Winter Quarter

We did not get to use this Blog much last quarter, but we will be using it this quarter. We spawned fish and will be picking those eggs over the next few weeks. I will be posting some ideas and topics that you will need to read and then respond to under the comments section. This will help you with putting ideas down as the written word and developing those skills.

I would like you to respond to the question: How are things going in the program so far? Do you like this type of work, and do you like this type of education?

I have created a wiki and we will try it and see if it will add to the class. I have a class schedule there as well. Please visit the site and see what you think. Here is the link to it. Click on the go button to go to the home page of the wiki..

You can also start to read the Safety Manual that is called "Spawn, Spat and Sprains". Just skim over the airplane and bear safety sections. It is a safety manual for the aquaculture industry.

Here is the next link for you. It is the Student Handbook that we went over yesterday which has attendance, grades, forms, and other important information. It is #2 in this list. Please go over it when you have a chance and ask any questions that you may have.

I just learned how to set up a blog, so I have started one for the Fisheries program. I will have students check it out on a daily basis and discuss the posts or articles that I will link to.
