I personally like celebrating the whole month as National Grandparents month. Grandparents are special people. We know them as caregivers, gift givers, special loved ones, family, friend, buddies, the people that are always there. Here’s a great way to give a U.S. service person a lift and show your appreciation for their service to our country. The Xerox Corporation has set up a website that gives you an opportunity to send a free printed postcard to U.S. military personnel stationed overseas showing your support and appreciation for their service and sacrifices.

Once there you can read what the troops have to say about receiving cards. Also you can view how some celebrities have said thanks to our troops.

You can’t send a postcard to any particular person, but you can choose from a lot of designs made by school children from across the country. You can choose from their collection of messages or send your own personal message.
