Hello Dolls! Sorry I have been away so long. The last few months have been busy, not to mention cold and drying to my skin. Don’t you just hate it when your skin starts getting flaky in the winter? Mine does and exfoliating only gets a certain amount of dead skin off. For the last couple weeks, I have been using the MB Seaweed Night Cream before I go to bed and it has kept my face moisturized and free of dry patches. I love being able to touch my face and not having it feel all grainy. Just soft and smooth skin!

The cream comes in a white jar and holds 1oz of product. The cost is $20. Don’t be alarmed with the price, a little goes a long way. I just place 5 small dabs on my face and work it in…forehead, chin, cheeks and nose. The cream is green in color and smells fresh and clean.

Here are the ingredients:
Deionized Water, Bladderwrack Extract,Polyglycerylmethacrylate,Stearic Acid,Isopropyl Myristate,Cetyl Alcohol,Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Elastin, Hyaluronic Acid,Collagen,Propylparaben,Triethanolamine,Methylparaben,Benzoic Acid,Imidazolidinyl Urea

Woke up this morning and decided my face needed a nice and quick pick me up. So, I decided to try a Faifia Facial Mask. The mask I put on was the Green tea mask, which helps keep the skin looking clean and clear. Applying the mask was very easy, since it is one of those mask sheets. It comes in a fairly large moist packet, and is saturated with the green tea and other ingredients…listed at the bottom of the post. The mask is folded in half and stays intact when removed, thanks to the thrifty plastic divider between the fold.

After applying the mask, I left it on for 20 min and then lightly tapped the soft sheet on my face to spread the ingredients on one last time. My face felt velvety smooth, fresh, clean and toned after applying the mask. It was easier than applying a mud mask and definitely much cleaner. The packets can easily be thrown into a weekend bag and taken on trips or sleep overs. The packets are a bit long and would have to be folded in half to fit into smaller purses, so a bigger bag is better.

I like that the Faifia Collection carries many different masks such as cucumber, collagen, aloe, seaweed, vita white, herbs and red ginseng. Each mask does something different for your skin and I love it when there are different masks to play with.

The Facial masks will be available for purchase from Vanya Skin Care, which will launch on October 7. You can find more information on Vanya here. Facial masks will cost 2$ and up, which is real cheap. For more information on the Green tea mask click here.

How to use:

1. Wash your face

2. Shake the packet a few times and take out a facial mask sheet and carefully unfold it

3. Apply it on your face (it is easy to know which direction it should be put on your face)

4. Wait for about 20 minutes and then dispose of it (even though the essence is still there)

Reason: If you leave it on for too long, the mask sheet will reabsorb the content.

5. Gently pat your face so your skin can absorb the essence remained on your face. (no need to rinse off)

PROS
tones
cleanses
easy to use
softens skin
saves time
good for travel
not a cheap feeling facial sheet
price

CONS
Packets a bit long, so wont fit in smaller purses unless folded

Ingredients:

Green-tea extract, Allantoin, Squalane, Glycerin, Collagen, Cellulose gum, Ceramide2, DL-Panthenol, Carrot extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Arbutin

My husband and I have been using a moisturizer launched by Your Best face (YBF) a few months ago. The interesting thing is that we both like the moisturizer and have completely different skin types. I for one, have combination skin and he has dry skin. I will go into it by first describing what the product looks like and what it claims to do and then let you guys in on our experience with the moisturizer.

Like other YBF products I have reviewed, this one comes in a pump form in an airtight container. You will have to pump the product a few times before it finally dispenses. The moisturizer looks a bit brownish to gray in color and has a very mild scent to it. The scent is almost hard to make out, but resembles a type of scented oil…not sure which one. LOL! In my experience with YBF products, a small amount goes a long way and will spreads easily on the face. However, if you are one of those people that likes to add a massive amount of product and really work it into the skin, this product might not be right for you. Boost runs at $65 for 1oz.

My favorite part of the Product Description:

Antioxidants, vitamins and botanicals along with caffeine help tighten, tone, refresh and protect the face. Boost immediately soothes, reduces redness and balances skin. As it dries, the face becomes more toned and stays supple to the touch.

I love that YBF products have antioxidants and thanks to the air tight container it comes in, you know the antioxidants are being preserved nicely. Unlike, some face creams, whose antioxidants become ineffective once the container is opened. I will say that Boost does control my face oil and helps balance my combination skin.

The moisturizer is very very light, which I just love. I find that it keeps my makeup in place nicely, without causing it to slide off in this AZ heat. The moisturizer makes my skin feel soft and keeps it free from breakouts, just like my other favorite product from YBF “Restore” does. I also like that the bottle is very easy to carry and offers no room for product spillage. Just a toss in my purse and it fits nicely. Comes in handy when I like to remove my makeup and just go bare faced with only moisturizer.

THE Husband

My husband has very dry skin and despises using moisturizers. Mainly, because moisturizers are usually useless for his skin. His face will usually peel continuously, since his facial skin is lacking maximum hydration. The first time he tried Boost, he immediately felt the difference. The dry skin in his face started to look hydrated and he could feel his skin relax and not feel as tight and dried out. Boost has really improved his skin! He only wears it once a day and his skin feels and looks nice and soft. He tends to be one of those people who doesn’t like the whole keeping up with your face deal and this really makes it easy for him. So, if you are a low maintenance kind of guy who has better or manly things to do and just needs a nice easy fix…try boost!

YBF products are best known for their anti-aging qualities, but the one thing I have noticed the most is the radiance and complexion improvements! I try many products to review for you guys…even though I know I have been slacking with my crazy schedule. The trying of different products takes a toll on my facial skin in many ways, especially when I try products that do not work and cause me to break out. That’s why I love that YBF products can be layered with other products. I can honestly say, that YBF’s Boost and Restore are just amazing and are my favorite products from the line. Restore has brought my face back from serious damage on several occasions. Believe me when I tell you this. I realize everyone’s skin is different and I am not sugar coating anything. My experience with Restore and Boost have been amazing! I was real excited when I found out Restore was improved and now comes in a larger size!

One thing I do want to mention is that YBF does not use sunscreen in its products. The company uses: Phenyl Butyl Nitrone (Spin Trap) - An intelligent and powerful antioxidant that instead of destroying rogue oxygen free radicals, it traps them and transforms them into useful oxygen. It then escorts them back into the respiratory cycle, where it’s used in tissue respiration. (From Skincare Dictionary)

So, use sunscreen if you feel it necessary to do so! I usually do. I do have a limited amount of sample sizes available, if anyone wants to give YBF a try. Email me at: Bringingoutthebeauty@gmail.com and I will send out one sample. US addresses only, one per person and first come first serve. I currently have 3 Boost, 3 Restore, 2 Control & 2 Defend and again, it’s a very limited quantity!

Ingredients found in boost: I have Bolded the ingredients that stand out to me!

reverse osmosis water, green tea, cucumber extract, olivem (cetearyl olivate, sorbitan olivate), caffeine, Homeostatine (enteromorpha compressa extract, caesalpina gum), Renovage (triglyceride, teprenone), niacin, vitamin B5, vitamin e, spin trap (phenyl butyl nitrone), Lipochroman-6 (dimethylmethoxy chromanol), paraben du

Lately, I have been real busy, but finally got 2 weeks off! Even so, I have been trying multiple products for you guys. Mario Badescu, YBF, Nars and Erno Laszlo goodies…to name a few.

My recent craze has been MB Enzyme Cleansing Gel. I’ve been using it, once in the morning and once at night for the past month, yet, I saw a difference within the first week. My husband said, Why does your face look so clear? The first thing I thought was “Dang, was it that bad before?” I would like to think, not.

The green gel comes in a plastic bottle and you get a good amount of it (8oz). I still have half a bottle left and it’s been over 2 months. The cleanser like some MB products is non-foaming and has a nice clean scent to it. Seeing as I like foaming cleansers, I use a face brush w/ the gel so I can feel something happening. So, I just really work the gel into my skin, not harshly.

According to the bottle, the gel is for all skin types and thoroughly removes make up and debris. Well, I have not been using the gel as my main cleanser. I remove my make up first and then I work the gel in. You know, trying to Benefit from the Alpha Hydroxy Acid. That being said, don’t use this product if you are allergic to AHA.

List of ingredients:
Deionized Water, Glycerin, Papaya extract, Grapefruit extract, Monomide, Triethanolamine, Methylparaben.

Conclusion:
The gel helped clear up my skin…of this my husband is proof, LOL! Guess, we all have bad skin at times. I have not had any reaction to this product, but you know every ones skin is different. If you don’t like non-foaming cleansers and are allergic to AHA I wouldn’t recommend this product for you. A small amount of gel is needed to work it into the skin, but if you are gel happy and like to over use product…go with the 16 oz bottle.

If you are a MB fan, you’ll be glad to know MB is now available at some Ulta stores. Much nicer than having to order online all the time. Here’s a press link:Click
