I want to share a story with you.  It is about a little boy named Peter. Peter was a child who could never live in the moment. He could never present his gifts to the world; he was always in a rush to get through life. He’d be in class and he’d want to be on summer vacation. He’d be on summer vacation and he’d want to be on Christmas holidays.

One day this little boy was walking in the woods and he came across a patch of grass. He laid down and fell asleep. Suddenly, he was roused by the sound of his name.

“Peter. Peter. Peter.”

He opened up his eyes and could not believe what he saw. In front of him was an ancient woman with snow white hair. In her hands she held a ball. In the center of the ball was a hole out of which dangled a long piece of thread. She looked at him and she said, “Peter this is the thread of your life.”

“What?”

She said, “This is the thread of your life. And if you pull on it days will go by in minutes and if you pull it a little more weeks will go by in days.”

“Do you want it?” she asked.

Peter said, “Absolutely. I’ll be able to fly through the boring parts of life.”

The next day he was sitting in class, not enjoying the moment or experiencing the gifts of the day. Then he remembered the ball, so he pulled it out and tugged on the thread. Tug, tug, tug. The next thing he knows he’s on summer vacation.

He said, “This is fantastic!”

He pulled out the ball again. Tug, tug, tug. The next thing he knew he was a teenager.

He said, “Well, being a teenager is great but now I think I need a girlfriend.”

So he grabbed the ball and pulled on the thread again and found himself with a pretty young girlfriend named Elise.

He said, “This is great but I don’t want to be a teenager anymore. I want to be an adult now.”

The next thing he knows he’s married to Elise and the couple has two wonderful children. Then he noticed that his once jet black hair was slowly turning gray. His once vibrant and vital mother was growing old and frail.

Perturbed, he pulled out the ball and tugged on the string again. The next thing he knew he was an 85-year-old man. As for his wife Elise, she had passed away years earlier and the children were grown up and leading lives of their own.

For the first time in his life, he became very sad. He realized that he had not used his time and had not experienced life fully. In his sadness he walked out to the woods that he had loved as a child and found that patch of grass and he laid down to take a rest.

All of the sudden he heard his name being called, “Peter, Peter, Peter.”

When he opened his eyes he couldn’t believe what he saw. It was the old woman with snow white hair and she looked at him and said, “Peter, how have you enjoyed this gift I gave you so many years ago? Have you lived life fully? Have you been your best?”

He looked at her and said, “At first I loved this gift. I could fly through life quickly. I was always on the move. But now I realize that I didn’t live life. I didn’t watch the sunrises. I didn’t make great friendships. I didn’t give my potential to the world. I didn’t make a difference. It was all a waste.”

The old woman looked at him and said, “Peter, you’re a very ungrateful man but I’m going to give you a second chance to live your life over again.”

Confused, Peter went back to sleep. Then, he heard his name being called again. But this time he couldn’t believe what he saw. It wasn’t the 100-year-old woman. It was his mother. And she was young and vital and laughing.

She shook him awake and said, “Peter, you silly little boy. You’ve slept in again. It’s time to go to school.”

Peter realized that it was all just a dream. He stared at his mother. Looked out the window at the day and went off to school grateful for every moment.

The point of wisdom from that story is that every one of us knows that we’ll never have a chance to live our lives over again—yet so many of us postpone living. Here’s the big idea: you will never have a better time to play your best game. Most of us postpone being better at work until our children grow older. Or we postpone traveling until we have more time. Or we postpone taking better care of our health until we manage our workload better. Yet there will never be a better time to play your best game and shine as brightly as there will be today. Chinese philosophers once said the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the second best time is today.

Elite performers understand that life is short—there may not be another chance to be great.

Good day, I was reading Success Magazine this week and came across these tips that anyone can use to make their health life much better.

Let’s be honest. Health is important yet many of us don’t take it seriously. Our health is our wealth and when we don’t take care of it, it comes back to bite us in the future in ways that we least expect and least like.

Without your health you cannot do anything for your loved ones or even for yourself. If you have big plans and dreams you may not be able to achieve them if you have poor health.

Here are 4 simple tips to great Health.

1. Keep a food journal and track what you eat– This means making small tweaks to your diet that can help cut out some of those things that might be causing you to gain weight instead of losing weight. Sometimes a simple tweak by cutting out 1 cookie from your day can do wonders to your diet. Using a journal will help you to see why you are the size you are.
2. Do a Vice Check- Pick one vice per month to work on. Maybe you eat too much chips, drink too much soft drink, don’t get enough sleep etc. Pick one of these and then eliminate it for the month.
3. Start Small and Start at Home- If you have never exercised then start off by walking just 5 minutes each day for the week and the following week you can add another 5 minutes. Pretty soon this will become a habit for you.
4. Make an eating plan- Plan your meals for the week including snacks and stick to the plan. If you should be eating almonds at one point during the day, don’t eat cake instead. Stick to the plan.

3. If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies. Succeed anyway.

4. The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.

5. Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable. Be honest and frank anyway.

6. The biggest people with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the littlest people with the littlest ideas. Think big anyway.

7. People favor underdogs, but follow only top dogs. Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

8. What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight. Build anyway.

9. People really need help, but may attack you if you do help them. Help them anyway.

10. Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the best you have anyway.

In other words what she is saying is that you need to have proper values as a leader and if you feel you are called to lead then make sure that people see these values in you but know that even though you may be such a good person, people will find things that are negative to say against you so don’t be deluded into thinking that just because you are doing good things that people will like you and talk well about you.

Even in the Bible we read how Jesus did all these good things yet people hated him without a reason.

Let people see the good things in your life and continue to do it irregardless if people like you or they don’t.

Simply put, in a cemetery, you fill find that there are books that were never written. There are songs that were never sung. There are ideas that were never acted upon—dreams that were long forgotten. If one were to die today, then what ideas and what aspirations would die with him or her? And the immediate contingencies that relied on the survival of such a reverie would eventually perish with the evanescing dream.’

The cemetery is actually the wealthiest place on earth. According to Myles Munroe it is the wealthiest place because it has all the treasures and songs and dreams of people that if it were manifested in real, it would have made the world a much richer and healthier place to live in.

So now that you know where the richest place in the earth is you need to start taking action today and everyday to ensure that you go after your dreams and you don’t die with your dreams unlived. You have greatness inside of you and the people who make a difference in this world are not those who have a dream but those who actually take the time to work on achieving their dreams.

So these are the steps you need to take now that you know this.

1. Write down your dreams
2. Order it according to which one is the most important
3. Take action each day to ensure you are one step closer in the achievement of your dream.

Once you do these things today and everyday you will eventually reach your dreams and be in the 3% of people who actually move past the stage of having a dream to living a dream.

We need to start singing our own praises and writing our own songs. It does not matter what people think about you but what matters is what you think about yourself and how you see yourself.

You have got to fight for what you want and go after it with all of your tenacity.

Are you the type of person who is always down in the dumps or you could never seem to watch people in the eye when you are talking to them. Do you suffer from low self esteem. To be really successful in life life you must be a confident person and it is vitally important that you know how to have self confidence.

So how does someone go from being an insecure person to be a person who is self confident?

Firstly you need to stop listening to that negative voice inside your head. You know there is this negative voice in your head who says ‘they would not like you, you’re stupid, who do you think you are?’ etc. You need to stop listening to that voice inside your head. That inner voice is what is crippling you and that voice does not want what is best for you. If you keep listening to that voice inside your head you will always be an insecure person and that voice will hold you back for the rest of your life.

Another thing that you can do is remember a time when your confident level was very high and try to visualize that entire event. Remember exactly how you felt, how the people in the environment reacted to you. Begin to feel the atmosphere that was created back then. I remember there was a time that I had to give a wedding speech and man did I ‘rock the crowd’. I felt super confident during that time. Think of a similar time in your life and begin to relive the experience. It will will sure improve your self confidence.

Lastly I guarantee that if  you do this you will learn how to improve self confidence, and that is learn to go out of your way to help someone with something that they may need help in that you can do. For example if you see an old woman struggling to cross the street, then I urge you to help her to cross the street. You will see how much she will appreciate it and how good it will make you feel as well. Learn to add value to other people and as you begin to add value to other people, they will sing lots of praises to you and you will see how much it will boost your self confidence.

Put these simple actions into practice and I guarantee you that you would know how to improve self confidence.

Let’s be honest. We all need better sleep. When we do not sleep properly it affects our entire day and we end up tired, angry, frustrated etc.

We all need to sleep and we all need to sleep properly.

Getting 7 1/2 to 8 hours of sleep each night is what we want and what we need. We tend to crave it a whole lot and we know that sleep is one of the best things that can affect our energy and mood for the rest of each day.

Also when we don’t get enough sleep we can cause our bodies to run down which increases the likelihood of us getting sick and it also is dangerous if we are drivers and we fall asleep behind the wheel because there are many accidents and deaths all over the world due to this occurrence.

In this article I want to share with you 5 tips for better sleep.

1. Plan For It
1. Yes you heard me right. We need to plan for having 8 hours sleep. You see sleep management is really about time management and if we do not plan for it we simply will not have it. Let’s say you need to get up at 6 a.m then you need to count back  8 hours from then and decide to go to sleep at 10 p.m. You need to stick to this routine.
2. Create the Perfect Sleeping Environment
1. You need to create an environment that is conducive to sleeping. Normally you want a room that is cool and one that is dark and that does not have any light in it cause these are things that will cause you remain awake at night.
3. Use the Bed For what it was made For
1. Now I have to admit that even I struggle with this part but it is critical. You need to use your bed for only 2 things and that is for sleeping and for sex (once you’re married lol). Do not use the bed to watch t.v, read novels, play video games etc. Your bed should only be used for sleeping or sex.
4. Be Consistent
1. This will be hard for most people but you need to maintain this routine even during the weekends when you do not have to go to work. At least try to get up for the latest 2 hours after your normal workday time because if you do not do this your body will think you’re suffering from jet lag. You can make up for the sleep by taking a power nap later.
5. Avoid Caffeine
1. If you are a person who is addicted to caffeine then you need to get over this addiction or at least stop drinking anything with caffeine by 6 p.m for the latest otherwise you might have problems falling asleep at night.

So there you have it. Those are 5 tips for Better Sleep and I am sure if you do these things you will sleep much better at night and have a much more productive day each day.

Good day. As I write this it is now Valentine’s Day and I know that many of you reading this may be alone or single as they call it.

So how do you deal with being alone on Valentine’s Day?

As you go through the day, you may notice many people getting gifts and chocolates and other nice things and you may not be getting anything.

You may begin to feel depressed or sad because you don’t have any ‘love’.

First you need to realise that Valentine’s day is just a day and just because you are single does not mean you are not loved.

In fact many of these people who are in some sort of relationship are just in it because they don’t like to feel that they are alone or they feel as though they need to fill this void in their life so they get themselves in a relationship.

Being single has lots of benefits that go with it so don’t feel depressed or down because that perfect person is not in your life right now.

Enjoy being with yourself and loving yourself first because you cannot love anyone if you don’t love yourself.

Treat yourself to something special today and don’t allow other people and what they do today to dictate how you feel on this particular day.

If you are alone on Valentine’s day that is nothing to be ashamed off because there are many people to-day who are in the same boat.

I am sure you have people in your life who love you a lot so don’t let a particular day get you down.

Every day is a day for you to give and receive love, not just today.

16) She blushes when she looks at you.
A woman who finds you “cute” will often look at you but blush when
she sees you looking back. Not all women have this — only the shy
ones do.

17) She tries to “domesticate” you or cook for you.
You know a girl probably likes you when she keeps on trying to
domesticate you or to cook for you. That’s usually something
she reserves for her man, not her “best guy friend.”

18) She gives you “the vibe”.
If she gives you “the vibe” on a date, it’s a sign there’s strong
attraction. You gotta make sure it’s not just in your head though!

19) She dresses up when she knows she will see you.
How do you know if she sees an outing as just a friendly outing or
a serious date? Look at the way she’s dressed. If she has purposely
dressed up to impress you (YOU, not the situation/environment), it’s
a pretty good sign she’s interested in you.

20) She’s available when you ask her out.
If she’s always available when you ask her out, it’s a pretty good
sign she enjoys hanging out with you. If there’s sexual chemistry
involved as well, then it’s a clear sign she likes you.

There are “fake”, friendly smiles and there are genuinely smiles
from the bottom of her heart. She’ll give you the genuine one if
she’s interested.

Girls like to fidget with their clothes when they are with a guy
they like. So watch out for it.

13) She laughs at your dumbest jokes.

You can often tell a woman is REALLY into a guy when she finds his

14) She mirrors your body position.

If a woman keeps on adjusting her position to match yours, it’s
a sign that there’s rapport between you two. While rapport alone
doesn’t indicate romantic interests, you can use it to support

15) She calls or texts you for random reasons.
When a woman really likes a guy, she will often call him at random
times for random reasons. If a woman starts giving you random calls
or sending you random text messages at off hours, it’s usually

6) She flips her hair at you.

It happens in movies; it happens in real life too. As with all the
other signs, you’ll want to confirm it with other signs as well.

7) She flashes her wrists at you.

attention to it alone but use it in conjunction with other signs.

9) She leans over and whispers to you.

The more a woman likes you, the closer she will lean towards you
and the softer her voice will be. She won’t use the same voice
that she uses with all her friends.

10) She mingles her stuff with yours.

With most women, there’s usually still a clear separation of “you” and
“me” when it comes to guy friends. But the more a woman likes you,
the more she will let go of that boundary and start finding little
ways to mingle her stuff with yours. She may put her bag or jacket
on top of yours instead of besides it, or she may start leaving
random objects in your apartment. (That’s how you end up with 2 bags
of her clothes and makeup that you have to give back when you
break up!)

Good day. Today I would like to share with you 25 Signs of A Woman That Is Interested in You.

Okay this list was compiled by a dating coach named Marius Panzarella so credit must be given to whom credit is due…

Anyway I am going to break this down into 5 Parts.

If you are a woman I would love to hear your thoughts on this post whether you agree or disagree!!!

Anyway let’s begin.

1) She flirts with you, but not with other guys.

Sometimes my readers email me for help because they are confused about
whether a woman is interested or not. They will tell me that there’s
a girl who’s been flirting with them, but every time they make a move
on her, they just find themselves stuck in the “just friends” category.
What I always ask these guys is, “Yeah. So she flirts with you. But does
she flirt with other guys?”

It’s a very important distinction. Some women are just naturally flirty
and like to tease everyone. Don’t take their flirting too seriously.
In fact, watch out for potential character problems. (Such women will
often have a whole lineup of guys doing little favors for them.) But if
a girl never flirts with other guys except you, then it’s a pretty good
indicator she MAY be interested in you.

2) She talks to you a lot, but not to other guys.

The same goes for talking. If she talks to you a lot, but not to other
guys whenever you are around her, then there’s a possibility she likes
you. One potential pitfall is that she only sees you as her best friend.
So make sure you flirt with her and see how much she flirts back.

3) You catch her checking you out.

If you catch a woman checking you out, then you at least pigue her
curiosity. Don’t read too much into it though. Whatever her perception
of you she may have inside her head may all go away as soon as you
approach her and start a conversation. (Hint: Make sure you build
rapport, flirt and act like a challenge!)

4) She lets a strap fall off a shoulder but does not fix it.

If a woman walks around with a strap falling of a shoulder “at
all times”, she should probably try to get into the entertainment
industry. But if it falls off after a long, romantic date and
she doesn’t fix it, then it could be a sign that she’s ready for
something more. Lean closer to her and see how she reacts.

5) She’s extremely excited and touchy when she is around you.

If a woman is extremely excited and touchy when she’s around you,
she probably likes you as a friend at least. And if she shows at
least 2–3 other signs on this list, then you’ve got a pretty
good chance with her. As always, crank up the sexual chemistry and
act like a challenge to make sure you don’t end up in the friendship
zone.

Today I would like to share with you the importance of a positive attitude.

I was listening to Zig Ziglar and he was sharing this true story from his past.

He was at the airport and he waiting in a very long line to checkout and there was lots of people in front of him and after he was waiting for quite a long time there was an announcement that the flight to Dallas that they were all waiting on was cancelled.

He said ‘Fantastic’

Now everyone looked at him strange and the person in the airport told him why he could be happy when he heard such bad news.

His reply to her was that ‘there are only 3 reasons why the flight to Dallas could be cancelled. First, something could probably be wrong with the pilot, second something could be wrong with the plane and third there could probably be bad weather and if any of those conditions exist I don’t want to be up there but I want to be down here.’

Now that is a man with a positive attitude. He later explained to the people that with the extra time that he now has to wait he will use that to do some important writing that he needs to do so it is not like he will not be able to enjoy himself while he has to wait.

Now he could have been like most people and complain and get upset and start to swear but none of those things would have been able to change the situation.

We need to learn to have a positive attitude in life or we will always be down and depressed for little petty things.

Winston Churchill said it best when he said ‘Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.’

I was reading The Compound Effect by Daren Hardy and I heard this story.

I heard a story about a man riding a horse at breakneck speed. It appears he’s going someplace very important. A man standing along the roadside shouts, “Where are you going?” To which the rider yells back, “I don’t know. Ask the horse.”

This is the problem with many people today.

They are busy and they appear to be going somewhere but they have no idea where they are going.

They are riding on the horse of their habits with no idea of where they are headed. It’s time to take control of the reins, and move your life forward in the direction of where you want it to go.

Have you ever taken the time to look at where your life is heading right now?

Only you can take control of where you want your life to go. You need to decide right now to take hold of your habits and then steer your life in a new direction.

You may not be able to change your destination overnight but you sure can change your direction!!!

Good day, Today I would like to speak to you on the importance of deadlines.

A lot of people have goals in their life and they wonder why they never achieve it. Some people have it written down as the gurus say but still don’t get to it.

One of the reasons could be that they never set a deadline to their goals. Goals need a deadline if we want to achieve them.

If all you do is say you want to achieve something but you don’t decide a due date then you could spend years and years procrastinating on this thing because you chose to never set a deadline.

It is a proven fact that humans tend to work better when under pressure and a deadline is one crucial way to put you under pressure so you will know what needs to be done.

Think back at a time in your life when you were under pressure to meet a certain deadline. I am sure that you were able to accomplish it due to this deadline.

When I was doing my final year project in school I had little milestones to meet at a certain date and there were times when I had to basically turn night into day in order to meet these deadlines.

What deadlines have you placed on your goals?

An example of a goal with a deadline is I will lose 10 pounds by 20th January 2012.

That is putting a deadline to your goal so that you take the necessary steps to achieve it.

Your homework for today is to start putting a due date for what ever goals you may be hoping to achieve.

Hey are you the type of person who is afraid of getting hurt by other people.

I know there were times in my life where I wished to not be hurt or embarassed by anyone so I kept away from them.

I preferred to stick to myself. When I am alone no one can tease me, no one can embarass me and no one can do anything to hurt me.

Have you ever been in a situation like that before? You rather live like a hermit so no one can hurt you?

My friends if you are like that then you need to change this behavior. It will not be very easy to do so but you do need to change your behavior.

You see when you behave like this you protect yourself from getting hurt but you really are robbing yourself from getting joy in the future.

Many people have been hurt by other people and because of this they refuse to get involved with others.

Some wives have been hurt by their husbands and they now will never talk to any man out there.

Maybe their husband cheated on them and now they rob themself of ever finding a better man out there who will help fill that relationship void in their life.

Has anyone hurt you like that before???

You need to move past that stage. You can’t live in the past. You need to move on because there is someone out there who is waiting to meet and be able to love someone like you. Don’t push them away.

Here is what I know!! There is a lot of nasty people out there who you  should avoid at all costs but there are also some really nice people out there too that you need to meet and get into your life.

You were not designed to be alone. No one is an island unto himself. We all need each other. Stop pushing people away from your life cause those same people may be the people that can change your life for the better.

Give people a chance!!!

You know what amazes me sometimes?

The amount of people today who are health conscious. I mean they know every single thing that you should eat or should not eat. It’s like they know what diet you should be on and how much exercise you should be giving yourself so that you can live a long and healthy life. I am sure you probably know such people. Now I have no problem with this cause it is good to eat and drink and exercise properly so you can live a healthy life cause as the saying goes — ‘You have to be healthy in order to be wealthy’.

The major problem that I see is that these people know all the important things that ought to go into our bodies but they neglect even more important things and that is the stuff that goes into our minds!!!

We must be as judicious when putting things into our minds as we are when putting things into our mouths.

Those are the words of Tim Sanders and they are so important.

A lot of people are feeding their minds a lot of junk and it is no longer they are always frustrated, complaining, angry etc.

People who watch a lot of news tend to be some of the most negative people you can meet and that is because the news carriers are dedicated to mostly bringing bad news.

CNN is Constant Negative News that you are feeding yourself when you keep putting those stuff in your head and whether you like it or not it is affecting you negatively. You need to reduce the amount of time you watch those things as well as some of the other junk that is on TV and movies and on the internet. There is a lot of junk being shared with the world through the media today and if you are not careful your kids will begin to be rebellious, angry and depressed at times and it all has a lot to do with the stuff that they are putting into their minds.

Whether you want to admit it or not the people who create these programs are in it to make money and they know by showing these kinds of negatives things it will gain interest and popularity among folks.

You need to go on a mental diet and for a week I want you to cut off all news, gossip shows and magazines etc that promote junk and tell me how you feel after that week.

I can guarantee you that you will realise that a mind diet is the best kind of diet to be on and it is so important that you go on this diet regularly.

A good leader does not put off till tomorrow what he can get others to do today — John Maxwell

Today I want to share with you why every leader must delegate if they want to be successful.

You cannot do everything yourself. You are not a super human with all the skills/talents. You need to rely on your workers to help achieve the goals of the organisation.

You need to write down everything that you know that only you can do. You cannot delegate these things.

Now I want you to write down all the different tasks that you need assistance in. These are things that you delegate.

Now that you have this list, you should write down the list of people in your company who can assist in these areas.

Train them to do it so you will not be majoring in on minor things. As a leader you have a lot of things to do but there are many things that you ought not to do because you are not qualified to do them. Delegate those areas to people under you. I am sure if you try out this strategy you will have a lot more time on your hands to major on major things.

Greetings to you my dear friends, I hope all is well with you and yours. Today I want to share with you all on being a person of influence. I am sure that all of you have to influence some people during the week whether it be your kids, your family, your spouse, a girl you like etc, we all need to be people of influence. So what are some things you can do to be a person of influence. Well there is no better person to ask than the ‘Godfather of Influence’ Robert Cialdini!!!

1. Reciprocation 
• This simply means that people will be influenced by you if you have first done something for them. If you would learn to add value to other people then they will be more inclined to let you lead them or at least listen to what you have to say. I am sure you heard the golden rule that says Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Statistics have shown that in restaurants after you have eaten your meal and the waiter brings the bill with the mints — the more mints on the tray, the bigger the tip they tend to get. This is because when people feel they have been valued a lot they are more willing to give a lot so learn to add value first to your people and they will be more inclined to be led by you.
2. Social Validation

• If you can prove to your people that a lot of people are doing a certain thing, they will naturally be influenced to do the same because humans tend to like to do what the crowd is doing e.g if everyone of your friends have an ipod touch you might be tempted to get one as well or if everyone is eating at a particular restaurant or watching a certain movie you will tend to be inclined to do the same as well.
• 3. Scarcity
  • People have a naturally tendency to want to get something or an opportunity that they deem to be scare or rare or it is unattainable by the majority of people. An e.g. of this can be if a new phone is out but there is only a limited amount available people will tend to rush to get this.

Can you be trusted my friend? Do people consider you to be a trustworthy person. Trust has a lot to do with a person’s character.

There are some people who you just cannot trust when it comes to money. If you give them a lot of money to hold on to, they may very well steal it cause money is too big of a temptation for them. The truth is as Cheryl just said, you cannot trust such a person in any other way.

People should be trustworthy in all areas. If someone tells you a secret and you spread that secret to all your friends, are you a person who can be trusted.

You need to be a person that people can trust. How can you be a person people trust?

1. Do what you say. If you said you were going to do something then just do it. Nike said it best. Don’t go back on your word. Be a person who does what they say they will do.
2. Own up when you are wrong. There is no one perfect so stop trying to act that way. People will trust you more when you are quick to admit your faults. Don’t for 1 second think that your people do not know your faults. They do know it but they are just afraid to tell you about it.
3. Trust is something that you earn. People do not just give you that right away. It is difficult to gain trust at times but it is very easy to lose that trust so be careful how you interact and deal with people.

Hi there.

I am not a married person at this point in time while I am writing this but I want to share with you something that can help you to ensure your marriage grows and develops in the way you would like it to be. I think this advice can apply to almost any relationship though and does not necessarily have to do with marriage.

If you follow these 4 things, your relationship with your significant other will be a whole lot better.

I learnt this from Denis Waitley and I want to share it with you.

LOVE

L — Listen Unconditionally. We live in a day and age when everyone wants to talk and no one wants to listen. Everyone seems to be wrapped up in themselves but when you truly love someone you need to be willing to listen to them an hear what they have to say. As Stephen Covey would say — seek first to understand then to be understood.

O — Overlook flaws. Now if you think by marrying someone that everything about that person is going to be perfect you are dead wrong. You are in a relationship with a human being and every human has their flaws but when you truly love someone you will be willing to overlook their flaws and see the good in them. You can even help them to work on their flaws as well by being the encouraging partner.

V — Voice your approval often. If your partner is doing something good, let them know. Don’t keep it to yourself. As Jim Rohn would say — flowers have a limited vocabulary. All flowers can say is that you remembered but your words tell the rest. Learn to commend your spouse often when they do something you like.

E — Effort. Make the effort to be there in person. Your spouse has a big function or graduation etc. Make sure and be there in person for them. You need to celebrate with them. Learn to take that time off from work to be there for them in every occasion in person.

My friends if you put these things into practice I can guarantee you that your spouse will truly see that you love them.

Hi there.

I know this topic will spark the interest of many people out there and it is a very important one.

Now everyone wants to have that special guy or girl in their life who they will spend the rest of their life with right. But I am sure that this is something that is extremely difficult to achieve for even the most handsome guy or most beautiful girl out there to achieve.

So how do we attract such a person into our lives?

Here is something I want you to do. Get a pen and paper and write a list of all the qualities you want in your ‘significant other’. Write it down. Make a list and number it down the page. These are the things that you will be looking for in your future partner.

Now here is another thing I want you to do. Make another list of the traits that you think such a girl/ guy will be looking for in her partner.

E.g I am a Christian and I know that the girl I am looking to attract will be looking for a lot of spiritual traits in her future partner.

Do the same with the girl or guy you have in mind.

Now that you see this second list, here is what you have to do.

Work on being that person that has those qualities in the second list. This will make you attractive to the opposite sex.

Now that you have these qualities what do you do?

Well now you have to go where these people hang out. You cannot meet them by sitting home all day playing World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy or Heavy Rain. You need to go where these people are and start to network.

If you are looking for a religious girl, then go to the churches, if you are looking for the dancing type then go and take a dance class. Go where they are and let them get to know you.

One other thing that attracts a lot of women especially is flowers. Why not do  a flower delivery and see how they respond.

If you will do these simple things you will be on your way to attracting that special person into your life.

Today I have a tough question for you to answer. Most people will not ask you a question like this but it is a really important question that you need to think about.

What is your plan for personal development?

Do you have such a plan? This was asked by my mentor Jim Rohn and it makes me realise how little we spend planning our lives especially on improving ourselves for the future?

There is no law saying that you have to have a plan which is why 97 percent of people will be dead and or dead broke by the age 65. All because they have no plan.

Do you have a plan for growth? Seriously if you don’t you need to sit down and seriously work on some sort of plan for growing as an individual. Maybe it can be a simple — read 10 pages off a book each day. I am sure that will probably be better than your current plan. The main thing is to have a plan and work the plan.

Don’t just stop with personal development. Ask this question in different areas of your life.

What is your plan for being a successful parent?

What is your plan for health?

What is your plan for financial security?

What is your plan for spiritual growth?

What is your plan for your kids?

What is your plan for family?

The main thing I am saying is to assess what is important to you and develop a plan for working on these things.

It’s not the amount that counts, it’s the plan that counts.

Someone once said that ‘courage is not the absense of fear but the judgement that what you want is more important than your fear’

Now what does the author mean by such a statement.

Now how many of us have been procrastinating on doing something that we know we should be doing but fear has kept us back.

FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) is all just a state of mind but it is one of the greatest killers to a man going after his dreams.

When the author speaks about judgement he is saying that the judgment of one day not having enough money to take care of his sick mother is more important than the fear of not making 1 sale if he is an insurance worker etc.

We can learn from his same example. What is it you fear right now and what is the judgement associated with that fear.

Perhaps you have an interview tomorrow and you are scared that you will make a fool of yourself but the judgement could be that you need a job desperately or else your sick child could die and thus you will try your very hardest to ace that interview and forget the fear because the judgement is more important than your fear.

Do you get what I am saying. Here is what I want you do.

1. List out the things you should be doing each day but have not done it due to fear.
2. Write out what is the judgement associated with that fear.

Would you allow the fear to dictate your life from now on or the judgement? That is something only you can decide.

Good day.

Today I will like to share 3 simple steps that you can take today to shortcut the learning process.

I know that many times in your life, you come across a problem or a situation that you know that you need to grow in because you don’t know much about it so you set out to learn about your topic.

How do you learn about this topic or problem?

Step 1 is to find someone who knows about the topic and ask them questions. There is a saying that says — Smart people learn from experience, super smart people learn from other people’s experience.

You see if someone had your problem before and solved it then it makes no sense you trying to learn it all on your own. Get a hold of this person and interview them and get some good advice.

Step 2 — Buy books on the topic

Almost any thing you need to learn in life, you will find that there is a book written on the subject. Read the book and take lots of good notes on the topic and you will shortcut years of learning.

Step 3 is to take action on the things that you learn.

It does not matter how many people you interview and how many books you read. What matters is taking action on the things that you learn. Without action nothing will ever be accomplished.

As Napoleon once said  ‘Take time to deliberate, but when the time for action has arrived, stop thinking and go in.”

Now if you will follow these 3 simple steps you could learn any topic under the sun until you are a master at it.
