Pretty hair

I have been taking vitamins on a semi regular basis trying to fortify my hair. I know they have special vitamins for hair, too, but I want to experiment and see what is best for my hair to grow. So far, I have not seen much of a change but then, it’s not been long enough for my hair to grow significantly. I know it has been growing, though, since my scalp has been tender. The only other thing I want to achieve with my hair is to get it shining again. It used to shine like the sun, but now it is a bit dull. Might be the air in NY since I never had this problem in NJ.

Im really tired today. We have a long few days coming up. We are supposed to try and get to NJ before the office we need to go to is closed, but we have not budged yet. I know my hubby is hard at work on the truck right now. WHY did it have to break today? I wish you could get life insurance rates for used cars. We would have gotten a nice policy on the truck so whenever it decided to break or completely croak *God forbid that happens*, we would have the dough to replace it right away instead of having to wait!

Trying to get to the Bronx

It isn’t easy to wait for a purpose to be put into full action. It is a true test of your patience and faith. There are a few options for us to move the Bronx, but God is allowing us to take our time and explore all the options before we actually feel right with a decision. We NEED to be in the Bronx. There is too much going on in that area for us to be so far from the action. I know that God’s purpose will not be perverted, it’s just taking time for it all to develop in front of us. Keep us in your prayers!

Thanks to a generous God given friend I now have unlimited texts and free nights/weekends! When she told me what she was doing I just about hit the floor. I am sure that if I had a finger pulse oximeter put on at that moment, there would have been ZERO oxygen in my blood! I could not even breathe! I thank her and thank her again. I am so ecstatic, I could just about cry.

Watching the boys sleep

I call them “my boys” most of the time when I speak about them. My husband and my son, two very similar people with very similar habits and moods. They are both asleep right now, in similar positions on their beds. In moments like these, I sit back and give thanks to God for my boys. No matter what life throws at us, we are still a cohesive family unit. I love them dearly. Thank You Jesus for giving them to me.

Watching tv out of synch

What in the world is wrong with our channel 5? The other day, it was like a black screen radio. There were no pictures, only talking. This week, we have talking but it’s waaaay faster than the pictures! I was trying to watch Dr. Oz today as he was talking about alternative meds and diet supplements and such, but it was so unnerving to watch! AUGH!!! I wish they would get it together …especially since AI is coming on tomorrow night!

Planning a trip to the bookstore

Funny how you can find people in bookstores looking for things that are not books. I have seen people scanning software, searching for educational toys, buying candy, etc. Bookstores have become so much more than a pay for play library. I think they are becoming more culturally relevant as they add things to their repertoire. We are planning a trip to B&N since we have some gift cards to spend on homeschool books and whatnot. I have to wonder if that’s all we will return with

Stopped snowing & bday party

It seemed like forever, but it finally stopped snowing late last night. I was surprised that the flurries were so adamant about returning so many times yesterday. Thankfully, the roads were clear and there was hardly any snow where we parked so we were able to take my baby out for his birthday. He turned 7 yesterday. I was glad to be able to do something with him as a family. Funny part is that this kid has been getting presents from people he doesn’t even know! At church, a lady gave him a bag of candy and a pez dispenser that is an actual race car (cool). Then someone at McDs was having a birthday party yesterday and gave him one of their thank you presents for him attending, even though they knew he wasn’t part of the main party (sweet). He got a Cars checkers set, some bouncy balls, and a color-me puzzle. He also got 2 lego sets from new friends of ours, but they actually purposed to give him birthday presents. The other two people who gave had no idea! My baby is so blessed

Snow everywhere

We got a heap of snow last night, which means we can’t go minister today like we were going to… We are going to reschedule, but we were so ready to go and do this today! With all the cold and snow and ice, a vacation in Orlando is looking pretty danged good right about now!

Hair in shape

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could take your hair into a room full of treadmills and just watch it run itself into shape? Yeah… that ain’t happenin’! So what does that mean for me? I have to coax it, knead it, smooth it, brush it, gel it into shape! I like the way it came out the very last time I did it, but the day before it looked like straight up fro. The next day it was a curly fro, which is more to my liking. I am now looking at making my own gel from flax seed so I can have an all natural glow in my hair instead of using fantasia gels all the time.
