Fall/Winter 2020 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

It's so nice to see you again, I love what you've done with your hair! I hope you and your families are happy and well and looking forward to the upcoming holidays. I know mine are.

After living in the Arizona desert for many years, having a cold and blustery day is an incredible gift! Christmas music plays, no matter what time of year it really is, cookies, biscuits, and cinnamon rolls are being made and eaten right away! As a tribute to all of this baking, cocoa, and coffee drinking I decided to offer a Hot Cocoa Bar Apron made from a panel by Wilmington Prints. She was too cute to resist and will be coming home to a lucky winner during this fabulous Hop! (The apron not the granddaughter☺) This simply charming apron has 2 large pockets that blend into the print plus I've added a lining and button embellishments, it was great fun!

I always make a couple of bags so, A set of 2 Zip Accessory Bags with coffee words to live by, "Given Enough Coffee, I could rule the WORLD" my favorite is " Coffee doesn't ask silly questions, coffee understands" plus a few classics.

I've always loved the thought of the quiet moments with a lovely cup of tea, whether it's with a great magazine or working on my Christmas shopping list with the fireplace flickering in the background and my favorite Christmas music quietly playing, it is simply charming. The mystic and aura of that cup of tea enchants.

Then reality pops in and it's December in Arizona, 85 degrees and the only tea I'll be drinking is with lots of ice on the back porch with a great Holiday Decorating magazine showing lots of snow and frolicking squirrels playing in the trees and fighting off mosquitoes. Maybe tomorrow we'll have a more traditional winter day of 72, a girl can only dream!

My Blue Fairy Bunkie joins me on the porch every chance I get. She carries all of the necessary goodies for porch life.

Lol, here is everything but bug spray, it's seasonal, 2 Note books, post it's, 2 pair of reading glasses, you never know when you might need to see twice as much :), my current read, sun glasses, soda and cheese stick, cup with Ikea straw, my pruners- you never know when you must jump up and go trim a bush with 1 wonky stem sticking up and a business card- it's a multi purpose tool.

I love my Bunkie, she makes my Happy Place complete.💕

Recipe for Crafter's Delight *

Ingredients:

1 Bunkie Bag

2 Stamp Junkies    Kim Gausman ZumMallen-Pieturezwski
                              Den Bunkie-Bags
                              Numerous ideas

Assorted Craft Supplies, stamps, 2 different types of tape, inks, glue, pens, pencils, scissors, watercolor pens, cut card stock, energy food (candy bars :) water bottle, wipes, cell phone (to check out Pinterest, Fb, IG and other Junkies) and everything else you can think of that is Not the kitchen sink!
* There is another variation of this recipe coming up too.

1 Cup of genius sprinkled with love
1 Willing Sewist with lots of fun fabric and zippers

Gently mix with early morning and late night ideas and you will have a

Junkie Bunkie!!

This bright & colorful Junkie Bunkie behaves just like her sister Bunkie only in a bigger way! She has a lovely zipper to keep your treasures safe and sound, her sides fold down so you can still see what's inside and she holds quite a bit more! (this colorful example is my prototype. You won't see stitch lines on your new Junkie Bunkie :)

This fabric is called Paint Swatches, it reminded me of all of the paint/ink dabs that I've been seeing so many of my favorite Stampers and Painters use, the colors are beautiful!

Suzy of So Suzy Stamps and I visited with our friend, Iliana Myska of My Sweet Petunia, to make sure these bags, colors and designs were worthy of her MISTI product line. We got a thumbs up and the Misti Zip Bag for the original ™ was created. Not long after, the cutest Mini Misti Zip Pouch came along to care for it's counterpart, Mini MISTI ™ .

The Memory MISTI ™ was introduced in early 2016 and she had to have her own bag too! A beautiful, well built tote, was designed just for her and introduced in August 2016. The Memory Misti Tote is available only at simplycharmingeverday (at) gmail (dot) com

In February the 2017 SCE Bag Collection, which includes the Bunkie Bag, Misti Zip Bag, Mini Misti Zip Pouch and Memory Misti Tote will debut it's new fabrics and design! But more of that in January!

Christmas Bunkies

Our friends at So Suzy Stamps have requested Christmas Bunkies, your wish is our delight!

We will have Christmas Bunkies available the last week of November and the first week of December. Quantities will be limited. This year we will be offering a new design as well as our beloved Craft Bunkie. Our Buttoned Up Bunkie will be the same size, (8" long x 7" high x 4"deep, strap drop is 6.5 ") as the Craft Bunkie but will have a flap and button closure.

These versatile little bags are wonderful for small knitting & crochet projects, hand sewing, embroidery and rubber stamp supplies for classes, as well as project keepers. I have one that I use for my travel sewing supplies, it's amazing how much these little bags can tote!

As you can tell it has been quite a few years since our last blog post. Life has been exciting and very busy here in Bunkieland. Who knew that when she was created ( Bunkie is a she, because she does all & then some and makes it looks incredibly easy) that we would have weddings, grandbabies and new homes, graduations and all of the other things that life throws at us, so we let our Bunkie Blog take a long winter's nap.

Singer did survive her breakdown with a little TLC from the incredible Mulqueen in Mesa Arizona. Life is good.

Miss Bunkie, or should it be Miss Bag? I like Bunkie best. Miss Bunkie has been busy helping Tippy aka Suzanne of So Suzy Stamps and her Card Making Divas tote their goodies to and from classes and Retreats for the past few years. There have been Cupcake Bunkies, Girls on the Go Bunkies and Christmas in July Bunkies are coming up in July 2015!

Hearts…Flowers…Candy, what’s not to love about Valentines Day? I remember when my girls were younger how much fun they had getting ready for their Valentines Day party at school, making the heart covered “mail boxes”, shopping for valentine cards and picking out the best ones for their special friends and of course a big one for the teacher. Cupcakes were made, little red and sliver kisses were attached to the envelopes of their valentine cards and then when the party was over, the fun they had reading the valentines that they received from their friends. It was all great fun; it made them feel special and loved. That is what I truly love about Valentines Day…it’s an opportunity to let others know how much you care and how special they are to you.

Now that my girls are in high school, valentine parties are a thing of the past. Still I love to make the day special for them and usually bake cupcakes topped with pink frosting and conversation hearts and get them a small gift of some sort. This year I have decided on picking up some of their favorite eye shadow, lip gloss, and of course the traditional “red and white xxoo socks”. Denise came up with a wonderful little Bunkie Bag which she christened “Love Bunkie #9”. Love Bunkie #9 is perfect to hold the gifts that I am picking up for them AND they will be able to use the bag as a little purse, or to carry their CD’s, their DVD’s, their IPod…and the list goes on and on and on! What a Simply Charming idea!
