Remember following Perls during interview.

What to Say

Introduce yourself with a smile and firm handshake. Maintain good eye contact during conversation.
Demonstrate to the recruiter what you want to and can do for the employer today, based on employer research. Give two minute commercial.
Answer questions with:
" Yes, for example (accomplishment/result statement)" and
" No, however (accomplishment/result statement)"
Show interest in what the interviewer is saying, by nodding your head and leaning toward him/her occasionally.
Give positive answers to negative-based questions.
Ask the recruiter prepared questions.
Initiate the next step by asking what the next step is.
Ask for the recruiter’s business card for future contact. Immediately after you leave make notes of important points of discussion.

The "Tell me about yourself" question

Here is an example about how to answer the first question most interviewers ask. “Tell me about yourself” It also allows the job seeker to share with the interviewer the most important thing they want to know – “Why should I hire you?”

 a). Personal and Education
This part is used to give the interviewer relevant information concerning you personally and about your educational background. This does not include personal information such as marital status, children, etc. This does include information such as: hometown or state and/or personal attribute(s). The education should be either the latest obtained and/or major field if relevant to job objective.

b). Early Career/Life Experiences
This part is used to share with the interviewer past work and life experiences relevant to the job objective.

c). Recent Work History/Life Experiences
This is the time for the job seeker to relate to the employer two accomplishments/results of the job seeker that indicate why he/she is the best candidate for the position sought.

d). Why you are here
In this part, the job seeker speaks with enthusiasm that he/she is here for the specific position sought.

What to Do

Arrive 10-15 minutes early.
Use time wisely to review employer research information.
Have pen and paper. Asking to borrow a pen indicates lack of preparation.
Be enthusiastic. Recruiters remember a positive attitude.
Listen carefully to the interviewer’s complete question before responding.
If needed, pause and take time before answering difficult questions.
Keep going even if you feel you made a mistake.
Carry extra resumes, references, etc. organized in a portfolio
Unless asked, do not discuss salary and benefits.

3)Interview-Self Evaluation.

Think about an important interview you have had. Evaluating your performance in that interview will help you to prepare for a future one:

a). List 3 things which made the interview a success.

b) a) List 3 things about the interview that you would change

b) For each of these three items, explain what you are going to do to improve for your next interview.

c). Were some of the interviewer’s questions difficult to answer? What were they? How would you respond if asked again?

d). What skills/qualities was the employer looking for? How could you better present these skills next time?

e). What further information do you need in order to determine if you would accept an offer?

f). What do you like/dislike about this company? (Consider a graph or other way to rate and compare the companies with which you have interviewed).

When asked what they look for in potential employees, many employers respond by mentioning all or most of the following traits:

A well-written resume and cover letter
Demonstrated initiative and uniqueness in approaching the employer
Following up with the employer to schedule interview

Employers look for more than technical or specific job-related skills when hiring new employees. Certain characteristics have been found to be essential in developing an effective team. Employers look for these characteristics during the hiring process. Knowing these characteristics and being able to identify them in yourself will enhance your success at interviews and increase your chances of getting the job that you desire.

Certain characteristics that are highly desirable to employers are:

Excellent listening skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Proven ability to get along well with co-workers
Dedication, reliability and good attendance record

For an interviewer to identify your strengths in these areas, they need to ask behavior-based or situational questions such as “Tell me about a time when you had a conflict with a co-worker, and how you resolved it.” This type of question is becoming more and more common in interviews.

Make sure to offer examples when asked open-ended questions. Answering with just a “yes” or “no” leaves the employer wondering if you truly stand behind your answer.

domain name yahoo

If you have any query or any question, please don't hesitate to send email
to shaikhstonevilla@yahoo.com

4) Before the Interview :

Before your interview find out everything you can about the company (read their annual report which can be obtained by telephoning them). Re-read your application, thinking through your own career and the questions they might ask you. You should try to anticipate the general questions which they will ask and also prepare some questions to ask them.

To do well at the interview you will need to convince the interviewer you are technically qualified to do the job. You will also need to show that you are sufficiently motivated to get the job done well and that you will fit in with the company's organizational structure and the team in which you will work.

You should dress smartly for the interview and should leave home earlier than you need to on the day of the interview - you may be delayed by traffic or for other reasons. Be courteous to all employees of the company. At the interview itself you must be positive about yourself and your abilities - but do not waffle.

Here are some tips:

a). Assemble all necessary papers

 Resume or personal data sheet
Know your resume well enough that you can discuss every line if necessary
Licenses, Social Security card and/or military records
 Samples of work, if relevant
List of questions you want to ask the interviewer about the job

Many employers will use your resume as a source of questions during the interview. Review your resume prior to the interview and be able to develop answers to questions that relate to your employment and educational experience listed on your resume. Be prepared to discuss gaps in employment. If called upon, you must be able to demonstrate the skills you stated on your resume. Focus your answers on the skills and experience that will be most useful to the position you are interviewing for.

b). Learn all you can about the prospective employer

What are the products and services?
 What is its reputation?
What types of jobs are available?
What are the hiring policies and practices?
 What are their salary ranges?
 What are their goals?

Researching the company you are interviewing with and the position you are pursuing demonstrates genuine interest and initiative. It will be obvious to the interviewer whether you did your research or not. Many interviewers will focus questions on finding out how much preparation you did for the interview.

One can research a company utilizing many different sources:

 The Internet
Company brochures and year end statements
 The area Chamber of Commerce
Networking – ask friends, relatives, teachers, social and business contacts

You do not need to know everything possible about the company. The information most helpful for the interviewing process includes knowing the product manufactured or service offered. You should find out the size of the company and if they have multiple locations. Who are their competitors? Did they recently merge with another company? What is their sales volume and is that down or up from previous years?

c). Identify what you have to offer.

Your education, training and experience—what you have done, know how to do and can do.
Remember all the skills, abilities and talents you possess that will make you an excellent employee.

d). Consider your potentials as an employee

Why do you feel you can do the job?
What makes you qualified for the job?
What do you have to offer the company or organization?
Why do you want to work for the employer in question?

Pre- Interview Checklist

Before you leave home for your interview, check the following:

Have you researched the organization you are interviewing with?

Do you know the interviewer’s name? If not, get it from the receptionist before the interview.

Have you formulated answers for usual interview questions?

Do you have all necessary information for the interview? This includes items such as resume or personal data sheet, names and addresses of references, pen and note pad.

Is there someone you could do a practice interview with? You will benefit from suggestions for improvement.

Do not forget the most obvious research, simply knowing where you are going BEFORE the interview. What is the company address? How long should you plan for travel time? Drive by the company to be sure that you know how to get there and how long it will take. Also, remember to give yourself an extra 10-15 minutes in case they ask you to complete their job application.

Other tips on preparing for your interview:

Consider how the position relates to your talents and goals, such as specialty area and opportunities for advancement.

Schedule the interview at a time that will not conflict with your working hours. Most interviewers will understand you not wanting to take off work at your current position to interview for other jobs.

Find out the name and position of the person you will meet with and get his/ her telephone number in case an emergency arises.

Be prepared with answers to why you want to work at that particular organization, and how you would be the best candidate for this position. Understanding the company, their mission and their environment will help you with these questions.

Dress properly for the interview. Dress slacks, dress shirt, a tie and possibly a sport coat for men. Women should wear a knee length (or longer) skirt or pants, and blouse. If a skirt is your choice, be sure to wear nylons. Don’t forget the dress shoes.

5) Day of Interview :

Material to Bring to an Interview

As appropriate, you should have copies of the following with you at every interview: resume, transcript, references, portfolio, work sample, and performance evaluations from previous employers (if you have them). Make sure you can leave the copies with the interviewer because they will not have time to read them during the interview. Also bring a notepad and pen.

The Routine of an Interview

Most interviews can be divided into four major sections: the introduction, the employer sell, the candidate sell, and the closing.

During the “introduction” the employer will use the first few minutes of the interview, to create a comfortable, friendly environment so that a meaningful conversation can follow. A mutual topic of discussion such as the weather, sports, or a major news story, etc., will normally be pursued.

The "employer sell" will cover organizational structure, products or services, geographical location(s), specifics on the position under consideration, salary (usually not discussed during an initial interview), benefits, etc.

The "candidate sell" is the time spent answering questions about your goals and qualifications and demonstrating your communication skills.

During the "closing", both parties should indicate their level of interest in the other and understand what the next steps to be taken will be.

Contact Log

It is important to maintain current records of all your job search activities. Record all contact and address information for each organization to which you apply, updating the log with each follow-up call or letter, interview, etc. Accurate records can help to remind you about the current status of each job opportunity, as well as when a follow-up should be done.

Interview Ethics

Interview only when sincerely interested in a position with the employer.

Provide accurate information on your qualifications and interests. Never falsify data such as GPA, academic major, coursework completed or extracurricular activities on a resume or in an interview.

Notify the Cooperative Education and Career Services Office, at least 24 hours in advance, if you cannot make an on-campus interview or employer presentation.

Acknowledge invitations for on-site interviews promptly, whether you accept or reject them

Notify employers well in advance if you must postpone or cancel an on-site interview

And At last, i would like to say for avoiding 25 things in your Interview.

Poor personal appearance

Lack of interest and enthusiasm; A call centre is operated by a company to administer incoming product support or information inquiries from consumers.
Outgoing calls for telemarketing, clientele, product services, and debt collection are also made.
In addition to a call centre, collective handling of letters, faxes, live chat, and e-mails at one location is known as a contact centre."

And now look at my following simple definition.

"A call center is an office where a company's inbound calls are received or outbound calls are made."

Why Companies open Call Centers ?

These are major 4 factors which forces any leading company for opening a call center.

1) For Customer Satisfaction.
2) Instant Resolution of customer's problems or Quarries.
3) To improve "Brand Name".
4) To Increase sales (In case of outbound call center).

Career in Call Center-

Population and Education increases day by day. Every year thousands of students come in the market to get a good job. And Generally...see what happens
domains yahoo
http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com

1) 20 to 25% of them can get a right job with reasonable salary.
2) 28 to 35% of them start a own business (Or settle in father's business).

And whoever fails to get a good job, joins Call Center.

Yes, This is the only field where anyone can get a job (At executive level 1) instantly anytime
(On daily basis, hundreds of employee gives resignation or gets terminated and that's
why call center demands for executives "24 x 7"). if he/she has good communication skill, basic knowledge of computer, 10Th passed & minimum typing speed 30 wpm.

Positions :

1) Executive.
2) Senior Executive.
3) Back office executive.
4) Assistant Unit Manager.
5) Unit Manager.
6) Assistant HR Manager.
7) HR Manager.
8) Assistant Operation Manager.
9) Operation Manager.
10)Department Head.

Now learn why i m telling you for not preferring call center (For level 1).

1) Taking customer's call : Taking customer's call means "To talk of Speak with customers on call (which is also called "Log in time"). and in most of call centers, log in time must have minimum 8 hours. Now think about waste of energy & health (74.90 % employee always complains about headache or migraine).

2) Shift time: This not a government job that we go to office at 12 O'clock instead on 10 am and return at 5 pm instead of 6 pm. Company decides employee's shift timing on weekly or monthly basis. Call center has 24 x 7 service to its customers, so they arrange shift time in such a way that any time customer can get resolution. In most of cases lady employee gets morning
shift (6am to 3pm, 7am to 4pm, 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm) and Gents employees gets (1pm to 10pm, 2pm to 11pm, 4pm to 1am 5pm to 2am, 6pm to 3am, 7pm to 4am, 10pm to 7am).
Now think about your social life (specially male) if you want to join call center.

3) Job Safety: Call center always ask for performance. Here performance means

a) Quality of calls. (How you handle the customers).
b) Feedback from customers by email or sms. (In call center term it is called "ICE" (I forgot it's full form)).
c) Call duration. (Average call handling time-In call center term "AHT" (Average Call handling time).
d) Wrap up. (Entry of customer's querry in computer).
e) Upselling : To sale the company's product on call.

Let us see all descriptive :-

a) Quality of calls : Every month call quality department listens some recorded calls which have been taken by executive (This is called "Call Barging"). They monitor whether you provide full, sufficient, satisfactory information to the customer. If they find even a single call of rudeness or insufficient information, they marked such calls as"Fatal calls". Quality dept report such a call to Unit manager. Unit manager gives notice to employee & sometimes he terminates.

b) Feedback from customers by email or sms: If you are using sim card of any mobile company and if you ever made call in customer care, you may receive sms after disconnection of call indicating that "If you are satisfied, please send "yes" or not please send "No" to xxxx number. (toll free)".
Too many "No" takes employee to door of termination.

c) Call duration : Even if you are performing well in "Quality of Call" or "Ice" but your call duration period is higher than company's expectation, still you have chances to get terminated.

d) Wrap up : After disconnection of call from customer side, employee makes the entry in computer for "why customer came ? & what resolution he provided to him ?"
Employee gets constant call in call center and that's why sometimes he was unable to do wrap up. company decides criteria like 80%, 90% wrap up necessary.

4) Your future in Call center : If you want to go up from level 1 to level 2, you need to do extra hard work, (Hardly 22% can achieve it).

Still you are planning to build career in call center, nobody can stop you.

You can get my free e-book (Call center ends career) by sending email to shaikhstonevilla@yahoo.com

Thank you.

Sam.

How to Get Right Job Easily ?

But they don't know how to snatch (get) it. And Frankly this post is for them.

Let's see how to get a "Right job" with "Reasonable Salary".

First Think wide, Be Calm, Seat Steady and ask yourself following questions.

1) What is your qualification ?
2) Which is your field ?
3) Which type of job you want ?
4) What is your expectation ?
5) What is your future after getting a job in the company ?

If you got "RIGHT ANSWERS" , then start reading ahead.

Source of Getting the Job.

1) Newspapers.
2) Local Placement Consultancies.
3) Online Websites.
4) Registration In employment exchange.

There are also lot of source is available, but as these are our major sources, i would like to discuss in details on each one.

1) Newspapers : Newspaper comes in everybody's home on daily basis. Everybody knows many companies and government sector also gives recruitment ads on classified pages. Simply, read the classified in newspaper, go to interview (In my next upcoming post, i will write on "How to get success in Interview") and get a job. But as per my opinion "Do not follow the newspaper" as there are hundreds of umployeed read classifieds pages in newspaper on daily basis and they go for the interview (So your chances get decreased in getting the job).

2) Local Placement Consultancy
This is the best, i always suggest and i insist of this good and most preferable option.
This is simple however very effective.

Many Leading National, Multinational or International companies don't give their recruitment ads on newspaper. If such companies have any kind of vacancy, they contact "LOCAL PLACEMENT CONSULTANCY" to fulfill the same. Local placement consultancy's owner and HR officer of the company seats together and discuss for the same. Remember that you don't have to spend even a single penny to get a job as there is free registration available in many placement consultancies. (You can ask me about such placement consultancy by sending email to sarkar00ss217@gmail.com I am not an agent and that's why i don't want do advertise them here). Sometimes they take a nominal charge from Rs:100 to Rs:500 for 1 year. But in most of cases they prefer to take "Charge-fee of recruitment" from the company. Sometimes they decide to take the charge amount from "Employee's Salary" every month. (Employee doesn't know that he's been giving a slice of his salary to placement consultancy).

My friend, if you are in need of job on urgent basis, i humbly request you to select this option because very few people knows about this.

3) Online Websites : You probably seen "Commercial Ad" in TV indicating that "Caught in a wrong job ? Log on to Monster.com"

Thousands of online websites are available for free registration to get a job. If you have an e-mail Id and resume (In Microsoft word format), please submit it on the following top 10 sites as soon as possible to get job.

1) www.timesjobs.com
2) www.monsterindia.com
3) www.naukri.com
4) www.bestindiasites.com
5) www.jobsahead.com
6) www.placementindia.com
7) www.careerage.com
8) www.winentrance.com
9) www.jobzing.com
10)www.jobstreet.com

It will take only 10 to 15 minutes in registration on each of the site. So try this option which is also free of cost and i am sure, you will get job emails on daily basis.

4) Registration in Employment Exchange : Short and simple (This is our government department and it does nothing but to register the candidates to calculate the figure of unemployee). Frankly i did registration in employment exchange 6 to 7 years ago and still i have not received even a single job offer or communication from their side.

In my next upcoming posts, I will tell you about "How to get white collar job using Advanced source", "Work At Home" and "How to earn Massive Income from Internet". So please visit our blog regularly.

Thank You.

Sam.

Commerce Easy And Effordable

Now we are going to look our second option "COMMERCE".

What is commerce ?

Simple, Commerce, basically is a study of business and finance. It involves the study of subjects like
-Economics
-Taxation
-Organisation of Commerce
-Accountancy & Book-keeping,
-Mathematics, Secretarial Practice

....etc.

Remember, If you got between 56% to 75% in SSC and if you are really interested in commerce, then choose this one. I am sure that if you continue your study with Commerce, definitely several giant opportunities are for you.

Let's see how ?

Suppose if you choose commerce after ssc, then first you've to complete hsc (12Th). Then after start flying in the open sky.

1) ICWA1CFA : After 12th, you can, if you desire, join ICWA1CFA. Many few student does this one and that's why i highly recommend this option because there is less competition. Simultaneously with graduation and become a Cost Accountant ! Chartered financial Analyst. Keep in mind that it is no so simple as it looks. You need to do hard work + Smart work (In the next upcoming post, i will write on this) to achieve success.

2) B.com : 80% of the student do not know what to do after 12th and they prefer graduation degree in B.com. Here i would like to give you my straight forward advice, "DO NOT DO GRADUATION" as there are already several students in the market who have degree certificate in their hand and still they are unappointed. But however, if you select this option as per your friend or family suggestion, let's look generally what happens.....

a) Job opportunities are available to graduate of any discipline : Many National, Multi National, International and Government sector also declare recruitment with minimum qualification Graduate in their criteria. (This is your benefit if you select to continue with b.com). But also keep in mind that there is lot of competition in the market. (More than 10k application goes for 2 to 3 post only). Calculate the percentage and see your chances to get such job. Ignoring this option, i would like to suggest you second costly but profitable option in long term.

b) Specialise in either
a) Accountancy (C.A).
b) Law.
c) Taxation.
d) Cost Accounting.
e) Company Secretaryship (to take up good job or start your own practice Iconsultancy).

Before select any course stated above, please remember that
1) These all are very expensive.
2) Hard work (Minimum 12 hours a day) and smart work (Planning) is necessary.
3) Less than 10% student can successfully complete the journey of our option a), d) and e).

If you are from middle class, i humbly request you for not preferring these course. So please be kalm, sit steady and think again about your future.
You can ask me any question or can send me suggestion in comment or by e-mail to sscresult2010@yahoo.com
I will try my best to give you satisfactory answer if possible.

Let's start.

Are you Confused ?
What to do after 10th ?

I was too when i passed ssc exam !!!!

After getting result of 10th in hand, Most of students think about these three options.

1) Arts.
2) Commerce.
3) Science.

They don't have any other vision except above. In this topic i have discussed what to do after
ssc, hsc or degree in detail. Apart from these i have also discussed about another courses availabilty which very few people know.

Let's discuss in details.

Let us have a helicopter view of various educational courses available to us after SSC/HSC.
Frankly, the list is not complete, however (i've covered the most) so readers are requested to take the help of someother
sources information also like internet, career guidance seminars and career counselors etc.

1) Arts.

I personally suggest you for not preffering Arts (there are lot many reasons after that and it's not possible to write all of those here. If you wanted to know about that please
write e-mail to me) but however If you got below 55% and if you are really interested to build career in arts then nobody can stop you.
Here we just take a look how to play game of arts.

If you persue ARTS, you can do B.A. degree course with following subjects, Languages

History.
Economics.
logic.
Mathematics.
Psychology.
Philosophy etc.

But probably you are thinking what to do after that ? As we know....

Most of students come from middle class and they want white collar job with giant salary after study.

Here are few options for them.

A) Take up a job in any private or government sector. (If you are lucky enough to get one).
B) You can make honest efforts to get a job by appearing for various Competative examinations such as
Bank Test, or U.P.S.C., or M.P.S.C. (Eligibility crietaria is atleast graduate to possess these all exams).

But remember journey never ends.....

Very few students can get a good job after B.A.
& For Rest of students

C) Continue studies and do MA (ending up as a teacher / lecturer) or take a doctorate.
D) Do some post-graduate course like

1) I.A.S / I.F.S : (For higher posts in Govt. Service) by appearing for Entrance Exam. of UPSC & M.P.S.C.
2) B.Ed : Only if you want to take up a teaching career.
3) LLB. (if you are keen to take a legal career).
4) Post- graduate diploma in Management M.B.A. & M.M.S. etc. from any of the IIMs / Universities.
5) Diploma in any Social Science (Labour Welfare, labour Managements etc) C. A., Cost Accounting, Company Secretaryship, Mass Communications (Advertising, Marketing, Journalism etc.).

Before we go ahead, just look at following which many few student does.
