Ooh, I caught Son of Fedor in the last of the light today! The sun was retreating behind my wall here, and only the top surface of the wall, and Son of Fedor, were in the light.

I think Son of Fedor is a Zebra Spider. Tiny little jumping spider, just a few millimeters long.

Thanks to MACRO Polo on the BBC Springwatch group for helping to ID these spiders. This indeed is a Zebra jumping spider, or Salticus scenicus. Judging from the male/female photos on flickr, I think Son of Fedor is a female.

If there's one thing that I dislike most about photography, it's shooting in direct sunlight. I had to suck it up and do it today, though. We drove into San Gimignano and Siena and walked around those two places for most of the day. It was phenomenal. I think San Gimignano is one of my family's favorite places yet. Tomorrow, we are visiting a few other small places which should be a good time. Hope everybody is enjoying their weekend.

Among my frivolous thoughts, I believe there are beautiful things seen by the astronauts. The indications reveal that few of us realize life is quite surreal. So if you're dying to see, I guarantee there are angels around your vicinity.

She just arrived yesterday (Thanks Michaela!) and today i just couldnt resist doing her repaint. While she was in transit, i was planning on using berries and nudes for color, though i would still have to see her skin tone if it will work. and it did. Now she's my african queen, and cant wait for her to be my fitter. :D

This is the view from Diamond Head on Oahu, Hawaii.

I used by big B&W 110 ND filter for this 15 second exposure in order to get a nice movement in the clouds and the water. I hope this worked out :-)

My 10-24 lens wasn't capable to capture the full scale of this mighty glacier (Skaftafellsjökull) in Skaftafell National Park, Iceland. The weather was amazingly mild during the walk up here, Icelandic people told me later that it was the warmest day ever in March in Iceland....lucky me...:)

Rysk blåstjärna (Scilla siberica) är art i familjen hyacintväxter. Den kan bli upp till två decimeter hög och blommar tidigt på våren med klarblå eller blåvioletta blommor med blå ståndarknapp. Rysk blåstjärna kommer ursprungligen från södra Ryssland och Mellanöstern men odlas i många trädgårdar varifrån den har förvildats exempelvis till närliggande parker och vägkanter. Den kallas ofta för Scilla.

The Story
This mother and cub (child) was passing by while we was doing some climatic research in the Fram Straight. I think the scene was a bit interesting with the birds in the background. The colors up here is really special. The Polar Bear is the biggest of all bears. This day we saw 19 of them. This mother and cub was close to a big male bear. That is unusual to see. The male Polar Bear is known of killing the cubs so he can get the mother interested in him. But nothing happened, not as long as we was there.
