The fall season is close and the fashion world is getting ready. Fashion for weddings, from bride’s gowns to bridesmaid’s dresses, have also started to go with the season with different cuts and colors. For fall, earth colors are in. Neutral tones are in for the season, raspberry hues, together with radiant bronze colors, the latest colors for the fall season is dark olive, spicy nutmeg, brilliant oranges.

The fall also signifies a very big change in nature’s life cycle. Time to get ready for the cold winter months. Catering menus usually revolve around what harvest is plentiful. A lot of caterers use natural and organic ingredients from local farmers.

The bride’s wedding dress is probably one of the more memorable things during the wedding. During the fall season, brides usually go for full ball gowns with longer veils and bold jewels. Bridesmaid dresses are designed to be more flattering for their figure. These could range from laced up mermaid style to chiffon fabric on one shoulder cut dresses. The colors for both the brides and bridesmaids dresses have also changed from white and two toned colors to almost any color that they find fit. Some bridesmaid’s dresses have hidden pockets where they can hide their phones and a few makeup pieces so they don’t have to bring around a small bag.

The theme also goes with the season. Autumn leaves, warm or art deco based colors, custom silhouettes, and eclectic table settings and centerpieces make the wedding a fantastic and enchanted event. A classic wedding cake and fun entertainment is also important for the wedding. Extra entertainment like photo booths, dancers, magicians and musicians is a grand way to keep the guest entertained all though the reception.

2011 Fall Weddings

The royal wedding was big. However, there just might be another wedding that’s going to be just as big and as much anticipated. After more than six years and six children, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are rumored to be tying the knot. The Hollywood couple is planning their highly anticipated wedding that is set to happen later this year or early next year. The news was confirmed by multiple entertainment and Hollywood insiders. The Jolie and Pitt love story has been a very hot topic with entertainment news and fans.

The couple could be exchanging their vows at Correns, France in the Chateau Miraval which they have newly renovated. The Chateau Miraval conveniently features a 16th-century style chapel where the couples can give their “I do’s”. Expect this event to be highly publicized.

This epic wedding will be “informal and intimate”, an insider on the pair says. Expect it to be small and close. Probably the wedding will only have family and friends as guest. Simplicity is the aim. The couple wants it to be as close as possible. The super-couple’s love story has been the center of attention of paparazzi. In the previous years, there have been rumors about their wedding, this wedding has been long anticipated by the entertainment scene.

Their children could have been the main reason why they have decided to tie the knot. The couple has two children, their twins Knox and Vivienne who are 3, together. They have legally adopted four other children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh who are 9,7,6, and 5.

I know quite a bit about weddings having performed close to 300 of them in the past several years. However, knowing about weddings is a far cry from knowing about marriage. Being married to the same lady for 44 years should also qualify to know something about Marriage, but not necessarily yours. In any case, if even one or two of the things I have picked up over the last 44 years, are helpful to you then it has been all worthwhile.

One important tip can recommend, something I have always done is, I remembered my anniversary and don’t even have to ask my wife. I have always made an effort to remember my wife’s birthday, our anniversary, my Son and Daughter-In-Law’s birthdays and anniversary and the grand kids birthdays etc… With the technology we have these days with Ipods and Smart Phones, there should be no excuse for forgetting an important date. Most calendars will even email you reminders. Guys, be honest, we have no problem remembering the things that are important to us or interest us. Most men know who won the Stanley Cup this year and who won the Superbowl last year. Forgetting your anniversary or any special date is not good and sends a strong signal that maybe you just don’t care enough to remember. That signal may bring a cold chill that could last for several days, if you know what I mean.

I heard a cute story a few years back about the two guys who were golfing. They had just set up to tee off on the 18th hole when one of the gentlemen stopped, took off his hat and put it over his heart while a funeral possession was going by. His buddy commented afterwards about being impressed over his friends display of respect. He said “Do you do that for all funerals”. His friends response was “No I don’t but this one was special, she was a good wife for almost 40 years”. What’s important to you these days???

As Canadians prepare themselves for the royal visit of the newlyweds Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, there’s plenty of talk going around about what the new royal is going to wear as she visits the country.

 
According to Weddingbells Magazine’s editor-in-chief Alison McGill, it’s not unlikely for Kate Middleton to have more than 40 wardrobe changes during her short but sweet visit to the country. She expects Kate to have 2 to 3 wardrobe changes daily. McGill also points out that there’s a lot of pressure on the Duchess to meet the world’s expectations of her being a new fashion icon, just as Princess Diana was during her heyday. Kate however, seems to be rising to the challenge, taking her job with an authority that’s rarely been seen before, she adds.

What’s even more surprising is that while the royals will be accompanied by a hairdresser, the Duchess won’t be visiting with a dresser, or lady-in-waiting. This essentially means that Kate will be doing the dressing on her own, and is relatively free to make choices on her wardrobe.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper sent out invitations to the royal couple after announcing their engagement to the world in November last year. The newlyweds are dropping by for some R&R and diplomatic duties just in time for the Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa. The royal newlyweds are expected to stay for a total of nine days, in which they will go through a tour of Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Quebec and Prince Edward Island.

The fashion world however, will be keeping a close eye on Middleton’s fashion picks, hoping to spot any trends that the leggy Duchess may kick off.
