<p>Robert Full shared some ideas on TED way back in February 2005.&#160; He shows some great research that was done in how certain critters can move so fast over such unstable mediums, such as screen, gravel, or vertically up a wall.</p>
<p> <object width="334" height="326"><param name="movie" value="http://video.ted.com/assets/player/swf/EmbedPlayer.swf"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><param name="bgColor" value="#ffffff"></param><param name="flashvars" value="vu=http://video.ted.com/talks/embed/RobertFull_2005-embed_high.flv&amp;su=http://images.ted.com/images/ted/tedindex/embed-posters/RobertFull-2005.embed_thumbnail.jpg&amp;vw=320&amp;vh=240&amp;ap=0&amp;ti=195" /><embed src="http://video.ted.com/assets/player/swf/EmbedPlayer.swf" pluginspace="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" bgColor="#ffffff" width="334" height="326" allowFullScreen="true" flashvars="vu=http://video.ted.com/talks/embed/RobertFull_2005-embed_high.flv&#038;su=http://images.ted.com/images/ted/tedindex/embed-posters/RobertFull-2005.embed_thumbnail.jpg&#038;vw=320&#038;vh=240&#038;ap=0&#038;ti=195"></embed></object>
<p>It’s definitely worth watching… maybe someone will create a running robot with some LEGO parts and some ideas from this video?&#160; If you do, send me a link!&#160; :)</p>

<p>Brick Bender has put together a short version of some writing styles.&#160; Here is a couple quotes, and then the link to the full article:</p>
<blockquote><p>-LEGO is always singular and should be used as a modifier/adjective; ie. LEGO bricks, LEGO elements, or LEGO parts.</p>
<p>-They are not blocks, they are bricks.</p>

<p>The answer, not surprisingly, is yes.&#160; I mean, after all… if a child can put these in their mouth (EWWW), then they are safe for the aquarium.</p>
<p>I wouldn’t go putting my electronics pieces in an aquarium.&#160; But I think you already knew that.&#160; :)</p>

<p>The first is for a great RobotC tutorial written by professor <a href="http://carrot.whitman.edu/">Albert Schueller</a> from Whitmore College.&#160; You can read <a href="http://mightor.wordpress.com/2009/05/14/robotc-tutorial/" target="_blank">Xander’s post here</a>, or download the <a href="http://carrot.whitman.edu/Robots/notes.pdf" target="_blank">RobotC Tutorial PDF</a> directly.</p>
<p>Xander also writes drivers for RobotC.&#160; He’s recently updated his project page, to show the new drivers and what they cover.&#160; You can see the <a href="http://rdpartyrobotcdr.sourceforge.net/" target="_blank">RobotC Drivers here</a>.</p>
<p>And, if you are interested in using RobotC, you can purchase a license, or read more on the official <a href="http://www.robotc.net/" target="_blank">RobotC website</a>.&#160; They do have a 30 day trial.</p>
