TSL Professional Products Ltd., manufacturer of hardware and software audio monitoring, tally and power management products for the broadcast industry, is pleased to announce that the BBC will soon be taking delivery of over 40 of its PAM2 multi-channel audio monitoring units to provide standardized monitoring capabilities across its Olympic broadcast facility within the International Broadcast Centre (IBC). Forty-six PAM2 units, supplied by Dega Broadcast Systems, will sit across numerous operator positions in the temporary facility for the duration of the games, including the BBC’s VT editing suites and playout desks, main MCR, three main TV galleries and the commentary line-up area. HARMAN’s Studer Hosts Product Seminar in Jakarta

JARKARTA, Indonesia – Indonesian distributor for HARMAN’s Studer, PT. Kinarya Swarna Indonesia, recently organized a Studer product seminar for the radio broadcast industry. Held in the Sari Pan Pacific Hotel Jakarta on April 25, 2012 the seminar was attended by over 70 Indonesian broadcast professionals.

The Seminar showcased the Studer OnAir console range with a focus on the new Studer OnAir 1500 mixing console. The Studer OnAir 2500 mixing console was also displayed.

Studer Regional Sales Director, Keith Prestidge and Sales Engineer, Yee Tat Nam presented a technical overview of all Studer products. Digital radio system design was also covered with discussions covering audio networking and studio workflow and control connectivity.

TV4 Launches Sweden’s First 24/7 News Channel with Mosart

The AVDELAY 3G audio/video delay from Crystal Vision has been designed to deal with large lip-sync problems on incoming 3Gb/s, HD or SD signals containing up to four groups of embedded audio. With up to ten seconds of independently adjustable video and audio delay available, it can be used to correct big timing differences between the video and audio paths. AVDELAY 3G is a unique one-board solution that replaces separate audio and video delays, making it both more cost-effective and easier to control.

Red TX Revamps Its Popular RED I Mobile Recording Truck

Broadcast sound specialist Red TX has completely rebuilt its RED I mobile recording unit to bring it up to the same specifications as RED II, which was refurbished last year.

The interior of RED I has been transformed and an internal wall has been moved to create more space for the audio engineers and clients. New PMC ALM 1 active 7.1 surround sound monitoring has been installed and the acoustics and insulation have been improved to ensure that those working on board are not distracted by external noise.

Ian Dyckhoff, managing director of Red TX, says: “Having two state of the art trucks on the road has allowed us to increase workflow and offer clients the very latest audio for broadcast technology. With all popular record formats available, the truck is well equipped to handle any audio challenge.”
