So Vogue magazine has graced us with a wonderful opportunity, they asked us for some of our fabulous jewelry to be featured in their February issue with singer Taylor Swift, in an ultra 60s hippie boho photoshoot. Miss Swift looked wonderful in every shot and wore our Bijoux line of jewelry so well! You can have the same rings for only $28! What a steal, the Bijoux line is from Turkey and features adjustable sizing so you can wear it on any finger you like! We had 6 wonderful models stop by and wear our BrowNY creations. It was a fun time shared by all. This dress is from the 1910s, and is made of silk that has been hand dyed a rich plum. Its features that tattered almost grunge look but also a delicate and fragileness that cannot be fabricated in a factory. Here its being worn by our good friend and stylist Alexa Winner. We purposely chose not to fix the many wear and tears on the gown to keep that oriningal vintage feel. If you are looking for awesome vintage pieces like this gown, stop by 345 Lafayette St.

Learn how to Customize a T-Shirt!

On Sunday the BrowNY team is hosting an open event. We are going to have a t-shirt clinic, essentially eveyone becomes an artist and customizes their very own t-shirt! We will show you how to cut up, dye, paint, and re-work those boring old shirts you have in your closet. If you bring your own shirt, just pay for supplies or you can buy a shirt here. The event will be led by Browny owner and designer Julie Erinc and international artist James Douglas on Sunday June 12th, 2011. It will begin at 3PM and go til 6. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Personally i love labradorite and this is a particularly beautiful cut. All of Li-Art’s Jewlery is really elegant.

Did you know that instead of more traditional marble, cafe la-lou (upper west side) uses labradorite in their bathroom for the counters and floor? its really awesome.
