Where Have I Been?

2014-06-15T17:48:00.001-07:00

Hey Guys!!!

I deserted my blog :-(. Its been many months, but I have been trying to expand my Youtube channel. I love talking and getting out to people. I have always felt and said that people who don't know you take you in better than people who do know you. Any who I got married 2/15/14!!!!!! And basically just life happens. Work is always stressful and busy, but that's the life of a social worker. I'm going to try and do blog posts more frequently. I'm looking forward to married life and hopefully a family soon!

You have to Love yourself first!

2013-10-14T15:01:00.001-07:00

I know you have all seen the Burlington commercial where people say out loud, out of no where, there best attributes. The commercial is hilarious to me because I do that. Sometimes I tell me self your a people person or girl your super smart. I give myself compliments all the time. Crazy right!!! But that's the thing you have to give yourself props before waiting on somebody else to. You may know your doing a great job at work and nobody says anything or your a great mother and your children and husband never give you thanks or your having a bad day and nobody seems to be worried. Guess what you know your there for yourself and you are doing a great job in whatever you do. Give your self confidence by knowing you can do anything for yourself by yourself. You have to love yourself first. Anything after that is up to you. I make sure to buy myself gifts and look in the mirror and tell myself girl your a 10! I learned to love me and it makes me a happier me!

2013-10-06T11:22:00.001-07:00

Same Girl Different Hair: Bob

2013-08-24T16:21:00.001-07:00

I'm a long hair don't care type of woman. When I don't have 18 inches or more I don't feel like myself. Even though my natural hair is short I'm a long hair diva. I've worn this hair style before, but never for long. I decided to try it again. I know that since Beyonce is rocking this look this week so everybody probably is trying it. Here's my take on it!

Hey dolls! Im a shopaholic on an extreme budget. So a new trend is midi skirts and crop tops. Also being matching your top to your bottoms is also a trend. I was shopping in Rue 21 and put this together. The skirt is actually $14.99 and buy one get one half off. The crop tops were also on sale for $5. A whole outfit for $20! I've been looking for an outfit like this for some time. I've online shopped for one but I kept finding it for $50+! This was my best bet.

Anticipating my Future!

2013-08-05T16:57:00.001-07:00

Today would have been my 5 year anniversary working at my old job..I worked as a receptionist at a doctor's office and went to school almost the entire time I worked there. 2 1/2 years I worked part time at Macy's and still was a full time student while working full time at the doctor's office. It was a constant struggle at my job because they saw me striving for what I wanted and some people really rather you not get there. I had many people "hating" at the job, no you can't leave for school or basically trying to steal my shine. Honestly at every job I've had since I started working at 16 years old I always had the one person who made it their mission to do whatever possible to break me or get me fired. I may have let some break me, but I know I have a purpose. I knew my purpose was not to work in that office forever where people got obvious better treatment than the next. I knew i could do better. I was constantly at a breaking point, but I did get the call I needed. I've been working at my new job now almost 5 months. It's hectic and totally different than what I had been doing, but it's a start in my career. My point is don't let anyone stop your dreams from coming true. I still have many obstacles they stop me on a daily, but I try my hardest to get over them. I just strive for my next dream or goal after I achieve one. Im anticipating my future!

Box Braids

2013-08-05T13:05:00.001-07:00

I have a love hate relationship with my braids. I love that they are so easy and manageable. This is a great protective style for anyone who is trying to grow their hair out or who doesn't know what they want to do with their hair. Im trying to grow my hair out and this is helping. You can do soooo many styles. Since its hot here in Texas everyone has some type of braids going on. The hate comes with my hair grows fast so the braids tend to look old fast. Plus I keep seeing gorgeous long hair and I want to get my Beyonce on! I'm just going to go ahead and get my perimeter re done and look towars long hair don't care probably late September early October! I'm peeping Aliexpress right now for the low low on some hair.

I Love Big Buns and I Can Not Lie!

2013-08-03T20:08:00.001-07:00

Hey dolls! I wanted to show you my favorite way to wear my box braids. I love wearing them in a high bun. It took me a couple of weeks to perfect it. I actually searched for the big foam circular bun that's like the sock buns we use to make back in the day, but I couldn't find one. Everything I found was too small. I could probably have searched a little bit more, but ain't nobody got time for that! I did find a long foam piece and was able to maneuver it into my desired bun. If my braids were longer I would have the gigantic bun I want!

Beauty Supply Store Haul

2013-08-02T18:05:00.001-07:00

I needed some braiding hair to get the perimeter redone of my braids! But I had to get some extras. Some sponges, eye lashes, earrings and glue!
