I think it’s inevitable that Justin Bieber tickets are so popular this year because his popularity has really cut through to the mainstream. Back when Usher first found him it was a big Internet YouTube sensation, and then of course the mass hysteria from all the young girls. Then he made the circuit on the national media, talk shows, award shows, New Years Rockin’ Eve – there really wasn’t a happening place the first few years you didn’t find the “Bieb”. I guess that was the beginning phases of the whole “Bieber Fever” thing.

Now, with several albums under his belt, and the whole (successful) live movie – Justin comes out with “Boyfriend” (I know, for most of us the ‘song you love to hate’). But, then again – this is the song that was so mainstream that soccer moms were singing it in their car. Now you have a much wider audience and parents that are actuallly ok with buying tickets and going WITH their kids to see Justin Bieber live because they (also) like the music. It’s just incredible how many special packages we’ve sold for these new dates in advance. One thing that was very popular (and we could’ve predicted this was that Justin Beiber Presale tickets were definitely very popular this last weekend.

For the metal fans Metallica Vancouver tickets were HOT! This is the Rogers Arena show.

We mentioned a bunch of times last week that Pink Floyd fans should get out to see The Wall live, but the Roger Waters Quebec shows were very popular.

The most popular show by The Boss last week was the Bruce Springsteen 2nd Fenway show

Country music fans unite, the hottest selling act week after week from Nashville is definitely Carrie Underwood. Her 2012 tour “The Blown Away Tour” is selling like hotcakes, especially Bridgeport, Pittsburgh, Orlando, and Philadelphia.

Canadian rockers are coming out in full force to support long time power trio Rush, and their biggest selling show right now is Rush Toronto.

Another big Canadian ticket right now is Peter Gabriel Canada.

Classic rock concerts are alive and well, showcased by the fact that the Chicago And The Doobie Brothers tickets are selling out all over – especially for Atlantic City at the Borgata.

This last weekend we saw a couple non-concert ticket entries make the top list as Jerry Seinfeld tickets were hot for Austin.

There’s been a lot of promo on TV for the upcoming July Nick Teen Choice Awards, which will be at Universal City hosted by Will Smith this year. By far the biggest selling tickets this week have been for Justin Bieber, because everybody seems to have “Bieber Fever” since these went on sale. Also, it seems that there are a bunch of people that can’t spell his name since we’re getting tons of searches for “Justin Beiber tickets” (lol). It seems like the hottest selling cities are the ones that you would expect for Bieber (Staples Los Angeles, Toyota Center Houston, Fedex Forum Memphis, The Palace Detroit, Philips Arena Atlanta, Amway Center Orlando, and American Airlines Arena Miami).

The thing we’ve seen over the years with Justin Bieber tickets is that people tend to want the perks – like the parking passes, VIP packages, suites, backstage meet and greet – that kind of thing. We’ve sold a lot this week, but I know for certain (right now) we have in stock VIP Bieber tickets in Miami, and the VIP Bieber package in Orlando with limo and pre-show dinner and drinks is VERY popular. The second hottest thing though is very consistent – with all kinds of sales and sell-outs for the British boy band sensation One Direction. Some say they’re the hottest new thing since the Backstreet Boys.

The seasons’s heating up folks, and Texas Rangers tickets in Arlington are very popular this week.

With the 2012 finale over now, we expected the American Idol Live tour tickets to be very popular, but I think when it came down to the last two (Philp Phips, and Jessica Sanchez), it has really pushed a lot of people to want to see the AI live show this tour. It wouldn’t surprise me if Dave Matthews Band tickets weren’t selling better because people can’t go see Philip Philips yet (lol).

It was big news last year when the Red Hot Chili Peppers came out with the “I’m With You” CD, because it was the first to (again) leave John Frusciante behind, and record with a brand new guitar player for the band Josh Klinghoffer. They say it was a no brainer since he was already a good friend of the band (he was a backup for them in 2007), but none of us were quite sure until the CD actuall came out. Now that Red Hot Chili Peppers tickets have gone on sale – I think we all want to get out there and see the show, because this guy rips (and we love RHCP anyway!).

Roger Waters tickets are still huge for “The Wall” show live (can’t see Pink Floyd – may as well see this!). Lots of upcoming shows in Vancouver, and Edmonton at Rexall and BC Place, but you’ve got the Joe Louis show in Detroit on June 5th shortly after that. Wow, seeing The Wall in Detroit kind of brings back old memories (what I do remember I guess).

No, The Book of Mormon isn’t the church – it’s a music on Broadway in New York (that’s hot, hot, hot right now). The Book of Mormon ticktes are on sale for Eugene O’Neill Theatre (Broadway) for just about every available date from now until May 19th (2013!).

Of course we can’t forget about the very popular Wicked theater tickets for sale – which by the way is now off broadway and travelling the world. I remember when Wicked was just a crazy book on the New York Times Best seller list. My daughter was a teen ager and got ahold of it, which we though was fine until we learned about some of the different sexual scenarios in it. Must be why it’s a VERY popular theater show for the last few years.

Something that was not on my radar at all were these Vicente Fernandez tickets that have been selling this week. I didn’t even know who this guy was? He must’ve been off my radar because he’s a Mexican singer and actor – but apparently this guy has filled stadiums to capacity time and time again and has more than 50 recorded albums! And he’s got MAJOR dates in major stadiums too, like US Airways in Phoenix, Pepsi Center in Denver, Allstate in Rosemont, Toyota Center in Houston, and even Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City in CA.

Since it’s coming up quick I don’t want to forget to tell you about the 2012 CMT Music Awards in Nashville on June 6th. Seriously – if you like country music why go and see one or two acts when you can see the whole damn awards show? It’s in Bridgestone Arena and we have tickts available starting at $59 all the way up to $500+ if you want the good seats! Maybe you’ll get seated next to a country music star or legend!

Looks like Weezer is coming to Hammond at the Horseshoe in Indiana. Do you want tickets to the show? Weezer is an 80′s and 90′s band that still putting out hits today just as good as their first album. You probably remember the Sweater Song or Islands in the sun, but the last few albums have been just as good. There was a talk a few years back of them retiring, but that never seems to last with a band as good as this one.

Often written off as “underdogs”, Weezer can fit just about any music mold from pop, rock, and their chosen slot in “alternative” music. I don’t care if they come accross as a quirky bunch of nerds or not, I love their music!
