Vladimir Kush

2010-10-24T18:48:00.000-07:00

My mom introduced me to some work by this guy about a week ago. She was actually driving around the 405 freeway and spotted a Kush festival sign thinking it was the artists gallery show. She later found out it was a cannabis festival. I love California. Here are some works by him:

I could stare at this stuff all day and never be tired. Ever. Welcome to my second love, surreal paintings.

Wall Graff.

2010-10-20T19:02:00.000-07:00

I visited my old local high school today and spent some time with my favorite teacher from back in the day. His name is Mr. Harward and he is the central reason why I got into all this stuff in the first place. What is unique about his classroom is that in the back there is a wall for graff writers and amateur street artists to practice their craft without fear of legal prosecution. Pretty sweet huh? Here is what was there today:

There is some real talent at that school. I love visiting. Cheers.

Words Cannot Describe.

2010-10-19T17:05:00.000-07:00

How fucking awesome this painting is.

I didn't paint it although. But if I did, my life would be forever complete.

Musical Inspirations.

2010-10-18T15:17:00.000-07:00

Anytime I even attempt to begin a painting, in the process of painting, or finishing a painting there is one necessity I need. Music. Without an incredibly heavy influence of music to make my painting flow much more easy, I would be terribly doomed. Vastly doomed. Here are some of my favoirte artists:

1.) Boards of Canada

2.) The Beatles

3.) Deadmau5

4.) Sam Cooke

5.) Miles Davis

Here are some helpful guides that I have found useful over the years to help develop a more diverse skill in drawing and painting:

IT'S BEEN AWHILE

2010-10-16T15:44:00.000-07:00

Sorry I have been gone guys, my computer has been dead for a couple days. Anyways, no real art today kiddies. Just a lot of boredom and a lot of legos. Cheers. Going to this tonight:

Should be ridiculously fun. :D

My Friend Josh.

2010-10-13T20:39:00.000-07:00

On one Friday night, my best and oldest friend as well as partner in crime and shenanigans, created what you are looking at above. A big side note, we were not exactly sober at the time of creation. A good 3 or 4 bowls of extremely potent cannabis were consumed during the making. Notice the complete lack of painting and coordination skills used to create this incredible work of "art". This collaboration stands as my greatest and most retarded endeavor as an artist today. Fuck it. We had fun. That is what art is. Jaded Fucking Fun.

Here is a link to his blog: http://olskoolcartoons.blogspot.com/. Please support him. He needs help. A lot of help.

Cheers.

Writings on Walls: Anonymous Ramblings

2010-10-13T19:46:00.000-07:00

Often on days when I am walking home, biking around the city, or sitting on a park bench, I will see little tidbits of writing with either sharpies, pens, or on rare occasions paint. Often these semi-hidden messages will make me laugh, ponder, or leave me changed, even for a slight moment in time. Would I consider this Art? Yes. Connecting with someone through a physical medium is Art. Is it the most well thought out stuff in the world? Not usually, but hey, who the fuck cares? Right? or Left? Here are some writings, Enjoy.

Animal Cracker?

2010-10-13T13:36:00.001-07:00

I know this is an art blog but cookies are important too. But seriously, does this even fucking count as an animal cracker? What the FUCK is this?

Traffic. Stop.

Slow down. You might miss something.

Banksy

2010-10-11T20:33:00.000-07:00

Do you know who Banksy is? You should. He might be bombing a city near you right as we speak.
Banksy is a world renowned, London-based street artist who has been pranking, satirizing and reinvigorating the art world while maintaining elusive underground status. Here is some of his works:

Banksy in my opinion is the most significant and influential street artist of out time. Disagree? Give me your opinion in the comment section.

Banksy's "Exit Through The Gift Shop"

2010-10-11T14:47:00.000-07:00

This is not your average Art movie. Exit Through The Gift Shop is probably one of the most entertaining, hilarious, intriguing films I have seen in awhile. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Long live Banksy.

Space! Part 1

2010-10-10T10:26:00.000-07:00

I did this one pretty quickly in my backyard. Proceeded to get paint all over myself, my table, and my yellow labrador. Good stuff. This is only the first installment, I have two smaller painting in the back. Same style, same bullshit. Cheers!

Roadsworth.

2010-10-09T15:00:00.000-07:00

I would like to take a break posting my paintings and acting like a narcissist by appreciating some street art from a man known as "Roadsworth." Here is some of his stuff:

I love this guy. Makes everyday living that much more enjoyable. How psyched would you be to be walking along the street with this as your surface? I know I would. Cheers to this guy.

Bleed for Me

2010-10-08T17:01:00.000-07:00

I would say this is the best painting I have done to this day. And it means the most to me. Cheers.

No method. He is just pretty Red Man. Man.

2010-10-07T19:41:00.000-07:00

I did this for my ginger friend. he is red. So is this guy. Cheers.

Painting I did for a friend

2010-10-07T15:38:00.000-07:00

I know its a little dark to see, sorry about that. This one was done with oil. Alien tree? Who knows.

Pacman on Acid

2010-10-06T20:09:00.000-07:00

I remember painting this back at the beginning of the year using a variety of different shades of acrylic. I really like how raw it turned out. Not the most complex and intrinsic of my works, but it works. Kinda.
