Bryant Staffing is seeking an experienced mechanic for our central New Jersey client.  This candidate will be responsible for changing over the assembly machines from one product to another.  They will work closely and take direction from the assembly mechanic on each idividual machine.

Responsibilities

Removal of compound kettle by hoist or crane

Move compound kettles back to cleaning area

Clean and inspect fill needles

Clean and disinfect the assembly filling machine

Load, clean, and disinfect kettle

Load new color compound into kettle

Set parameters on fill machines

Retrieve and return old plastic parts to warehouse

Change batch code with accordance to working papers

Requirements

Mechanic experience

Must read, write and speak English

Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check

Experience in cosmetic or food industry a plus

Rotating Shifts starting Mondays at 6:00am

Bryant Staffing has an opening for a full-time, temp-to-hire Mechanic in the Paterson, New Jersey area.

Main Duties:

Repairs and maintains washers, driers, extractors, condensers, pumps, blowers, presses, and other laundry equipment.

Operates, examines, and dismantles equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.

Repairs or replaces parts, using hand-tools and measuring instruments.  Replaces components, such as bearings, motors, and micro-switches

Replaces faulty sections of pipe, valves, and fittings, using plumbing tools.  Dismantles steam traps and removes sediment.

Removes faceplate from equipment to clean out dust and lint.  Replaces worn or torn aprons, roll covers, and pads on mangles.

Lubricates mahcines and equipment, using grease gun and oilcans. May order spare parts.

Minimum Requirements/Skills/Qualifications:

High School Degree or GED

Minimum 2-4 years of mechanic experience in a production/operations setting

Ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-moving environment

Ability to manage work in an organized and efficient manner, using effective prioritization skills.

Self motivated an driven to achieve

Detailed orientated, excellent interpersonal skills, analytical and problem solving skills, effective verbal and listening skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy, very effective organizational skills, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity, team building skills

Long Term temporary warehouse project is available in the Monroe/Dayton, New Jersey area.  This position is for a minimum of 6 months.  The hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm with frequent overtime which is mandatory.

Responsibilities:

Establish a contact list and call frequency for all contractors, consulting engineers and end user in your territory and perform personal visits to identify new bids and future projects being designed.

Assist end customers, contractors and consulting engineers with system design, application assistance, and product information, budget and project price quotations.
