Had it up to here with the racist statements made by Trump? I know I have. If you are black and have ever had a racist doubt that you work where you work, graduated from where you graduated from, or simply live where you live, you know how the president feels right now. The president was technically pulled over for being the POTUS-while black. And like the rest of us, the Harvard educated, law review president, and former Senator has to produce identification.

Trump's birtherism, homophobia, exploitation, sexism....has gone on long enough unchecked. Here are a few online and offline voices that agree and are calling for you to boycott, sign petitions, and make your voice heard.:

1.Rice University Professor Douglas Brinkley calls for current Apprentice sponsors to stop supporting the show. More directly, he asks NBC to take the show off the air. Corporate sponsors of “Celebrity Apprentice” currently include: Enterprise Rental Car, Clorox, Sprint, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Walt Disney, and Groupon.

So come on black/progressive/famous/influential/rich/everyday people! Sign a petition, donate to an organization that speaks up on behalf of the people Trump maligns. I am sure everyone remembers, the "Sun city!": When any and everybody got together and said they wouldn't play resorts in South Africa, There needs to be a call for all celebrities with integrity to stop patronizing or playing at Trump Casinos or staying in his hotels.

As for the rest of us, we can start saying good bye to SNL, the Office....

The first Black woman to graduate from Vassar was Beatrix McCleary Hamburg. She's interviewed briefly in the video below.

There was another black woman who was actually the first, but she attempted to pass for white:

I happened upon this video on Facebook. I've been contemplating the meaning of time in African Diaspora cultures. Some people refer to it as Africa Time. According to Dr. Orville Boyd Jenkins, EdD, PhD, there is a concept of "Africa Time:"

African Time
In the African view of time one might say that time flows backwards. It flows toward you from the future, and the more or faster the activity, the faster time flows. Time is created, in a sense.
Time is not something in itself. Life is made up of events, defined by relationships. Time is a component of the event.
Your activity really determines the amount of time that passes. Thus the faster you work, the more time you use, because more activity is occurring, more energy is being used. If you are sitting and resting, you are conserving time. Time is not actually passing; it is simply waiting for you.

AS I think about how African Americans plan for, or don't plan for a future, or always feel as if time and planning happens to them or on top of them, I think maybe it is beacuse fo our innate sense that linear time is unnatural.
