My dog died last Thursday. Her name was Brownie. She was a miniature pincher. I’ve had Brownie for almost 6 ½ years. It’s amazing at how attached one can become with an animal. I loved that dog. Little Brownie was my best friend. Anytime I was feeling down, all I would have to do is call her over and ask her for a hug… and she’d give me one. Brownie was there for me when I was going through some of the roughest times in my life. Brownie wasn’t supposed to live to be 6 months old, because she only had 1 lung that worked, so I’m grateful that I got an extra 6 years with her.

Brownie was by far the smartest dog I’ve ever known. She had a great personality too. Brownie was trained on hand signals. She was fairly well behaved though she could be a terror sometimes too. Regardless, Brownie was sweet. She loved her drugs… The vet had Brownie on and off of tranquilizers to keep her calm (so she wouldn’t have an attack from her 1 lung)… All you would have to say is “Brownie, want some drugs?” and she would definitely let you know. Brownie would shake her head up and down… It was pretty awesome. Brownie had this stuffed elephant and a stuffed bone that were both about her length and she would hump them in the front room whenever new guest would come over… or sometimes just to have fun I guess. It was disgusting, but hysterical at the same time.

Brownie loved being covered up with her blanket… any blanket for that matter and she loved to snuggle. And to my surprise… Brownie took very well to our newborn Zoe. I thought Brownie would be super jealous of Zoe. Brownie would walk up to Zoe and ever so gently barely stick her tongue out to lick her head. I’m saddened that Zoe won’t get to know Brownie, but I’m glad that she is too young to understand.

Brownie had been slowing down a lot and had not been doing well for the past month or so. Last Thursday afternoon Brownie was following Chrystal (my wife) around the house then collapsed on the floor. Chrystal picked Brownie up and took her down to lay on a pillow by Brownie's bed. Chrystal called me at work just after 2pm crying and told me to come home.

I live 10 minutes away from work. By the time I got home, Brownie was dead, laying on the floor beside her little area of the front room. Chrystal was sitting on the couch crying holding our daughter Zoe. I picked Brownie up and carried her to our backyard. I laid her on the ground in the back corner of our yard by the big bougainvillea plant, then took off my shirt and tie and went and got the shovels. I cried the whole time I dug Brownie's grave. The part that was the hardest is when I laid her down in her grave and started covering her up with dirt. I’m getting emotional writing about it.

I’m going to plant a marijuana plant over Brownie's grave and grow Brownie Kush. Once the plant gets going, I’ll cut a couple of branches off and clone the plant. I'll keep her strain of herb going as long as I can. I’m not going to share my Brownie Bud with anyone except for those few who knew and loved Brownie. I guess that’s the way I’ll show my respect for her. Brownie will always hold a special place in my heart.

Debate

We just moved into a new house (rental that is, I’m not buying shit with the market in its current state). A lot has happened in the past couple of weeks. Obama just bent McCain over and made him into a bitch during the 1st Presidential debate this past Friday. I was really dissappointed with McCain’s performance; he repeated a lot of what Obama said as if it was his own words.

The war in Iraq is over oil. Don’t believe me? Here it is from McCain’s own mouth

Now, here are 10 things you should know about McCain… I couldn’t believe it when I saw it…

Tonight we get to see Biden/ Palin debate. I’m really curious as to if Biden is going to chew Palin up and spit her out… or if he’s going to lean back and let the media have a run at her tomorrow. I’m really curious as to if Palin is going to answer a question strait forward or if she is going to look dumb as she did in the Katie Couric Interview.
WOW... thank goodness she didn't pull a "Desperate Housewives" move.

BUT... What kind of message to our youth is it sending when our "potential" Vice President's daughter is having underage premarital sex AND getting pregnant?

So, this scandal has been rebutted.

What about the new scandal of her underage daughter having premarital sex and getting pregnant.? Oh, Sarah Palin's daughter is now going to marry the boy who got her pregnant. It sounds like Sarah Palin and Lynn Spears went to the same school of parenting.

What about Sarah Palin allegedly trying to get her ex-brother-in-law fired and retaliating against his boss for not doing so? We can't forget about that. The result of the investigation into her don't come back until a few days prior to the election.

What about Sarah Palin telling the country that she was against the Bridge to Nowhere when she actually supported and still supports it?

Sarah Palin smells like Bullshit to me.

Sarah Palin Scandals

WOW... What a bad choice John McCain made choosing Sarah Palin as his running mate. Sarah Palin's acceptance speech was horrible with how she was VERY obviously trying to gain women's votes. Does the GOP really think that women are stupid? By the way Palin's acceptance speech was written you would think so.

In addition to her... lack of experience... and having the attributes of everything else that McCain's camp has attacked Obama on... Sarah Palin has numerous scandals against her.

So let's take a look at some of the Sarah Palin Scandals out there.

Sarah Palin Scandal #1: Trying to get her ex-brother-in-law fired and retaliating against his boss for not doing so. (What kind of woman would try to get the father of her nieces and nephews fired?)
Is Sarah Palin Corrupt?

Sarah Palin Scandal #2: Did Sarah Palin watch 1 too many episodes of "Desperate Housewives" to "protect" her image of being a "good" mom? Allegedly, her 5Th child (the tard) isn't her child at all, but the child of her 16 year old daughter. Is it actually Sarah Palin's grandchild

Sarah Palin Scandal #3: During Sarah Palin's famous acceptance speech for the Vice Presidency of the United States, she roared,
"I signed major ethics reform. And I appointed both Democrats and independents to serve in my administration. And I championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. In fact, I told Congress -- I told Congress, "Thanks, but no thanks," on that bridge to nowhere."

She blatently lied to the American public... WOW... look at this article... Bridge to Nowhere

One would think that McCain would have done a little more research on his running mate before HE made that decision. If McCain is willing to make this type of bad decision for our White House, what other bad decisions would he potentially make? That's a question I ask myself.

Well, McCain's decision on having Sarah Palin as his Vice President of the United States has sealed it for me. The largest Immigration Raid in history happened this past Monday 8-25-2008 in Mississippi. It wasn't only the largest Immigration Raid in Mississippi's history, it was the largest Immigration Raid our country has ever seen... Even larger than the Iowa raid that happened back in May.

I'm sick and tired of sympythizers of illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrant sympythizers should be deported right along with the illegals. Illegals are a drain on our economy in so many different ways... from schools to our health care system to our prison system and more.

A pastor in the article said, "We have kids without dads and pregnant mothers who got their husbands taken away," said Velez's son, Robert, youth pastor at the church. "It was like a horror story. They got handled like they were criminals."

YES... they ARE criminals... They are in our country ILLEGALLY... I don't care what country an illegal immigrant is from, regardless if it's Mexico, China, India, Ireland or any other country. I think the mothers and "anchor babies" should be deported too. Because the workers at the plant in Mississippi were criminals, it should be no suprise that they are treated as such.

Hat's off to the Immigration Officers who did a great job of earning their paycheck.

If you are not from this country and want to be here. Go through the proper channels, learn English, pay taxes... don't be a parasite on our society. Yes, I belevie illegal immigrants are parasites sucking our society for everything they can.

If we'd only let the Minutemen conduct target practice at the borders, we'd see a great decline of border jumpers... Yes I said "border jumpers"...

Out of Control Police in Berwyn Heights Md

Wow... Police are out of control. There are a few cops who are there to protect and serve... but the most of them turn into corrupt power tripping egomaniacs...

This article tells about how the police raided the mayor's house in this local community... killed his two dogs in cold blood... then kept him handcuffed in his boxers for over 2 hours with his mother-in-law and didn't believe he was the towns mayor.

This all happened in a marijuana sting (if our gov't taxed mj and stopped the war on it, our national debt would decrease significantly, that's for another time though) which the couple were victims... Apparently a Fed-Ex driver would drop off packages of marijuana at an unsuspecting house and a short time later someone else would come pick it up... The Mayor got home and saw a package on his front porch and took it in the house... While he was changing clothes is when the police raided his home and murdered his dogs. Mind you, the dogs were running away...

The fucking police are supposed to be here to protect and serve... but all it takes is a $100 folded behind your license to get out of a ticket. I've done that on more than one occasion and have never received a ticket when I did.

Police are corrupt... Every day in the news you here something new about Police Corruption and more Police Excessive use of Force and Corruption or More Excessive use of Force or More Excessive use of Force and Corruption

These fucks should be kept under control.

Toilet Paper Experiment

Okay, so I work in an office with 10 other people other than myself... 9 guys and a chick. So, Monday morning I happened to notice in out bathroom that both rolls of TP were brand new, never used... This gave me the idea to try a little experiment. There is a debate as to whether TP should be placed over the top or turned around and come out the bottom. I'm more of an over the top type guy myself, though in the past I've been told I did it the wrong way.

Both rolls were placed over the top... So, I turned one roll around so it would come out the bottom.

The most interesting thing has happened. The roll that was turned around is still almost entirely there... The over the top roll was used up this morning...

So this just goes to show that people in my office prefer for the TP to be over the top.

Which way do you do it?

Vaccines, Autism and Children in School

The vaccine debate. Are vaccines safe or effective? I don't believe so. I have done a lot of research on vaccines... Up until about a year and a half ago, I thought it was completely irresponsible not to vaccinate your child. I thought parents who didn't vaccinate their child should have their children taken away and given to CPS.

I was ignorant. I now believe vaccines are a leading contributor to autism. I don't believe vaccines are safe or effective. I believe the drug industry has lobbied not only the various governments, especially ours; but have and continue to lobby medical institutions to push vaccines on the world. We are used by the health industry as guinia pigs and the doctors are compensated very well for it. Most doctors are taught wrong when it comes to the medicines they try to deliver, including vaccines.

Do your own research, make your own decision about what's best for your child. A book that helped us reach a decision about not vaccinating our child, as well as gave us a ton of resources to check out, was "The Sanctity of Human Blood, Vaccination is not Immunization" by Tim O'Shea. It's easy to read, written the way a person would speak.

So let's chat about unvaccinated children in schools. To all of the parents who think it's irresponsible, do your due diligence and research the topic... both pro and con. Now... here's my argument to the parents who DON'T want unvaccinated children to attend school.

"If you are so certain that vaccinations are both safe and effective, why would you care if your child was around someone who wasn't?"

"If vaccines are both safe and effective, you should have no worries if your child is around an infected person... let alone someone who is just not vaccinated... because your child is protected... right?"

"If you don't believe your child is protected... that means you don't believe vaccines work... If you don't believe vaccines work... Why in the hell would you have someone enter a foreign substance into your child's body?"

"If you are going to contaminate your child's blood stream, you should be 100% sure that what you are doing is the right thing."

"If you are sure you are doing the right thing, let's hope it's because you took the time to do the research and read the literature about vaccines and if they are safe or effective and if vaccines cause autism. As well as you should have taken the time to read pro vaccine literature too. You shouldn't just take your doctor's or pediatrician's word about it..."

"Is it possible that your doctor or pediatrician learned something wrong? It was commonly taught in universities that the world was flat prior to Christopher Columbus running into the Americas... The "smartest people in the world" knew beyond a reasonable doubt that the world was flat..."

"Only 150 years ago, it was believed and know to be true that black people weren't as smart as white people. They were less human and didn't feel pain the same way white people do. They were dumb and it was complete idiocracy to even think that a black person could read, write or be educated... and it would have probably landed ANY person in a tree with a noose around their neck to even insinuate that a black man could be President of The United States of America. We are now on the verge of having our first black President... Do yo think those people, some who could have been your ancestors were wrong? Do you think they may have taught their children wrong?

Regardless if we're talking about vaccines, autism and children in schools or if we're talking about racism... If you are taught ignorance... you will teach ignorance and know it to be true... this will ultimately be the fall of mankind...

Kaki King from the movie August Rush

So check this shit out... Evens and Odds

Why is it that the speedometer/ odometer reads even numbers and speed limits are typically set on odd numbers?

I'm sure you've heard of people getting a speeding ticket for going over the speed limit by 1mph. If I was in that situation I would bring up to the judge that the odometer reads on evens and the speed limit is odd, therefore it would be very difficult to go exactly the speed limit.

Maybe a great new invention would be a non-digital speedometer/ odometer which read on odd numbers or in incraments of 5? Who knows...

So, here's a question: If you were to drive your car in outer space at the speed of light and you turned your headlights on... would you see your headlights? And at that point, would it matter if your speedometer/ odometer read on odds or evens?

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://brianspointofview.blogspot.com/2008/07/speedometer-odometer-evens-and-odds.html' title='Speedometer/ Odometer... The only problem is, most of the riders have no clue what in the hell they are doing. So now we have some fucking idiots, who think it's cool to get a 400cc "Harley Wanna Be" or a GSXR 1000 for their 1st bike, who are making our roads unsafe. Here are some tips to keep you from crashing in front of me... The only reason I care if I hit you is I don't want you to dent my car...

Rule #1. DO NOT RIDE IN THE CENTER OF THE LANE YOU FUCKING DOLTS... Unless you like having your tires covered with road oil...

Rule #2. When you are at a stop-light... PUT YOUR DAMN RIGHT FOOT ON YOUR BRAKE AND KEEP IT THERE (If you can't do this because it's too hard, get off of the fucking road you moron.)

Rule #3. If you feel nervous or apprehensive about getting on the freeway... DON'T GO ON THE FUCKING FREEWAY!!!

Rule #4. Just because the California DMV decides that you are worthy of having a motorcycle license doesn't mean you're a safe ride on the street... It means you can go in a small circle and weave in and out of some cones... that's it... An inexperienced motorcycle rider on the freeway is kind of like a 65yr old man having sex with a girl on her 18th birthday... Just because it's legal doesn't make it right...

Rule #5. TAKE A MOTORCYCLE CLASS or HAVE AN EXPERIENCED RIDER TEACH YOU (More than 3 consecutive years of safe riding)

If you can't abide by these simple rules... Get off of the fucking roads you stupid fucking California motorcycle riders... Oh by the way... I've been riding for about 12 years and have NEVER dropped my bike because I use common sense.

Oh yeah... All of you fucking idiot in passenger cars... You need to make sure you watch where the fuck you are going and look for motorcycle riders... The reason the majority of California motorcycle riders get into accidents is because YOU AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION... Look out for us... A lot of your own kind are leaving the safety of their compacts and getting on the freeway... Wouldn't you feel bad if you ran over Bob from the water cooler?

San California

San California... Where does the "San" come from in front of the dozens of cities in California? I mean, we don't call California, Sanifornia, it would almost make more sense for San Diego to be called Cal Diego... it doesn't sound half bad... or Cal Juan Batista... or Cal Fransisco... Cal Jose... Cal Marcos, Cal Luis Obispo... At least if they were this way, we'd know where the "Cal" came from.

You know what really amazes me is how much pride people in San California take from their hometowns... I lived in Sea Side California which is just outside of Monterey California about 10 years ago. I saw a lot of tattoos of the area code "408" representing Sea Side and Cal Jose, representing their local area code, ese... I saw tattoos in Los Angeles reading "818"... in Oceanside of "714"... in Cal Diego of "619"...

The funniest thing happened in Sea Side... The area code got changed to "831" from "408"...

Oceanside went from "714" to "619" to "760"... and it's soon going to be changing to "442"...

So, the morel of this story... don't get a tattoo of your area code quite yet... there are less than 40 area codes left for the entire United States. They will all be used up by the end of 2009... Then you can move forward with a new area code tattoo...

San California pride... I tell you, there's nothing like it...

Introduction

Hello everyone who is reading this. The reason I decided to start this blog was so I can express my point of views on all the crap in the world that goes on.

A little about me, I'm 30yrs old... married to an amazing woman named Chrystal and we have a new baby girl named Zoë... she's going on 9 weeks. We live in La Costa CA, which is a community in Carlsbad... Carlsbad is about 30 miles north of San Diego.

Here's a little about my beliefs... As far as sports go, I like football and MMA. I was raised outside of Kansas City MO, so naturally I have a love for the Chiefs... but I've lived in San Diego going on 7 years now... I never plan to move back to the Midwest... so I support the Chargers 100%...

Politics... Yes... you will hear me go on some rants and raves... Fiscally speaking, I swing much closer to the Republican side... but socially speaking... I'm as liberal as they come... I think our government is corrupt and should be reorganized from top to bottom, basically reset... We have the technology available to do so.

Religion... Yeah, I'm not religious. I think God is an imaginary friend for grown ups. BUT... I do believe there is a thinking substance from which all things are made up from. Don't worry, I'll dive nice and deep into this topic.

Abortion... I'm a man... I have no right to say what any woman does with her body.

As far as Immigration goes... I can't be mad at a man who is trying to better himself... regardless if he's here legally or not. BUT... I can be mad at our government for allowing him to be here. I'm sure I'll piss a few people off with some of my thoughts on this... but I don't care...

There will be more to come.

Have a great day!
