What are the best hardware stuff for a computer (processors video sound cards etc)?

I’m trying to build a computer but dont know everything.

pick up a copy of PC Gamer magazine. in the Hardstuff section they always list the best parts based on how much you want to spend overall. that’s where i would start.

Can I install 2 Nvidia Geforce7600 GT KO graphics cards on one computer?

I’m thinking of whether or not to buy two Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT KO 256mb graphics cards for my computer. Is this possible?

Yes if your motherboard has 2 pcie slots and supports SLI you can… but for what 2 of those cost you could pick up a single 7950gt which has 512mb of ram and is probably faster then 2 7600gt’s.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache is this a pci graphics card?

The reason I want to is I want to upgrade my graphics card and want to make sure i buy the right one..

If you’re absolutely sure you have the TurboCache version then it’s a PCI-Express card according to http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce6_techspecs.html The vanilla 6200 (w/o TurboCache) could be used for both AGP and PCI-e, but the TurboCache model was PCI-e only.

I have a Compaq CQ 50 100EM, with a Winstron 360A mother board and im looking to purchase a new/better graphics card (My current card Is a 8200M G), can you help? Any help is greatly appreciated.

On laptops, video chipsets are built-in to the motherboard and cannot be changed once the unit leaves the factory.

Your can look into external graphics adapters like the ATI XGP or Asus XG station…

Video card problem – Reflow – PS3, XBox 360, NVidia, ATI chipsets, DV Laptops and Desktops

Video card/VGU overheats overtime and causes video to fail. This reflow trick applies to most HP laptop DV models, PS3, XBox 360 and some of the desktops.

Typical symptoms are screen flickers, blue screen dumps by the OS and automatic reboots, grey lines, dark screens (no video at all), system powering on and shutting off, no video and computer beeps to indicate a video problem, touchpad slows and freezes.

This approach will fix just about any graphics chip/GPU chip rise thermal damage Issue. You can apply this method to fix faulty video cards and XBOX 360s (can be applied to CPU and GPU on the gaming systems).

This particular demonstration is on a DV9000 laptop.
