DECEMBER 20, 2011

  1. CALL TO ORDER
    Dick Powell called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM at the Brookstone Park clubhouse.
  2. ROLL CALL AND ESTABLISHMENT OF A QUORUM
    Board of Directors Present: Dick Powell, Sharon Prince
  3. ADOPTION OF MINUTES
    Motion made by Dick Powell to adopt October 18, 2011 minutes, 2nd by Sharon Prince.

    Motion approved unanimously.

  4. BUDGET REVIEW
    October/November bank statements and budget reviewed and account balanced.
  5. CLUBHOUSE REPORT
    1. Obtain quotes for gate replacement/repair for pool and tennis courts.
    2. Pool will open April 28, 2012.
    3. Purchase new tables for downstairs clubhouse area.
  6. YARD OF THE MONTH
    Continue Yard of the Month for 2012, judging May, June and July.
  7. DETERMINATION OF NEXT BOARD MEETING
    Next Brookstone Park board meeting will be held on February 7, 2012.

    Dick Powell called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM at the Brookstone Park clubhouse.

    Motion made by Sharon Prince to adopt August 16, 2011 minutes, 2nd by Dick Powell.Motion approved unanimously.
  4. BUDGET REVIEW
    August/September bank statements and budget reviewed and account balanced.
  5. CLUBHOUSE REPORT
    1. Pool tile replaced.  3 bids solicited, 2 quotes received.  J&M Pools lowest quote, replaced tiles for $3,960.00.
    2. Pool sign replaced.  $250.00.
  6. HOA ELECTIONS
    1 self nomination form submitted, Janine Wells for Secretary.  Floor opened at annual meeting for self nomination, no one volunteered.  Dick Powell will remain President for 2012, Sharon Prince will move to Vice President for 2012.
  7. HOLIDAY PARTY/DECORATION CONTEST
    Distribute flyer for Holiday Party on 12/10, decoration contest judging on 12/14.
  8. 2012 BOARD MEETING DATES
    2/7, 4/17, 6/19, 8/14, 10/16, 12/11.
  9.  DETERMINATION OF NEXT BOARD MEETING
    Next Brookstone Park board meeting will be held on December 20, 2011.

]]> 0 Sharon Ferry <![CDATA[Neighborhood Watch Update]]> http://brookstonepark.org/?p=1434 2011-11-13T14:28:41Z 2011-10-27T02:20:17Z Continue reading →]]> UPDATE — According to Officer Smallwood, over 30 cars were vandalized Friday night, 11/11, in the surrounding area including 3 in Brookstone Park.  Car windows were broken and items taken.  Please do not keep valuables in your vehicle, turn on outdoor lighting and call the Sheriff’s office at 770–253-1502 if you see any anything suspicious in the neighborhood.

A concerned resident called the clubhouse (10/26) to advise of a possible “peeping tom” peering into windows on Mossy Hollow and there have been calls regarding door bells being rung after midnight on Brookstone Crest.  The Coweta County Sheriff’s office has been contacted and they will increase patrols in the community.  Please contact the sheriff’s office at 770–253-1502, ask for Dispatch, if you see any suspicious activities in the community.  Thank you.

    Barbara Landry resigned as Covenant Chairperson.

    Bill Landry resigned as Vice President effective 8/12/2011.

  5. BUDGET REVIEW
    June/July bank statements and budget reviewed and account balanced.
  6. HOMEOWNER CONCERN
    Mike Hineline expressed concerns and recommendations regarding covenant notices.

    Board will discuss concerns and recommendations for future notices.

  7. CLUBHOUSE  REPORT
    Security lighting repaired, light sensors installed.

    Solicit bids for pool tile replacement.

    Pool closes September 24.  Post on website; ask for volunteers to help store furniture.

  8. HOA ELECTIONS
    Distribute self nomination forms week of September 18, replies due by October 3.

    Prepare for October annual homeowners meeting.

  9. DETERMINATION OF NEXT BOARD MEETING
    Next Brookstone Park board meeting will be held October 18, 2011.

    2. Clubhouse – (Pool vendor) Coles terminated, new contract with J&M Pools.
    3. Clubhouse – (Security Lighting) hire vendor to repair security lighting.
