Marc Silverman and Jeff Dickerson from ESPN 1000 radio Chicago interviewed Denver Broncos defensive back Champ Bailey on the Waddle & Silvy show Monday. Bailey was asked where he thought new Bears quarterback Jay Cutler ranked among the top quarterbacks in the league.

“Well he’s definitely in the top 10 as far as what he’s done to this point,” Bailey said. “Now where he can be, he can be the best in the game, he has that ability. The guys very smart, very sharp, a good arm; he has all the stuff you’d want. He reminds me of a Marino, Elway type of guy, and he’s going to be a great winner for them. It’s unfortunate for us that we had to lose a guy like that, but we’ve got to move on, we’ve got some quality guys back there that can definitely get the job done so we’ve just got to go out and handle business as necessary.”

The what seems to be never ending drama surrounding Broncos WR Brandon Marshall took another turn on Tuesday, as 7NEWS in Denver released a story saying that Marshall said he “hated Denver” during a traffic stop for a DUI back in 2007.

“I hate Denver. I hope I get traded. I hate this f******* city,” an officer wrote in the police report, according to the station. The report just became public as investigators of the station asked for it. The story reads that Marshall was peeved at police for pulling him over and not finding the killer of fellow Bronco Darrent Williams.

“Why aren’t you guys out looking for Williams’ killer?” the report says.

Marshall recently asked the Broncos to trade him, and the team went back and forth with the notion of moving him, but decided that they wanted him on the roster in 2009.

Now that this is out, it will be interesting to see if Marshall does any damage control, or if things just continue to get worse with the Broncos and now the fans of Denver who read that he does not appreciate the city.

16. Ryan Clady, T, Broncos: As a rookie in 2008 he allowed a half a sack. That’s amazing. He’s that good. He’s the next great left tackle in a league with good ones.

22. Champ Bailey, CB, Broncos: The chic thing is to say his skills are eroding. I don’t buy it. He’s still one of the best.

39. Brandon Marshall, WR, Broncos: When he’s on the field, he puts up huge numbers. The off-the-field stuff is a concern.

Bailey played just one season with the club, coming over as a free agent on March 6th of last year. He is a seventh-year linebacker who started six games for the team last season, totaling 44 tackles (33 solo) and one fumble recovery.

NFL.com’s Steve Wyche did a chat today on NFL.com, and answered a question about the possible head coaching status of new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels:

I think Josh McDaniels will be on the hot seat with the fans but not with team owner Pat Bowlen — unless he sees signs that McDaniels simply can’t handle the job, which I don’t think will be the case. Things are off to a rough start because of the Jay Cutler trade and there won’t be much tolerance by fans if Kyle Orton doesn’t pan out or if Denver tanks, as you said. But keep in mind, this was a non-playoff team that needs a lot of fixing and turning things around in one season won’t be easy
