Summer Solstice

2012-06-20T09:53:00.000-07:00

For the first official day of summer, here's a fun picture of the inside of a flower! This was taken with my kit lens, so it's not the sharpest, plus it's an oldie - several years old, from when I first bought my DSLR. Despite not being the most crisp (crispest?) photo, I like it. I also like to look back at stuff I've done and see how I've learned and grown as a photographer.

I'm not doing a great job of keeping up at this, am I? It's hard, though, when you do a blog that doesn't really warrant responses, because then even you forget it exists.

This is one of my favorite shots from a wedding a couple of years ago, where I played backup photographer. I can't do formal, posed shots - I'm a fan of the candid. And this one still makes me happy when I see it, almost 2 years later.
