you guys have any suggestions, let me know or send me a link to some amazing tattoo's that you have seen.

"The AP reported that Secret Service agents, dressed casually, arrived at the store 30 minutes before the first lady, who shopped with an assistant. She reportedly spent 30-40 minutes shopping and was only recognized by her cashier."
