i bought this scooter last year for the purpose of car camping, as i have a bad leg. i recently camped at Natural Chimneys Park, VA, and was the envy of the entire campground with my scooter. there were so many people asking me about it, i probably could have sold 100 scooters that weekend! i would charge it overnight and the battery lasted dawn til dusk on that “rugged” terrain. chris at super cycles is a great guy to deal with too.
i gave it 4 stars only because it is very heavy, and hard for me to transport. i wish it was lighter. apparently the new 1000 watt scooter is significantly lighter because of the battery, though.

The battery last me about 16-17 miles (215 pounds) and I only have to charge it once a week. I can go about 27mph and down small hills it goes 35mph (measured by iPhone app). Now that I have it and the light rail line, I’ve been able to get rid of the second car. I love not having to pay for and maintain a car anymore! I’ve seen other electric scooters on the rail line, and none of them come close to this beast.

Oh and Chris is a real person and he is human. I receive the tracking email and it was being shipped to the wrong state. I called him and he had sent two to the same customer. So, he had to ship mine again and I got mine a few days late.

I have to say that I have been looking for a good toy and scooter like this for many months. I did a lot of reseacrch on this Super Turbo 800w Elite before I purchased it. I went to their website and looked at the videos they have and it helped my decision greatly.

When I first opened the box, it was very well packages and secure. It does weigh 95lbs so it was a little trickly getting out of the box for me. The instructions are very easy to follow to assemble it. Took me 15 mintues to assemble only because I was slow.

Once assemble I turn on and was impressed that the battery actual had a good charge. I did buy a flashing red light to put on the back because I think it is a good idea to have one especially at night. I started up the scooter and took it for a spin and I was impressed at how fast it was…and then I hit the Red boost button. This is like hit nitrous in a car. The scooter immediately went much faster. I tried going up small hills in the neigborhood and this scooter took it like a champion. It does go 25mph for me but then again I am 170lbs and 5″6′. I love way it handles. It is constructed very well and the shocks are very good. Not to be used like a dirt bike though.

All in all if your looking for a good scooter with nice pick up and go then look no further. This scooter is the one you have been looking for at a good price and even better for being electric. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new toy, camping, joy ride, or even run errands to and from the store. I use mine to go to and from the gym. Battery Life-
with a standard charge time (overnight or about 12 hours) both scooters can get about a weeks worth of run time on asphalt (about 8 hours). The children riding them are about 85 pounds and about 50 pounds. I can ride for about 30 minutes (at about 150 pounds)

Size reestrictions-
Both children can ride at fast but safe speeds. Our neighborhood was very hilly, and they were not noticably affected by hills. I ran the dog a number of times through the neighborhood and was able to keep up the equivilent of a light jog for about 2 miles, though I did need a little foot power to get up the steeper hills. (btw, not San Francisco steep, just steep enough to provide a good workout).

Off roading-
We recently moved to a rural area, and I was worried that the scooters would make their way to Craigslist. Not the case, both children are able to ride through our fields. It has reduced speed and battery life, but not by much. The tires are still holding up well. I can not reasonibly ride them on grass, but can ride them on a gravel road.

Overall, these are a great value for kids that like being outside and feeling the wind in their hair. They hold up well and still look great after a year.
