I was just reading this post on a client’s Costa Rica Vacation Rentals website titled "Valentines Day Recipe for Success in Costa Rica" and realized that I’d not shared this information with you yet.

Costa Rica is indeed a fantastic couples travel destination – the list of options for activities, attractions and cultural events is never-ending so there’s always something to do. Head up the coast to Tamarindo & Langosta and you’ve hit Tropical Nirvana featuring dense, lush jungles and active volcanoes to explore and some of the best surfing in Central America.

For South Africans most of Central America is visa free and you can enjoy a stay of up to 90 days in most countries including Colombia, Nicaragua and Panama. My girlfriend and I just got back from 18 months in Central America and cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. Traveling together was an awesome experience we’d both care to repeat very soon.

What’s new with the iPhone 4 Display?

The new wallpaper sizes for the iPhone are much larger than before and are now 640 by 960 pixels in dimension and 326 DPI resolution. They really are super crisp looking on the new device.

Modern Japanese Architecture by Tezuka Architects

Ever since visiting Grenada in Nicaragua I’ve enjoyed the idea of living spaces which feature living spaces designed around a central courtyard. Thinking back it’s also an aspect of design I’ve noticed and enjoyed in many martial arts movies as well. For me, the whole idea of having the outdoor living space incorporated into the overall house design in such a way that it’s private, open and accessible is brilliant and makes for a comfortable living space that I’d be more than happy to spend time in.

This led to me knocking around in my StumbleUpon favourites looking for inspiration and ideas on modern living spaces and architecture when I found a collection of some sublime modern Japanese architecture by Tezuka Architects that blew my mind. The following Modern Courtyard Home Designs by Tezuka Architects represent my idea of almost perfect living spaces.

VW Commercial (South Africa): Golf 6 – Silent Band

It started off with one that I spotted in my Facebook stream for the new VW Golf 6. A very clever piece of work by the Ogilvy Advertising crew.

Volkswagen Super Bowl XLV Commercials

Volkswagen of America Sheleld out some major moolah to air two 30-second spots – one for the all-new North American Passat model and one for the 2012 Beetle – which ran during the second and fourth quarters of the game.

Volkswagen Super Bowl XLV Commercial: VW Passat – The Force

This was the second one I came across on Facebook as well and is very cute and is one of two new ads aired during Super Bowl XLV.

The Passat commercial features a Star Wars theme and was produced with the help of Lucasfilm Ltd., George Lucas’ production company. The visuals are accompanied by the well-known "Imperial March" music by film composer John Williams. The ad shows a child dressed as Darth Vader summoning the "Force" upon discovering a Passat in the driveway.

Volkswagen Super Bowl XLV Commercial: 2012 VW Beetle

The other spot for the all-new 2012 VW Beetle features a CGI-generated black beetle who reigns supreme in the forest. The soundtrack includes a new rendition of the famed rock song "Black Betty" by Jon Spencer and the Blues Explosion.

The two Super Bowl ads are the work of Volkswagen of America’s agency Deutsch L.A. Inc.

In preparation for 2011 I’ve decided to offload some of my gambling domains and new-ish websites in order to simplify my life and focus on my core businesses. With this in mind I went hunting for some of the best places to buy and sell websites and places to list domains for sale.

In doing the research I looked through some of the most popular sites to list the domain / website and found a few good looking sites which looked like the best places to go for buying and selling web properties which I’ll list below. I also noticed that the paid listing sites tend to be of a far higher quality and that the free listing sites are often filled with a lot of junk, so finding something to buy or being found if you’re selling could be a hassle.

In the end, I opted to list my new poker website Badugi.co.za for sale at Flippa.com – the basic listing is $20 but you can bolt on a few extras such as screenshots, featured listings and listing highlights. I chose the screenshot addon as I feel that the website looks good and that a small visual cue would help it stand out from the other standard listings, the total for the 30 day listing worked out to around $30.

The listing process is quick and easy and some of the features which impressed me were the payment system which allows you to set reserve and buy-now prices for your website and payments can be processed in any number of ways including escrow and PayPal. Verification Checks are in place to limit dodgy listings and minimize the amount of false claims made by sellers as well.

I think it’s going to change the way EVERYONE markets online very soon. And after you watch this, it’ll probably make a convert out of you too.
