More Batman and Joker Monster Truck

The Joker Monster Truck from the side.

This is a very well done model, the colors are perfect for Joker.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks all have this ability to turn like this and the wheels go up and down too.

Joker car paint job is well done and very Joker like, with the HA HA.

This is the Batman Tumbler.

It looks pretty good as a monster truck, almost like a real military truck.

Or as a future military science fiction vehicle.

The monster truck body is huge compared to the regular Hot Wheels version of the Tumbler.

You can really see how big this camouflage Tumbler is, particularly the wide body.

I am considering removing the camouflaged Tumbler from the Monster Truck parts and make it into a regular Tumbler in the right size, and repaint it black.

Compared to the Batmobile 66 version.

Batman vs Joker

Batman Tumbler versus Joker Mobile Monster Trucks.

For some reason there are a lot of Monster Truck Hot Wheels and many of them are Batman related.

Just as The Joker has tried to take over surfing, and maybe drag racing, he could go after Monster Truck fans.

So a Tumbler with a Joker car makes some sense.

The paint job is pretty well done for a crazy Joker character.

From a distance it could be almost anyone.

Nice front end.

Hot Rod, 66 and Tumbler

The black and blue & gold version of the Batman drag racer car.

My plan is to use them both as cars to compete against super Villains who might try and take over the drag racing circuit.

The standard 66 Batmobile.

I did a little extra detail painting.

See here how small the black Tumbler is compared to the Batmobile; the Tumbler should be larger.

Batmobile Drag Racer

This is the Batman Hot Rod.

It has come in several color schemes and materials.

I think it is a Hot Wheels original and not connected to any specific movie, TV show, cartoon, or animated series, but I am not certain.

Just as Joker tried to take over the surfing culture and Batman had to intervene, I think it reasonable to thing that Joker or some other Villain might try to influence the drag racing world.

So this is a good vehicle for Batman to use to stop that from happening. I like the bat motif on the front axle between the wheels.

The cowl cockpit and stylized cape are pretty cool too I think.

Tumbler

The Tumber is a Batman vehicle that was invented by Wayne Enterprises and was used in the Dark Knight Trilogy by both Batman and villains.

The camouflage version is the original military prototype edition and three were stolen by villains and used against the citizens of Gotham City.

These seem very common in stores near my home.

The black one started life as a camouflaged prototype but was repainted into black and used by Batman to fight crime in Gotham city.

In the movie the vehicle is very large but the Hot Wheels version is underscale.

I have two black ones and a couple of the camouflage ones but it is not my favorite Batmobile by far and being undersized I am even less enthusiastic about it.

Tank IT-1

This is an SDV Raketovy Tank IT-1.

It is essentially a T-62 tank with 15 3M7 Drakon missiles on board.

It had very good long range accuracy and penetration but the rocket created a dead zone of several hundred meters before it could be guided. So it was not in service but a few years in the early 1970s.

I think with a reasonable secondary weapon of perhaps a 30mm auto cannon it could have been a decent weapons system give more time to mature.

The SDV kit is pretty easy given that there is a bit of flash on most of the parts.

So while not hard to put together it is a bit slow going.

I like to take a lot of parts off, clean them up and them assemble them in batches.

I have a lot of Roco T54, Armortec T62, and Petner T72 tanks and using the SDV vehicles I am added a few specialized vehicles to give them a little variety and in some cases a few more capabilities.

Piano Work

When taking out the batteries I realized the whole bottom half could be removed.

So I unscrewed the remaining screws and took it all apart.

So now it looks a little better. My plan is to use the piano for Chandell, played by Liberace.

The figure is now tall enough, but obviously the piano needs legs.

I suspect with a lot of work I can make two pianos out of this one.

Hat's and a Piano

More work on the Mad Hatters flying platforms. I added a control system.

In front of the figure you can see two joysticks that are used to control this flying platform.

The Mad Hatter is a Batman 66 Villain who appears in the Batman 66 comic book with hat shaped flying platforms, so I made a few of them.

This thing is a giant piano.

It is sold at Dollar General as a key ring toy.

The little keypad has white keys, buttons, that made different sounds when you press them.

I opened it up and removed the batteries since I don't anticipate any real concerts on it.

Here is a 1/72nd scale seated man with drumsticks. He is obviously too short for the piano in it's present configuration. Don't worry, I have a plan.

Dante's Inferno Room Mini

This is a highly detailed model.

Here you can see Beetlejuice inside the building.

The model is fully assembled and painted.

This little Beetlejuice figure is included in this little plastic box that looks like a phone booth.

The figures base fits inside the phone booth and inside the building.

The figure is about an inch tall.

And the building is pretty small, it works well as a building in a dense urban area.

Funko Pop Building

This is a new Funko Pop Bitty Towns item.

They are just like regular Funko Pop Town items only smaller.

Most are unique but this one is a redo of their Dante's Inferno Room from the movie Beetlejuice.

I have the larger one and it's a very nice building in a mid-Century Modern style.

It makes a good neighborhood bar.

This version has fewer details because it is so much smaller.

But it is nicely done and very sturdy.

I use it as a biker bar.

Hot Dog Mobile

Hot Dog, it's a Hot Wheels car.

This dragster is a real funny car.

It's a fun car and I liked it so I bought it, even without a clear reason for it.

It has a little barbecue on the back and the lid closes.

The front red part is a spatula!

The lid closes on the barbecue on the back.

The bottom is not as exciting as the top!

Closed grill. I suspect this will end up as a Joker, or Riddler car since it is humorous.

Coffee Cup

This is the set I got at Dollar General for the tea pot.

These are the cups, a bit tall.

More like coffee mugs.

There is a Catwoman episode of the Batman TV show where he and Robin are put in a coffee cup.

So I cut down a coffee mug to make a coffee cup.

Batman standing behind the cup to give a size idea. I will probably make a 1/2 Batman and Robin to fit in the cup.

Little Car

Instant Boost from Hot Wheels.

A little race car.

Shown here with Batman in 1/72 nd scale.

The head of the driver is huge so this is supposed to be a sort of go-cart and a driver of about 1/48th scale.

The engine is very cool.

Interesting clear parts.

Bottom is pretty plain.

Not sure what I will do with this figure but we shall see.

Batman Mad Hatter Hats

In the Batman 66 comic book series one of the first ones was a Mad Hatter story.

In that story there are flying platforms in the shape of top hats that Mad Hatter uses as a form of transportation.

I got these hats in a little set at the dollar store. The hat is too deep for 1/72nd scale figures to fit inside and look over the rim, so I used an old auto club card, cut up, to increase the height of the interior.

I used a bit of a dollar store toy electrical generator to hold the bit of auto club card off the bottom of the hat.

They turned out pretty good, but there is more to come!

Painting the Samovar

I had to paint this two colors, after using white primer. I used Scotch Blue Tape. High quality, good stuff.

After the white primer I painted the silver color.

The masking tape worked perfectly.

The I had to use this Extreme Lacquer to paint the rest of the model.

Rust-Oleum is a great product.

Here is an unpainted next to a partial painted version.

The brass one is painted except for the touch up.

It turned out pretty well I think.

The Brass Samovar of Genghis Khan

The Brass Samovar of Genghis Khan is an object of veneration in Batman 66 by Bessarovian Cassocks.

So I got a coffee pot from the dollar store to work as a stand in for it.

The colors need work.

But I will repaint it and live with the fact that a coffee pot is not a samovar.

But close enough for this purpose.

Batman for size.

The one on the right has been primer painted and now is masked off so it can be painted a silver tone color on the base, handle spout and top.

Deora II and Pink Cars

The Dodge Deora was a custom car built by Dodge in 1965.

It was also one of the first few Hot Wheels ever made.

This is an updated version.

The original was very angular and the surfboards were separate plastic pieces that could be removed.

The silver one is one from a couple years and the surfboards were still removable. Later we got the white one and the surfboards were molded onto the model, sadly.

Pinkie Pinkston with her dog Apricot and her pink Deora.

They make a nice little collection of cars, enough difference in the paint jobs to make them look good.

Pinkie drives the small sports car on the end.

I use the pink ones from my Batman character Pinkie Pinkston, owner of Pink Chip Stamps.

This one is a generic van.

All just part of the traffic in Gotham City.

The rear engine is a nice detail.

Bat Tow

Big Rig flatbed tow truck with the ramp extended.

Ramp folded up.

Ramp extended top view, you can see the notch where the wheels go to keep the cars from rolling off.

Pretty good bottom side for a truck.

My thought is to remove the pantos and make this an official Battow Truck.

It's a little big, but I like it.

Looks good I think.

Flat Bed Tow Truck

I visited Big O's Antique Mall & Flea Market, at 101 West Public Square, in Scottsville, Kentucky.

I was able to pick up a bunch of brand new in the package Hot Wheels that were in great shape.

This was is a flat bed tow truck.

The bed moves to several different positions.

Straight out flat.

Or folded up.

It's a pretty cool vehicle and I got two of them.

Orange Wheel Trash Truck

This is a very eye catching monster truck.

It is not going to live long, however.

I wanted the trash truck with an opening rear door for a conversion project I am working on.

So I intend to use this for something else. I may swap the wheels with one of the black tired monster trucks that can use a flashier look.

T54 Tank Roco

In the old days of the Soviet Union there were three tanks in a tank platoon.

Three platoons and an HQ tank gave you 10 tanks in a company.

Three companies and one more HQ tank and you have a battalion of 31 tanks.

Roco Minitanks T54 Cold War Soviet Union main battle tank.

The T54 series of tanks was first produced in 1947 and continued in production until at least 1985.

It is the most widely used tank in the world.

There are perhaps 100,000 that have been manufactured.

North Korea likely still has thousands of them in service.

Some of them have been used in combat in Ukraine by the Russians.

It's one of the oldest Roco Minitanks but like the Soviet Union's real ones, it was durable, simple to put together, and available in large numbers when few other Soviet tanks were for sale in HO scale.

I may so some more repainting at the rear, but I am still considering.

This is a new car and I have only seen a few of them.
