Turquoise Kimono

This was my first clothing project ever since I started up my sewing machine. Perhaps it was a bit too ambitious. The pattern is from Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross--the kimono looked so comfy and stylish that I just had to try to make it.
It turned out that the pattern was WAY too big for me, and I had to kind of hack it down to size, then add a zipper. The proportions from the top to the waist are a little wonky now, but I think it still works. Just don't look too closely at any seams...luckily the obi hides a lot!

Tiny Kimono

This was a gift for my cousin's new little one. The pattern is from Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross--seems like it worked out pretty well.
I was unsure on the sizing, but hopefully it fit!

The Catfaced Dress

I made this dress within one day. I just wanted to see if a cat face that big looks good on a dress.
And it does! =)
I really enjoy wearing it and get many compliments!

Beige skirt with white zipper

I like skirts with eye-catching zippers!
I used my darkblue dress as template and made the pieces for skirt and lining. Then I cut the pieces and added the zipper. This was really challenging because first the zipper seemed to be too long and I had to rearrange it repeatedly but in the end I defeated the zipper ;-)

Grass green

Lycra cowl-neck top with longish short sleeve. Cool to wear. Wash and wear and easy to make. I sewed it on my overlocker and then zig-zaged the hem and sleeve hem. The cowl in the front is double and falls beautifully. If I can manage I'll put the pattern on the web but am not sure how to.
