Hello, Hello, Hello World!

Because of recent events I am becoming inspired by life again! I am starting to sketch more, read more, draw more, and write more so you will be seeing a lot more of it on the blog! For now I am very excited about what I'm working with I just hope I can follow through and maintain the same level of excitement for the long run. I am damn near passed the first year of college, so I'm a bit more settled which means I can start doing some new things, and really try to immerse myself in my extraneous activities, so Pray for me., and send me you love, hopes, and inspirations, I'd appreciate it much! Randomly came across them in the dining hall of my school, and it was love at first hear. I was defintely surprised to find that the pop duo, were American, and BROOKLYN BASED, at that.

Derek E. Miller, songwriter &ubercute guitarist, and Alexis Krauss, bad-ass rocker chick working the vocals comprise the group. Signerd to M.I.A's record label, they've done nothing but impress and progress. Songs from the album, Treat, "Rill Rill" and "Kids" debuted on popular shows such as, Gossip Girl, and the American version: Skins. They also had the wonderful opportunity of performing at the 2010 Coachella Music and Arts Festival. (wikipedia)

I'd defintely suggest you'd browse through their music, and go buy it, cause it's worth it.

Lots of trends are floating around this season, but my favorite happens to be the Masculine, feminist look, Inspiration taken from Paris.

<---This of course is the more casual look (neutural colors, oversized t-shirts, baggie jeans/trousers, button downs) but...if you want to look more,rugged I'd suggest,

Ripped, bleached oversized jeans,

Stud belts, Studded blazers, Ratty oversized t-shirts, chained bracelts, cuffs, some cool sneaks, 'hardware' boots, and converse will defintely give you that "over the edge look"

*keep in mind wearing these All together might give someone the impression of a rejected rockstar, so Keep it Simple, keep it cute.

Paris,is defintely channeling its inner street boyish look, and I love it. The ankle length trousers, the blazers, the button downs, and all. Here are a few Runway examples:

Style Notes: Exposing

All about exposing.

This is about exposing while covering, allowing your skin to play peek-a-boo with the world. This should be done very subtle so you will not cross the line between sensual and trashy.

Make sure you look for other pieces such as, blazers, cardigans,sweaters etc,. to give you a bit more added coverage. By doing this you can get multiple outfits out of a few pieces, and definitely stretch your dollar!

I.e. when buying a sheer top/blouse, look for a nicely fitted blazer, to accent your waist, and to leave most of your skin to the imagination. This will give you a more subtle sensual chic look.

If your going to a party, you can forget the blazer and just pile on a gorgeous necklace, wonderful clutch, or eye catching bracelets to allow people to focus on more than your exposed undergarments. Do not wear it, or anything for that matter, if your not comfortable in it or if your aren't ready for the many envious looks you'll be getting.

*Remember Insecurity rents every room it walks into. Confidence OWNS it.

Today is the day that Micheal Jackson died one year ago. It is sad to see such a legend gone, he was such a trendsetter, and wrote and sang exceptional music. Without him I don't think music would be as great as it is. These are some of the beautiful photo's that captured his life. He is brilliant, and I truly believe he is the future of fashion. He has worked with people such as Rihanna, Alicia keys, Tyra banks, and Lady gaga.
