I had a matching Bushtec trailer for my 1982 GL1200. That was 20 years ago. They were, and remain to be the best made motorcycle trailers built. When my family decided on getting a trailer instead of a Goldwing for our family motorcycle activities, we looked nowhere except for Bushtec.

Their purchase options are impressive. Their customer service is second to none. The ability to color match my 2003 VTX1800C was spot on. At no time have I ever second guessed my purchase or my trailer.

The Bushtec has enabled my family to enjoy our motorcycles like no other product on the market. It pulls behind the motorcycle perfectly and is only noticed when it is fully loaded, and by that only by the physical weight. The suspension is perfect and performs as promised. My wife comments quite often how it looks behind the VTX and how it handles behind me as we travel in the mountains and curves. Literally, every time we stop on our trips, we find ourselves in conversations with people over it. It’s not only fully functional, it’s quite the  conversation piece.

Since I am no stranger to pulling a trailer behind a motorcycle, the first day we had the trailer behind the VTX, we decided to do a Sam’s Club run. I figured it it would go into the shopping cart, it would go into the trailer. I believed I maxed out both the documented weight and carrying capacities of the trailer. All the following fit (to include a 52lb bag of dog food).

Again, zero issues or concerns pulling it. Loaded or empty.

The final picture was taken on the Royal Gorge in Canon City, Colorado.

One final note, As we left the Gorge, passing us going the other way was who I believed was Jim Peterson, and the “first AutoSport sale trailer“, behind his Wing (previous Bushtec Connect customer comment). What a good looking setup that was. Then again, I don’t think anything Bushtec sells is bad!

Here a few photos of thew trailer on my trike. I added a handle to the trunk lid and lowered the license plate and put spacers behind it to get enough clearance. Now you will have to admit this looks better than the photo on the web site. The first photo shows how much too long the tongue is. If this could be made the same length as the std trailer it would be fine.

Still a great trailer!

This is a very special edition POW-MIA Roadstar Motorcycle Trailer, developed this last Fall as a Special Edition trailer. We were partly inspired by Fred Rivera’s Patriotic Harley-Davidson and Roadstar we have featured on the website and blog quite a few times.

A few weeks back, Hawk received an email with a video of what we initially thought was a specially modified Tow-Tow Pet Trailer, with a cage added to the top of the trailer, along with a custom bone-shaped wing! Well, it turns out it was a Turbo+2 motorcycle trailer, with a very special modification – a cage for 2 Dachshunds!
