Nu.Face coming in 2020

2019-12-23T20:30:00.000-05:00

Hey Friends,

I hope all is well and that your Christmas shopping is done. I will be at work on Christmas but thank God I have another year and my health is somewhat ok! 😬 Enough about me and let's talk dolls.

So last weekend Integrity reveal their last nu.face collection of the year which is called Off Duty. I only care about my favorite girls Ayumi Nakamura and Colette Duranger both designed by Jessy Ayala. (I'm just now learning about Jessy Ayala) So let's start the review.

Ayumi Nakamura Cool Kid

So I read a few posts and blogs that Ayumi is very basic and to be very honest with all of you, this is the best warm look that Ayumi has ever had. Ayumi Nakamura dolls over the years have always been dressed from head to toe with a glam or couture look.

It so refreshing to see Ayumi dress down and looking more comfortable. I already have two Ayumi. So I can't wait to see how this going to work.😂

Colette Duranger It Girl Magic

New face mold but still the same Colette. Just like her friend Ayumi, Colette looks relax but still can slay at the sametime. The strawberry blonde hair is such a different look for this doll. If you're a new doll coming or getting back into collecting like me, this nu.face collection is where you need to start.

Back To My Old Self

2019-12-17T17:42:00.001-05:00

Being a doll collector has it's challenges. I knew once I stopped looking at everyone else having fun and participate in the destruction of my wallet things will never be the same.

Now, I spend a lot of money in November and I lost my mind when the 2019 Nu.face collections was revealed last weekend. I'm truly not surprised that I spend so much money for the pass 6 weeks. If I have the funds and see the dolls I want then buying what I like should not be a problem.

Now that I'm back to collecting, I want to enjoy my collection and be more responsible. I'm trying not to just buy everything I see, I also will be selling dolls that can get attention at other homes and truly appreciate what I have.

3 Dolls In One Week Part 2:

2019-11-21T21:27:00.000-05:00

Omg I can't believe after 3 weeks from ordering My Essence Dominique Makeda, she is finally coming home! I spoke to the ebay seller and I have no hard feelings about waiting so long. I wanted this doll since the beinging of this year and because I'm not part of the Wu club I missed out on a few ladies I wanted. So, I will be waiting for my new daughter!

P.S. this is part 2 from the post 3 Dolls In One Week

Starlight Poppy Parker

2019-11-12T14:59:00.003-05:00

Hello again

Yes, I'm keeping my promise to keep blogging. It may not be everday but I will be here to blog and share.

So I went to a doll show in New Jersey last weekend and I had so much fun. There were so many dolls and I will write a few blog about the show for the next few weeks.

I can't believe the dolls I found and here is one them.

Starlight Poppy Parker

You don't understand, this Poppy Parker doll is worth $350 dollars on ebay. #249.00 on Susan's Shop of Doll and I bought her for $90.00. A whole $90.00 dollars. I truly think I was blessed by the doll God's 😄

She truly is beautiful and is one of the best Poppys made in my opinion.

Look for more blog post coming soon.

3 Dolls In One Week Part 1

2019-11-03T03:25:00.002-05:00

Yes, I'm keeping my promise to keep blogging. 😊

2019 is almost over and I'm doing my research/learning on some collections I missed. I'm looking beyond my comfort zone because I am interested in all kinds of dolls. I was all about Barbie and integrity toys, but my taste has changed over the years. I will talk more about my change of mind in the furture. Let's discuss my three new dolls I ordered last week.

To order 3 dolls in one week for me is unreal. In the pass, I usually just buy dolls as I go along. This week I've truly could not help myself.

I already ordered this curvy barbie. I need this lady because she is just beautiful. I'm all for making more curvy and dark skin dolls so little girls can have something that looks like them.

The next doll I ordered has the Harley Davidson facemold. I like this one because he looks like he is mixed with a asian ethicist.

There will be a part 2 this post coming soon.

Bye for now!

Barbie BMR 1959

2019-10-29T19:07:00.000-04:00

As children we all admire Barbie for her bold attitude and style. Barbie is and always will be a true fashion icon. While there are many dolls out there, Barbie still reign supreme. The new collection: BMR 1959 proves why Barbie is still around for generations to come.

The BMR 1959 collection showcases how current trends mix with high fashion and street wear influence the Barbie brand. The diverse collection of dolls all comes in a shoebox style with fully articulated bodies.

This is the one I ordered today.

Stay tuned for my photos and review.

Hello Everyone: I suck as a blogger.

2019-10-27T20:48:00.001-04:00

It's been a year since my last post. Please forgive me for not posting as often as I should. I had so much happen to me over the past year. However, I did not lose my love for doll collecting. I have so much to say and much to share.

I bought some dolls over the past year and for the next few weeks I will be sharing what I have and what I plan to buy.

I cleaning out an area in my apartment to create more fun photos and get back into my story telling.

I'm aslo happy to see that the blogger community is still alive and going. Social media has been such a huge platform for the doll community. Many of us met in forums and we started our own blog. While we do have Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr is still out there. How blogging is a way to express our feelings and what going on in the universe of toys of all kinds.

You can following me on Instagram because I'm always on there!

I will be back soon to post some more, don't worry I will be back!

My First Momoko: Wakeup

2018-04-04T00:30:00.000-04:00

The year was 2008 and I went to my first ever doll show in Long Island, New York. I got to see so many dolls in person. One of the many dolls I wanted was Erin and Nadja from Fashion Royalty. I knew that doll collecting was a deadly game that I wanted to joined.

One of the many dolls I saw at the doll show was a Momoko doll. Now I didn't really find this doll cool (photo below) but I like that she looked different! When I arrived home I did all my research on all the dolls I discovered which include Momoko.

Now over the years I always wanted to get a Momoko, however, it seen that I never really put in the effort to buy Momoko. This year all that changed. I made up my mind that the first doll for this year will be a Momoko.

I put up a post on Instagram and asked where can I buy a Momoko doll. I was directed to a doll collector named Dal who had a few Momoko. When she showed me one doll, my heart completely melt.

This is doll is called Wake-Up and everything about her is too cute! I love her skin, her face. I mean she is just awesome! I plan on getting more Momokos but for now, I'll wait until the time is right! Maybe another 10 years 😂

10 years: The Omg's, the love and hate as a doll collector!

2018-04-01T16:12:00.000-04:00

Let me start off by saying,

I am sorry that I disappear from this blog. In the past 5-6 years, things have kept me from posting on a daily basis. So much has happen in my life and the lives of others. We lost some very loving doll collectors and gain new ones at the same time.

I started this blog tens years ago. Ten years of bad writing and being happy at the same time. Ten years of being angry at Mattel and sometimes angry at other toy companies. Ten years of enjoying my hobby and being bored of my hobby. Nevertheless, I enjoy my alone time with my dolls.

I'm a very "keep to myself person." This hobby has brought me out of my shell. I just true 37 and I like who I become because of this hobby.

Being a doll collector is more than just an hobby, it is discovering who you are as a person. It's about being honest about your imaginations. What you like and what you dislike. You make up stories in your mind and act out those stories. Redressing your dolls in all kinds of fashion. You become a different person as doll collector.

I'm slowly coming back to the doll community and slowly my taste is changing. I'm much more instrerested in many different dolls. Hopefully I can share with all of you!

Happy Easter 😍

The New Dress

2015-07-04T17:48:00.000-04:00

I did something on Friday afternoon that I haven't done in so long. I went looking around in the doll section at Target! Mattel has been falling so hard from grace over the years and I don't know what they can do to bring themselves back up. 2005 I would visit Target and was so amazed by the selection of fashions. Ten years later, Barbie fashions are not what the use to be and that could be a problem for Mattel in the future. We will talk about Mattel and their lack of interest in the Barbie brand another day, but let me get back to the point. I found an awesome dress and you will surly love the girls who modeled the fashion.

Addie is back and is looking classy as always.

Still going strong, but that wedding tho!

Darla is here and she is so mad at me

because I never really showed her off.

Darla is the only Poppy Parker doll I have. In my opinion,

the Parker dolls are the American version of FR Nippon dolls.

Speaking of Nippon dolls I'm getting one soon.

SHHHHHHH

The Heartbreaker just broke your heart again!

I needed to style Tj and see how well the dress works

with other fashions. As you notice the dress blends in great

and Tj killed every single shot.

That is it for now, I will be back later this week to blog some more.

Happy 4th of July

Let The Power House In

2015-06-30T00:02:00.001-04:00

"With great power comes responsibility!"

Ben Parker, SpiderMan's uncle

Those are wise words to live by when you do anything in life. Especially if that great power is money. In life you have to earn a living and it is your responsibility to manage your income. However, that can all change when you're a doll collector.

Integrity announced the new lines for 2015 and everyone is in awe with the Nu Face Collection. I'm going to get straight to the point.

After soon many years Polarity Nadja made such a huge comeback. With a new face, Nadja is again the talk of the town. As a Nadja fan, I am not too fond of the dark beauty. I do miss the way Nadja use to look when it came to her skin tone. Nadja had a little ashy ( not too ashy and please don't get made people) look that was so irresistible. Nadja melt your heart with that sweet baby face and in your face attitude. For the people that wanted Nadia, this is your time to get her!

Now for the real meat and potatoes.

In 2012 I made a choice not to purchase any new dolls, well I brokedown on my will power and made a deposit on Power House Ayumi. Ayumi was the only one who was giving me so many feeling about buying her. In 24 hours my mind went so far left, I got my credit card that I JUST paided off and order Ayumi.

That face is calling me!

Okay babes, I have to go beat myself up for what I did!

Missing Dolls Are Now Found

2015-06-28T15:52:00.000-04:00

4 months ago my house was in much need of a paint job. I pack all my things up and put them in the living room. In late May, I started to bring my things out of the living room. I was dealing with so much within those 4 Months that my mind just checked out. The night before my dolly outing is when I realize one of my dynamite girls was missing. I was so scared because my living had so much stuff in there that maybe she got crushed.

While at work the next day, Erin pop in my mind and the panic began. When I clocked out of work, I hurried home to find all my dolls. Along with Erin and the Dynamite girl 2 more dolls were missing. I wrecked the living room, looking in every storage bin that came in my contact. I then saw a little box in the concer. Behold, I found my dolls. They were all safe and not broken.

I love this Erin so much. No matter how many Erins' Integrity make, this one will always be fabulous.

My fashionista and Top Model Barbie are so lovely.

Don't worry, more posts are coming soon!

Looking, Taking, and Sharing! Part 1

2015-06-11T18:35:00.001-04:00

Please note: I am writing this post on a tablet, things will be messy. Thank you!

It is my day off and usually on my days off I do a few errands such as; doing laundry, going to the post office, paying bills, shopping and preparing meals for the next two days. Well for today, I decided not to do a darn thing. My morning was actually very common for me. I got up to make my coffee and breakfast, plus watched Season 5 of Archer on Hulu.com. I feel very relaxed and keeping my mind off things that would stress me out. I guess you can say, I'm having a "me" day! I wanted to share what was going on in my life and some of my feelings on collecting dolls. This post may have 2 parts!

I wanted to share some photos of my dolly day out

This lady just walked up to us and started playing with us

I had so much fun that day.

After almost 2 years away from the doll scene (lurking sometimes) I truly miss my life as a doll collector. I miss waiting for new arrivals, seeing other collectors repaints, new fashions and the bonding that we have as doll collectors. The friendships that I gain over the years is very magical. We come from many different backgrounds and it is always nice to learn how someone became a doll/toy collector. I appreciate the time that I spend with my dolls, but I had to realize not to take things so serious when it comes to collecting dolls.

Like I said in the beginning this post has two parts. I will be back soon!

I made it to my second post of the year!

OOHHHHHHHH

Okay so back to business. Yesterday on Saturday May 30, I chilled with my doll buddies in Manhattan at BBQ Restaurant. This was the biggest dolly get together I've ever been to. I met some wonderful new people and hugs others I have not seen in a year or two. After all the lunch fun, some of us headed over to Bryant Park to take pictures of our children and that one was a blast!

During the week, I will post the pictures here and Facebook. Until then, just enjoy this photo of Ayumi.

Oh My, Please forgive me!

2015-05-21T20:57:00.000-04:00

My last post was in December!

So many things have happened and I really had no room in my day to blog. I bought me a new phone last October to use it for blogging until I search for a new laptop to my liking. All I did with that phone was, check in on Facebook, download free music and watching videos on YouTube! Since then, the WiFi on the phone stop working as of last week. Still not ready to buy me a new computer and in need of my internet; I found an inexpensive tablet that works really great. (Mind you I writing this post on the tablet right now, not cute at all!)

This post is just an update to let you know I miss you all and I will be popping in from time to time!

Happy 4th of July.......Don't Be Mad At Me!

2014-07-04T19:18:00.000-04:00

A Cherry Blossom Tree

OMG, I cannot remember the last time I made a blog post. So many things has happened over the past two years, I don't have enough time to over the details with you (all of you). I'm still working, I almost finish paying off some huge bills. I may come into some problems next month, but I have to give thanks to God that my head is still on tight.

Do I still play with my dolls?

Yes, when I find the time I do sit down and take pictures, but not all the time!

Will I come back to the blog?

Yes, that will happen before the end of the year. I never got my new computer updated because, I have a mother who will eat that computer alive.

Takeo & Addie? The Moment of Truth!

The show will come back, but it will only have two more seasons. These things take so much time. I will have to sit and write down how I want everything to go. Don't worry, your favorite couple will have their wedding!

I have many things to share and can not wait to come back and blog with you. I will try to blog 2 tomes a month so we won't lose touch!

Until next time!

Sometime In 2014.........

2013-12-16T20:31:00.001-05:00

Hello Everyone

I hope everyone Thanksgiving was great. I pray that you have a safe Christmas and have many blessing coming in the new year.

Let me just tell you a short story of what happening in my life.

I bought a new computer in 2012, but I hardly used it because I feared my mother would mess it up like she did the last one. When I tried to upload the antivirus in my computer, for some reason my email, blogger, facebook and everything else will not come up. Now I have to call someone to help me out because I don't want to poke into anything I don't know. Wish me luck on that one!

As I told you early this year, I have a job now. When I get off in the afternoon I don't want to do a damn thing. Dealing with people is a damn pain in the ass.

To keep in touch with all of you, I post pictures on my Flickr account (through my phone) under the name Ebony Nicole 35. You can see my most recent photos there.

I love and miss each one of you. I think about all of you all the time. Who would think that you will become close to people you never laid your eyes on!

Until I can go on the internet on my new computer, I will talk or blog to you soon!
