Exactly 50 years ago, on 11 January 1961, Emilio Bombassei and Italo Breda founded Officine Meccaniche di Sombreno di Bombassei e Breda, the original company out of which the Brembo we know today grew.

From its origins as a small mechanical workshop, Brembo followed a path of growth that would see it become the undisputed leader in the global brake systems market.
