Yay!  I can't tell how much this will help in my household.  Maybe next time they decide to stop picking something up, it will be trash.  I think a lot can be gained by us all learning to recycle a little more and throw "away" a little less. We went out and cheered Martha on at Peachtree Battle as she ran the 40th Anniversary of the Peachtree Roadrace. She finished in about 49 1/2 minutes which is awesome! After that we decorated the golf cart and headed down to the Chastain Park Parade and Funfest. Well, that's because it stopped moving as Ben Carter has been renegotiating the construction contracts for the 7 acre build-out estimated at $1.5 billion. According to an article in the Buckhead Reporter Ben Carter was able to shave $10 million off of the construction cost, or equal to .67% of the cost (my own calculation). The reversible lane on Northside Drive between Norfleet and Northside Parkway will go away starting in May of this year. The GA DOT will begin working to remove the lane and replace it with a two way left turn lane. The work will begin May 4th and continue through June 11th 2009. The story talks about the Spring market in Atlanta and how historically it's the launching pad for the years biggest sales period.  2009 seems to be a little different with the influx of foreclosures and incredible investment opportunities that are out there.
