Last Saturday was awesome. The whole family gathered at a Flamingo Lake in Putrajaya to celebrate the birthday of my six year old niece, Ameera.

We planned a week ahead for the party and it turned out GREAT!!!!

Everybody enjoyed ourselves :)

BATTLING INFERTILITY

2011-10-16T21:27:00.000-07:00

*Pic from google

Hi!

It is just something that I want to share for a long time..

For those who know, Ezmir and I are married for almost 3 years (our anniversary is in 1 week time!!yahoo!!) and the honeymoon period or child-less mood is almost over..ehehe Having kid is now pretty relevant as we both are getting older. As we plan on economics stability and pretty much everything in welcoming the baby to the world, there is an issue which we have to overcome with, earlier- INFERTILITY

We have done with numerous hospital check ups, blood checks and medical procedures about a year ago.

And now I am ready to share it with everybody.

For your information I did all my check ups, blood work and everything in Putrajaya Specialist Hospital. They have all the capacities to do the procedure for you and the good thing is that - It's FREE!!! -Well, Ezmir thought differently since he claimed that he paid the hospital every month via govt tax! (he is one of the guy who upset with the 2012 budget proposed by the government =) hahaha)

Anyway you can think what ever you want but as for me, it will be very ease in my pocket since I have to pay only RM5 for the registration purposes.

The first and foremost I did my blood work session one month after the thorough sex interview by the doctor. (huishhh! I hate that!) It's better not to discuss every single detail or I might ended up publisized my bedroom story!

Blood Check on Day 2 of your menstrual cycle

FSH & LH check
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a hormone found in humans and other animals. FSH regulates the development, growth, pubertal maturation, and reproductive processes of the body. FSH and Luteinizing hormone (LH) act synergistically in reproduction. Read More

MGTT check
A glucose tolerance test is a medical test in which glucose is given and blood samples taken afterward to determine how quickly it is cleared from the blood. The test is usually used to test for diabetes, insulin resistance, and sometimes reactive hypoglycemia and acromegaly, or rarer disorders of carbohydrate metabolism.

Blood Check on Day 21 of your menstrual cycle

Progesterone Level Check

Medical Term: A progesterone test measures the amount of the hormone progesterone in a blood sample. Progesterone is a female hormone produced by the ovaries during release of a mature egg from an ovary (ovulation). Progesterone helps prepare the lining of the uterus (endometrium) to receive the egg if it becomes fertilized by a sperm. If the egg is not fertilized, progesterone levels drop and menstrual bleeding begins.

A few weeks later

HSA Check - all men hate this!! ;)

A semen analysis evaluates certain characteristics of a male's semen and the sperm contained in the semen. It may be done while investigating a couple's infertility. - The good news is everything was fine with 'the man' but the bad news is the infertility problem might come from my system.

A month after that

HSG procedure

It is a standard procedure to check whether you have any blockage in your fallopian tube which colored dye is injected into the uterus and this dye then travels up through the fallopian tubes and out into the abdominal cavity.

I did some research on this earlier and most of them were terrified with the procedure. I thought it was a simple procedure and not really painful! hahaha I was wrong.. the procedure was taken only for like half and hour but it was so painful that I almost fainted in the hospital. And was given a bed rest for like an hour. Well I guess different people will have different experience.

Everything turned out to be fine except for my-not-so-stable-hormones and my minor PCOS syndrome. The doctor has prescribed me with some pills(merformin and clomid to work on their magic) The pills supposed to boost up my ovulation process and prepare the uterus for the incoming fertilized eggs.

Well it did'nt work this time! Stay tune for more updates on my next procedure..

Cheers!

ABANDONING MY VERY PRECIOUS DIARY

2011-10-09T23:31:00.000-07:00

I have been extremely busy for this past months. Remember how I spent so much time helping my sister's on her wedding stuff? Well, it turned out to be my new interest now- weddings!! I just can't stop doing it. If some of you thinking that I am a wedding planner the answer is NO! Hell No! I have enough stress to cope nowadays. I am just a plain Candy Buffet specialist and my job is turning the bride/groom dream candy bar or desert bar into reality! It seems very easy at first but now it is taking my whole life, my precious weekends, and not to forget, ezmir's weekends too!

So as of now, I will just have to accept that this is now my new life! and I am still trying very hard to cope with this new business. Well, I am telling you everything (with the business) IT HAPPENED so fast!! At first I was just trying to realize my sister's candy bar and little that I know Candy Buffet in Malaysia has gained so many attention nowadays. And suddenly many of my sister's friends requesting for my help.=)

I got my little business featured (4 pages!!!) in Malaysia's number one wedding magazine in just 2 months operating period and my email and facebook account has been overflowing of people requested their personalized candy buffet since then..fuhhh!! what a mess!!hahaha

Maybe it is just my plain luck right?

My very first touch

Cheers!

Hi! I have been ignoring my blog since many months ago. Well, I have been busy accompanying my husband around Malaysia for the first quarter of the year. We've been traveling thousand of miles by car since i hate flying!!hahaha And for the rest of the month I am fully occupied with babysitting my baby niece, helping my sister's wedding preparation and catching-up my mom's facial saloon.

Fuh! I am not a multi tasker as stated in my work-resume ok! It is just a stupid resume! hahahaha

Updating my blog seems to be the last thing that I wanna do for now although I have so many things and moments to share.

So, to make you updated, these photos will speak by themselves. Enjoy! ;)

SPANX IN MALAYSIA?

2011-05-01T07:59:00.000-07:00

a good catch!

Hi! I am sure many (many) of you have heard about Spanx body suits.

Like everybody else, I wanna get myself spanx-ed!!!

It is very unfortunate that the company (based in US) did not extend their delivery service to Malaysia. Anyhow you can get your spanx delivered to Malaysia via unofficial dealer within 14 working days to 2 months. Million thanks to them!

However, as my sister's wedding approching in like 2 weeks time, I only realized that I need a spanx badly! So how do I get my spanx?

Hmmm..it's easy! I arrange a family vacation to SINGAPORE and I get both -Holiday+Spanx!! Hahaha

In short, you can get your spanx at Tangs Orchard, Singapore with no hassle, no waiting, no misses size and definitely you can feel the fabric suits you best! Owh! they did mention that they are selling Spanx in both of their outlets in Orchard and Vivocity but nope! They only sell Spanx in their Orchard branch. (As I went to both Tangs on the same day in pursuing my very first Spanx! A million thanks to ezmir!! muah!muah!;p)

Eventhough it was slightly expensive, hey! What the heck???!! I need them urgently whattt..hahahahaha

Till then!

Cheers!

THE FINAL ENGAGEMENT

2011-03-03T17:41:00.000-08:00

Hi! We had an engagement ceremony for my youngest sister last month. It was the very last engagement for my family as she is the only one left single. This would be the busiest year as she is getting married this May! oh my! She used to be our little sister which we got to bully and tease around every single day and now she is getting married! How time flies..

The engagement ceremony was quite simple but it was a beautiful day. The closing up of the ceremony is to watch both future-to-be bride & groom exchange their gifts and the future mother-in law of my sister put the engagement ring on to her finger. And voela! They are engaged!

TAIPING FOR DUMMIES

2011-02-21T17:16:00.000-08:00

Hi! And here's some tips for dummies on Taiping, Perak. Many have known that Taiping is getting the heaviest rainfalls every year. So you can expect a very green, cozy, easy to your eyes kind of scenery. There are big (big) trees surrounded the lake garden and I bet that they are more than 100 years of age.

If you happen to visit Taiping, here are the MUST see/try things in Taiping :

1) The coolest Zoo Taiping and Night Safari

2) Muzium Taiping

3) The serene lake garden

4) The extreme climbing of Bukit Larut

4) The famous Kuewtiao Doli - Opposite the Pusat Kesihatan Taiping

5) and last but not least the famous Yong Tau Foo - Behind the Jabatan Bomba

During my latest visit, I stayed at Kelab Golf Taiping and was very (very) happy with the room, the swimming pool and their hospitality. It was an awesome trip and we will come back next time!

A SWEET END TO 2010

2011-01-01T03:38:00.000-08:00

Hi! It seems like this would be the last post in 2010!

I would say the closure of 2010 was fantastic! The first and foremost on 28 Dec 2010 finally we welcomed my second niece, baby Sophie Alysha to the world. It was my eldest sister's first born after her two miscarriages. So you can expect the warm welcome we had for her.

Secondly, it was the glory of Malaysian winning over Indonesian in AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 yesterday. Malaysia declared for a public holiday on 31 December 2010 in appreciation of the squad's hard work and also to value the full support of Malaysians to the football national team.

Hey, what a sweet end to 2010!!

The Highlight of 2010

The year of 2010 has brought so many great memories to us which was beyond our expectations. The second quarter of 2010 was a grand highlight of our life journey together as we got to spent the whole quarter in Indonesia. We gained so many new experiences which we knew less if we opted to stay somewhere else. It was the first and they will be another, insyaallah.

Hopefully 2011 will bring prosperity, good health and good memories to both of us!

Cheers!

THE SWEETEST THING TO THE DARK NIGHT

2010-12-09T19:51:00.000-08:00

Hi!

Ikea's bedroom set

Our room in Rawang has completely changed!!! As many have known, we have yet to have our own house and we still live in two different houses. The first week in Putrajaya and the following week in Rawang. Amazingly the shift rotation has successfully done for more than 2 years now! :)

Redecorating our room was quiet fun though! Previously when we were getting married, both I and Ezmir had the privileged of having a new refurbished room for each one of us. Thanks to both our parents! So yeah, we decorated our room as we wished however Ezmir had some restrictions in decorating his room. All he wanted was his room to be more masculine rather than the ordinary sweet room. Meanwhile, I choose to have 'a hotel inspired room' in Putrajaya. As Ezmir's mom refused to have a masculine room for a wedding room, she suggested to have 'a white theme room'. And it turned out to be so sweet and I like it very much! hahaha but it was expected that Ezmir still wants to have his dream room!huhu

In short, after 2 years of marriage we decided that we should change the room decoration to his favor as the room was no longer 'a wedding room'. In other words, it has expired!!

So when we left Malaysia a few months ago, we packed every single little thing in the room and put it in a box for a major make over!

Though I miss "The Sweetest Thing" but I am happily welcoming "The Dark Night" to our little family

JAKARTA THAT WE MISSED

2010-12-07T18:41:00.000-08:00

Have you ever had a special song dedicated in memory of your vacation or maybe a song that brings back the good old times?? YES! I do have.. whenever I miss our moments in Indonesia, I will devotedly listen to this song. A good song sang by an Indonesian singer, Marcell. I really love his voice! Now the fond memories lingers..

Takkan Terganti

Telah lama sendiri
Dalam langkah sepi
Tak pernah kukira bahwa akhirnya
Tiada dirimu di sisiku

Reff 1
Meski waktu datang dan berlalu
Sampai kau tiada bertahan
Semua takkan mampu mengubahku
Hanyalah kau yang ada di relungku

Reff 2
Hanyalah dirimu
Mampu membuatku jatuh dan mencinta
Kau bukan hanya sekedar indah
Kau tak akan terganti

Tak pernah ku duga bahwa akhirnya
Tergugat janjimu dan janjiku

Kembali Reff 1, Reff 2 2x

Kau tak akan terganti

English Translation

Been alone for a long time
In these quiet steps
I'd never have guessed that in the end
You're no longer by my side

Reff 1
As time comes and goes
Even if you're no longer there
Nothing could ever change me
You're the only one in these corners of my heart

Reff 2
Only you
Who can make me fall and love
You're more than merely beautiful
Because you can never be replaced

I'd never have guessed that in the end
Your promises and mine would cross each other

Back to Reff 1, Reff 2 2x

You can never be replaced

A ROAD TRIP OF LOVE ON OUR ANNIVERSARY

2010-11-08T22:27:00.000-08:00

Hi!

Love can do so much isn't it?! As earlier post, Ezmir insisted to stay with me while the rest of my family left for China due to my restrictions to leave the country.(as if i am a fugitive!;p) I regret that I neglected my responsibility to pay back my study loan. After all, it was the right thing for them to restraint me from leaving the country even though it sounds so cruel and unthoughtful!

Anyway, we managed to settle the PTPTN loan issue within few hours on the next day (of course by running here and there and having Ezmir as my PR ;p) and Ezmir decided we should follow them to China in every possible ways. So, here goes our first road trip to nowhere!;p

Since there were no more available direct flights to Guangzhou, we decided to take a flight to Macau and from there we were going to take a local bus to Guangzhou. Please bear in mind that we both couldn't speak or read any single mandarin! Hahahaha (In China, they do not speak English at all!!)

So off we went to Macau.. hoping for the worse! Once we landed in Macau, we searched for a bus symbol and asked around with our written text in Mandarin. Thanks to Google Translate! It was like we were on Amazing Race Asia! Hahaha

The bus took almost 4 hours to reach Guangzhou with several stops. And later we took a cab to our hotel. It was hard to get a taxi too as they were very choosy! It was only the 8th cab that the driver agreed to take us to the hotel.

Thank god we managed to arrive safely and surprised our family at the hotel! It was a road trip of love for all of us!

p/s: thanks to all of our friends for your concern!:)

A HOLIDAY GONE WRONG

2010-11-04T07:38:00.000-07:00

Hi! I'm back with more recent stories of course!

Last week was our 2nd year anniversary and there was a very long holiday trip in celebrating the anniversary arranged months earlier. This vacation was fully paid by my parents as a pending wedding gift. And so you can expect the holiday is not just for the both of us! hahahaha The rest of the family consisting of 8 people were ready to get on board (my elder sister and her husband was not able to make it due to their pregnancy) when something really (really) terrible happen to us.

Everything was smooth sailing on Sunday morning at the airport until at the very last check point. I was the last person at the immigration counter when I was told that I can’t leave the country because of my unsolved PTPTN loan (a study loan). It was rather shocking news to me because I only graduated two years ago and I haven’t received any written warning nor documentation in regards to my study loan.

Ezmir walked back when he had a bad feeling about me. The rest of the family was about to board the plane when only they realized that we were missing. By the time my dad rushed to the counter I was already crying and Ezmir was already comforting me. After all the drama we decided to stay back while the rest of the family left for China. It was a devastating day for all of us as we had planned so many activities together. So many shopping malls and stuff we were going to miss there..

Fortunately, my family will have my super-big luggage once they land in China!!! *Sob*

*not as serious as this!! hahahahaha

No more cheers!

THISTLE HOTEL JB

2010-11-02T01:07:00.000-07:00

Hi!

For some who do not know, I used to work in a bank before I quit and followed Ezmir to Jakarta. While some people question me about my future job planning, I am very happy to be a housewife. I might don't get annual bonuses or other perks but I am more than happy to follow my husband everywhere he goes. That's include local and overseas trip!

p/s: Please do not terminate my perfect job as a housewife dear! Hehehe

Well, in order to return the favor of not doing anything in the hotel(while accompanying Ezmir), I like to share my experience in our recent stay in the Thistle Hotel Johor Bahru. Here goes the hotel review (thought it might be useful!)

Thistle Hotel Johor Bahru

Thistle Hotel JB is located in the heart of Johor’s city center. The hotel is overlooking the Tebrau straits and quite a distance from Sultanah Aminah Hospital. Having said that, you can imagine how many ambulance sirens you have to hear every hour. However this rather new refurbish hotel has a wide range of good services. Through my 3 days 2 nights stay in this hotel, I had the most excellent experience with the services provided. I love the idea of having only one button to dial up better known as ‘the Knock- knock button’ to attend to any of your request during the stay. And not to forget, the hotel staffs were friendly and nice. Their range of food was excellent and scrumptious!

Unfortunately, I had several issues with the hotel signage.

Firstly there were no single signage that is viewable to drivers directing to the hotel main entrance from the main street.

Secondly a very poor signage directing to the recreational facilities area was located in a toilet hallway instead of the large area in the lobby.

However, the hotel ambiance is very modern and elegant. Every room is equipped with flat screen TVs and a huge window or a transparent glass wall overlooking the sea.

I believe the hotel is new yet I was very sad with the condition of my room. During my stay, it was raining and my room was leaking! The water drops annoyed me for the entire day. Additionally the toilet floor was not made properly. The water from the bathroom did not directly flow into the specific hole but instead flooded around the toilet entrance.

Other than that, I am more than willing to stay again at the thistle Hotel Johor. I hope they will do something about it and by looking at the hotel, I don’t think they want to refurbish the hotel for at least in 5 years to come. Good Luck then!

Cheers!

MAID : GOOD OR BAD FACTS

2010-10-04T18:05:00.000-07:00

Hi! This picture was taken months ago in Indonesia. It seems normal for average (middle income group to high) family in Indonesia to have maids or servants to their children. Some might have more than one attending to the house chores and babysitting the children.The interesting part is that not only they are wearing uniforms but they are providing one to one relationship with the child. From my observation, they cater each and every single needs of the child efficiently for example;

i) Push the playground swing for them.

ii) Chase the little master (or some can be really a little monster!!;p) around the playground just to feed them.

iii) In any situation, the maid will always say yes to the children. Be it taking their shoes off on the ground and playing with the dirt and so on.

The good facts is that you know your child is being taken a damn good care by the maids. They are being fed on time with your home cook food and what not. The children also tend to become more creative and artistic as they have freedom to do about anything during their tender age.

But obviously if this 'full fledged maid-ing ' continues, your child will be dependent and everything has to be spoon fed. And not to forget, your child will be a spoil-bread and less disciplines since nobody will say DON'T to her/him.

Everything should be taken in moderation. And so to when raising your children. The extra hand is very useful but not to overuse them. It will result to a bad ends eventually.

Cheers,

IT'S RAYA!!!!!!

2010-09-22T19:52:00.000-07:00

Hi! It's Raya again!!! Yes!!!! We are so thankful that we can celebrate Hari Raya in Malaysia instead of celebrating it in Indonesia! hahahaha

In conjunction with Hari Raya celebration, we have to prepare many traditional dishes. This year around we go for TRADITIONAL in preparing food!! No more buying ready made stuff ok? hehe We had so much good times preparing Lemang, Ketupat Palas, rendang and many more from scratch.

During the first Hari Raya normally we go to the mosque for Raya prayers in the morning. After the prayers only the whole family will gather at home and seek for elders forgiveness eg; parents, spouses, siblings and later duit raya giveaways (Monetary Gift something like sadaqah). Soon after that only we can have heavy (heavy) breakfast eg; Lemang, rendang etc. Hari Raya is the day we celebrate since we are able to self-restraint from doing bad things and to fast for the sake of God for the whole month of Ramadhan.

So browse down for more pictures of raya!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE?

2010-09-07T00:25:00.000-07:00

Hi! What do you like the most in Ramadhan? First and foremost - I love the food during buka puasa (breaking fast)! My favorite dish for buka puasa which my mom will cook for me is Ketupat Sotong. The dish was originally prepared for the Kelantan Royalty and is now being enjoyed by us "commoners"!

Secondly, I love to prepare deserts during Ramadhan. This year around I hired a personal assistant to help me with the preparation..

Thirdly I love gatherings with friends during buka puasa. We actually had several buka puasa sessions with our close friends however since we were very hungry at that time, none of us had the time to snap pictures..hahaha

Lastly I love the gotong-royong we always have everytime it is a few days away from Eid dul Fitr. Tired but lotsa fun!

THIS IS MY CONFESSION

2010-08-19T00:11:00.000-07:00

Hi! Yeah..it is my very first confession!! I am soo happy to confess that....

I AM DEBT* FREE !!!

Since I was in my university years, I have been collecting credit cards from various banks. I was so obsessed with the design of the cards and of course the credit limit. Blame it on to my tender age, I splurged on almost everything from handbags, perfumes, make ups and most of all - VACATIONS! I was so proud when I got to sign (on the credit card slip) of my purchases-As if the money spent was not from my bank account! It was interesting when the bill came up and I kept paying only the minimum amount of my usage. Hahahaha

The 'good financial planning' lasted for like 4 years until I realized that all my cards have been declined. From that moment on I started to think of repaying all my debts and to stop exploiting credit cards again.

In my opinion, having credit card in your purse is something you should be proud of only when you are young! It is just another phase of your life and a statement to everybody that you are no longer depend on your folks. I wont stop anybody from having credit card but do set a target to be DEBT FREE soon or later.

Today, I am proud to say that I am no longer in debt with credit card company! (Of course with Ezmir's help..thanks to you! ) but Ezmir let me keep one of those in case of emergency! hehehe ;p I am very thankful that I cleared most of my debts in this holy month of Ramadhan. It's a blessing month indeed!

ANOTHER CHAPTER ENDS...A NEW ONE BEGINS

2010-08-02T05:50:00.000-07:00

Hi! This post is specially dedicated to our remarkable journey in Indonesia as Ezmir has ended his cross-country attachment TODAY...and we are heading back home permanently (at least until notified otherwise! hehehe). His director actually wanted him to stay longer - for another 3 months but unfortunately his request was turned down!!

Jakarta has given us one of the most valuable experiences and definitely a new chapter in our lives.. We will miss the experience of living "just the two of us" (read: just like song by will smith) in this teeny tiny house sharing stories, laughter and surviving loneliness.

Once we are back in Malaysia, our lives will be back as it was before. Enjoying our families warm company, great food and noisy gatherings, birthday parties, finally the big hugs from both our niece and nephew!

Before this Indonesia was just another place we visited on holiday, but now I think we can call it our second home! We will miss you JAKARTA!!

"This strange place brought back the love, created memories and laughter and will be sorely missed!"

Cheers,

Hi everyone! Sorry for not updating my blog for a while now.. I have been very busy packing up and cleaning our house as we gonna leave the house in Jakarta soon! hehe

We have finalized most of our shopping list and yet, there are many more still pending and I don't think we can make it due to our time constraint - Deeply sorry to our family!

Blok M Mall

Two weeks ago we did our souvenirs hunting at Blok M Mall. We have been told by our driver that the mall was one of the earliest super big shopping complex in Indonesia during President Suharto's time. Surprisingly there are many (many) Indonesian handcraft which are nice and not too pricey unlike other souvenirs shop in Jakarta for example Sarinah Mall and Batik Keris.

So we did our handcraft shopping there and later headed for our dinner at Solaria Restaurant. Solaria is an Indonesian chain restaurant and you can find them almost everywhere in Jakarta! The food was quite nice and so do the price. - not so expensive. The good thing is that, they serve food in a large portion!!

Pacific Place

On the other hand, Pacific Place is another high end mall which I don't fancy at all!:) The only reason I go there for quite a number of times is due to Ezmir's office moving to a new building. *sigh I would rather go to Ambassador Mall everyday like I used to! hehe
