On monday we will be sending off to get our appostilled marriage licenses.(**needing 2 copies)
Turn in remaining referrences, employer letter and financial statements.
Next we should be able submit proofs of our HS to our agency for approval so we can get
our final Notarized HS.
Once our FINAL notarized HS is in hands we will be able to began our I800A advance processing.
This will give us the clearance through immigrations. This will be our Golden Ticket to be able to submit our dossier to Bulgaria. :O))))

Once our dossier is in Bulgaria it will be reviewed, translated, notarized and prepared for MOJ.This will be done by our attorney Antonya.
At the MOJ it is reviewed and hopefully no other documents will be needed.
Next we will then receive a verbal approvale for our invitation of acceptance and shortly afterwards a written travel date.

And our document wil be submitted in Mid May or June 1st. Hoping to travel end of July or early August for first trip. This should give us a court date before the end of this year and our adoption should be final 10 days later. Making our next travel date in early 2013 to pick up our children..

sit and talk to her. And also play with her trying to reasure her it is okay to venture around and explore
her home. The first few months her mobilty made it difficult for her to walk and after she had been fitted for braces she was able to walk longer distances. Day by day she soon adjust to our family and us learned we were going be forever in her life.

I recall the day we went to pick her up. She scream in fear of not knowing what was going to happen.
The orphanage workers explained to her several weeks prior she was adopted and had a father and mother coming to bring her to a new home. But yet she feared leaving her orphanages. This was Chrissie's only home for 5 years and the caregivers were her family as well as the other children that had remained. Each of her caregivers and also her Granny from the Granny Program loved her and adored her. Prior to our arrival the prior day they gave her a going away party with cake and presents.
we were given several photos of her as a young child and her records of being baptisted in the church. All of these things and her small yellow toothbrush we placed in a box for her so at a later date we can show her. As she walked down the stairs from her orphanage one last time tears flowed as we carried our Chrissie back to our hotel. It was only a 2 or so hour back to Sofia where we stopped off to get her Visa and passport photos. Shortly she began to smile as she played with Patrick. Having Patrick near he made it easier for her to adjust once we had return to our hotel Budapest. And for the nexy coupld of days we visited Sofia and prepared to journey back to the US. And then to our hometown Louisiana.

She is our little sweetie and we just could not imagine our life without Chrissie in it.

How we decided on Chrissie's name.
Her given name at birth from her birth parents was Christiana and the caregivers at the orphanage called her Chrissie. And this nickname has stuck with our entire family. After her adoption we named her Sarah after my dear from Sarah Lubbock and Christiana after her given name and Michaila as her middle name. Sarah-Christiana Michaila Davis. Having the third name had made it difficult at first with her passport but they were able to fit all the names on. As well as her social security card they just put Sarah C.M. Davis A alot of wonderful names for such a wonderful little girl.

I was told the light between each cloud was heaven looking down on us.

Sad to say so many young children go to heaven. Many of them are unknown and living in orphanages.
Throughout the years I visited with many children some healthly but most of them sick and dying.
Probably one of the worse memories was when I held a child as it died.
Knowing even with prayers there was nothing I could do at this one moment.
Life is fragile.
And some people take life for grant.
Some people take children for grant.
Life is precious.
And each child precious.
Even the children yet still in the womb.
For they are precious and a gift from God.
So why if life is so great and precious.
And children are a gift we watch and let them die?
I was ask by my social worker during our adoption.
"What if after you traveled, adopted and then your child died?"
I do not think of death.
I think only of living.
Living each day with God beside me.
It is God's decision not mine.
I am a mother and a mother who loves her children.
Whether they are healthy or ill I will mother and love them.
I pray that Braska and Zach stay healthy so we can bring them both home.
Each night I hold them in my heart as I do through out the day.
I ask God for his guidance in bringing them home.
I ask anyone reading to consider adopting a child.
As you walk outside look into the clouds.
You will find the answer on what you feel you should do.
If you can not adopt help a child whether by donating to their adoption.
Or just mentor a child, tell them how special they are, hug them, kiss them and tell them you love them.

text-align: center;">
What beautiful cool weather we are having besides all of the rain that comes and goes.

Daily I look at the sky here in Louisiana trying to figure out just what type of day we will be having.

Just how to dress the children for school each day without them freezing or burning up.

I remember as a child growing up in Selma Alabama each day was hot.

Many of these days we neverworn shoes or socks and if we did it was to go to town or to church.

On saturday's we went to the market to sell our grandmother's vegetables

and in the winter it was pecans or cotton.

We road in the back of an old teal blue Ford pickup truck on top of some hay.

Honestly with us children being there while my grandmother sold their crops

she sold more to people checking out her vegetables.

Yes I picked cotton and peas and had the many times bisters on my feet from walking the fields.

No I did have a hard childhood this was my life as a child to work hard.

And as young as I can remember I spent the summers

and after school hours with my grandmother and grandfather.

Like most TV shows where you see the Waltons

or Little House on the Praire we worked as children to help our parents.

Every family around our family in the country had large families.

And many times most women had child after child.

Not like today where most families have just the one or two children.

Over the years I have heard comments from others that they wanted

smaller families with less children.

This way they can give them more with a better education and the finer things in life.

I was not spoiled as a child nor did I get an education given to me through my parents.

As a child I received three meals and if I was still hungry I was able to go in the garden and pick out a watermelon or pick and apple or pear from a tree.

My only clothing came from flour or fed sacks which my grandmother had made.

And a few times a year my mother would purchase us each new shoes and a dress for church.

Each of us children received an abundance of love from two hard working parents.

My grandfather was a Baptist preacher and my grandmother full cherokee indian.

As my grandmother mother and grandmother before her they grew up on a reservation.
Hard to believe I am a fourth indian.
With the blue eyes and blondle hair from my father and grandfather I show
no appearance in looking like an indian.
Many nights I would tell my children stories of my childhood I spend with my grandparents.
Story after story from my from my grandmother and grandfather of their younger years.
If they were both alive today they would be well pass a hundred.
My grandmother never once cut her hair nor did she ever wear pants.
No pants of any types.
Her hair was braided and only let down and night to sleep.
I remember her combing through her thick black hair as a child.
And as the years had passed it thinned and greyed with age.
She smelled of gardenias and flour from her cooking.
During the time she was not cooking or cleaning she sewed.
Many things by hand until she received a trendal sewing machine.
Everything she maded was from a feedsack.
There were panties, dresses, curtains and quilts.
On the end of my bed laids a quilt close to 100 years old
maded by her and her mother.
Each small stitch was done by hand and each piece of material
carefully cut into a pattern.
Alot of work and love went into this quilt.
And I can vision them both sitting near one another sewing and talking.
My grandmother believed every person had a spirit within their soul.
And with this spirit determination and pride.
She borne 14 children and well over 70 grandchildren.
My grandfather I remember each and every sunday he would preach to us children.
A man of fire and brimstone type of preacher.
His hands were rough an callus as he worked his fields.
And nightly would widdle his work work.
He would make each of us children toys and wooden spoons to cook with.
There were the nights we would all gather together.
Cousins, aunts and uncles playing the banjo and fiddle.
Dancing, singing and laughter.
No amount of money could have changed these moments in my life.
There were nights as I tired I would rest my head on my grandmother's lap.
As she sang to me and kissed my head I knew my grandmother loved me.
As a grandmother now myself I love to hold my grandchildren and yes sing to them.
I can not sing but I can sew and I do not use patterns.
I just look at the material cut and go to sewing using my heart.
I guess alot like my life I think with my heart instead of my head.
Not that I am a dumb blondle by all means.
Just there are days I have an air head.
Honestly I have alway's been a little bit of a dreamer.
But not the type of dreamer that just dreams
I do what I dream and make it happen.
As I see these two small children.
I think to myself what are each of their dreams.
Even as a very small child we dream.
Some dreams may not be good ones and others we hold in our thoughts.
Thoughts and wonders of life.
Yes I dream about my children for it is kinda hard not to.
Even though I have photos of my children through out our house.
I dream of them each night as I think of them each during the day.
Like the many dreams I had before on each of my children.
These dreams have came true and my children had made it home.
I pray each night for my children and for our new children Braska and Zach.
Soon their will be closure to dreaming for these two children and they
will also both be home.
I will be able to hold them, kiss them and sing to them at night.
Neither child will ever have to work a field in the early morning.
But I will have them beside me as I work my flower garden.
And watch them each grow with my flowers.
So praying in 8 weeks or less we will have done our bio-metric fingerprints and receive our
approval. Meanwhile we are gathering up and updating documents.. So it will not be long now
till we are able to submit our dossier to be registered at the MOJ. Once submitted we will be able
to count down the days to see our little ones. Words can not express how I am feeling knowing in
just a few months we will be able to hold our little ones. Daily we see their small faces on photos
we have through out our home. Dreaming about how it will feel to be able to final kiss and hug each of them. Please I ask for your prayers for our little ones through these winter months.
Currently it is below freezing and I worry for their health.
I also ask for prayers for each of my friends that are adopting and traveling in Bulgaria visiting
their children.. May they stay safe and healthy...

Today I spent most of the early morning rearranging rooms and packing and unpacking boxes.
Trying to save every nickle we can at the moment and not spend any funds we do not have to.
So we are holding out on buying anything for the new little ones. So I am going make a few things here and there to keep me busy. We all took a vote and decided to do little Zach's bed in Sock Monkeys. And been checking different websites on sock monkey items. And I came across some nice quilts and thought to start on him So I surge and order some sock monkey material that was on sale and also started on making him a sock monkey. Little Zach will be our 6th son and soon to be youngest of the boys. Little Braska will be our youngest of the girls. So both children will be very spoil and we will enjoy getting to watch them as they grow and learn new things.

Okay today I have been trying to organize a yardsale. So in the near future we will be able to raise some much needed funds for our first trip. We should be traveling at the end of July or first part of August so time will pass us quickly so not alot of time to save the needed funds. So we will need to fundraise and pray for sponsors. Late at night I knit snuggle hats and this next weekend will work on selling a few.. If these hats do not sell I can alway's donate them during one of our trips. You can get your snuggle hat with a donation and shipping fees of $4.95.. Each one is handmade and made with love:O) Just click the clip in buttons and tell me where to ship you a hat. These are really cute little hats...... :O)

Okay back to our first trip :O)

Breakdown of fees for First Trip

All funds raise on Reeces Rainbow we will be able to use during our second trip.
So we must raise the funds for first trip separately and donations can be done through our Chip In Button. Also we are needing air miles for Delta Airlines that can be transferred to our family. Again I ask everyone to keep both Braska and Zach in your prayers...

So Hoping next we can finish up preparing the last of the documents and drive to Baton Rouge for appostilles. There will be an adopting family traveling at this time so we will ask them to hand carry our dossier directly to our attorney. This will save us alot of time and funds.. Shipping documents can cost as much as $300.00 or so. Last year we had to send two pieces of paperwork which cost $170.00 through FEDEX. So when you see a FEDEX truck think of the money that they make on shipping documents alone.
Once in Bulgaria our attorney will translate, notarize and file with MOJ for the VM to view.. Depending on the VM schedule we should hear verbal something within a month or so.
Thinking maybe first trip will be in July or early August.. Again just thinking and hoping..
We are just praying for a court date before christmas. All the court documents after our adoption will not be ready until after the first of the year. This makes us not be able to pick up the children until after February. There is a little paperwork between first and second trip so this will give us time to prepare the final touches on their room and purchase them some clothes.

This weekend I was able to find some sock monkey pictures for our little guy Zach's room.
And I have started on making him a sock monkey bed set.
Little Braska we are doing her bedding in Ladybugs.
I can not wait to share what all I made for the both of the children.
With all the clothes and little dresses left from Chrissie she will have a bunch of larger size clothes.
Just needing to mainly to buy for Zack but not sure just how big he is or Braska is yet..
Oh how I can not wait for our first trip to see and hold the children.

So sad to say without treatments, medication and therapy both Braska & Zach will live a very painful childhood and die an early death. After hours of contacting doctors we have decided no matter what may occur in both these children's future we are going keep our committment to both these precious children. Hard to accept that both children live in pain and suffer but it is up to our family in bringing the both of them home. We have been contacting area specialist and specialist in major cities nearby to be prepared to
be medically ready when the both children arrive home. Praying we are able to have our court hearing before Christmas so we are able to bring them both home shortly after the first of the year.

We have been preparing their room and will be obtaining the breathing machines and equipment prior to their arrival. Therapy will be necessary several times per day so we are seeking outside help for in home therapy till both of the children adjust. I ask that you keep both Braska and Zach in your prayers that they stay healthy through these winter months.

I also ask and pray that you share our blog with others. We are desperately needing airline miles and donations for our travel. Adoption is costly and we are needing sponsors to help us bring these little ones home... God Bless The Davis Family

When I look into their faces I see a future but a future with facing obstacles in life. Not that we don't all face day to day challenges but the challenges that are involved make take a little longer and the work at completing some what harder. Today as I read this story of this one small penquin I thought of my children and their challenges. And after reading this story it places in my mind the struggles that are involved to survive with all life of being born differently than others. In my heart
I advocate for all people with physical and mental challenges and their day to day struggles. I also hope and pray one day that all people see in their eyes being a tad bit different is not a punishment or that it is placing a stigna to all with differences.
She would stop and think and then take another small bite. Next she would move on to the next pieces of cake.
Cake after cake and then she kept going back to the same cake. It's perfect she told me over and over and still thinking if this was the right cake. During this time all I could think of was Zach and Braska. I thought about little Braska's photo I had in my wallet that was placed next to Zach's. Thinking one day little Braska would also be a bride chosing her cake. Being that she is only two years old and also one day she will also want to be a bride. But with little Braska's health condition, the conditions in her orphanage it may not be that she make it through this winter more or less live to be an adult and marry. As I view the small photos of her I can not help but think of her today. Just maybe she is playing with a baby doll or is she ill from the cold weather? Braska's older brother Zach is age 3 years and is the same size as Braska. Both children very small for their ages and very malnutrious and fragile. Two children I barely know but I carry their small photos each day and hold each of them in my heart. I know I am their mother and it is now up to me to help bring them home. So each day I will pray and advocate for them both. And each day I ask others to pray also for these children. Gary and I are ask repeatly why we chose to adopt and also why we chose children with disabilites. What a tough question to answer. It is not because they are disable we see hope in each of these children's eyes and in their small faces. The hope to have a chance to live and have a family to love them.

Champagne wedding cake
This is the flavor Samantha choose for her wedding cake. After tasting cake after cake I did not know that there were that many cakes, frostings, and fillings to chose from. :O) They all tasted good some a little better than the others but good. Take it from someone who loves sweeties I think cake is one of my favorites next to chocolate. Funny how the taste of a cake can make someone smile so happily.
I see it in my daughter's eyes and the smile on her face. Or maybe it is knowing she will be marrying her love, her best friend and soon to be husband. In five months she will be Mrs.Matthew Ashenbrenner. A June Bride with a smiling face. :O) As I watched Samantha write down her soon to be name over and over. I thought again of Braska and Zach. What their new names were to be?
We want them to have a new start, a fresh start and know that they are loved. And also have a family who loves them and will be there to hold them when they are ill. Our family is not the only family who blogs about their adoptions. It is the excitement and happiness of knowing that there will be an blessed event. And everyone wants to share their happiness and good news of their new little ones. It is the unity of a family with children in the love that comes from within the heart.

Oh I almost forgot :O)
One more trip back to the police station and we got two more sets each of fingerprints for our State
Clearance. Now all we need to do is wait or our FBI clearances to arrive so we can complete our
So it is back to the police station for some

additional prints. Believe I don't mind getting the fingerprints just having to go inside a police

station and have others watch as you get printed. If people only knew how much paperwork, clearances and fingerprints that have to be done. So with this adoption Gary and I will do three sets each. Our local police station thank goodness is waving the charges or this would be another 85.00

or $170.00 for the both of us. Today I found out most families FBI clearances were taking 8 weeks so

on January 11th it will be 2 months for us. It has been two years since we had been printed for Chrissie and now we are back to compiling and gathering paperwork. If we could just get by the paperwork stage I can breath a little easier and then focus on fundraising our adoption. Just so much

to do and the time will pass quickly. With our adoption with Chrissie we committed in May 2010 and adoption was final on March 17th and we were able to pick her up on May 4th. So hoping to have all documents ready by June to submit in July and travel in September and hoping court by December.

Hoping to travel in February or early March to bring the kids home. Again this is if all paperwork

is accepted and there is no additional paperwork needed like with our Chrissie's adoption needing a

document stating Gary and I were still married and our marriage was stable.. First time we ever had to

have a document drawn up for an adoption. Again hoping our FBI clearance arrives quickly so we can finish up our our Homestudy and submit our I800A to Immigrations for approval. Keeping our fingers crossed things move along smoothly. My prayers are for Braska and Zach tonight and also my little ones here at home.....

And also that we were able to spend time with the entire family. I only wished everyday was Christmas and family could be together each day. But as the kids have grown older it is hard for everyone to be together as we wished.

PAPERWORK FIRST***
Currently we are still waiting on our FBI fingerprint clearance so we can attach these to our Immigrations I800A. Next hoping to get a date for our the next set of bio-metric fingerprints for Immigrations. Fingerprints after fingerprints, police clearances-state-local-federal, child abuse
clearances and to think we have done this with 4 adoptions and 5 children now they might just
keep us on some sort of file.

CHILDREN'S MEDICAL***
Not only having to wait for paperwork to be completed we have Chrissie's CT to decide when to
place in her shunt and remove excess fluid. Being that she is older we were told it would be more
difficult for her. And also having to travel out of our area to have this done. Since our visit with
Chrissie's neurologist I have been worried and I can not wait to we find out what needs to be done.
With Chrissie's CT being done the same day as Makayla's neurologist appointment we will do Chrissie's CT first and then head over to Makayla's appointment. This will be the day we also
find out what we are going do about Makayla's brain tumors. At this time her doctor should be scheduling Makayla for her next CT and MRI. We are to return again a few weeks later for Chrissie's result and date for her surgery and also Patrick's check up with his neurologist.. Thank God they all
3 see the same neurologist but unfornuately all on different days and months. Trying to get this
doctor in seeing two of the children during the same trip so we are traveling quiet so often. Wishing also we could receive some sort of family discount having 3 children with NEURO problems.
Traveling several times in a month is costly and over night stays add up quickly. So we budget in our monthly budget a fourth of our income goes to the children's medical needs and trips.
So we are praying in all heart we can get each child back on track and the medical does not seem so overwhelming. This week we have a Urologist appointment for Chrissie's and then back to Shiners to have them refit her braces. Last month both Patrick and Makayla had their Shiners appointments and do not have to return for another couple of months. During Christmas the children had their 6 month check ups and they were all doing great beside their neuro, ortho and uro problems. I wished there
were one week without an appointment or medical test. I am still battling my upper resp. infection.
It got so bad it settled into pneumia in my chest and many nights I could not sleep or get any rest. Then next get up to get the kids reaady for school or an appointment. Sad to say many of the appointments were during parties and school plays so maybe next year we can get them super healthy
so they can enjoy parties with their friends. Patrick is still being followed for the catarat on his right eye and now is back wearing his glasses during the day hours.

SAMANTHA'S WEDDING***
As the days are getting closer we are still preparing for my daughter's Samantha's wedding in June.
It has been nice to be able to share in the planning on such a beautiful day of my daughter's life. Watching her try on dress after dress and chosing flowers, shoes hard to believe my daughter has grown up. Shortly before Samantha was born we were told my husband Tim was dying of cancer and there was nothing left to do but wait. Even though we had treatment after treatment his body just would not responded and his organs were failing. My sweet husband Tim died on December 4th, 1989. Tim was one of the kindest people I had ever been fornuate to know and love. Tim loved his children and was a wonderful husband and father. In my heart I will hold his love forever.

Today I was in the grocery store picking up some Rx's and a few items I watched as a mother and her two younger children passed by. A little boy and girl about 3 or so and the mother shaking her head just a fussing at them for opening up some animal cookies. I had to watch as she placed all the half eaten cookies back in the package so she could pay for them. As she counted her money she was short just a few dollars. Knowing she needed the milk and cereal she had to put back something. It was to late for the cookies so she looked in her bags for something to take out. Standing back in line I had been chatting with her children and I had to say to her. You know I am adopting two little ones just like your children. I wish I could buy my two little ones cookies today but they are so far away so if it would be okay could I help you and pay for these cookies. So I handed the cashier the difference on her bill. She told me the cookies did not cost that much and she wanted my number so she could repay me. I had to tell her seeing her children smiling and eating those cookies was enough payment. I thought of Braska and Zach and wanted to tell her how my heart had been thinking of our own two little ones in Bulgaria. And that there were some days I thought about what they were doing and what it would be like to finally get to hold them in my arms. As I started to leave I ran back in the store and
brought Chrissie some animal cookies for her snacks after dinner. As I headed in the door and unpacked my grocery bags Chrissie held up the cookies and I told her she had to wait after dinner.
As she carefully placed them back on the table I watched her eyes as she touched the bag and counted
the small cookies inside with her smal fingers. A small smile would pop on her face as she told me how she loved cookies with animals on them. And also how when she was in the orphanage they got cookies with animals. Soon she began to name each animal one by one. Okay as I served her dinner I placed on top on her plate a couple of animal cookies. Oh how I love seeing those little smiles. I wonder if I will ever see that young momma again and her children. I also wonder to myself will I get to see Braska and Zach. My heart is there and I know I am their mother. I pray some how things will work out in getting the needed funds for our adoption. And also that everyone stays healthy and well.
As I sit typing and munching on a few animal cookies I think of my children.

What a lucky momma I am :O))))

This neurologist was suppose to be one of the best in the country so we traveled out of town to have him exam Chrissie.

We were told Chrissie did not have a shunt placed in her head shortly after she was born nor was there ever a shunt placed. Fluid had been increasing in her head and if shunt had been placed she would not have this problem. We will be returning in two weeks for a CT of her brain. The neurologist wants to review her CT with the neuro-surgeon and see when she will need surgery and have her shunt placed.
Lately Chrissie has been losing her balance and we had thought that it was from her weakness in her legs but now we are told it may be an neurological problem. And this may be the reason why she is so unsteady when trying to walk. You can tell by her forehead it is fairly large in the frontal area. Lately she has been trying to walk more now that she has her braces. This week we are going keep her braces off and she will be having to stay in a wheelchair until the doctor can figure out what to do next.

It tears me apart knowing Chrissie is going have to have surgery on her brain.
Makayla and Patrick also both see a neurologist.
Makayla for her NF1 and Beckweiderman Syndrome, these combinations of two different syndrome
causes tumors through out Makayla body and presently she is dealing with 26 brain tumors.
And Patrick for his epilesy and seizures. Patrick takes medication to control his seizures but there are days he still has seizures that make him weak.
So many of my days are spent caring the children to clinics and providing medical care.
I am so thankful we have the children with us so they can receive the medical they need.
Like with Braska and Zach both children also have health issues.
They both have CF Cystic Fibrosis and it is hard for them both to breath and endure alot of pain.
I thank God for medical insurance and family to help us in caring for the children.
I also pray we can bring Braska and Zack home before their health gets any worse.
Sad to say money is the issue in most adoptions. And we have learned this with all of our adoptions
it adds up quickly. I am working hard at saving to bring them home but with Chrissie having next to have surgery we will have to travel out of town for her care. So please I ask you to share our blog so we can raise the funds we need for Braska and Zach. I can not see two more children left to suffer
when we can help them get the medical attention they will need to survive, yes survive.
Changes are if both Zach and Braska re not adopted they both will suffer during their childhood and possibly die in their early years of life. Each of these children deserve a chance, a home and a family.

In my heart I pray each day for my children.
There are many days I have to turn to God and ask for his help.
Knowing I have children with servre medical issues I ask him to keep me well so I can take care of them and love them. Please I ask for your help in return to share our blog with others for sponsors
and donations for Braska and Zach. You can send a payment directly through www.paypal.com
to our family pay account nachalaadopt@hotmail.com for Braska and Zach.

We are still in the stages of dossier preparation and Immigrations approval. And intial funds are high so I ask for direct donations so we can use to send our dossier. Or you can donate to our Reeces Rainbow account so when we travel a button is attached our our blog. We are listed in Reeces Rainbow under the Davis Family of Louisiana for Braska and Zach. www.reecesrainbow.org

God Bless you and thank you...

So far with paperwork :O))) our child abuse clearances should arrive by late January or early February. Our completed homestudy and the FBI fingerprint clearances we need before we can began immigration process. **SO :O))) Next step we will be filing for our I800A. The I800A will take about 6 to 7 weeks for us to receive a date for our fingerprints. A week or so later we should receive our advance approval to proceed with our dossier. Hoping to have everything complete and ready to ship our dossier by June 1st 2012. Mean while we will be saving and a saving for trip one. Cost $808.00 two visas for children, hotel for 6 to 7 days $800.00-$900.00, & airline tickets for two $3,000-$5,000 depending on time of travel. So roughly $5,000 & $6,000 for agency ($11,000 needed by August 2012)

Second trip $5,000 remainder of agency fees, airlines $6,000 and hotels one week $1200.
Estimate $12,200.00 to $15,000

So grand total as of this moment needing to save and raise is $23,200.00 to $25,200.00 for these two precious children. There is not a day I do not worry about the money we need to complete our adoption. I keep thinking over and over that these children need a home, a family and plenty of kisses and hugs from a momma and poppa. Please add our little ones to your prayers. Send our blog to others in hopes for sponsors and donations. We will take pennies, nickles anything. Every cent counts during an adoption. I pray each night for a miracle and I know God will lead us in finding the necessary funds. May your New Year be blessed. :O)))

I do not know who you are but this will help both Zach and Braska in their adoption. We will not be able to use these funds until we are in Bulgaria so we will be using this towards their both medical exams. Each exam costs $51.00 American $$$ and this will help out alot. We have so much to raise and for different parts of our adoption. But I want you to know just where the funds will be used and just how thankful I am for your kindness in thinking of our little ones.
Again thank you and God bless :O)))
Through out Christmas night to the following day it slowly little by little dropped. Still at 235 he remains in the hospital yes a miracle he is alive. I still have not recovered from almost losing my father and now my stepfather. The following day I had received an email from a friend on a young boy Ben Breedlove age 18 years. As I weep when I watched his video. Ben struggled with heart problems his entire life much like many of these children who are waiting to be adopted. Watching him as he held up postcard after postcard and yet he smiled. He knew his time was limited on our earth. On Christmas day he died from his heart problems but lefted a deeep message inside for everyone and I also think me.

This last couple of weeks I felt useless. I am not a fundraiser yet I challenge once again to raise funds for Braska and Zach's adoption. Knowing we had little funds available to adopt I knew inside we could raise the needed and save what we could.. Also knowing that these children needed a home and I could not let them down. CF is a hard condition for children to have and many of them die at early years in life. People ask me why i have placed myself once again with another special needs child knowing that that they may die. I honestly can not see these children struggling alone with CF and without parents. My husband Tim died in 1992 and suffered greatly for two years in pain. Each day he would thank me for being there for him. How could I not be there for I loved him dearly and he was my love. People die everyday alone and many of them children. Imagine being ill and noone there to hold you and comfort you. I just could not and will with all my might help in whatever way I can to make these children comfortable. With treatment and therapy both of them will be able to breath a little easier and be in less pain. Also knowing they will have a father and mother to hold them as they hurt they will never be alone. I know I can not save the world for I am told I can not do it. But you know I can try and not what I can and if I do not suceed I will die trying.

I look at our account on Reeces Rainbow daily and it remains at $75.00. I post daily on FB and twitter for help but it seems everyone else is like me trying to survive daily. During the holidays I watch others with buggies full of things as I know this year we are limited to just an item or so for each child. This Christmas like the ones prior we are saving for our adoption. Through out the year I buy little by little things on sell for the children so when holidays arrive I have gifts but the biggest gift is knowing that a child will have a home and a family. People sometime take family for granted and figure there is alway's tommorrow. As I wondered during the holidays what Braska and Zach were doing. For a two and three year old life is simple but for an orphan it is just another day of being alone. My father spoke to me last night what it was like when he was a child. He was also an orphan and alone. He never spoke to us children about his life until the last few years. His life was hard and also it was not what I would have wished for him. As he spoke I thought of Braska and Zach and also the cold weather they are enduring. With cold weather brings colds and breathing issues. Both of them being underweight and malnutrious staying well will be hard. Medical care is very limited and costly and unfornuately sometimes the smaller children do not survive the winter months. When we first met Patrick in 2002 he was only a little over 8 pounds at age 2 years. Mostly skin and bones his skin thin and pale. Never have I seen a child in such poor shape yet he was only one of many. This is in alot of countries where children give up and stop fighting to live. Why fight when there is nothing to fight for? I pray each day for a miracle and sponsors. Yes our family needs help in bringing these children home for adoption is costly. We have great medical insurance once they are here but that does not help them where they are. I have faith and God will guide me in the direction of just what to do. As I budget and budget I am one step closer much like our paperwork preparation one piece or day at a time we will get things completed. I decided this time not to cry and worry for I ask God for help during this time. Each day I decided to say to myself I believe, I believe....

I am sorry I had not posted in the last couple of days but my heart has been filled with the thoughts of this young man who lives just a state away. I did not know Ben until I watch his video and shortly afterwards my heart has been filled with prayer for his family. Ben died on christmas day after his heart had failed. This last couple of years heart conditions have touched my family after losing my mother, brother-in-law Karl, sister Kathy and many of my friends little children. Many of my friends off of Reeces Rainbow children also have children who face the same heart conditions that Ben had. Nightly I pray for each of my friend's children and I hold each child in my heart. Having a child that has an illness is hard on a parent. And even harder for the child when he or she has no parent to love them. Why Gary and I decided to adopt Braska and Zach. Both children have CF and need medical care. And without it they will also die.

I hope you watched Ben's video and at the end I pray and hope you answer his question with your heart. Do you believe? I do.:O)) I believe with all my heart.....

Somewhere on the other side of the world waits two little stars
The blue one is for our little Zach
& the pink one is for our little Charlie "Braska"

Hard to believe just last year we waited to bring Chrissie home.
Yes I wondered what she did at Christmas.
Was she held and loved?
Did she know it was Christmas?
And did she know that someone also loved her?
Not every child will have a Christmas.
And not every child or adult knows the true meaning of Christmas.
Christmas is the birth of our savior Jesus Christ.
And through his blessings we are forever thankful.

I wonder what Chrissie is thinking as we place the two small stars above her head.
Did she know that each star is filled with a dream.
And that each star is filled with love for both Zach and Little Charlie-Braska.

What beauty and love lays inside this one small child.
Just look in her eyes.
What do you see?
If you knew in your heart you could make a difference in a child's life would you?
Or would you walk away and turn your turn your head?
You problem hear these words alot from adopting families ask for help.
And still what did you do?

If a stranger on the street ask you for a dollar what would you do?
Would you say no or would you give him five?
Would you walk away wondering what if?
What if you had given a dollar?
Would it make a difference for this person?
Unless you are in this person shoes you will never know.
In many cases fundraising is the only way some families can adopt.
In our situtation we have saved but it is not enough.
Like with most families adopting the cost of adopting a child is costly.
How can you place a price on a childs life?

This time of the year we shop for the perfect gift.
Then why not give a gift of a donation to an family adopting
as a gift for your friend or a family member?
Through your kind donation you will be assisting a family
bring

Two of our adopted children Patrick and Makayla would have died if not adopted.
Both with serious illnesses.
Makayla is battling brain tumors and is one of 8 people in the world living with her illnesses.
Patrick has CP, Epilesy, ADHD, Aspergers and sufferes daily with seizures.
Prior to being adopted they both suffered in pain daily much like Zach and Charlie now do.
Both Makayla and Patrick were orphans and now have a home and a family whom love them.
Zach and Braska also need to be given this same opportunity and we need your help.

Zach and Charlie "little Braska" need a Christmas miracle.
Could you please share our blog with others in hopes for donations.
Miracles do come true.
Ask Patrick, Makayla, Chrissie and every child who has been adopted.
Support adoption this Christmas
Support an Family adopting
Save a child from suffering and living their lives as orphans
God Bless

Amazing how one small child could

And to think little Zach is just a few years
younger than Christian
