According to the report, Moreno pulled over in his Bentley convertible for going as fast as 70mph in a construction zone. Moreno submitted to a breath test and was taken into custody.

Selected with the 12th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, Moreno had 37 carries for 179 yards in eight games before landing on injured reserve with a torn ACL. In 37 career games, Moreno has rushed for 1,905 yards and 12 touchdowns and caught 76 passes for 686 yards and six touchdowns.

“We take the incident involving Knowshon Moreno very seriously and are thoroughly reviewing this matter,” the Broncos said in a statement to KDVR on Monday. “Our organization will continue to gather information and closely monitor this issue while the legal process runs its course.”

Tebow is scheduled to be the guest speaker at a March 16 benefit for the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama at the Renaissance.

The outwardly Christian football player was recently named America’s most popular active athlete in an ESPN poll. His sideline prayer after a victory over Miami started an Internet fad known as “Tebowing,” or getting down on one knee to pray when others around you are doing something completely different.

Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner, was part of two national championship teams at the University of Florida.

Von Miller has been named the 2011 Associated Press NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Selected with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M, Miller recorded 64 tackles and 11.5 quarterback sacks for the Broncos this season. Miller missed one game with a broken thumb that limited him in the final month of the season, but he still earned Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors.

Miller received 39 of the 50 votes. San Francisco 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith, the seventh overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft, received 11 votes.

Not that Dawkins, 38, is ready to commit to playing one more year or retirement after the safety finished his 16th NFL season with a ninth Pro Bowl nod.

“The season is not over yet,” Dawkins said. “Our season is, but this football season is not. So why talk about that? I’m not ready to make that announcement. I’ll pray about it. If the Broncos want me back at that time, we’ll talk.”

Von Miller will crush you at chugging Gatorade!

The Broncos lost their defensive coordinator in Dennis Allen just three days ago, as he became the new head coach of the rival Oakland Raiders. Friday night, they moved swiftly to find his replacement, as the team has hired former Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio to fill the void.

The move will put Del Rio back with Broncos coach John Fox. The Ex-Jags coach was Fox’s first defensive coordinator in Carolina in 2002 before leaving after one year to coach the Jacksonville Jaguars, who fired him in November.

Del Rio is the Broncos’ seventh defensive coordinator in seven seasons. Other men who have filled the Mile High musical chair in the last six seasons are Larry Coyer (2006), Jim Bates (2007), Bob Slowik (2008), Mike Nolan (2009) and Don Martindale (2010). Allen was the only one who left for a head coaching job.

“We are thrilled to be able to add such a well-respected defensive coach to our staff,” Fox said in a statement issued through the team’s Twitter account.

“He was an integral part of our turnaround on defense during my first year with the Panthers in 2002,” Fox added. “His defenses with the Jaguars have ranked among the NFL’s best, and we are excited he’s a Bronco.”

The Broncos also hired Luke Richesson as their head strength and conditioning coach. Richesson spent the last three seasons with the Jaguars.

Dennis Allen the front runner for the Raiders job

It sounds like the Broncos are going to have to find a new defensive coordinator, as the Raiders have targeted DC Dennis Allen as the number one candidate for their new head coach.

Both Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen of ESPN report that the Raiders and Allen are looking to get a deal done in the next day or so.

Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice, already have been informed that the Raiders has found its man and they are no longer under consideration, according to sources.

Allen would be the first Raiders head coach with a defensive background since John Madden was hired by Al Davis in 1969 to succeed John Rauch. He was the DB coach with the Saints, and worked with D-lines in New Orleans and Atlanta before joining the Broncos.
