Marriages go astray for many different reasons. Infidelity, lack of communication, physical and mental abuse by one or the other spouse. Cheating is the biggest reason for divorce. That being said, that doesn't mean that whomever decided to look outside their marriage did it for lack of sex or even a better sexual partner.

I could go into many reasons why people cheat. However, that isn't what I am trying to convey. I asked the question on the Butlerway Facebook page, "If your spouse cheated would you take them back?" After reading some of the responses, I realized how convoluted this issue can be. That is not a yes or no answer to that question. I have to imagine for many of us it would depend on who and what kind of a relationship you have with your partner. It's easy to get emotional and say no way would I will ever take a person back after cheating on me. Often times those same people who said no would ultimately stay in those relationships. Is it because of children? That they were actually very happy with their partner until they found out about their infidelity? Or maybe the relationship was just a one night stand. Whatever the case may be, for some under those circumstances they can at least try to forgive.

For me personally, as we try to be honest and real here at the Butlerway.com. My initial thoughts are NO, I would never take my wife or girlfriend back if they went outside of our relationship. That's me! Very seldom do I respect men that do. My gut feeling is many guys feel the same way based on conversation and small talk I have been privy to. The idea of some other man being in sexual relations with my wife disgusts me and she for sure would have to go. My after thought here is that every relationship is different so I cannot judge anyone for staying. When two people are involved in a relationship many things can happen. There isn't a blueprint for how a person will or should respond to infidelity.

That takes me to what Kerry Ann and I were talking about last night. How people divorce too quickly or without any effort to improve the situation. Maybe that also comes down to my previous point about how every marriage is different. We believe that most hurdles can be overcome and worked through given some time and real effort on both partners.

Butlerway's 100 Most Sexy People in the World 61-65

Thursdays have become a favorite day around here.

I think the word negative is over used in today's world. If you take the time to absorb most negative things or people for that matter, the word negative just becomes a mere metaphor. If someone is coming down on you, you can do one of two things-- Cry fowl or find out where their negative attitude toward you is coming from. Are they right? If so, improve! If not, brush it off and move on to bigger and better things. Life is too short to surround ourselves with haters. Or if you need to after some reflection, turn that negativity into a positive for you.

The important part of this is that you do have to really take a look at yourself to see if there is room for improvement. Kids, animals, and even athletes have to be disciplined at times. Does that have to be construed as negative? I say no! Improve yourself instead of taking every little word to heart that a superior or a friend says to you. Those of you that search out so called positive people when in need, how about searching for the truth? Too often we shut our minds off from using our critical thinking skills. Social networking is part blame for it. Looking around at the way most people engage each other about important issues is alarming. I'm not saying that you should want a person around who is always drowning you in negative conversation about themselves or others. Just take the time to access what some may perceive as negative. It might just be the total opposite.... POSITIVE!

Get excited when someone says or does something negative to you. I use it as a tool to become a better individual.

When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong: The Tiquan Underwood Story

Imagine it's the day before the biggest game of your life and someone tells you your services won't be needed. A childhood dream cut short just hours before it was to be realized. That's what happened to wide receiver Tiquan Underwood on Saturday when the Patriots released him to make room for some defensive lineman.

I understand sports is a business and no one is bigger than the team, but cutting someone the day before the Super Bowl seems like cruel and unusual punishment to me. I'm sure Tiquan had his family fly into Indianapolis, told all his childhood friends to watch for him on TV, and had his jeweler size up his finger for a championship ring. Instead of being on the field, he was eating
nachos and hot dogs somewhere just like the rest of us.

To his credit Tiquan handled his release with extreme professionalism. He thanked the Patriots organization for the opportunity and wished them well. He even went so far as to mention the owner's wife Myra Kraft as an inspiration. Personally, I would have caused such a raucous they would have had to call security to come get me. I would not have been able to control my rage and disappointment.

Playing with someones emotions like that is bad karma and the Patriots got what they deserved. Clearly they were over analyzing the situation and in the process forgot (or didn't care) that there are human beings wearing those jerseys as opposed to cattle that can be discarded on a whim. When you try to out think a problem it typically
backfires on you. In an attempt to gain immortality the Patriots organization sacrificed their scruples and morals. I hope they learned their lesson.

Random Celebrity Observation: Beyonce Don't Be Jennifer Lopez

Don't do it.

Simon Cowell and the X Factor is probably a excellent show. Great rating and what not. Right? Now you will have to excuse me for not being able to elaborate. To be honest I don't have a clue to what the X Factor is about (don't worry, I just told Paul that X Factor is just like American Idol). The only thing I have grasped is that Simon Cowell is the creator. I will hold my observation of him for another day. What I do know is that a gorgeous lady who could dance, sing, and act a bit had it all and decided to join the cast of American Idol. When I heard this I knew it was a big mistake. AMERICAN IDOL! Really!?!? Reality TV and not to mention Paula Abdul was on there before you. Come on Jennifer, you came from "Bennifer" status and she has always managed to remain somewhat mysterious despite being in the media all the time. American Idol is a major mistake. So I recently heard that they offered Beyonce a significant amount of money to judge on the X Factor. I'm going to go on record to say that I expect more out of Beyonce. My guess is she will look and realize that reality TV for established stars isn't good. Remember, Jennifer Lopez went from some good music and movies to sitting on TV weekly with a panel of creepy looking people. Those that question my post. Where are the movies at? Lopez was on a role. Now she is just some judge on a show that the people that do watch it do not understand the music industry. Beyonce and Jay will not make that same mistake. That is my celebrity observation.

Creepy. Beyonce, do not make this mistake.

When
you sit in a dark room watching the work of a masterful filmmaker woven into a
brilliant narrative web, it just feels right.

I
have heard a professional critic or two along with scores of “armchair
quarterbacks” complain about the lack of action and structure of David
Cronenberg’s new film “A Dangerous Method.” The
first thing I want to say regarding one of the major critiques I’ve heard of
this film, “it’s too talky”. Ummm, the film is about the two forefathers of
modern day psycho-analysis, known as “Talk Therapy”! What
did you think you would see in this film, Viggo
Mortensen (Eastern Promises & The
Lord of the Rings Trilogy) and Michael
Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) rapelling from buildings and fighting to
the death while wrapped in towels in an Eastern European bathhouse??

Yes,
this is a Cronenberg film and many of his films have a dark, gritty, violent
streak running through them, but they are also brilliantly shot, emotional
rides that never truly disappoint. In
my humble opinion , A Dangerous Method
was a riveting film full of human emotion, frailty and good old fashioned
jealousy. The structure of the film is a bit soft, I agree there aren’t as many
of the usual plot sign posts, this film lives and dies in the dialogue and
characterization. The
film is the third collaboration between David
Cronenberg and Viggo Mortensen. Mortensen
portrays the famous sex- obsessed psychiatrist, Sigmund Freud. Michael Fassbender who came to my
attention, during 2010’s “Inglourious
Basterds.” is excellent as Dr. Carl Jung. The
story revolves around the mentor-protégé relationship between Jung and Freud. The film is set in Austria and
Switzerland from1904 to 1914. The opening frames of the film are brimming with
a magnificent portrayal of psychic distress bordering on madness from actress Keira Knightly. Knightly, best known for her turn as
Elizabeth Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean films, plays Sabina Speilrein, the severely mentally
disturbed yet brilliant daughter of a Russian Jew industrialist. Sabina is forcibly committed to the
grandiose asylum where Dr. Jung is on
staff. The
story unfolds as Carl Jung realizes
that Sabina is the perfect patient to
administer Freud’s controversial
”talk therapy" to.

With
her jaw jutting out at an unnatural angle, Keira Knightly’s Sabina oozes pain.
This performance alone is worth your price of admission. Vincent Cassell (Black Swan) gives a small yet memorable turn as
another psychiatrist Dr. Otto Gross,
an overly bohemian therapist with a
penchant for never suppressing an animal urge. This unethical behavior lands
him in Dr. Jung’s care. Dr. Jung
is supposed to be the ethical influence Otto needs. Instead Dr. Gross’s seductive lack of morals
opens a door to Jung’s psyche that he
can’t and doesn’t seem to want to close. And
of course, there is the father-son relationship that unravels and shows itself
to be uniquely human between Jung and
Freud. The two cutting edge shrinks
ultimately disagree on the exact route to travel down their newly unchartered
path to emotional freedom. This film is exceptionally well crafted, if you pay
attention.

I
tend to write about films that take a bit of effort to appreciate and enjoy.
Don’t label me as an “art house chump”
just yet; I like the occasional e-ticket ride with more thrill than substance.
But, I believe a steady diet of finely crafted stories that invigorate your
cerebrum, the part of your brain responsible for intelligence, rather than
simply a liquid diet of pure adrenaline will make the trip more satisfying in
the end.

Charlize Theron is so beautiful it's hard to believe that she has played some of the roles that she has and was amazing and unforgettable.

I was somewhat surprised when Paul suggested Evan Rachel Wood because when I hear her name, all I think of is dating Marilyn Manson. However, I do have to agree that she cleans up well and is very appealing.

Wendy Raquel Robinson...remember The Steve Harvey Show? Recently she has been on The Game, a show on the CW and one of our favorites. This is what 44 looks like.

We were watching a movie the other night and this girl knocked us out with her body. Seriously, Kelly Overton is beautiful and apparently a track and soccer star, hence the shape she is in.

Dilshad Vadsaria was on Greek, her most notable role to date. Her exotic beauty is stunning.

After spending a great deal of time convincing the panel
that the Island will be a democracy in due time
with their financial support, Edward thanked them all for coming and told them they have already made a step in the right
direction by showing up.

For such an important event in history, an event that those present had no idea what they were part of yet. Upon exiting,
everyone was given a folder with details of how to move forward and invest if they wish to do so. Many were intrigued. Some were not. A few didn't know what to think.

Several days later Edward announced to the media that he, along with the current leader of the country, Mr. Grannum will be giving a tour of the Island to those who wish to attend. In his
charismatic voice, Edward invited people from all over the world. He encouraged those from all
walks of life. Whatever country whether it be from Africa, Europe, Japan, China, and the Middle East. He
implored them to come see this paradise. Our Island is a place where one day there will be
no starving children, racism, very little crime, and a real democracy. Not a
hypocrisy where the people that govern you only look out for their own
interest and bank account. This will be a safe, clean haven for good people.

The story of Mr. Johnson
purchasing this beautiful little island in the Caribbean picked up steam in
the world news. Thus spawning others becoming interested in buying the island. A very
powerful group of French business men led by billionaire financier, Drago Moreau
who coincidentally has close ties to former President of the United States, Robert Fredricks. Drago
and his coharts offered Mr.Grannum a much bigger purse to buy the Island. The talk around the political world is that
Grannum really believed in Mr.
Johnson so he will only sell the Island
to him. Grannum's plan was to continue residing on the island when Edward takes power. Mr. Grannum had put a great deal of thought and consideration into the sale of this Island and how important his decision is to who the buyer is. That is how to make this tiny country great. He didn’t randomly pick Edward, Grannum did his research on Mr. Johnson
first. Much to the chagrin of the wealthy French business man Drago Moreau.

Over the next few months everyone is talking about Mr. Johnson
buying the little pristine island. Some hated the idea of a man like Edward having so much power. Others loved it. Out of nowhere and somewhat suspiciously coincidental, Edward
Johnson was investigated for
tax evasion. He held a press conference denying all charges. The powers that
be are trying to make it difficult for him to buy the Island. Edward understands what really happened and explained, "You see, if they charge me with tax evasion they can freeze my income stream. Soon you will know who they are. They want the Island or should I say our Island.
Because I want you, the people to become part of this great paradise that I
still intend to purchase for the people."

Lawyer by his side, Edward walks off the
podium. Sometime later that month Edward and his wife Abagail decide it would
be a good idea for him to leave America with the pending tax evasion charges if
he really wished to go through with the purchase. A difficult decision but Edward fled to his new
homeland leaving his wife and kids behind. Abagail and the children planned to join
him after the kids finish the school year. US
authorities pressed Mr.
Grannum hard to return Edward back to the US with no avail. There is no extradition treaty with the small tropical island leaving the US governments
hands tied.

Recently there have been numerous stories about high profile athletes squandering their fortunes. Whether it's because of bad investments, crooked accountants, lavish lifestyles, or taking care of too many people athletes are ending up bankrupt. It's difficult for the average person who goes to work everyday to understand how someone can lose 50-100 million dollars in the blink of an eye. If they followed my 20 million dollar rule this would never happen.

The 20 million dollar rule is simple. Set aside 20 million dollars of your career earnings, invest in a conservative proven commodity, and live off the interest and dividends for the rest of your life. The window of opportunity to make exhorbitant amounts of money is small, but the benefits (if you plan and save) can last you a lifetime.

Unlike most people high profile athletes are constantly in contact with highly influential people that have obtained a high level of success in their life. It's easy to collaborate and go into business with the expectation of capitalizing on their wisdom and knowledge.

If you invest 20 million dollars in something that makes a modest 8% a year you can earn 1.6 million dollars a year or roughly $135,000 a month. How many people in the world even make $135,000 a year? The sooner you start the program the more lucrative it becomes and the less these athletes have to worry about financial ruin. Money comes and money goes, but the more you have the greater your chances of controlling that timeline. Sometimes mathematics can actually change your life.

And no, not because I am gay but because I recognize a sharp man when I see one. Rob has set the bar for a male model to levels parallel to when Tyson Beckford came on the scene for Ralph Lauren Polo years ago.

I like to see this. Givenchy is a much higher end brand name than RL Polo and very seldom do you see black male models being sponsored by such extravagant fashion houses. This definitely shows the world of fashion does understand that men of color in general are more than capable of projecting a positive, strong image for their brand name. Rob will go on to bigger and better gigs because of his pure good looks, dedication, and he is photogenic like no other.

Movie Review: “We Need To Talk About Kevin”

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

“A brilliant, yet severely
disturbing portrait of the mother of a teenage sociopath”

By Jonathan Chauser

I was “Jonseing” for a really impactful “Indie”
movie experience, so I ventured out to my “not so local” art house
theater. There I found a disturbing and
thought-provoking gem awkwardly titled, “We need to talk about Kevin.”

The
film stars Indie matriarch, Tilda Swinton (Broken Flowers, Michael Clayton) as Eva,
the seemingly innocent birth mother of an evil spawn. Ezra Miller (City Island) plays the
teenage and most brutal version of “Kevin,” although there is no
possible way you can rid your mind of the uncomfortable, menacing stare of Rock
Duel or Jasper Newell. These
three excellent young actors make up the antagonist, “Kevin” from toddler thru
teenage sociopath.

I
had no previous knowledge of this film before I decided this would serve as my
“Fix.” I watched the trailer on my smart phone and I was intrigued. I had no
idea what I was in for. This superbly paced and shot film was written and
directed by a woman unknown to me. Lynne Ramsay, a native of Glasgow
Scotland, banged out one of the most disturbing, fearful, provocative pieces of
cinematic storytelling I may have ever seen, and I watch a lot of movies.

“…Kevin” starts out running a
macabre audio visual gauntlet that you don’t completely understand, but has you
rapt to attention, and as the film progresses you come to enjoy and in my case,
appreciate these audio visual story telling elements, as weird and disturbing
as they are.

Being
a writer, I love dialogue, but there really isn’t that much in this flick. As I
have come to learn from my film studies, the art of cinematic storytelling lies
not just in dialogue, but also in the cinematic language.

This
film makes use of numerous focal changes, long shots of its main characters
face, allowing us to drink in the haunting visage of Swinton’s, Eva and the
grief and at many times debilitating sorrow of her unfolding predicament.
Fairly early on, Ramsay has the wonderfully confident nerve to just settle on
an extreme close up of her teenage killer’s freshly bitten-off fingernails,
placed neatly in an eerie row on the table in a prison visiting room. In this
shot we, the audience, never actually see Ezra Millers face, just the cool
detachment of a sociopathic killer, which permeates the rest of the film, all
without a stitch of dialogue!

The
film also includes another of my favorite character actors, John
C. Reilly (Step Brothers, Gangs of New York, Cyrus) and film nuts like
myself will recognize the gaudy presence of Siobhan Fallon, the rest
of you will walk out of the theater saying “I love that actress, what was she
in again.”

Those
wonderful character actors aside, “We need to talk about Kevin” really
only needs two characters, Tilda Swinton and the marvelous
performances given by the three actors that make up “Kevin.” I am fully aware that 80% of the popcorn audiences that patronize most Cineplex’s
will not “get” this film, but that is why we have Art house venues, the last
vestige for those of us that don’t need our films to always allow us escape to
some over-caffeinated, goofy, action filled wonderland, but actually transport
us into someone’s disturbing, all-to-close to home reality, that is as long as
the filmmakers have the “chops” to make the trip worth the ride.

So,
I say emphatically, “We need to talk about Kevin” is a must see film! One that you
won’t forget whether you want to or not!

Rated R

This week we have some very good looking men that you may or may have not heard of or seen before.

Yep. Anthony Gallo. Male model for Sean John, Phat Farm and Ambercrombie to name a few and possibly one of the best products of 1981. Whew:

Soccer fan? If you aren't, some could be based solely on the sexiness running up and down that field. As popular as soccer is in America, it is huge everywhere else. These guys are enormous celebrities. Meet Oguchi Onyew, American born and is now playing for Portugal.

George Clooney has been wooing us with his charisma and style for years and I was glad a reader suggested him.

When the "new" 90210 came on a few years ago, we were skeptical as we are the famous zip code's original fan base. Tristan Wilde was a nice addition. A good looking, all-American kid added in and we have caught him in other roles. He is versatile and will be around for years to come.

Another soccer player, you're welcome. Cristino Renaldo has been on Butlerway before because he is a handsome guy that gets fashion. Important combination, wouldn't you say?
Visit Cleavie's Website

I got the opportunity to watch ESPN's documentary The Brady 6 before the AFC championship game on Sunday and it gave me a better perspective on Tom Brady. After falling all the way to the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL draft Brady has a Stonehenge size chip on his shoulder that constantly fuels him to prove his detractors wrong. The pain and disappointment of watching 6 quarterbacks taken before him (only one is still playing football) motivates him to achieve greatness.

Following the Patriots victory over the Baltimore Ravens Brady became only the 2nd quarterback in NFL history to play in 5 Super Bowls. A win would tie him with Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw as the only quarterbacks to win 4. No matter what criteria you use to
measure success Brady is the best quarterback

ever.

There are some that would say Peyton Manning is a better quarterback. In his absence the Indianapolis Colts went from a playoff team to the worst team in football losing 10 more games than the previous season. Some would say Joe Montana was a better quarterback. The San Francisco 49ers were the dominant team of the 80's and Montana's clutch performances in big games are what legends are made of.

Those arguments are compelling until you take a look at what Tom Brady has been able to accomplish. Brady is the only player in NFL history to win the MVP award with a unanimous vote, the quarterback of the highest scoring offense in NFL history, the only quarterback to throw for over 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns, and has the most playoff wins.

He's not the biggest, the strongest, or the most athletic, but the intangibles Brady brings to every game are what separates him from the rest. So long as he approaches the game the same way he has for the past decade his place in NFL history is set. Anyone disagree?

Janet. How many memories do we have of her, her music and her performances? Her beauty and talent continues into her 40s and we will always love Miss Jackson.

Megyn Kelly is an anchor on Fox News and has been called too sexy for the news.

We were watching a movie the other night and Kate Bosworth was in it. We couldn't think of her name because she has this ability to look different in roles. She was naturally beautiful and that is all that matters to us.

Gabrielle Union is gorgeous and has always been a favorite. We have had her on before, just as photo of the day but she definitely deserves a spot on this list.

Cate Blanchet is an actress held in high regard as she is versatile and immensely talented. And let's not forget, stunning.

Not saying that we don't enjoy each other in the obvious way but when I think of romance, I picture roses, candles strewn all over the house with the all the lights off and then a candle-lit dinner, dressing up in sexy lingerie and followed dessert. Sound like a chick movie? Sorta, right?

As romantic as this looks, this is a fire hazard waiting to happen at our house.

Maybe it's just our personalities or that we met so young or that we have 2 kids and are busy. We don't have time for the full romance deal. That doesn't mean we don't spend time together alone or that we don't love each other, it just means we never went this route. That also doesn't mean it's too late to start or maybe we will continue to skip right to the good stuff. That being said, when we were approached to write a post about Lingerie and other "romance" items, we hesitated. It's a British website and features Lingerie from Ann Summers The more I started looking at the selection, I was sold and couldn't wait to order some things and also share what we found.

Emma Watson is young but she knows about shopping for good undies.

So yes, all the pricing is in the British pound and even with the dollar being worth less, the pricing is not bad. Two bras for 25 or $38 US is not that shabby for quality. If you are thinking that shipping is going to cost a small fortune. Wrong. Free shipping on international orders over 35 pounds. Again, great deal!

You could get really creative with the romance and buy yourself a sexy fancy dress costume or get ready for next Halloween. You choose. Finally we live in a place where dressing up as something sexy for Halloween would not require also freezing to death.

It is nice to find another source for sexy undies because as much as we love the popular American store and website, it's great to have the option for variety. I love online shopping and the fun thing is when I bought some items from Ann Summers, I didn't tell Paul. Not because he would care that I shopped but because I just wanted to surprise him with my purchase. It was mostly for him and he was really happy to see it on. So I guess we are sort of romantic in our own way and that works for us. We have our own style and Ann Summers has something for all couples and/or individuals.

Girl not included in purchase.

I find it completely repulsive that in 2012 the person you have (or had) a relationship with is more newsworthy than your performance on the court. Last night I watched two basketball games where the main storyline wasn't wins or losses, but rather the marital status of the players. How fitting in this age of reality television both marriages in question involved someone named Kardashian.

Unless you're an avid basketball fan Kris Humphries was a relative unknown before his courtship of Kim Kardashian. Their relationship and ultimate marriage made him popular beyond his wildest dreams. After a ridiculous 70 day union that ended in divorce Kris went from being plastered on the cover of every major magazine in America to the most hated athlete in sports. More hated than Michael Vick (dog fighter), Ben Roethlisberger (attempted rapist), and Manny Ramirez (steroid abuser). For a player that averages 10 points and 8 rebounds a game that's a pretty dubious distinction.

Lamar Odom went from two time NBA champion and 6th man of the year to an oversensitive malcontent for the Los Angeles Lakers. After almost being traded to New Orleans for point guard Chris Paul, Odom was so distraught he demanded a trade to the Dallas Mavericks. To make matters worse, he discovered the Lakers front office and players on his team thought his reality show with wife Khloe Kardashian had become a distraction and a waste of time.

I'm sure neither of these professional athletes expected their personal life to overshadow their play on the court and influence their careers in a negative way, but that's exactly what happened. They might be more famous (Kris Humphries is practically a household name) but that's not necessarily a good thing. If you want publicity and camera time marry a Kardashian. They'll make you a star. If you want a normal career in sports avoid those chicks like the plague. You can have one or the other, but you can't have both.

Often we talk about running, weight loss and health here at the Butlerway. I think we all know that regardless of what weight you are it's an every day struggle to meet and maintain your fitness goals. Some of us lack motivation and many of us just can't muster up enough energy to work out on a regular basis. There are a gamut of diet and work out programs that can get you into good shape.

But is just eating well and exercise going to keep you healthy? What about all the other nutrients that you can't get from food. After all, there is a new study from England that found organic foods are no more healthy than ordinary food. Another factor is most of us cook our food which vastly reduces those very same nutrients and vitamins you might of thought you were getting. The important health benefits are even more depleted if you cook them on high heat.

Professional athletes certainly don't just depend on a healthy diet to boost their energy and performance. They tend to have doctors or a team specialist to guide them toward the right supplements to maintain a high level of performance. Most of us can't afford to have someone pay that kind of attention to us.That's why when I was asked to write about a sports supplement company, I was both happy and hesitant. We don't like to write or promote products that we don't believe in. Having a son on the Autism spectrum and just finding a simple product such as melatonin, a natural sleep aid can be hard to find at both the large chain nutrition stores and grocery stores.

After spending some time on supplements from Predator Nutrition , I found it to be a great resource for nutritional products. They are based out of the United Kingdom and yes they do ship to the US. Guess what? Free next day delivery on orders over $60. Isn't that fantastic? You don't have to wait forever to get that boost you need. They have tons of products to choose from.

For those of you who want to build muscle. I would suggest their line of amino acids. We have all heard of amino acids as they have been around for years now and provide an excellent source of protein.

Are you under weight or too slim? Try their Extreme Mass product. At first glance it seams like a high quality product and it promises to help you gain weight without storing fat. Can you imagine buying some generic product and you end up doing just that? Storing a bunch of fat as if you have been eating donuts every morning.Or how a bout another source of protein? Try their whey protein powder. Add a couple of tea spoons of that with any smoothie and that should ensure you get the protein you need to strengthen your muscles and the one thing I always worried about with protein drinks was the carbohydrates. Well the carbs in the WHEY product come from fructose which is usually found in fruits and vegetables instead of Maltodextrin which you will find is industry standard. Maltodextrin is a polysaccharides it's used for a food additive. It is produced from starch and is commonly used for production of sodas and candy. Another reason to purchase products from Predator Nutrition. Remember, what we choose to put in our bodies can prolong our lives.

Caution: taking steroids can have this effect.

While we are on the subject of nutrition and fitness, I found a link that you might find interesting. We always think women are fanatical about their body image to the point of anorexia. Well, what a men who are obsessed with being big and muscle bound?. check the incredible bulk:a journey from fit to finantical out. My take is that a man should just be lean. Unless they are in body building competition. When men get too big they look very unhealthy andunorthodox. Especially if they didn't do it the natural way such as using products from a company like Predator Nutrition. Instead of steroids.

Hopefully he can find shirts that fit him with sleeves. Steroids?

that was until I really started eating better and running.

December 2011

With all the talk around here about Kerry Ann and her weight loss, a reader asked about my before and after pictures. She wanted to know if I would do a weight loss progression slide show. I will not do that because that's not my thing but we can understand her curiosity and all so I decided to post a couple of photos of me from back on July 22, of 2007. That is the exact date when they were taken. I don't say that to be proud either. Just to think, I thought I looked really good too. The weight gain came from all eating and drinking out with clients and friends. I was on many different work out programs that made me feel good. But as you see they did nothing for me until I got serious enough to start running. I always knew running would be the key, however, I did and still have a bad ankle that I used for an excuse not to run. Now that very same ankle has adjusted to the everyday grind of running to the point of only having a bad day occasionally.

Ultimately, I think if you found something that you do consistently and you keep pounds off then that is the way to go. That being said though, I think running is much easier to commit to than following a DVD, going to the gym to lift weights, or depending on some personal trainer to motivate you and that you have to pay for. I understand that I'm not some huge man or anything and I'm fine with that but remember, all I do for exercise is run. I eat pretty much what I want, drink alcohol occasionally and even skip days here and there. I'm very proud of my accomplishments for more than cosmetic reasons. I am much healthier and I am very mentally sound from all the miles of thought.

Butlerway's Random Celebrity Observation: Kendall Jenner

A few weeks ago we saw a photo of the Kardashian family all together which included the Jenners. What I observed was the teenage daughter Kendall is what us brothas call bad. I don't mean that in such a way as if she gets in trouble all the time either. What I'm trying to say here is that she is going to take both Hollywood, the Fashion Runways and the boys by storm when she hits her stride. Kim can't touch her! Not even close.

Trust me on this one, the Kardashians will die out very soon. Kendall will not pick up where they left off at all. She is going to reinvent herself to a class of her own in such away over the next 5 years that many of us won't even know that she is associated with the Kardashian clan.

ButlerWay's 50 But Now 100 Most Sexiest People 41-45

It's the time of the week again! 5 more sexy people!

Living La Vida Loco? Now you have that stuck in your head? You're welcome. Ricky Martin does have a way with that. Getting in your head. We have always appreciated his fashion sense and his love of Miami.

We know this is 2 singers in a row but this is our list and we can do it if we want. Plus, I'm sure we are forgiven by adding Enrigue Iglesias. Our mother's generation had his dad and we have him.

Tim Tebow was suggested by a reader. I don't know much about him except he is a rookie and kicking apparent butt. Which is important in his line of work. Love him or hate him, this kid is clearly going to be around for years.

Hill Harper, staring on CSI: NY and also, smart. Has a law degree from Harvard but follows his true love of acting.

Another suggestion of a reader...Jesse Williams of Greys Anatomy. Honestly, I haven't watched Greys for a few seasons so I didn't know who he was. So thank you, reader!

Missed any? Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3

This is something Edward has been thinking about, The Island. He hasn't really mentioned it to Abigail recently but the more he visualizes a private island, away from the every day craziness, crime, and social issues, the more the idea appeals to him. Eager to see if buying the coastal island
is a good idea, Edward assembled a group of affluent people. If he is going to actually do this and decides to
take on such an ominous project, Edward must have the support of
the who’s who of America to invest in the Island's
future. This is an enormous responsibility meaning the well being, safety and happiness of a very large population of people. Edward didn’t
take that lightly. The whole concept of this special, remote place is harmonious and peaceful existence for all The Island's residents. This group was comprised of a Scientist who won a Nobel Peace Prize, a world renowned heart surgeon, and even one of the wealthiest
men in the world. They are friends now but at one time he was at odds with him over vaccinations. That was just to name a few. In all, Edward was addressing to the group of about 35 men and
women. The average person would be star-struck by this assembly but to Edward, these were the people of his world and who would help create the atmosphere and ambiance of The Island.

Edward is known for his charisma and while many may be shy about asking for large financial contributions, he made it seem as if this paradise was a necessary essential to all of them. He easily sold the concept a special place. This was fundamental as the transition of
power alone is going to cost a abundant amount of capital. Edward assured them that they will be some of the first people to have an opportunity to invest in the island. Howard Weisman,
a political strategist interrupts Edward to ask him
if this country will be a democracy. As assured as this presentation is, there is always a naysayer but Edward is ready, "That’s a excellent question, Howard. It will be a much better democracy than the country you call home now."

"America? How’s that exactly." Howard asked, clearly assured that nothing Edward could say could convince him anywhere could even compare to the United States.

"You have to trust in me as an individual to be a stern leader
and decision maker. I am going to create a panel that will administer the
law and put a adequate system in place that should only improve with
time. I’m going to ask some of you great Americans to be on that panel. Howard, understand one thing. That is that the island will be free to those who
follow the law If not, they will be incarcerated or banned from the island.
All though there is a military in place already. I will need to enlist
the help of some ex-service members that I can trust to keep the
order. Until the transition of power is complete. This isn’t a
blueprint as I am in the pre-planning stages which is why I asked you here
to get your input."

LSU's Tyrann Mathieu is the best cornerback in college football and was a finalist for the 2011 Heisman trophy. He plays the game with reckless abandon and his fire and intensity are unparalleled. Given where he's come from and what he's had to endure it's hard to imagine what his life would be like without football.

Tyrann was raised by his uncle and aunt because his mother abandoned him as a young child and his father is in jail for murder. These set of circumstances have been emotionally and psychologically difficult to handle. All his life he struggled with the demons that haunt him and the feeling of inferiority. Whether it's concerns about being too much like his father (also a star football
player in the state of Louisiana) or questioning why his mother chose to raise all of his siblings but not him, Tyrann has unresolved conflicts that weigh on him like a ton of bricks.

Fortunately there's football. It gives him an opportunity to constructively channel all that anger, pain, confusion, and sadness. It's the outlet he needs to maintain his sanity. The football field is his sanctuary where no one cares about his past and he can excel on his own terms. The structure of a program like LSU and the accolades that come with his impressive play probably saves him from himself.

Tyrann Mathieu will most likely make millions of dollars in the NFL and become a household name before his 25th birthday, but that doesn't change who he is and where he's from. The game is what keeps
him grounded and gives his life purpose. Football isn't always entertainment, sometimes it's a life saver.

I wasted too many years being unhealthy and over weight. While people are amazed that I have lost 70 pounds, there are obviously people that have lost much more weight than I have. My sister-in-law, she is one of those people.

We are really proud of her. She decided that she wanted to be healthier and so she started eating better and working out. Over the course of a couple years, she lost well over 150 pounds. She got to the point where no matter how hard she worked or how good she was eating, she could not lose some excess fat and extra skin. After 3 pregnancies and 3 Cesarean sections, her abdomen muscles were not what they used to be.

While she was so happy that she finally was at a healthy weight and in really good shape, she was not pleased with her shape. She started researching and I will admit was completely against her doing any sort of plastic surgeries. We thought she looked wonderful and honestly, I have watched enough of those medical shows to know that it can be so dangerous and the recovery long and painful. We were worried about her.

Her Internet research was extensive and she started sending me links to read. She wanted our support. She wanted a tummy tuck and liposuction for obvious results, shaping and a bit of reconstruction.

Because of all her research, we slowly came around and supported her decision for surgery. We are happy to report that Vicki is recovering slowly but nicely. The surgeon removed 21 pounds of excess fat and skin. Once all the swelling goes down, my sweet sister-in-law will be a fit size 6. I cannot wait to see her even if it's much less of her.
The ladies are up again. We start this week off with "Dionne" from Clueless...Stacey Dash. She is ageless at nearly 45. You can see why she pulled off playing a teenager when she was nearly 30.

Drew Barrymore was suggested by a reader. Good one as we have all grown up with Drew. She was the cute kid sister in Poltergeist and the list goes on and on.

Who doesn't think Jessica Alba is gorgeous? Now even better that she has added kids to the equation. She is a true hot mama.

Remember when Angela Bassett played Tina Turner? Those arms and legs! She is still looking good and an amazing actress to boot.

Ashley Greene seems like a girl that will be around for years to come. She is, of course a part of the huge Twilight franchise and I'm sure more for this pretty girl.

It has been decided to extend this little fun. We hare taking this to 100! That means 50 sexy men and 50 sexy ladies. Suggestions are welcome!! Facebook is a good place for that.
