Here are 2 market research questions I have found myself asking:

1) What would you like to do for your birthday?

and

2) What do you want for your birthday?

If I acted like most business people, I would go buy him what I thought he would want, and then not understand why he was not thrilled with the gift.

But you do not have to suffer through this disappointment when you do your market research, whether at home or in your practice.

Invitation - visit our podcasting site for cutting edge audio on private practice marketing and private practice building.

Best to ya!

Jeff

Private Practice Marketing: A Soaking Wet Marketing Marvel

Last week I took our two boys on an all guy vacation to the Nickelodeon Family Suites Hotel in Orlando. It's the only one of it's kind in the world, with two separate mine-water parks on site, with a mall in the middle.

We had a blast, and I may never be completely dry again!

One of the features that really intrigued me was the 400 gallon bucket that was on top of one of the multiple slide water slides (picture a giant jungle gym with multiple water slides). Water poured into the bucket and each time it filled up, the bucket would dump 400 gallons of water down on the slides, soaking everyone, especially if you were right beneath.

As a matter of fact, if you are right under it, you need to be sure that your bathing is securely attached to your body, or else you could lose it, as more than one person did.

What does this have to do with private practice marketing?

Well, this was not the only bucket I noticed on the complex. There are multiple buckets all designed to get you to put your money in the bucket.

Here's a partial list:

Room fee - not cheap by the way.
In room movies
Room service
Shops at each water park to buy drinks and food
Soda machines all over the place
In the mall:

5 different restaurants
A breakfast with the Nickelodeon characters
A souvenier store
A store where you could get fake tatoos, hair braids, etc.
And a store where you could get balloon animale made

And that's just a partial list.

You could spend your entire vacation budget without ever leaving the hotel, which is probably their intent.

Yet how many buckets do we have for our clients and customers to put their money in?

Most have only one, maybe two.

What would it be like to have "multiple buckets" in your practice?

I invite you to share your ideas here, and let's brainstorm this.

Best to ya!

Soaking wet Jeff

Practice Building: Monday Night TeleSeminar on "'How to Start and Run a Super Profitable Mentor Program'

=> How to multiply yourself . . . so you can service far morepeople than ever before.

=> How to reach the absolute highest levels of income from yourprogram . . . You have been supportive and quite helpful.

Here's a few tips for interacting on this blog based on your responses.

1) RSS Feed - You can set it up to have new posts come directly to you by clicking on the Our RSS Site Feed link under Links. You will go to page that will explain everything and help you set it up.

2) Posting comments -At the end of each post, by the name of the person posting, you will see a link that tells you the number of comments for that post. Click on that link to post you own comments.

3) Again, next to the name of the poster, you can click on the envelope with the arrow in it to send that post to a friend.

That's all for now.

Best to ya!

Jeff

Practice Building: Time Management vs. Action Management

Here's one of the themes that came out of our Get Clients - Full Practice Training tele-classes today:

Time Management is a myth!

Think about it - you have 24 hours in a day, and I have 24 hours in a day, 24 and no more!

While we really cannot manage time, what we can manage is action!

We can manage our actions.

Here's a question to get you started: Instead of trying to do everything at once and getting overwhelmed, what one small action can you take today and/or this week to move your practice in the direction of your dreams?

And then what is the next action for the next day, and the next and the next.......?

That's Action Management!

And there is still room in both the Get Clients - Full Practice Training and in the Practice Building Intensive tele-classes. The point is that this software automates the process of submitting your articles to article directories, article announcement lists, and ezine publishers. This will increase your traffic and increase your rankings in the search engines.

You can check it out at http://www.snipurl.com/articleannouncer

Let me know about your successes with this and other projects. My mailbox is always open at Jeff@BuildingYourIdealPractice.com

Best to YOU!
Jeff

Tom Antion BUTT Camp

I guess one way to say it is that I could concentrate only on what I learned yesterday in the Tom Antion Internet Marketing BUTT Camp for the rest of the year and not get to everything I learned and was exposed to. One of the BYIP members that attended said to me: "Thank you so much for suggesting I come to this!" I'm glad I planned to stay another night at the hotel cuz I worked from 7 pm to 1am implementing just a bit of what I was exposed to yesterday.

You will be hearing much more about what I learned yesterday. It's the kind of thing that gets me up early, keeps me up late, all the time thinking "Cool, I get to do this for a living!"

"Information is fine, but action is devine."

Best to you!

Jeff

BuildingYourIdealPractice.com Launches a Brand New Blog

Welcome to the blog portion of BuildingYourIdealPractice.com and the
Getting Clients Newsletter.

This will be a place where David and I will share tips, ideas and experiences designed to help you build your ideal practice, and fill it with
your ideal clients.

Check back here often as we offer you the best in tips and tools for building the practice of your dreams.

We also include quotes and sayings to motivate and inspire:

"You don't have to be good to start, but you have to start to be good."

Best to you!

Jeff Herring
