I managed to grab a Treasury after attending the Treasury Explosion Party... and explode it did. Just look at this pic Jared managed to grab at the time of the crash!

I was featured in the Etsy Teams are the Best treasury, compiled by fellow etsymom and etsyKids member, BeadedSocks. Much thanks to her for showcasing my Yellow Butterfly Hair Clip, perfect for infant and toddler hair. For more on Beaded Socks, visit her blog.

And as for my They're RICH! treasury, I chose rich colors, stemming from a search of magenta items a couple of days ago. I tucked each of these beauties into my favorites and prayed they didn't sell before I was able to use them (sorry!). We'll see if it's good enough to make the front page. *crossing fingers*

I am expanding the inventory at butterflybows.ets y.com daily. It seems to me that the more items I have available, the more likely I'll have something someone likes and wants to purchase.

The cable went out yesterday, and our Internet is through our cable company, so I didn't have much to distract me from creating. I made quite a bit of hair clips while Miss M was napping because of this. Today, I photographed them all because it was a beautiful, sunshiny day here... perfect for photographing! So, be sure to visit butterflybows.etsy.com regularly, as I will be adding at *least* one item a day, hopefully more as time (and Miss M) allows.

Miss M is still sick. This is day 11 of the stomach virus that has potentially become an infection of the intestines. Doctor has placed her on antibiotics, but they don't seem to be stopping the symptoms. She has popped tooth #4 out, though! Poor thing, having to be sick on top of teething.

Our first time

Miss M got sick for the first time this week. 9 months with no illness was a pretty good run, but man... when she gets sick, she gets sick! She couldn't come down with a simple yucky cold. Nope, she got the stomach flu. Poor thing got sick for the first time in the backseat of the car while going home from daycare. It continued the entire night.

Now, my sister has it... my six-month pregnant sister. She ended up in the hospital today because of it. Oops.

I will get back to posting shop promotions in a bit!

I am here. It's been a crazy past few weeks, but things are settling down again, and I can focus more on blogging finally.

I had to get a job. My days as a stay-at-home mama are numbered. BUT... I guess it's not as bad as it could be. I accepted a position at a daycare that REALLY wants me, and I get to bring Miss M with me. Won't be teaching preschool there like at the last one I worked for, just helping out with the kids. They just took over August 27th and need help getting everything pulled together. And I have experience. So... yeah. It's sad. But not as sad as it could be.

I have been working on more things for Etsy, and in the mean time have been renewing items like crazy. I have my Autumn Leaves Collection finished (a set of 5 felt hair clips, your choice of one). I have the materials pulled together for 5 more sets of ribbon-lined clips... a couple of floral patterns, a star pattern, a bright orange striped pattern, and a neutral tonal pattern. I'm also gonna use the orange ribbon to make an addition to my Cute as a Button clips and will be topping it off with a matching orange button detail. I've got the ribbon together to make at least 3 more pairs of bow clips, seen here. So be on the lookout for lavender, yellow, and multi-colored striped pairs soon. Red and Yellow Delicious apples are on the way, too, in case you aren't interested in my Granny Smith. Ummm... what else? Oh! I've designed a Frankenstein. I don't know if I'll be able to tackle him though, but I'm gonna try. I'd like to try a mummy, but I have a feeling I'm gonna run out of time. Maybe next Halloween.

And I've decided after Christmas, I'm gonna close this Etsy store, and open another because I want to make more than just hair accessories, but Butterfly Bows kinda limits me on my selling potential. Posting in the forums under Butterfly Bows isn't gonna attract people to my shop who are looking for, say toys.... or funky polymer clay creations... or magnets. I've already registered another name there, and when I'm ready to set up shop and make the switch, I'll let everyone know.

Oh! And while I've been away, I had someone purchase from me. It was my first sale to someone who has an Etsy shop. Sarah's Creations purchased the yellow Cute as a Button clip. And what's great is, she sells hair clips... among many other things. I sold my hair clip to another hair clip maker. Cool!!! She also sells socks, beaded and ruffled and ones with buttons, has a few burp cloths available, and make mini-totes and purses. Very multi-talented, she is.

I have hearts... and lots of them. So much for keeping up on them, huh? Hopefully, I'll be back later tonight to write about a couple of the shops. If not, I'll write tomorrow for sure! I haven't forgotten y'all!

My sister has taught Miss M how to clap when she spits. She says it's not her fault because she didn't teach her to do them at the same time, and that it's Miss M's fault for putting the two together. That's right, blame the 8-month-old.

That's alright. She's having her first baby in January. Payback time.

(I do have to admit, it's hard not to laugh when Miss M gets really going with the spitting/clapping thing... don't tell my sister, though.)

Mmm, potatoes!!! I love 'em -- baked, mashed, fried, au gratin... you name it, I like it.

Now as for Miss M, I gave her some mashed potatoes made with her milk. She wasn't having it. Major gagging on her part. I gave her some mashed potatoes prepared the way we eat them -- butter and a touch of salt and pepper. Again... no go. I gave her some mashed potatoes with melted cheese in them. Nope. A plain baked potato. Nuh uh. Baked with a little butter. Forget it.

She refuses them. No matter how they're prepared.

I could have sworn she was my daughter. Now I'm not so sure.

I was contacted through my Flickr account by someone interested in purchasing Raoul the Ghoul and Vaughn the Vampire. I directed the person to my Etsy store, so hopefully something will come of this. I'm so excited!!!

My shop has received another heart. This one is from Miss Bea Haven's Originals. This shop is filled with all kinds of adorable paper mache collectibles. Fifi made me giggle when I saw her. Check out the shop. If you like what you see, share the love and give it a heart!

My great-grandfather, which would be Miss M's great-great-grandfather, flew in from California this week, and today was the first time he got to meet Miss M. I think he fell in love immediately. Here was this 94-year-old man, sitting on the couch while playing with her feet. He looked up at me and said, "I'm too young to be a great-great-grandpa." Made me laugh. He doesn't look good at all, so I'm glad we get to spend this time with him, and he with her. I have a feeling there won't be very many more chances.

My mom enjoys spoiling Miss M by buying her things. I don't mind because it's money I save that can instead be put towards my crafting. Crafting money is always good. :)

Miss M's latest new toy from her Mamaw is a walker. She loves it. Can only go backwards in it right now, though. It's funny watching her try to go forwards. She'll lean her body forward and bounce up and down... doesn't try to move her feet. I guess it's just supposed to magically happen, LOL. That's alright with me. At least with her only being able to go backwards, I can predict what she's gonna try to get into.

Now this walker.... This walker has become a bed for two of my three cats. ( I'm an animal lover, can you tell?) It's so funny how they both crawl underneath it and sleep. The one in the picture uses the walker itself as a pillow for his head. I tried to take a picture of him doing so but when he realized I was nearby, he got up to come to me for some lovin' and I ended up with this shot instead.

Funny how they'll all cuddle with her toys or blankies, but not a one of them wants anything to do with her.

Vaughn the Vampire

My latest Felt Furry! I've named him Vaughn. Vaughn the Vampire. Vaughn "vants to suck you blood." Judging by his bright red fangs, he may already have. Muah-ha-ha!!!

Catherine Grace: Beautiful, delicate-looking items in this shop. Adorable baby bonnets, cute child-sized calico bags, scarves, baby and girls clothing, booties, quilts, and more can be found here. She's also a fellow member of Etsymom! Her waffle dresses are just too adorable. This one would be perfect for Miss M since she has a huge place in her heart for her doggie.

Craftlicious: Look here if you're needing a new avatar or banner for your Etsy shop. This shop also offers graphic design and web design services, as well as photo editing. I especially like the idea of this. What a great way to get the word out about your shop.

Acrylicana: First of all, I love the name of this shop. I wish I had been so creative when coming up with my shop's name. If you love the cutesy Japanese kawaii style like I do, this is the shop for you. Cute items made from polymer clay, stationary and stickers, prints, toys, and more are available in this shop. I can't choose which to show off because I LOVE kawaii! This one, though, got a great response when posted in the Etsy forums. Made me laugh.

Handmade by Maria: This shop sells clothing for the American Girl dolls. I loved reading the American Girls books when I was younger, so this shop feels like home to me. Right now, I'm going through a green phase, so this one naturally caught my eye.

Earthdream Inspirations: A shop filled with beautiful jewelry. This is another great place to look at if you're wanting to purchase a pendant or necklace. This one is my favorite. The wire around the crystal makes for an absolutely stunning piece.

Kimberquinn: Handcrafted creations by Kimber and Char. Kimberly is the mother, and Char is her 16-year-old daughter. I love it. Maybe one day, Miss M will be selling her own creations alongside me. Awwwwww. Alright, enough gushy mommy stuff and back to the shop promotion. This shop offers numerous bath and body products, scarves, candles, home decor, and jewelry. Mmm... this soap is perfect for the autumn months ahead.

Hafa Adai: Another heart I acquired by taking part in the Etsy forums. This is another store whose items I love. If you need tags for scrapbooking or gift-giving, definitely check out what this shop has to offer. Gosh, this is another hard shop to pick an item to show off because all are just amazing. I'm gonna have to keep these in mind because I'm gonna be an aunt come the middle of January, and they're perfect for all the gifts I know I'll be buying for him or her.

Beaded Socks: This heart was given to my adorable bows that I am truly surprised haven't been bought up yet. She's also a fellow member of Etsymom and EtsyKids. This shop sells socks with beads crotched onto them. All sizes are available -- newborn all the way up to mommy-sized. I absolutely love them all, but am holding off on buying a pair... or two, or three until Miss M gets a little older, only because she goes barefoot the majority of the time right now. I adore this pair. Again, I'm drawn to the brightly colored items.

GoldTone Designs and Treasures: Yay!!! Another Etsymom and EtsyKids member!!! She gave a heart to my cute butterflies. This shop sells adorable pillows -- nursery, travel, neck support, and breastfeeding pillows all available in adorable fabric... or you can customize your pillow to match your nursery decor or child's car seat. I have a love for butterflies, so of course I this pillow would be perfect for Miss M.

I think if I keep promoting my items and shop the way I have been, I'm gonna have to do a blog entry about the Hearts I receive a couple of times a day. They've just been snowballing! I'm so happy that so many people like my work.

In order to avoid redundancy and to cut down on the length of this blog, I am going to request here -- and only here -- that you visit each of these shops and heart them if you like something you see or like their shop as a whole. Share the love!

Trimweaver: If you need supplies, look here. Right now in the shop, ribbons, hair clips, appliques, and DIY bead kits are available to purchase. I definitely need to keep this shop in mind since I'm getting low on the clips I use for my Felt Furryz, and this shop has the size I use. I must say, this pig is adorable!

Tina's whimsy: This shop has so many items to offer... and they are all too neat! Jewelry, collages, photo prints, home decor, decorative boxes.... This photo print is what caught my eye. I'm always drawn to bright colors.

Creations by Cory: Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Amazing collage pendants and necklaces. Very colorful pieces. I love this shop... and I said so. That's how I received this heart, by complimenting the beautiful work this artist creates. It's so hard for me to pick a favorite from this shop, I love them all. But I must say, this personalized pendant would become a treasured possession for me if that was a picture of Miss M. Did I say all the items in this shop are beautiful? Just making sure.

This is by no means the end of my received hearts... there are MANY more, but I have to end this blog here. Miss M has woken from her very short nap in her new crib that she absolutely hates, and is pitifully calling for her Mama.
