Formulated for Excellent Engine Protection
and Performance
AMSOIL OE Synthetic Motor Oils help provide better wear control,
high- and low-temperature protection and increased fuel economy
compared to conventional oils. The oil drain interval recommendations
for many of today’s vehicles extend well beyond the traditional 3,000-
mile interval, some up to 12,000 miles with electronic oil monitoring
systems. AMSOIL OE Oils provide excellent protection and performance
for the entire length of the original equipment manufacturer’s
recommended drain interval.

AMSOIL, the leader in automotive synthetic lubrication, produced the
world’s first API-qualified synthetic motor oil in 1972. Trust the extensive
experience of AMSOIL, The First in Synthetics®, to do the best job
protecting your engine.

Improve Fuel Economy
Formulated with friction modifiers, AMSOIL OE Synthetic Motor Oils are fuel-effi cient
oils that reduce friction-related energy loss. They provide better fuel economy
compared to conventional, non-fuel-effi cient motor oils.

Maintain Low Emissions
AMSOIL OE Synthetic Motor Oils are friendly toward modern emissions control
systems, promoting proper operation of catalytic converters for optimum service
life and low exhaust emissions.

Protect in All Temperatures
AMSOIL OE Synthetic Motor Oils are multi-viscosity formulations. They resist the
effects of thermal breakdown, including evaporation and viscosity loss, while remaining
fluid in cold temperatures for easier cold starts and fast start-up circulation.

Keep Engines Clean
Fortified with high levels of detergent and dispersant additives, AMSOIL OE Synthetic
Motor Oils are engineered to resist sludge and carbon deposits better than conventional
oils. They promote clean operation for longer-lasting, better-running engines.

Bid Appropriate
AMSOIL OE Synthetic Motor Oils fulfill the requirements of most public and private
purchasing bids. They are cost-effective, making them ideal where synthetic motor
oil is specified.
Its low-viscosity formulation maximizes fuel efficiency without compromising engine protection, while meeting strict European performance requirements for gasoline and direct-injection diesel engines designed for low-viscosity oils. Formulated with low sulfated ash, phosphorus and sulfur (SAPS), AMSOIL European Car Formula 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil complies with modern emissions systems to provide optimum life and performance.
AMSOIL, the leader in automotive synthetic lubrication, produced the world’s first API-qualified synthetic motor oil in 1972. Trust the extensive experience of AMSOIL, The First in Synthetics®, to do the best job protecting your engine.
Stay-in-Grade Performance
Sophisticated European engines subject oil to severe operational conditions. Oils must demonstrate excellent high-temperature/high-shear (HT/HS) performance to maintain viscosity and provide adequate engine protection. AMSOIL European Car Formula 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil is engineered to stay in grade despite rigorous operation throughout the extended drain intervals European automakers recommend. Formulated with a select additive package and shear-stable synthetic base oils, it meets strict ACEA and VW HT/HS requirements to provide outstanding wear protection throughout the entire drain interval.
Low-SAPS Formulation
Excessive sulfated ash, phosphorus and sulfur (SAPS) in motor oil can harm modern exhaust treatment devices. Diesel particulate filters (DPFs), for example, require low-SAPS motor oil to resist filter plugging. AMSOIL European Car Formula 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil’s low-SAPS formulation promotes optimum emissions system performance and life, allowing reduced maintenance costs.

Maximum Fuel Economy
AMSOIL European Car Formula is engineered with a lighter 5W-30 viscosity and friction modifiers to reduce friction for increased energy through-put. It minimizes internal engine drag, providing an alternative for motorists currently using heavier-grade oils, but who desire maximum fuel efficiency.
Enhanced Turbocharger Protection
Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) engines commonly used in European vehicles require thermally stable oils that resist deposit formation and provide turbocharger cooling. Thermally stable oils help keep oil passages clean and promote fluid circulation so turbo bearings stay cool and lubricated.
AMSOIL European Car Formula 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil provides protection and performance for TDI systems in all temperature extremes. Its low pour point protects turbochargers against oil starvation and ensures rapid oil pressure in sub-zero conditions, while its thermal stability withstands high-temperature/high-RPM breakdown to resist deposit formations that can starve TDI systems of lubrication.
APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL European Car Formula 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil is formulated to meet or exceed the most demanding European specifications. It is recommended for European gasoline or diesel vehicles requiring any of the following performance specifications:

• VW 504.00/507.00
• ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4
• Mercedes-Benz 229.51
• BMW LL-04
• Porsche C30

SERVICE LIFE
Recommended for the extended drain intervals established by the vehicle manufacturer. Change oil filter at time of oil change.
COMPATIBILITY
AMSOIL European Car Formula Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil is compatible with conventional and synthetic motor oils. Mixing AMSOIL motor oils with other oils, however, will shorten the oil’s life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed.
Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL motor oils.
Extended Life 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil (XLF)

Extended-Drain Boost Technology
AMSOIL XL Extended Life Synthetic Motor Oils provide better wear control, high- and low-temperature protection and increased fuel economy compared to conventional oils. Formulated with extended-drain boost technology, AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils provide superior performance for up to 10,000-miles/six months, or longer when recommended in owner’s manuals or indicated by electronic oil life monitoring systems.
AMSOIL, the leader in automotive synthetic lubrication, produced the world’s first API-qualified synthetic motor oil in 1972. Trust the extensive experience of AMSOIL, the First in Synthetics®, to do the best job protecting your engine.
Extended-Drain Boost Technology
During normal engine operation, the combustion process creates acidic by-products that can lead to internal component corrosion and a reduction in the life expectancy of the engine oil and engine itself. Formulated with extended-drain boost technology, AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils employ high-quality synthetic base stocks and a unique additive chemistry to neutralize acids longer than conventional oils. The extra additive package effectively raises the Total Base Number (TBN), a measure of an oil’s useful service life, and provides superior protection and performance throughout the entire drain interval.
Lower Maintenance Costs
Cost-conscious motorists, business owners and fleet managers benefit from the extended drain intervals and wear protection of AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils. While frequent oil changes are expensive, time consuming and inconvenient, longer drain intervals reduce costs and environmental impact, while increased wear control can reduce maintenance costs. With AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils, motorists realize the convenience and cost savings of extended drain intervals while also providing vehicles with maximum protection.

Improve Fuel Economy
Formulated with friction modifiers, AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are fuel-efficient oils that reduce friction-related energy loss. They provide better fuel economy compared to conventional, non-fuel-efficient motor oils.
Maintain Low Emissions
AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are friendly toward modern emissions control systems, promoting proper operation of catalytic converters for optimum service life and low exhaust emissions.
Hot- and Cold-Engine Protection
AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are multi-viscosity formulations. Compared to conventional oils, they better resist the effects of thermal breakdown, including evaporation and viscosity loss, while remaining fluid in cold temperatures for easier cold starts and fast start-up circulation.
Keep Engines Clean
Fortified with detergent and dispersant additives, AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are engineered to resist sludge and carbon deposits better than conventional oils. They promote clean operation for longer-lasting, better-running engines.
Bid Appropriate
AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils fulfill the requirements of most public and private purchasing bids. They are cost effective, making them ideal where synthetic motor oil is specified.

APPLICATIONS
AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are excellent for use in all types of gasoline-fueled vehicles. They are recommended for all domestic and foreign vehicles requiring any of the listed performance specifications:

MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are compatible with conventional and other synthetic motor oils. Mixing AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils with other oils, however, will shorten the oil life expectancy and reduce the performance benefits. AMSOIL does not support extended drain intervals where oils have been mixed.
Aftermarket oil additives are not recommended for use with AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils.
SERVICE LIFE
In gasoline-fueled vehicles, AMSOIL XL Synthetic Motor Oils are recommended for up to 10,000-mile/six-month oil change intervals or longer when recommended in owner's manuals or indicated by electronic oil life monitoring systems. Change aftermarket, original equipment manuafacturer or AMSOIL Ea Oil Filter at every oil change.

As I approached the person/tech on duty to sign for the package I noticed he was wearing a black Castrol GTX shirt and I thought this might be a nice conversation starter because underneath my FedEx shirt I also had a Castrol GTX shirt (you think I would wear my Amsoil shirt to get dirty in???)... So after he signed for the package I said "I like your shirt" as I pulled my collar down to show him I was wearing a similar white one. I then went on to say "To bad Castrol GTX is such as bad oil" his reply "oil is oil" Right then and there I knew i was talking to the wrong person, or of this was the right person he would not be interested. I replied to him "Really? I have seen oil analysis from many oils and I can tell you that is not true" and left.

Be aware of people like this and let me clarify what I feel this comment "OIL IS OIL" means to me.

Be concerned that this person really may not care what kind of oil he is putting in your car. The weight and/or one that meets the spec for you engine. Who knows maybe he will put tranny fluid in your oil!

That what is in the bulk tank may not be filled with what they are selling you since, oil is oil

If this person and or shop really feels this way why wouldn't they let that show though in their marketing tactics? When you look around the waiting room or the outside of the building you will see banners offering synthetic oil changes, or oil additives to boost performance. If the shop really felt that "oil is oil" why would they even offer or sell you on synthetics, different brands of oil, or additives if all oils were equal? I guess I am just a bit different. If I felt the way this person does I will tell everyone buy the cheapest oil you can buy change it every three thousand miles and that would be it. But I don't agree with that lube shop because I know synthetics make a difference and all oils are not equal.

I can NOT sell something or promote something that I feel has little or no value. Shops like this do not care about the oil you put in your car.. all they care about is you coming back every three thousand miles. This rakes in tons of cash for quick lube facilities and is completely uneccessary! Not to mention a complete waste of valuable resources.

GM, Honda and others use oil life monitoring systems that monitor your driving habits and bases oil changes on that data. Most of these systems will not trigger "change oil now" any sooner than 5000 miles - this is on petroleum oil folks!. Even with these systems, lube shops like the one mentioned above, will put oil change stickers in your window for a change at 3000 miles.. this is CRAZY..

If you are interested in changing your oil once or twice a year at 7500 to 35000 miles contact me. I can even help guide you to changing oil on your own if you wish!

If you have had any terrible complaints about lube shops or you think I am off my rocker please comment.

2006 Chevy Impala SS 5.3L V8 DIY (Do it yourself) Oil Change

This post serves two purposes

Step by step guide to changing oil on a 2006 Chevy Impala SS 5.3L V8

Unlocking the truth about Amsoil. Is it is as good as they say it is? As an Amsoil Independent Dealer this is very important to me as I sell products to personal friends, co-workers, and family.

As of 6/16/2010 this car has 31,937 miles and has been running conventional oil change intervals of 3000 miles. My customer is very busy. He operates a business full time, has two young children, is married and likes to spend time with his family doing things he enjoys on the weekend. Currently he puts an average of 18,000 (he has not owned car since new) miles a year on his car. With this kind of mileage he was changing oil 6 times a year, on the weekends at a lube center, when he would rather be spending time with his family. He is thrilled that he will have to only change once per year with the occasional top off - all backed with a warranty and an oil analysis.

What I Hope To Achieve?

Save my customer time and money by not changing oil six times per year. By doing so he will also be producing a lot less waste oil.

Using oil analysis at the end of one year roughly 18,000 miles. Take an oil sample and provide the results here online to show that Amsoil does last 17,500 -35,000 Miles or one year based on driving habits.

Show everyone that oil changes can surpass 3000 miles. GM Oil Monitoring Systems already recommend 5,000 -7,000 mile oil change intervals on conventional oil. Is it really hard to believe a quality synthetic can go 17,500-35,000 miles before changing? (Keep in mind that you have to change the oil filter per manufacturers recommendation.) Not a problem here, the Amsoil Ea Oil filters are good of 1 Year or 25,000 Miles whichever comes first.

6/16/2010 - Car with 31,937. I will be doing an oil analysis (read more at the end) and changing the oil around 49,937 Miles or one year whichever comes first.

Here is the back of the Amsoil SSO 0W30 Full Synthetic Bottle. My customer will be following the severe service guidelines. This is the Chicago area... All driving is severe!

Here is the box for the Amsoil EAO 32 Oil Filter. It is a 1 Year 25,000 Mile filter.

Remove oil cap and pull out dipstick. On some vehicles this may help the oil drain faster. It is also a nice reminder once you return the car to the ground that you still need to fill it.

Jack up the car, and use jack stands to support the weight, or use drive on ramps. Never let the jack support the weight of the vehicle. Believe me jacks DO fail. In shops I have seen cars that were on professional lifts come down - this could be avoided by simply using the safeties that are built into these lifts. As a do-it-your-selfer your safety is the jack stand! Here is what I did.. Place a 2x4 behind the right rear wheel. Jack underneath the cradle (engine and transmission support that bolts to body) at the left front of the vehicle behind the front tire or anywhere that is part of the sub frame. My aplogies.. no pic Then I placed my jack stand near the front left of the cradle and lowered jack to allow stand to support weight of vehicle. I did not need to raise the right side because I had plenty of room to change the oil and filter lifting only one side.

Once the car is up locate the engine oil drain plug. For this application I used a 13mm Snap On wrench. Any 13mm socket with ratchet or wrench will do. Well mostly, not all tools are created equal. Most of the tools found at the big box hardware stores or Sears will do just fine. Some of the cheaper brands break and strip out or round out the fastener you are trying to remove. When this happens you usually need to pull out a pair of vice grips right after you bandage your bloody knuckle from slamming into a metal object.

Here you have a nice pic of the oil draining and an OK view of the oil filter with a oil filter wrench as well as my skinny arm. Location - Front dead center underneath car.

What's nice about this oil drain and oil filter location is that you can place a pan underneath both and remove at the same time. Remember "righty tighty lefty loosy"

While the oil is draining I take the time to fill the filter.
From the picture two above you may have noticed the filter is installed in an upright position. This is not always the case. This allows me to fill the oil filter prior to installing it. This will help the engine build oil pressure quicker. Many people do not do this and while it may not be necessary, or even possible on other cars it can not hurt, so if it's an option I fill it before installing.

Here you can see the oil filter is full. You will also notice that I have applied oil to the black gasket. This will help the filter seal, and make the filter easier to remove when it needs to be changed. BE SURE the filter you removed has the gasket attached to the filter before installing your new filter. Double gaskets will not work..I have to mention it because I have seen it done many times.. I have to admit I did it once or twice 12 years ago when I started. This is why you always check for leaks before driving off! Take your time no need to rush!
Installing the filter. Spin on - contact - then another full turn should do. Most filters have this info on the box. You really should not need to use an oil filter wrench ( you may damage the filter) on a filter this small since your grip should be pretty good. Big trucks sometimes require a little help from an oil filter wrench.
Most manufacturers recommend changing the oil drain plug gasket at oil change. This is rarely done, but if you feel that it is necessary most part stores will carry them. Obviously if the gasket is torn, missing, ripped etc... replace it.

Here is the type of drain pan I recommend you use. You can seal it at all ends which eliminates the need to fill bottles to take off to the local recycling center. Just seal it up and put in it your car. (you may want to put it on a dirty towel, cardboard etc..) Always recycle your oil. Many parts stores will take the oil as well as most lube centers and repair shops.

After lowering the car fill it up. This car takes 6.1 Quarts. I added 5 (already have some in the filter) to start with. Install cap, dipstick and start it up. What you are looking for is your oil pressure light to go out on the dash (should happen real fast) and then go around to the front of the vehicle and peek for leaks. If you have any leaks that are not residual leftovers from changing the oil turn it off immediately and find the source of the leak.. Did you tighten the oil filter? How about the drain plug?

Now that you have verified no leaks it would be a good time to reset the oil maintenance light and/or and fill out an oil change sticker.
To reset the oil maintenance light for this application you turn the key on (don't start) press the gas pedal to the floor three times and the indicator should go back to 100% oil life. This info is also in your owners manual.
Now that a few minutes have gone by you need to check the oil and add as necessary until you reach near the full mark. You are looking to be in the cross hatched area. For this car it was 6.1 quarts. Here you can find specs for oil fill, and drain plug torque specs for this application.

Now that the oil has been changed here is what I am going to do.

In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of AMSOIL 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil and the AMSOIL Dual-Gard filtration system in reducing operating expenses, AMSOIL and Direct Dealer Bill Andes began an ongoing field test in October 1998 with the bus fleet of the Clark County Board of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities (MR/DD) in Springfield, Ohio.
Participating in the field test are three 1997 International 3800 school buses, two equipped with International 466 diesel engines and one with an International 466E diesel engine. Each had previously been running a conventional petroleum-based oil.

Prior to starting the field test, four goals were set:

Verification of this goal will be obtained by com-paring previously documented fuel mileage reports using petroleum oils with fuel mileage reports of the same vehicles now using AMSOIL diesel oil.

2.

The extension of fluid drain intervals due to the superior synthetic chemistry and additive system of AMSOIL Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil, along with the additional efficiency pro-vided by the AMSOIL Dual-Gard filtration system.

3.

The reduction of maintenance costs due to the superior wear protection and extended drain intervals provided by AMSOIL Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil and the AMSOIL Dual-Gard filtration system.

4.

Provide the above-mentioned benefits without com-promising the mechanical integrity of the equipment.

Baseline samples of the petroleum oil already in the crankcase were obtained, tested and documented. Next, the oil was drained and the engines flushed with AMSOIL Engine Flush. AMSOIL BMK-12 Filter Mounts, two BE-110 By-pass Filtration elements and AMSOIL 15W-40 Synthetic Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Motor Oil were installed in each vehicle.
Oil samples from each bus are drawn and tested at 4000-mile intervals, the normal oil drain interval practiced by MR/DD when using conventional lubricants. Data obtained from the oil samples serves to determine the following:

Once drawn, each oil sample is reviewed in the areas of elemental analysis (including wear metals, contaminates and additives), physical properties (including viscosity, total acid number and total base number) and contamination (including water, solids, glycol, oxidation, fuel soot and fuel dilution). Oil condemnation limits vary due to individual engine idiosyncrasies, operating conditions and time the fluid has been in service.

Wildlife Food Plot Formula
Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3

The Power of Food Plots

Just like humans, animals are healthier and feel better when they eat nutrient-rich foods. When wild animals are offered a food source that provides greater protein levels, they will favor that food source over others. That’s what makes food plots so powerful. Proper seed selection coupled with effective soil preparation greatly increases protein levels over natural forage. AGGRAND Natural Wildlife Food Plot Formula helps boost nutrient levels, including protein, by enhancing natural soil microbial activity while providing the primary, secondary and micro-nutrients plants need to flourish. Improved habitat and easy access to succulent, nutrient-rich food will help attract more wild game and help grow larger, healthier animals.

Sustainable Agriculture

Proper soil care is the root of sustainable agriculture. Chemical fertilization ignores the soil and feeds the plants themselves. Water-soluble nutrients are delivered plant-ready and are expended quickly, resulting in the need for additional fertilizer applications. Nutrients not immediately used by plants leech into groundwater, causing nitrification of drinking water. They can also runoff into waterways, causing algae blooms that result in hypoxic dead zones that can’t support aquatic life. In addition, chemical fertilizers that are high in salt are toxic to soil biology. Reduction of soil biology leads to compaction of soil and increased susceptibility to erosion. AGGRAND Natural Wildlife Food Plot Formula Fertilizer feeds the natural soil biology. Often referred to as the “livestock of the soil,” this army of soil life breaks down the components of AGGRAND Food Plot Formula into plant-available nutrients. Their steady release ensures nutrients remain in the soil to support growing plants. AGGRAND Natural Wildlife Food Plot Formula is manufactured from the finest natural ingredients available, including fish, bloodmeal, Norwegian kelp, sulfate of potash and a host of other essential natural ingredients for a truly excellent all-purpose product.
Increase Nitrogen Levels
Increased nitrogen levels in the soil result in increased soil microbial populations and increased nutrient uptake in crops for healthier, more resilient plants.

Increase Sulfur Levels

Proper sulfur levels provide high levels of protein in seed crops, forages and legumes, producing crops animals prefer.

Feed Beneficial Micro-Organisms

Beneficial micro-organisms produce plant growth stimulants and can produce digestive enzymes that attack and kill undesirable fungal pathogens, resulting in larger, healthier plants.

Increase Potassium Levels

Potassium enables efficient use of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, regulates plant tissues and fluids and is a prime requirement in chlorophyll construction, resulting in more of the large, nutrient-rich plants that animals prefer.

Increase Phosphorus Levels

Phosphorus is important in flower, seed and fruit development, essential for vigorous growth of plant reproductive parts and facilitates efficient energy storage and transfer. That means plants produce more seeds and fruit, providing more for wildlife to eat and allowing plants to re-seed themselves for better-established stands of vegetation.

Effective Delivery

Fine particle size and liquid application ensure rapid penetration to plants’ root zones, ensuring crops get the nutrients they need for optimum growth. AGGRAND Food Plot Formula is effective for use in both foliar and soil applications.

AGGRAND State Registration List (52k PDF).

MSDS: AGGRAND Wildlife Food Plot Formula ( PDF – coming soon)

Things I Do To Help The Environment, Go Green And Save Money

As you all know I am an Independent Amsoil Dealer so I will start with how these products help me save money, and the environment by reducing waste.

I have two cars. A 1997 Toyota Avalon 3.0L with 154,000 miles to date, and a 2000 Ford Windstar 3.8L with 112,000 miles to date.

I know what your thinking...This is supposed to be about saving money and how I am going green. While my cars aren't the greenest vehicles on the planet - they are paid for! This saves me a lot of money. My wife and I would love to get a Prius and possibly a Mini Cooper, but this is not in the budget at the moment. Also, I use the minivan to pickup and deliver Amsoil products to my customers. So at this time I will keep these clunkers, maintain them, and upgrade at a later date when I can afford to pay cash for a car. No car payments for me thank you!

Each of these cars has Amsoil products under the hood protecting the engine and transmission. People always ask me why I would run expensive Amsoil products in these vehicles due to their age and mileage. Now I realize my cars aren't anything special but I am very frugal and would like to keep these cars as long as possible with as little maintenance costs as possible. Amsoil products allow me to do just that.

So, for the 1997 Avalon I run the Amsoil XLF 7500 Mile 6 Month 5W30 Oil, and The MANN ML1003 7500 Mile Filter. In the transmission I use the Amsoil Synthetic ATF Transmission Fluid, and I have a 4 year 100,000 mile EA Air Filter protecting the engine.

Lets break this down as far as costs.. I will use the current costs for what I pay as a dealer which is the same prices a preferred customer would pay. I will do a break down of oil changes and air filter costs per year.

1997 Toyota Avalon - Oil Changes Every 6 Months, Clean Air Filter Filter Every Oil Change and Replace Every Four Years.

Oil Filter and Air Filter Change Costs Per Year With Amsoil
1 Case Of Oil - 12 Quarts - $59.25
2 MANN Oil Filters $6.25
1 Amsoil EA Air Filter $6.50 Cost is $26.00 - divided by four years
$72.00 Per year to Change oil and filter with Air filter replaced every four years

Not bad this comes to $36 per oil change for me to change it my self only twice a year. I am also only conserving resources by not changing oil every three months three thousand miles.
But to be fair I am an Amsoil dealer (preferred customers can pick up at warehouse) and I have access to the Amsoil warehouse near my home so I do not pay shipping and handling. To get the prices above which are 20-30 percent lower than retail you need to become a preferred customer 6 month for $10 or $20 for a yearly membership(you can always buy at retail, but why?)

Add shipping shipping for above order roughly $13.00 and the membership for a year $20.
This would bring the cost to $105 per year to change oil on your car twice a year with Amsoil 7500, 6 month synthetic oil, or $52.50 per oil change to do it myself. Unlike my van where I change the oil once per year or 15,000 miles I have to change my oil more often (twice a year) on my Toyota because it has an known engine sludge problem. Always Consult the Amsoil Product Interval Guide when selecting an oil to be sure you vehicle is not on the list with known engine manufacturer troubles - (my Toyota is).

2000 Ford Windstar - Oil Change Once a year or 15,000 miles. Replace Air filter when dirty (no Amsoil 100,000 air filter available) so I will not include in prices. Make sure you buy a good quality air filter. I recommend WIX- stay away from FRAM!

Using Amsoil 0W20 25,000 Mile 1 Year Oil (normal service) or 15,000 mile (severe service - me)
Amsoil EAO34 Oil Filter 25,000 Mile 1 Year Filter

7 Quarts ASM $49.00 A couple extra quarts for top off!
1 EA EAO34 Oil filter $13.15
$62.15 To change Oil Per Year with Amsoil

Like above I need to be fair I have to add shipping - roughly $10.00. Since most households have two vehicles you would already have the preferred customer membership so I will not add that in here.
For the Windstar it would cost $72.15 per year to change the oil myself.

In the same 15,000 miles per year that I put on my van I would have to change the oil 5 times per year if I were to follow the standard 3000 mile oil change standard. It has been so long since I followed that I am not even sure what it would cost me in pricing of the oil and filters. How does $15.00 per oil change sound? Still would be $75.00 a year. Something that I always keep in mind is time going to the parts store 5 times a year, 5 times hauling the old oil for recycling to Jiffy Lube, and the impact all these unnecessary oil changes would have on the environment.

Using my two cars as an example it would cost a preferred customer roughly $178.00/per year (add your local tax!) to change oil and oil filters, with one of them having a 100K air filter.

Using 15K miles per year as an example with 3K Standard Oil Changes Here Is A Comparison In Oil And Filter Consumption

USING AMSOIL
19 Quarts of Oil Used - I actually probably don't use 12 for the Avalon!
3 Oil Filters

CONVENTIONAL
50 Quarts of oil used
10 Oil filters

Just by using Amsoil I personally use 7 less oil filters and 31 less quarts of oil!

What if my whole neighborhood where to do this. This is not a calculated analysis but in Carol Stream where I live the population is somewhere around 42,000 people. My guess of dwellings would be 15,000, each of which may have two cars (like me) - some more, some less.

15,000 households using 31 less quarts of oil of is 465,000 quarts of oil saved or 116,250 gallons per year. This is only 1 town in a suburb of Chicago!!

While I am just one household I KNOW I make a difference.

Do I feel good selling and using Amsoil - you bet!

IMHO any company, person, municipality, school district could save money using Amsoil and have significant impact on the environment.

Ok, Ok what else do I do?

We recycle everything we can. Cardboard , plastic bags, aluminum, and plastic.
We have a worm composter. The worms eat our leftover vegetable scraps, paper shredding, and newspaper. The worm compost is then used in the two herb plants we have growing my the windowsill and the worm juice (aka worm tea) is sprayed on the grass as a fertilizer with the addition of Aggrand Natural Fertilizer. I try to never use chemicals on the grass or landscape. Sometimes the dandelions can be a bit overwhelming but a little grunt work pulling them out is OK by me. I have read that corn gluten meal is a good organic alternative for dandelions - maybe next year! Besides, I have two dogs and these chemicals have been known to be very harmful to animals as well as humans.

I always mow my grass real high and never bag! This is supposed to help the roots grow stronger and deeper which helps the grass become more drought tolerant and introduce more nitrogen back into the soil. Because of this I rarely water the grass in the heat of summer, while everyone else seems to battle brown burnt grass and constant watering. I guess mowing the grass high, no bagging and liquid fertilizer works.

I NEVER produce yard waste that has to be put in yard bags for garbage company to pick up and fill the landfills with. I use my compost tumbler for leaves and small items, and for larger items such as twigs, and bush clippings - trimmings I have an open compost heap. When the compost tumbler and compost heap are decomposed I reintroduce it back onto the land as mulch and/or fertilizer.

While these are the big things our household does to save money and resources that is not all here is two more small things that come to mind. We bring our own recyclable bags to store, while limiting our trips to the store and turn off lights when leaving rooms.

Sometime in the future I would like to purchase some rain barrels to retain water from the downspouts. Further down the road I would like to look into solar panels and a tank less water heater.

Anyone else have ideas or suggestions? Please comment!

Take Care!
Experts Predict Continued Growth For Synthetics
by Ed Newman
AMSOIL Director of Advertising
This article appeared in National Oil & Lube News, June 2010

For the past few years we’ve read how the lubricants market has been “flat.” Pundits have noted that though not going away any time soon, oil is certainly not a stellar growth sector in the economy. And yet, if you look back at the historical record there has been a segment of the lube industry which has been quietly growing for a long time. We’re speaking of the synthetic lubricants sector, and a new report by the Freedonia Group indicates that U.S. demand for synthetic motor oil is expected to rise more than 7 percent a year over the next three years. These robust numbers might be worth paying attention to.
An April 7 article by George Gill in his Lube Report* from Lubes ‘N Greases highlights the details of Freedonia’s research findings. The opening salvo is a brief summary of the numbers. He follows with this:
“Engine oils and hydraulic and transmission fluids will experience the fastest gains as synthetics finally begin to penetrate the conservative medium and heavy duty truck market,” Cleveland-based Freedonia suggests, “and as increasing new vehicle lubricant performance requirements and growing consumer acceptance further expand synthetics’ share of the light vehicle market.”
Driving Forces
Ned Zimmerman cites four primary drivers for the growth in synthetic lube sales. First, the major brands have stepped up their marketing efforts in this direction. A lot more money is now being spent to make motorists aware of these new lube technologies.
Second, the trend toward OEMs using synthetics in many makes and models will drive demand. GM and others recognize the role synthetics play in helping vehicles attain increasingly stringent Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) requirements. This, too, is helping consumers become more aware of the benefits of synthetics.
Third, Zimmerman noted that while awareness is already strong in the do-it-yourself market, near-term economic pressures will likely drive many others to evaluate and choose synthetics in an effort to reduce maintenance costs.
Fourth, the consumers who make up the bulk of the do-it-for-me market are the kind of people more susceptible to mass marketing. (See point one.)
In short, we’re seeing a convergence of driving forces that will result in the continued growth and mainstreaming of synthetic motor oils and drivetrain fluids. Is this a good thing? Absolutely.
The Trend Is Your Friend
Wall Street has plenty of pithy maxims for investors that sum up pearls of wisdom learned from the school of hard knocks. For example, when you miss a good investment opportunity, there’s consolation in knowing “another bus will be along in fifteen minutes.” With regard to buying stocks Peter Lynch said, “Spend at least as much time researching a stock as you would choosing a refrigerator.” And this Sioux proverb is also a good admonition: “When you realize that you are riding a dead horse the best strategy is to dismount.”
So, the saying that immediately jumps into my mind when I read the Freedonia report is this: “The trend is your friend.”
In sailing, there’s nothing like the feeling of the wind at your back and clear horizons ahead, the sail taut, catching the wind. The wind at your back makes everything easier. Catch the wind. The trend is your friend.
I recently picked up a hitchhiker on a rural highway. He’d been walking near fifteen miles when I came along. Heavy laden with a rather hefty set of baggage, he said he hadn’t minded most of it until this last portion where he came up a rise and was now walking into a headwind. It had been a beautiful day, but it’s tough to walk into the wind. And we all know what happens when you spit into the wind.
I’ve never been a surfer (other than body surfing in Puerto Rico) but I understand the principle. Surfers watch the incoming waves with an eye to the big ones that will give the biggest thrill. They paddle with the trend and position themselves to make a run. When it all comes together, the rush and roar of riding the wave gives an incomparable thrill. The trend is the surfer’s friend. Successful surfers go with the flow, not against it.
Summing Up
It’s a simple message that oil change professionals can profit from. The trend is toward more sophisticated technologies, and high tech lubricants will be increasingly required in the future, as well as desired. Promoting a properly priced premium synthetic solution is the primary way to benefit from this trend.

Thanks to the generosity of a locally-based national corporation, the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center’s addition won’t simply be called “the new arena” when it opens this December. It will be called AMSOIL Arena.

On May 11, 2010 the DECC Board approved awarding naming rights for the new facility to AMSOIL INC., a world leading manufacturer of synthetic lubricants and a major Twin Ports employer.

“Throughout the planning and construction process, the DECC Board has always sought ways to make this great new arena even greater for residents of the entire region,” said Mark Emmel, the DECC’s board chair. “One important way of doing that is through a naming rights agreement, and we wanted to team up with a company that’s local, has a reach far beyond this area, and has a reputation for excellence. AMSOIL not only met but greatly exceeded all of those criteria, and we’re looking forward to an exciting, long term relationship with them.”

Albert J. Amatuzio, AMSOIL’s founder, president and CEO, said a partnership with the DECC is a perfect fit.

“Although AMSOIL produces products that are used throughout the world, the vast majority of our employees live and work right here in the Twin Ports. This is our home,” said Amatuzio. “We’re honored to be associated with a facility that is so critical to the community’s economy and image.

AMSOIL Executive Vice Presidents Alan Amatuzio and Dean Alexander echoed that sentiment. “We have worked closely with the DECC for many years and have established a great relationship,” said Alan Amatuzio. “I think both sides of this partnership realized from the start that this was a good opportunity for everyone, and that includes the entire region.”

“We’re proud to be involved,” said Alexander. “We’ve had many opportunities throughout the years to relocate the company but have chosen to stay here. We’re committed to the area, and our decision to step up and do this deal reflects that commitment.”

The agreement calls for the DECC to receive $6 million over a 20 year term. One way AMSOIL’s investment will enhance AMSOIL Arena is that it will provide funding that allows the arena to achieve the LEED Gold Standard, making AMSOIL Arena only the second in the nation with this important designation for environmental responsibility. AMSOIL’s funding will also allow the DECC to update AMSOIL Arena as upgrades are needed in coming years.

“Often when facilities such as this open, everything is perfect at the beginning but funds are not available when updates are needed,” said Emmel. “AMSOIL’s investment will ensure that the DECC will be able to make upgrades as things age and wear out, without needing to put that financial burden on Duluth taxpayers.”

The mayors of Duluth and Superior joined in embracing the naming rights agreement with AMSOIL. “AMSOIL joins an impressive list of corporate citizens whose financial commitment has enhanced public facilities in Minnesota, including TCF for the University of Minnesota’s new football stadium and Target for the Twins’ new ballpark,” said Duluth Mayor Don Ness. “Duluth taxpayers just received a $6 million gift from AMSOIL, and we want them to know how much the community appreciates their generosity.”

Superior Mayor Dave Ross, whose city has been home to AMSOIL’s facilities since 1972, said: “Al Amatuzio has been one of Superior’s greatest ambassadors for decades, bringing worldwide attention to this community through his innovation and commitment. In the coming years, when there’s news coverage of everyone from major entertainers to U.S. presidents visiting AMSOIL Arena, the world will once again be reminded that one of the country’s finest manufacturers is located here.”
Think of all the oil we would have saved as a nation if we were to follow this recommendations set some 35 + years ago by Amsoil. Ok I know you are thinking 25,000 miles!!! Yep, all with a warranty that is unmatched in the oil industry. Recently they have introduced an oil with 1 year 35,000 mile drain intervals under normal service and 17,500 miles under severe service. No other company comes even close to an oil that last this long.

Ok.. Ok.. I know what you are thinking -that's insane I would never let my oil go that long. Fine but let your oil go longer than 3000 miles. With the introduction of oil life monitors GM has been able to push oil changes as high as 12,000 miles. This is with conventional oil folks. Everyone knows that synthetic last longer and protect better. Is it really so hard to believe that a quality synthetic oil can go 25,000-35,000 miles Even back in 2005 the average oil change drain interval in Europe was 10,000 miles. Here is where people tend to get upset because they do not like being lied to and deceived. The same cars that are in Europe going 10,000 miles or more on oil changes are some of the same cars sold here in America with oil change recommendations of less miles.

Why do you think that is? Greed! Yes pure and simple greed -big oil is big money! Listen Mobil had a 25,000 mile oil back in the 1970's after Amsoil had one on the market! Shortly after the introduction of their so called new formula they stopped marketing it as a 25,000 mile drain interval oil, and then somewhere around 2005 came out with Mobil 1 Extended Performance with a 15,000 mile oil change interval. Where did this oil go that they had back in the '70's? They buried it to sell more oil for 30 plus years and get in good with car manufacturers. Do you think car manufacturers think Amsoil is a bad product? Or do you think Mobil has pushed there way in as factory fill by using money and marketing techniques? Mobil or any other oil manufacturer does not want to get on the bad side of the auto service industry. If Mobil was pushing 25,000 mile oil change intervals do you think that they would be the factory fill for some vehicles? Here is something to consider and take note of. The Mobil Extended Performance Warranty does not cover your car if it is under factory warranty. From my perspective I feel that Mobil does not want to get involved with the manufacturers if a claim were to be placed while using their oil. Also, this would hurt the service department at the dealerships that service these vehicles. They would see the customer much less and it in turn would hurt revenue. This would get Mobil on the bad side of the auto industry, so for now Mobil will not recommend a drain interval that is any higher then the info in your owners manual unless your car is out of warranty.

Here is another way of putting this into perspective. Lets say in 2011 GM came out with a new Corvette factory filled with Mobil 1, and the owners manual stated oil change intervals at 25,000 miles. Certainly most Corvette owners would not go this far on an oil change but Mobil would certainly provide an oil that meets the specifications of the manufacturer for this application. Nothing more nothing less! While this may not happen with GM I really do believe sometime in the near future a car manufacturer will push oil change recommendations to this level, and Mobil will be right there to claim their spot with some new product that meets these recommendation while they have had it all along.

You see big oil is not about go green or looking out for the best interest of the public. It is all about selling as much oil as you can PERIOD.

This kind of marketing an thinking has made big oil millions/billions of dollars over the past 30 years. This is called market timing - now that new car owner manuals have recommended oil changes much higher than 3000 miles Mobil has decided to unleash their awesome NEW Product.. Here is a direct quote from the Mobil 1 Extended Performance site "You've never seen an oil like this before. Mobil 1 Extended Performance is a high-endurance motor oil designed for longer service intervals"

If you are looking for a company that stands behind their products, and supports the people that get them to the marketplace consider Amsoil for all your lubricant needs.

While everyone knows that general car maintenance such as frequent oil changes can prevent major engine damage or costly engine repairs some college students find it difficult to properly maintain their vehicle. It may be due to lack of time, money, or simply an oversight.

Synthetic oils can really benefit any individual that struggles to follow the standard 3 month 3000 mile oil changes that have been pushed for so long. It really is not necessary to change your oil this often if you are using a high quality synthetic oil. Using synthetic oils will save you money, time, and labor costs associated with less oil changes per year. In fact your engine components will have better protection using synthetics.

I would like to share two companies with you that have been leaders in synthetic lubrication technology - Mobil and Amsoil, and go into the pros and cons of each one. Both of these oil companies sell synthetic oils that allow you to go anywhere between 7,500 - 35,000 miles between oil changes. Think of the time and money this could save you, even with the extra upfront costs of synthetic oil. Both of these manufacturers provide a warranty with their respective products to provide peace of mind.

Here are some of the pros and cons of each.

Mobil- Pros

Can be purchased at just about any oil retailer and many gas stations nationwide

Offers a warranty up to 15,000 miles with their extended performance oil

Mobil - Cons

Warranty does not provide coverage if your vehicle is still under factory warranty

Amsoil - Pros

(Could be considered pro and con) Can order online or toll free and have dropped shipped UPS, or may be picked up at 14 North American distribution centers.

All Products have a Warranty with one product(SSO)that covers up to 35,000 or one year oil changes

Warranty has no disclaimers for cars under factory warranty

Offers oil filters for some applications with warranties up to 1 year or 25,000 miles.

Amsoil-Cons

Have to order online or toll free (could be a pro) and may have a hard time finding in stores and retailers

Just because both of these manufacturers make high performance synthetic lubricants does not mean that you can completely forget about opening the hood! Since you may be going up to 1 year without an oil change you will most definitely need to top off your oil at times between changes.(If you order Amsoil - Get a couple of extra quarts so you have it when you need it) It is OK for engines to use a bit of oil during operation. This is normal and necessary as the oil lubricates the combustion chamber of an engine to protect the pistons and cylinder walls. Remember you will need to top off your oil!

A few more things to consider with the Mobil 1 Products. You will need to change your filters at the recommendation of the oil filter manufacturer. Sometimes this information will be hard to find from the manufacturer - my recommendation would be to change the oil filter at 3 months or 3000 miles unless the manufacturer offers this information and states otherwise. Amsoil may offer the EAO filter for your vehicle application. If so you are covered for 1year or 25,000 miles whichever comes first. If the Amsoil EAO oil filter is not available you can use WIX or MANN filters offered through Amsoil for 6 month 7,500 mile changes whichever come first.

Before ordering products from Amsoil be sure to view the Amsoil Drain Interval Chart. This chart will provide up to date information where the Amsoil recommended drain interval will need to be altered due to known engine manufacturer faults that would not allow you to take full advantage of the Amsoil extended drain intervals. To get savings of 20-25% off of Amsoil products you may also want to consider the Amsoil Preferred customer program which allows you Amsoil dealer pricing on any purchases during your membership period. While this is not necessary you may find that this program will save you money if your retail purchases are $60 or more for a six month period or around $100 for a 12 month period.

Hopefully by reading this you have come to the conclusion that using quality synthetic products will reduce your vehicle maintenance costs. Also, in addition to the cost savings associated with less oil changes per year you will be saving time and labor charges by not doing the standard 3000 mile oil changes. This will help the environment due to less waste oil being produced.

Give Amsoil or Mobil a try - save money, protect resources, save time, and have peace of mind that you are protected with quality synthetic oil.

Thanks to the employee at Adavnce Auto Parts Store!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank an anonymous employee from Advance Auto Parts Store for sending me a new customer! Thank you!

Normally when I get phone calls from people looking for Amsoil products they come upon Amsoil by doing research on the Internet, referral from a friend, or saw an add in a magazine that piqued their interest. Not this time though. My new customer (whose name I will not put in the post) went into an Advanced Auto Parts store (location not disclosed to protect employee- I do not know him anyway!) looking for Mobil 1 products for his 2006 Chrysler Minivan that he just bought with 58,000 miles on it. Upon looking at all the different oils that Mobil sells the parts store employee went over to offer him some assistance and ended up assisting my new customer right to the use of Amsoil. He said to him something along these lines "If you want the best oil get Amsoil it's better than Mobil 1". This led the customer to me-greeeat! Don't worry Advance Execs while he didn't buy oil from your store I do believe he left with an oil filter and some other car care products!

This led my new customer to start a search to find Amsoil. My guess is that he went to Amsoil.com and did a dealer search and found out I was local and gave me a call. We talked for 40 minutes about Amsoil products the Amsoil warranty and the comparisons between Mobil and Amsoil. I also referred him to an article that I wrote Amsoil VS Mobil 1 Extended Performance. After our conversation he decided that he wanted to try the Amsoil XL Series oil. This oil is a 6 month -7500 mile oil or longer with manufactures oil life monitoring systems. He decided on this oil because the he was a bit skeptical about going this kind of mileage on an oil. He is totally old school and changes oil in cars at around 2000-3000 miles, so 7500 mile oil changes is quite a stretch for him! I told him that he has nothing to worry about.

Interesting Article About 3000 Mile Oil Changes, and the auto service industry execs filling their pockets with cash!

As long as you use Amsoil products you are covered by a warranty that is untouched in the lubricant industry. When I told him that we have other oils with drain intervals of 25,000-35,000 miles or one year under OEM (original equipment manufacturer) Normal driving guidelines or 15,000 - 17,500 mile or one year under OEM severe service guidelines he was completely blown away but still decided to stick with the XL 7500 Mile oil give it a try move up to our top tier oils at a later date. I also mentioned to him that for his particular car we have 25,000 mile 1 year oil filters to coincide with the drain intervals of the oil. Since he just bought filters from Advance he was going to use those first. I mentioned that this is completely OK but since they are not as good as the Amsoil EA Oil Filters he would need to change them per the oil filter manufacturers recommendation. This info is hard to find from filter manufacturers so I recommended he change the filter like he has done in the past (2000-3000 miles), leave the oil and top off.

Thanks again Advance sales associate for indirectly sending this new customer to realize the benefits of Amsoil. And thanks to my new customer for allowing me the time to share Amsoil with you - we will be in touch!. As always if you are local to me in the Chicagoland area call or email me anytime to have Amsoil products delivered and get the best possible pricing.
I mainly became a dealer to get Amsoil products at dealer pricing which is 20-30% lower than retail pricing that you will find on the Amsoil Corporate Website. I could have opted for the Amsoil preferred customer membership that would allowed me the same pricing as the Amsoil Dealers but being the business minded person that I have always been I decided on the Amsoil Dealership instead. Just in case down the road I wanted to look at Amsoil more serious as a business. After becoming a dealer I ordered products for use in my two personal vehicles, a 1997 Toyota Avalon, and 2000 Ford Windstar, and my Toro 6.5 walk behind lawn mower.

While I placed my first order I ordered the Amsoil T1 Certification study guide as well. A T1 certified dealer is someone that takes the time to learn more about the Amsoil products, policies and procedures, and oil in general through an Amsoil study guide. Upon reading the study guide a test is administered by Amsoil before becoming certified. Well of course I passed the test and since then (mid 2007? ) have been an Amsoil T1 certified dealer. Amsoil Link to more info about T1 program. Note: Movie has been disabled due to changes in the program.

This was really the first step in helping me realize that Amsoil was a business opportunity. The T1 certification comes with some real benefits for those looking to build the Amsoil business. T1 certified dealer have the opportunity to work Amsoil sponsored booths at race events, participate in the Amsoil leads program, and some co-op programs with Amsoil. Here is a link to the T1 PDF file

You see during these two or so years that I was an Amsoil dealer that wasn't really active in openly promoting Amsoil I still made sales and got new customers. This was all due to the Amsoil T1 program. For example if you were to go to the "Find An Amsoil Dealer" and type in my zip code 60188. Most likely I will pop up in the list of dealers. I say most likely because the locator will rotate through the dealers that are certified in a given area. With this tool alone I would get phone calls from people looking to purchase Amsoil and over the years has helped me build a nice little customer base that continues to grow.

I will get into more details later.. it's 6:07 my time and I need to be at the DuPage County Citizens Police Academy by 6:30. Gotta go!

I' m back...

Where was I? One example of a customer interaction that I had where it opened my eyes was a small order from a customer in Oak Park, IL a town about 45 minutes from here. This customer called me looking for one quart of gear Amsoil 75W90 Severe Gear Lube for a differential job that he was doing on his vehicle. What sticks with me the most about this particular customer is that he was willing to travel 45 minutes to my house to get one quart of gear lube. Maybe he read the "Amsoil Gear Lube Report" got a referral from a friend or did his own research. The point is.. he HAD (his words) to have this one quart of gear lube and was willing to travel 45 minutes to my house and come get it. How did he find me? The "Find Amsoil Dealer" tool on the Amsoil home page. This one event alone made me look at the Amsoil business in a different light. I mean Amsoil provided all the tools to market the product "Gear Lube Report" website etc.., the Amsoil dealer locator, advertising in magazines, trade shows, and race event sponsorships, and all I did was answer the phone when someone called looking for these products. What if I were to take the business to the next level and actively promote it, talk to people about these products, and overall treat Amsoil like a business. What kind of results could I or anyone achieve? Time will tell. I can tell you the more people that I talk to about the Amsoil products the more people are interested and the easier it becomes for me to share Amsoil with others. While I am not a salesperson I will say that I really do not even sell Amsoil. I provide people with the information to let them make the decision for themselves. Amsoil provides the tools and I just provide the data and specs for people to make the best decision for themselves.

Would you use head and shoulders shampoo in your engine?Watch the video that shows why the falex test method is bogus.http://ping.fm/Vd9gb

Why Did I become an Independent Amsoil Dealer?

Back in 2007 I was an independent contractor with FedEx Ground and I was looking for a way to decrease operating expenses. You see, the business I was in at FedEx did not leave me a lot of extra time to maintain my trucks, and even if I had the time I was completely wiped out from running and or managing the routes that I owned. This would leave me to rely other others to perform the maintenance on my trucks. This was very costly - as I am sure you know maintenance is a large part of business operating expenses. This led me to search the Internet for ways to save on vehicle maintenance. What I found was testimonies all over the Internet from businesses and individuals that were using Amsoil products extending drain intervals, reducing maintenance costs and protecting their expensive equipment. At this time I was following the standard oil change drain intervals from the owners manual for the trucks I owned. Generally around 10,000 mile oil changes were standard.

At this time I decided to become an Amsoil Dealer to get all the Amsoil products at cost, and if others were interested in purchasing Amsoil I could resell it to them. I made many sales but never really looked at Amsoil as a business until years after becomming a dealer. I will get into this in a later post. A short time after I became an Amsoil dealer I sold all of my FedEx routes to drive for another contractor so I could work on different career goals. I actually never ended up installing the Amsoil products in my trucks but did use the products in my two personal vehicles, with great results.
