With the release of the World of Warcraft expansion back, The Burning Crusade, we have now seen the arrival of two brand new races: the Dranei and Blood Elves. But if that was not enough we also have a fantastic new profession in the mix in the shape of jewelcrafting alongside the other various challenges and characters brought by WoW's new Burning Crusade add on package.
So what is jewelcrafting? As the name suggests, it is a profession involving the making or crafting of jewels like rings and necklaces which can be used for magic, combat or for making gold either by trading it with other characters or selling at the auction house. Jewelcrafting is a profession that you can practice everywhere in the game not in specific location only. Also any character, whether he/she is a jewelcrafter or not, is able to benefit with the jewelry a jewlcrafter makes, and this is what makes it such a valuable trade profession. To perform your jewelcrafting graft, the equipment that is needed is among other things enchanting mats and alchemy mats. All these jewelcrafting items are widely available from any of the trade vendors in the game.
The best second profession to use with Jewelcrafting is Mining. This will provide you with the ore needed for Jewelcraftng. Also, while mining, you will also have the ability to do some advantageous prospecting for gems and stones. The latter two are needed for the making of statues that will come in very handy to heal yourself while in combat. Prospecting, by the way, is an ability that you will learn from a jewelcrafting trainer when you reach level 20.
The only limitation that jewelcrafting has is that it is only available in two cities in Azeroth: Silver Moon and Exodar. This makes it difficult for races like the Dranei and Blood elves who would have to commute a long distance to learn this trade. If this is a race that you have chosen for your character then it is clearly not ideal to make the trip to learn it. To get round this you could just create a secondary character in either of these two cities to learn it, practice it, and then mail off the trinkets and necklaces to your Dranei or Blood Elf character.
Admittedly Jewelcrafting may not tick all the right boxes for world of warcraft characters in lower levels. However it becomes a worthy profession in higher levels where gems and stones made by jewelcrafting can be used in item socketing. Socketing gems have the ability of earning you some nice bonuses when different colored gems are slotted the right way and only jewelcrafters have the ability to make such gems in the game. In that respect jewelcrafting is definetely a good new profession to consider and a worthy addition to the world of warcraft challenge.

The Big Choice

With the introduction of The Burning Crusade expansion pack to World of Warcraft and the great big world of factions and reputation points, the dilemma of choosing between Scryer and Aldor has become something of a hot topic in Azeroth. Both factions dislike each other, meaning you’re left to choose only one of them. If you choose one and decide later to switch over, you’ll be working on it for a good long time, switching your allegiances.
The most important items you receive from either faction are likely to be the Recipes and Inscriptions. They are both unique depending on your faction and might make or break your decision as to which side to choose. The other items you acquire are largely substandard compared to any other items you might receive in raids and from looting, so you shouldn’t concern yourself with how they might affect your decision.
As for actually raising your reputation with either side, it’s relatively simple. Either side will take tokens dropped by Burning Legion and Shadow Council mobs in Nagrand, Blade’s Edge Mountains, and Terokkar Forrest. However, when you offer the tokens to one side, the reputation gain immediately lowers your reputation with the other side. This is why you want to be sure which side you’re choosing before you start turning in tokens.
So, the difference between the two factions and their offerings is not as great as some people think except in very particular instances. For example, the Scryer offer a fairly good boost to critical strike chance, something that Rogues are probably very interested in. On the other hand, Aldor offers additional damage, something that warriors might be more interested in. the items themselves are almost meaningless and can be purchased from the Auction House.
If you, for some reason, decide you’ve made the wrong choice and work towards switching your allegiance to the other side, it will take a very long time to complete the grind and do so. The differences however are not quite as great as you might think and while some people who are trying to build absolute maximum characters might make the switch, most of the rest of you will notice only a very small difference.
For those that might have lowered their reputation to below Friendly with one faction and want to regain it, either because they changed their minds or because they are trying to get all of the recipes, there is a quest to help you do so. In the Lower City, there is a specific quest that either side can pursue that will allow you to raise your status back to friendly with a faction. The friendly status itself is 250 reputation for one side and negative 270 for the other.
Regardless of your decision, you’ll likely find that the Aldor/Scryer additions to the game make for a great way to grind and build up your character in the new expansion areas of the game. Choosing between them may seem important, but the task itself is where the real fun lies.

Races and Classes Explained

Many people are confused by the primary steps of the character creation process in World of Warcraft. This simple primer takes you through two decisions that most define your World of Warcraft character.
There are two factions in World of Warcraft, the Alliance and the Horde. In story terms the alliance is peaceful and is usually defending itself from the Horde races, while the Horde is chaotic and usually aims at destroying the Alliance races. Of course, as many of the Alliance raids are pre-emptive strikes the boundary is very blurred, and the basic result is that both factions go around slaughtering whatever they can catch(hey - it's a combat game...).
The Alliance Races consist of Humans, Night Elves, Dwarves and Gnomes. Added to the usual cast of good guys is the Draenei(the Burning Crusade Expansion is needed). The Horde consists of Orcs, Tauren(kind of like minotaurs), Undead and Trolls. The Burning Crusade adds a fifth race - the Blood Elves.
Either faction can play the primary classes of Druid, Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior. The Horde has access to the Shaman class and the Alliance access to the paladin class. As of the Burning Crusade expansion, the faction specific classes have been mixed up - with the new races getting access to the opposite factions limited class. Draenei can play as either paladin's or Shamans and the Blood Elves can play as Paladin's.
Class selection is limited by race as follows:
The Alliance
Humans: Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior.
Night Elf: Druid, Hunter, Priest, Rogue, Warrior.
Gnome: Mage, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior.
Dwarf: Hunter, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warrior.
Draenei: Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Shaman, Warrior.
The Horde
Troll: Hunter, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warrior.
Tauren: Druid, Hunter, Shaman, , Warrior.
Orcs: Hunter, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior.
Undead: Mage, Priest, Rogue, Warlock, Warrior.
Blood Elves: Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Warlock.

The Blood Elves

An expansion game for WOW is called Burning Crusade. Within it players can choose from a variety of races including the Blood Elves. With the Burning Crusade Blood Elves, players are taking control of a long standing, proud army of stoic warriors.
The Blood Elves’ history is steeped in slaughter and bloodshed, hence their name. Born of the High Elf kingdom, these noble creatures were once a powerful part of the now lost land of Sunwell. When the mad Prince Arthas invaded their land and resurrected the Lich Kel-Thuzad, he decimated their people, nearly destroying the entire race.
But not all were killed. The survivors were hardened by this harrowing experience and thus became a darker version of their former selves. Learning from one of the last remaining of the royal bloodline named Kael, they began descending into an even darker escapade of their history. They began tapping into the mystic energy of demonic origin and are now shunned by most of their kin.
Much before this changing of their nature, the high elves were considered outcasts from the Alliance and left their original homeland in search of something else. Thus began the dwelling in Sunwell.
They were determined to create a life for themselves, a new beginning.
Their power and influence grew as they settled into their new home, drawing much power from the Sunwell’s mystical energies. They fed on this power, using it to develop their powers to defend themselves from many of the harsh inhabitants of the world around them.
But this hardship strengthened those that survived, making them the powerful Burning Crusade Blood Elves they are today. This is an army worthy of commitment while playing the game of Warcraft. It is a proud history and one that should be thought of with reverence and honor.
Blood Elves are a race that requires a bit more finesse than the hard changing orcs for example or the slowing but relentless undead. Use their powerful magic to your advantage. Whatever party you join in this huge sprawling multi-player world will benefit from your skills.
There are many classes available to Blood Elf players. Choose one that fits your style of play as you will spend many hours in this WOW: Burning Crusade.

So, there I was, in the middle of some god forsaken place in the land of Azeroth. I was a million miles from an auction house or a major city and I had a ton of great weapons and armor that I wanted to distribute among my alts and the auction house...
What to do?
So, I thought and thought...and then it came to me...I need a "pack donkey". Or more appropriately, I need some one to sit near a mailbox in one of the major cities and collect all my goodies/send them to my other alts or list them at the auction!
What a grand idea!
Yes, this isn't a new trick by any means, but it is amazing how many people playing World of Warcraft take several months before they figure this out!
Needless to say, I logged out of my current character (my main) and created an alt. Nothing special, just a guy standing around a mail box in Stormwind waiting for the mail to arrive! Let me just tell you, this worked out beautifully. My "main" was out gaining experience, picking up drops and gold and sending it to my "donkey" for safe storage/trading or selling.
This really eliminated my constant need to travel to some of the major cities and drop off stuff.
Another trick I learned purely by accident was that by having this "donkey" I could use his bank account to store stuff as well! This was awesome, since my main is a miner/blacksmith combo, I could store tons of materials and products for later use or sale!
What I have just described for you are two great ways to leverage the use of multiple accounts in World of Warcraft. There are other things you can do as well but that will be for another article. In the meantime, enjoy these powerful tips and keep on crafting!

Leveling Guide

This isn't your run of the mill guide, it takes you exactly step by step, provides links to a maps addon, video to watch his technique, and suggestions on a variety of things, from talent point allocation to maximizing time played.
This guide is totally updated for the Burning Crusade Expansion pack and more content was added and is now fully updated for the 2.3 patch that recently came out. It has Outland 60-70, Horde 1-70, Blood Elfs leveling and more Joana has demonstrated his credibility and was the first to hold the leveling record - He has proven his skills on several servers and has honed his time and skills as new patches came out. His guide I will recommend therefore. for those who are less skilled and even for those who are skilled this is an excellent resource. It also has videos to accompany the instructions. The instructions are clear and well though out.
This guide is also good for those people that due to lack of time do not have the ability to figure things out easily and then can have lots of fun leveling quickly and some might not get there because they are looking in the wrong places and/or are using the wrong sources and techniques. One of the key features I liked about this guide is that it offer lifetime updates which we know is a big plus.
At a price of $37 dollars for a guide that will be constantly updated as new patches and such come are released is truly a bargain I think. Especially when you consider that there are players out there who easily spend this much on buying wow gold and characters every day!
A resource like Joana's guide allows you to experience the game and you don't have to do a speed run, you can also practice trade skills and you can do that and level at a reasonable pace. This is all in all a very fine put together guide that will provide you lots of fun and in turn your friend and enemies will be impressed with your mastery of these levels :)
I was looking for some negatives about this guide but could not find any I am just patiently waiting till he decides to come out with the Alliance leveling guide.

Grinding in WOW

Grinding,.. if you play WoW you have to know that some people simply love it and some people absolutely hate it. You can start grinding for multiple reasons: if you are leveling, you can grind on some mobs, just because they got good drops, xp and cash. Further into the game when you’re more or less reaching the end, you will mainly grind for stuff needed for your professions, or just for gold.
In the Burning crusade, some people strife to get the epic flying mount, as the skill costs 5000gold (which is a lot), grinding is almost crucial to get it.
The ideal grinding mob is a mob that has low HP (Casters), doesn’t have a skill that gives you a debuff or deals high damage, and of course drops some good loot. I will focus this short guide on grinding in the Outlands, since there are already a lot of non-TBC WoW guides.
When you’re discovering Outlands for the first time, you will soon notice a new type of cloth being dropped here: Nether Weave. These cloths sell pretty well, due to the fact that tailors need lots and lots of them. On the way to 70, without grinding too much, you will find about 100 stacks at least. On my server these sell for about 6-7Gold a stack, so that means a lot of money.
Most players consider browsing the AH(Auction House) being a waste of time when they’re just starting out, which is a quite shame as they’ll be missing out on a tremendous part of the game. Browsing the AH is and will always be helpful, as it gives you the opportunity to learn about the specific prices and economy on your server. After a while you’ll be able to find and buy really under-priced stuff, to sell it for a much higher price, resulting in a nice profit. This might actually help you to get your Epic Mount.
BC (Burning Crusade) came out. Most likely, you will notice that there’s a lot of 'primal' stuff going around at the AH. These things are needed for almost every profession above 300. You’ll have to farm motes in order to get those. (Especially elementals drop these.) On my server, the primal Fire is the most expensive one of them, which is easily farmable as a level 70 in Shadowmoon Valley. Depending on your server and local economics, you’ll usually be able to sell them for a nice 30-40g each. Go after the Blood Elfd in Netherstorm, as they’ll drop both Scryer items, and heaps of Nether Weave. It will of course vary from class to class which mobs will be the easiest to grind, and I personally prefer an affliction lock for the job, but your own experience might prove otherwise of course.
Some final words of advice: always keep track of the Auction House with a special bank character, do your economics, farm primal and Nether Weave or reputation items with your main character, and get rich!

Every player must farm gold in the Burning Crusade if they want to have the nice mounts, equipment, and skills. However, players get irritated when they try to make money because they don't have a good quality method, so it takes them a lot longer than it should. Use these 8 quick tips to farm more gold in the Burning Crusade.
1. Take up Jewelcrafting. This hot new profession in the Burning Crusade can be profitable. Concentrate on prospecting and selling gems, or cutting epics.
2. Sell at the Auction House. Others players will pay more for your items than vendors. Always check the auction house before the vendors.
3. Drop your crafting profession and taking up two gathering professions. You should always take up skinning because it doesn't require a tracker. Skin any mobs that you kill and sell the hides or leathers in the auction house.
4. Sell novelty items on the Auction House. Player collect all kinds of strange things, like pets or costumes., and they pay high prices for them.
5. Disenchant cheap green items. Sometimes the dusts and shards that are created by disenchanting are worth more than the original item. Also, it doesn't cost any fees to list enchanting materials on the Auction House.
6. Do your daily quests. These can be great money makers.
7. Install the Auctioneer add-on. Auctioneer scans the auction house and keeps track of all of the item prices on your server. This will help you be able to items at lower than normal prices and resell them for more money.
8. Use the best grinding spec for your character. If you are going to farm items to sell, you want to be able to kill mobs as fast as possible. Every character has an ideal grinding spec. Find out what is the best for your character and pay to respect if you have to; you will reap the rewards in the long run.

Improvements for the Burning Crusade

World of Warcraft has been criticized in the past for a sub-par and almost useless profession system. Burning Crusade attempts to change all that by allowing users to craft items of great power that are comparable to loot in dungeons or the arenas.
As far as leatherworking goes in the Burning Crusade, the improvements are pretty comprehensive. Armor will be made stronger, will include leg enhancements, and will provide more protection for the players getting into the raids and the more hazardous dungeons. These new armor kits will be pretty simple to construct and will really come in handy when players can't get a particular high-end enchantment.
Mining now has available some more types of metal at the endgame. In BC, players will find Fel Iron and Adamantite, several kinds of high-end base metals, and also a few rare metals known as Eternium and Khorium. Similar to herbalists, miners will see some of the unusual Outland dwellers give up some rare materials when killed, for use for forge-fires. The miners will "skin" these corpses to obtain materials utilized by blacksmiths and engineers.
With the blacksmithing, they will now be able to make legendary quality weapons that only they themselves can use, such as a sword or the most durable suit of armor. These will be able to be worn, no matter what the game stage. Then, when they want everyone to take advantages of all this, they can so designate.
Alchemists will all have basic subject knowledge, but they will also be able to specialize. These individuals will learn Elixirs, Potions, or Transmutation. Because of this, alchemists will be capable of constructing two items instead of merely one.
Enchanters now have new spells/enchantments in their repertoire. There are the new and improved mana and wizard oils, the ring spells, and lastly the Battlemaster and Spellsurge weapon enchantments. The ring spells will require locating the hidden formulas.
Herbalists will discover rare and novel herbs indigenous to Outland, with many strange and varied effects, some positive and some negative. And some will bestow (or inflict) strange effects on the herbalist who picks them. Plus, only this group will be permitted to harvest through the act of skinning, the unusual and scarce ingredients from plant beasts of the shattered regions lying outside the Dark Portal.
Engineers will locate new and useful gadget schematics. These will come from the innovative Goblin and Gnomish in their Research and Development Labs. Two such inventions will be Rocket Launchers and the Nigh Invulnerability Belts. Next, this class will have at their disposal a Mote Extractor to collect various resources from Outland's magic and gas clouds. Finally, raiding engineers will be able to create different colored smoke flares, enabling marking of significant areas.

Burning Crusade money making is something that is really not that difficult to do, but a lot of players struggle getting gold simply because they do not know how. If you want to be a wealthy character, you have to have a strategy to follow. These 5 quick tips will help you to have a better strategy for making money in the Burning Crusade.
1. Sell your stuff at the Auction House. If all you are doing now is selling to vendors, you are missing out on the action.
2. Disenchant. You can get a hold of cheap green items either by grinding or through crafting (or you can buy crafted items very cheaply on the AH if they are sold by players leveling up their crafting profession). A lot of times, disenchanting these items and selling the mats on the Auction House is profitable.
3. Pay attention to Azerothian holidays. Seasonal quests require items that you can sell to lazy players who don't want to farm the items. You can make all kinds of money if you pay attention to what is going on in the world around you and figure out how to profit from it.
4. Kill humanoids and selling the cloth that they drop on the Auction House. This tip is good starting from early on in the game all the way up to the level cap. Cloth always sells well, especially to tailors.
5. Get the largest bags you can. Get 16 slot bags or larger as soon as you can afford them. You will make more money doing this because you will be able to farm more items to sell.
