Last week i was looking online for lower priced finger nail polish and i came across style21.com. They have makeup, nail polish, accessories, bath & body stuff plus a lot more. Some brands i had never heard of but they also have alot of good brands like China glaze, Chi, Sally Hansen, Essie....
The picture below is everything i ordered, mostly nail polish but i did also get some NYX cosmetics I've never used them before so i thought i would try it out!

Shipping was super fast and i paid under $40 for all of this!

Has anyone else ever ordered from this website.? If so what are your thoughts? I'll more than likely order from here again!

Original tutu tutorial

What you'll need:
4 different rolls of tulle
Hot glue gun
Ribbon 5/8in
Ribbon 1/4in
Flower
Needle
Thread
elastic band
scissors/some kind of tulle cutter
ruler

For this tutu i wanted to make it longer so i cut 30 inch strips of tulle. I only used one piece of tulle this time, instead of two and i think i like this way better! Also instead of doing the two simple knots i decided to try this loop knot and then after that was pulled through i just made a regular know so it wouldn't come undone. At each end of tulle i tied a knot at the bottom.

Its kind of hard to tell but i used the 5/8 inch ribbon sporadically throughout. i made it the same length or the tulle pieces and also tied a knot at the bottom. & then i glued the flower onto the bow!

Princess tutu #1

What you'll need:
4 different rolls of tulle
Scissors/something that you can cut the tulle with
Elastic band
Needle
Thread
Ribbon
Yard stick

First your gonna want to measure the amount of elastic you'll need for the tutu to do this put the elastic around the waist of your child/ whoever the tutu is for. do no stretch the band. After you have the right amount your going to want to take your thread and needle or go to your sewing machine and sew the band together over lapping about .5inch to 1inch.

I wanted to make a shorter tutu for my daughter so i decided to measure out 18 inch strips of tulle.
I used two pieces of tulle at a time. Tying two knots... the first one going the length of the elastic band and the other going the opposite.Remember to not make the knots too tight or it will not stretch

After i had put a lot of tulle around the band i stretched it out a little bit over a chair to see how many gaps i needed to fill.

After that is all finished you can add the ribbon. I just tied it around a piece of tulle. into a bow!

Princess wands

What you'll need:
Wood dowels
Tulle
Ruler
Scissors
embroidery thread
Ribbon-1/4in
Hot glue gun
Curling ribbon
Stretch cord
Beads

The width of the tulle should be 6inches & the length should be 5inches. Your going to cut 16 of these pieces. Divide them into two piles of 8.

Take the embroidery thread and tie it really tight around the middle, do this to both piles. After that you want to lay them on top of each other so the embroidery thread looks like a cross & then tie them together as one.

Then just fluff out each piece of tulle.

After that take one wood dowel and put a drop of hot glue on the top and place it in the bottom where you tied the thread, i also but some glue around the dowel once it was in place. You can either cut the extra thread off or glue it to your stick.

Then take the 1/4in ribbon and twist it around the stick and glue it in place.

You can add pretty much anything you want to make it more fun & girly i added some curling ribbon and some beads on a string/cord. Just glue it as high up on the dowel as you can.

Revlon fingernail polish:

It reminds me of the Jelly sandwich look. I initially got this color for my daughter, she liked the way it looked in the bottle lol.but I decided to try it out on myself first. I used two coats without a base color & this is what I got. I like how light the color is & it lasts along time I'm still wearing it today it's been about a week and a half & there's barely any chipping!

Candy corn Halloween nails

Easy Halloween inspired nail art. All you need is black, white, orange, and yellow nail polish. two coats of black on 3 fingers and then two coats of white on the other 2 fingers. Add a line of yellow & a line of orange! The lines aren't as straight as i hoped for some reason i forgot all about using scotch tape to perfect those lines :[

Subtle Ombre Hair

Yesterday I went Jade Hair Studio to get my hair done & I wanted to try this ombre style that I've been seeing a lot lately but I didn't want it to be drastic like the bleach blonde a lot of people do, so I opted for a brownish color one the ends and then some caramel color throughout my bang area! It turned out pretty. Next time I think I'll go a little lighter so it's not so hard to tell. But overall I love it :)

In the next few weeks I'm going back to get the California smooth treatment it's supposed to reduce fizz like 95% or something crazy like that! I can't wait to have more manageable curly hair! I'll post another entry after its done :)

If anyone has heard anything about the California smooth treatment let me know please!!

Gel Nails Using Seche

I've been meaning to post pictures of this for a while. A friend of mine gave me a Seche Ultra-V UV lamp with a dry fast top coat & UV activated top coat! (Lucky me :] )

I tried it out using two of my new finger nail polishes by Wet 'N Wild. The purple is called "On a Trip" and the blue one is "I need a Refresh-Mint".

Both of the colors are very vibrant & pretty, with the Gel finish it made them really shiny too!

This lasted about two weeks!

Braided Little Girl Hairstyle

First I divided the hair into 4 different sections, the top being the biggest.

For the bottom section I made four braids then the section above that I made three braids

The next section I made two braids and then for the top I decided to make the braid off to the side and add two braids coming from one rubber band.

I couldn't get a really good picture from the front because my daughter doesn't like to sit still when I tell her to smile. LOL

*Time: About 45 mins.

*Supplies: Brush, Comb, Hair Gel/Grease, & about 25 rubber bands

*UPDATE: I re-did Maliyahs hair today using some hair ties made from goody. They made her hair look alot more girly/princess like!

Flower Nails

I used two wet n wild nail polishes, a sally Hansen, pure ice & a nail design tool that has the little dot/ball tip. (The container is just so i could drop some nail polish out to use).

So after the my silver coat dried I used the nail design stick to make 6 black dots into a flower design, waited for that to dry and then placed one pink or purple dot in the middle... it was super quick. Not much else to say its pretty self explanatory :]

I need more practice making the dots a little better next time & try different colors!

Braided Up Do !

I started by putting the hair into 6 different sections

Then braided two braids in the two top sections(total of 4 braids)

tie them off with rubber bands, you will take these out once you tie them into the ponytails..like the picture below shows

I took the braid on the left and brought the left braid of the right section over and down & tied those two braids into the ponytail. Then I took the braids on the right and tied them into a ponytail on the right....(sounds confusing but the pictures below explain ).

In the end there is 12 rubber bands in the hair.

In the end you get this unique looking hairstyle!! very pretty.

I think this took me about 30-40 minutes. Its a good hairstyle if you want your little girls hair out of her face ha ha. &+ it will last a couple days. If you want to know anything else about this look let me know :]

Nail Polish Rack

Today I was on Pinterest and found this adorable nail rack and it said it was a DIY project so I decided to YouTube and see if there was a video for it...sure enough there was! After watching the video I went to the store to get all the supplies, & it only cost about $25-$30!! After getting started it was a little harder than I thought it would be :[ ... anyways my AMAZING fiance did the whole thing for me! This is how it turned out ...

I definitely cant wait to fill it up with new nail polish!! If there is any good colors you want to recommend please do!

Top Coat-China Glaze first & last

Nail Polish-Revlon 240/Impulsive

Micro beads-Martha Stewart luster glass micro beads

Container/any old Tupperware

Napkin-optional

These nails are super easy to achieve just paint one nail and then sprinkle on the beads, just make sure you do it over the container so you can save the ones that fall. Dab them to make sure there secure and then paint a top coat over it & move to the next.!

Surprisingly the beads stay really well!!

Pink is the only Martha Stewart beads that I have right now, if anyone wants to recommend any other color combos i should try that would be nice! Thanks :]

Trying a new color

So yesterday at my local Fred Meyers they had a beauty sale going on & I decided to try out revlon's brand of nail polish! The first one I'm putting up is called 240-impulsive. In person it's a few shades darker & very pretty!!

If anyone wants to recommend any other purples they like I'd love to know!!

Curling Hair With Straightener

I made two diagonal cornrows...(for some reason I couldn't get a good picture of the braids)

Crimping with Straightener

So I've seen this idea a lot and decided to give it a go

1st I started with straight hair

Then braided it into 6 little sections... If you have thicker hair i would make more sections

I decided to use bobby pins to hold the braid instead of rubber bands because they are easier to take out... i was being lazy ;]

Twist the braid. Make sure the straightener is ready to go

I held it in place for a few seconds then when continued down (that would be my new baby in the background :D )

This is what it should look like after you go over it with the straightener.

I wait for them to completely cool off before taking them out!

This is what I came out with...a mix between crimped and curly :]

Braided Bun

Braid the hair into 3 different sections. The two outside ones are kind of loose and the middle one I made tight.

You can a braid like this and it makes it even cuter! Just take this braid and braid it into one of the 3...

Then you just twist the braid up into a bun. You will need a lot of bobby pins. I took out the rubber bands while I was twisting the braid up into the bun and any extra hair I just pinned down over the other braids to make it look like one big bun instead of 3.

Sock Bun Hair tutorial

Cut the toe part off of the sock

Turn it inside out and then roll it up starting with the top of the sock

Make sure your hair is in a high ponytail

Start at the top and fold the end of your hair around the sock.Twist the sock down while spreading the hair around it.

Natural Looking Curl hairstyle / Beachy Waves

I straightened it with a CHI flatiron...took about 5mins

Then I sectioned it off into 3 parts

Then I used Style Solutions Wrap to Waves Styler by Remington. I only used one side of it though...

This is what it looks like after you finish the whole head

Run your fingers through all the curls and it should end up like this!

Its kind of hard to tell but I twisted a piece of hair around the rubber band and secured the end with the bow. I also put 3 small single braids in with the 1 big braid. :]

Nail Polish tutorial with craft puncher

1st you want to do a few coats of your color on the sandwich bag, once its dry add a couple top coats and wait for it to completely dry.

After its dry you should be able to just peel it off the bag

Stick it in the shape puncher (I got mine at Michael's its from the Martha Stewart Collection)

Before i applied them to my nails i used China Glaze Strong adhesive base coat and then picked up the hearts with tweezers.I decided not to use the pink this time because i didn't want my nails too bright, the sparkles are my favorite... i could do without the green next time :/

Water Marble Nails tutorial

First China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat then 2 coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme White On. I also applied Vaseline around each finger so at the end the nail polish would be easy to take off. (some people use tape but i didn't have any)

You need a small container filled with room temperature water, make sure you have all the nail polishes open and ready to go. I used 3 drops of Sinful Colors Innocent, 2 drops of China Glaze Shocking Pink Neon, and 2 drops of Sally Hansen INSTA-DRI Snappy Sorbet.

Then take a nail stick or tooth pick... anything really and swirl the nail polishes around into the design you want

Before you pull out wait a few seconds and then take the tooth pick or whatever your using and swirl it around in the water to pull out all the dry nail polish around your finger

It can get very messy so make sure to use tape or Vaseline :]

Add a top clear coat and clean up around the nails with fingernail polish remover.

For the first time ever doing water marbling I'd say it turned out pretty good !
