Bravo TV’s Around The World In 80 Plates Tweet Challenge is in NYC Today

Bravo and Infiniti have exclusively partnered on a location-based social contest that encourages fans to tweet #80plates in order to unlock 10 secret locations across the US through an interactive map on http://www.bravotv.com/challenge and on Bravo mobile. Each week, fans will race to find the hidden plane tickets to that week’s featured destination on the show including Argentina, China, England, France, Italy, Morocco, Spain, Thailand, the United States and Uruguay. Infiniti is one of the official sponsors of “Around the World in 80 Plates,” which premieree on Wednesday, May 9 at 10pm ET/PT. Today, secret location is in New York City with tickets to Barcelona, Spain waiting for one lucky fan!

The location of the tickets will be revealed through an interactive map on BravoTV.com and on Bravo mobile Bravotv.com/challenge. Starting with a map of the US, the contest goes live at 12pm ET every Wednesday and the only way to get the map to zoom in and pinpoint the location of the tickets is by tweeting #80plates on Twitter.

Players will have to encourage their friends to participate because the more tweets received, the faster the location will be discovered. When the map finally uncovers the city, fans must race to find the secret location. The first person to locate the tickets on the windshield of an Infiniti JX, wins the plane tickets.

Bravo will be on-site to capture each week’s “winning moments,” which will be posted on BravoTV.com and Bravo mobile the next day. All The Cool Kids Want To Drink Skinny

You know, I’m about to have a major braggy hipster-esque moment, but stay with me.

I liked Skinny Water, before it was cool.

A few years ago, I was introduced to Skinny Water while at a party in New York. I waited impatiently for it to hit California, but it finally arrived, and I did feel a little smug. I knew how good Skinny Water was before everyone else here on the left coast.

Ever since then, everyone wants to be like Bee. Halle Berry, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kristin Cavalari and Fergie, from the Black Eyed Peas, have become Skinny Water fans. Such the trend setter, I know

Now, I know all my little bees want to know just why I like Skinny Water. Here it is. Get a pen.

Their unconventional flavors mixed with electrolytes, antioxidants, and vitamins, taste really good.

If you’ve been following my twitter feed, I’ve been sharing my thoughts on the flavors.

My go to flavors are always citrus based, so the Total –V Lemonade Passionfruit, Sport Pink Berry Citrus, and Orange/Cranberrry/Tangerine are right up my comfort zone. Definitely not overly sweet, easy to drink, but a little kicky with the mix of flavors. But not to far off of the beaten path.

The one that surprised me the most ws the Skinny Sport Water – Shape Goji/Black Cherry. My initital post said “Not sure what I think about the taste of gohi/black cherry. I like the electrolytes for sure” It was tangy… but kind of just not anything I was expecting. Must have been the goji berries. And I didn’t really like it, but I drank the whole bottle anyway since it had all the other goodies in it. It has since become my new mix it up flavor. I’m still loyal to citrus, but there’s something about the unusual twist of the goji/black cherry.

Where can YOU find Skinny Water? I find mine at Target, and Vons. And if you follow Skinny Water on Facebook, they often let you know where they are on sale that week! Usually for $1 or less! So try it out. Think of the yummy electrolytes :-)

It’s a Tug Of War Between the Families Tonight Real Housewives of New Jersey

Oh this isn’t good. The feud between the families, ok mostly between Teresa Giudice with her husband Joe against everyone else, is starting to focus on the children.

It’s one thing for the parents to act like children and fight with each other *on camera for the world to see no less* but to start pulling the kids into it? Really?

In less than a week, Busy Bee Blogger and Life, Beyond the Bandaids will be co-hosting an invite only blogger networking event, “Pretty As A Pin Up presented by Sensa Weight Loss“ , in San Diego North County at Fifty Barrels Wine Group! A select group of bloggers are invited to mix and mingle but with a twist on the usual networking party.

All women attendees are being asked to bring out their pin up girl. Red lips, black liner and heels! The guys are asked to go retro or classic in a suit. How fantastic is that? A room full of pin up girls, all getting to meet each other face to face.

What Makes You Refreshingly Different?

We’re all different, in some way. But what makes you REFRESHINGLY different from your friends?

Me? I’m a fantastic coupon and bargain shopper and a pretend pin up girl. Those two things together aren’t that common with my group of friends but I sure am proud of them. Can’t you tell?

James Bond “Skyfall” Teaser Poster Released

Oh that James Bond, he’s such a tease. The teaser poster for the newest James Bond movie, the third for Daniel Craig, has been released. And it’s already classic to me. The well known target scope, and 007 in a suit, carrying his gun. Slick.

The pic was posted to 007.com. It doesn’t tell us much beyond what you likely already knew. Craig is back in the tuxedo for his third Bond adventure, which will be the 23rd chapter in the long-running series. American Beauty helmer Sam Mendes directs the story, which is supposed to pit Bond against Javier Bardem and test his friendship with M (Dame Judi Dench). [Fandango]

As a Bond fan, I really am excited to see this and cannot wait to see how it all comes together. Even though it will be Judi Dench’s last Bond film. The boys come and go, but I will miss her most, I think.

Disco Queen Donna Summer Has Died

TMZ is reporting the the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer has passed away at the age of 63 after a long battle with cancer.

Man, I love to get going with a little Summer when I have the house to myself. Love to Love You Baby, Bad Girl, Hot Stuff, Last Dance…

Our prayers and thoughts go out to her friends and family.
