I just discovered Alice.com and I love it! Alice.com is a site where you can buy grocery-type items for a discount and have them shipped for free to your home. They apply coupons automatically to get you the best price, send you reminders about when to buy again, and are typically 20%-30% cheaper than other online retailers.

I'll admit -- at first I was leary. I couldn't imagine products I would buy being less than I could get them at the store, couponing. And for some items, this was still true. But for many others, the price was better or the same as what I could routinely get, AND I didn't have to clip coupons and go to the store to get them, which is definitely worth money to me!

I just ordered for the first time and my order should arrive today -- I am so excited! There are lots of different categories to order from: pet products, products for the bedroom or bathroom, cleaning supplies, products for the garage or kitchen, laundry items, makeup, medicines, baby products (including diapers and formula -- score!), office items, and even non-perishable foods.

There's just a few days left to take advantage of a couple of awesome deals at Walgreens!

First, Wags has Ocean Spray cranberry juices on sale for $1.99 this week. In the November Coupon booklet, there is a coupon for $1/1, making the juices .99 each! There are also reports that there are $1 off peelie coupons on some of the bottles, which would make them free!

Also, Huggies jumbos are $8.99 this week, which used in conjunction with the $5/$25 coupon available here can make for a really great deal -- $4.25 per package! Here's how:

Buy 4 Jumbo packages of Huggies diapers at $8.99
Add a filler to bring your total up to $25 after coupons so you can use the $5/$25 coupon

Good Deal: Mama's Pizza

Have you checked out the newly opened Mama's Pizza off of Wilshire yet? Mama's Pizza was recently voted Best Pizza in Fort Worth by the readers of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and now it's in Burleson!

Our family decided to go try it out recently and I was very impressed with the value. At lunchtime each day (except Sundays), you can get the all-you-can-eat pizza buffet with pizza, salad bar, and a refillable drink for only $7.50. Kids 3 and under are free, and kids 4 and up pay half of their age, so a 6-year-old would pay $3.00 and so on. For two adults, and two kids aged 4 and 3, we paid $17.00 all together, which a pretty good deal for that much food.

And what good food it was! The pizza was so good -- fresh and cheesy and with lots of flavor. The salad bar is small, but all the fixings were cold and crisp. And there was fruit and pudding at the salad bar if you or your little ones need something sweet at the end of a meal.

It remains to be seen if the pizzas and sandwiches end up being a good value, as I haven't yet seen how big they are for their price. If you are looking to compare it to a CiCi's, the pizza is much better, but there isn't as big a spread and it isn't as slick or kid-friendly. There aren't too many unusual flavors (i.e., mac 'n' cheese pizza) or arcade games and the like.

Still, the lunch buffet was a great value -- you couldn't usually get out of any fast food restaurant with food and drinks for four at that price, and it is all you can eat of some really awesome pizza! The buffet is open Monday thru Saturday, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Go check it out! And visit the website for a coupon to get several dollars off a pizza, depending on the size.

Hi!

Burleson Bargains Blog (catchy, huh?) is here to find great bargains that can be had in the Burleson, Texas area and post them online. I decided to start this blog as a way to post about good deals in my hometown and nearby areas that I find in the course of couponing and scouting out ways to save money.

Some kinds of posts I hope to publish:

Grocery deals, particularly at Kroger, Albertsons, and Walmart, as I find them. I may also post on Target and City Market occasionally.
Coupons and deals on local restaurants and fast food joints.
Online bargains of all kinds, but especially those appropriate to families.
