It is really unbelievable what will people do to make their job day interesting. Some of these might be innocent mistakes, but I imagine most of them are the result of bored workers. Still, this is hilarious and so funny! What do you think? Enjoy the pics…

We all loved cartoons growing up. The characters were wacky, funny, and over the top. But looking back at cartoon characters of past and present, it’s blatantly obvious that many of them have severe medical disorders that are no laughing matter.

Popeye the Sailor Man – Cancer

Overlooking his addiction to canned spinach and the delusions of power that it appears to give him, the massive tumors in this characters forearms should have raised concerns amongst his loved ones and certainly with any medical professional. There’s no telling what long lasting effects having the tumors removed will have on the patient, but it’s a fair assumption that he will lose his arms below the elbow.

Wile E Coyote – Masochism

In what world is strapping yourself to a giant rocket a good idea? Wile E Coyote’s desire to catch his prey is admirable, but the self-destructive manner in which he’s approaching his goal is sure to lead to years of rehabilitation from broken bones, brain trauma, and severe burns. An aggressive course of therapy is the only hope this character has to lead a healthy life.

Garfield the Cat – Eating Disorder

Garfield’s owner, Jon Arbuckle, must be held accountable for some of Garfield’s issues. Allowing your cat to eat lasagna is a questionable decision at best, but ignoring his rampant over-eating is irresponsible. Removing the patient from the care of Mr. Arbuckle and placing him in a treatment facility that specializes in eating disorders should help the patient recover, especially when coupled with a healthy work-out schedule.

Tigger – ADHD/Possible Meth Addiction

Until a blood screening can rule out an addiction to meth, the patient should be treated for both a chemical dependence and for ADHD. Tigers were never meant to bounce on their tails, and Tigger’s speech patterns show signs of mania that may be a symptom of either his addiction or of something more sever. Treatment for his possible chemical dependence and for his hyper-active disorder are in order before attempting to re-integrate him with others of his kind.

He-Man/Prince Adam – Dissociative Identity Disorder

More commonly known as Split Personality Disorder, integrating the two personalities together will be difficult. While the Prince Adam personality is often humble and meek, the He-Man personality is one of of virility and power (the personality name itself is a repeating of male terms), and he in fact claims to be “The Master of the Universe”. While the He-Man personality doesn’t seem to be aware of the Prince Adam one, Prince Adam is very aware of his second personality, often using a sword to bring it to the front when confronted with stress.
Prince Adam must be shown healthier ways of dealing with the stress in his life, and hopefully this can help to re-integrate the He-Man personality into his main personality, giving him the confidence he lacks as Prince Adam, while allowing him to form healthier bonds with those around him.

Glen Quagmire – Sexual Addiction/Fetish/STD

I fear seeing the results of Mr. Quagmire’s STD tests, but that not withstanding, serious steps need to be made to address his serious sexual addictions. Mr. Quagmire regularly engages in high-risk sexual behavior that is sure to have long-lasting medical and legal ramifications. Time spent in a facility designed to deal with sexual addictions is the clear first step, but I fear that chemical castration may be the only solution as Mr. Quagmire seems unlikely to want to alter his behavior and have a healthy sexual relationship with any woman.

Calvin – Hallucinations/Delusions

The fact that the patient is six years old makes this case even more disturbing. The patient’s insistence that his stuffed tiger “Hobbes” is an actual tiger that walks around on two legs and talks with him would be adorable in a child that was still making meaningful relationships with children their own age. Calvin, however, seems to have no other relationships beyond a passing one with a neighborhood girl Sally, and then he often self-destructs anytime the relationship progresses at the behest of the “Hobbes” character.

Normally I would recommend separating Calvin from his stuffed tiger, but I’m afraid of his reaction should anybody try and remove Hobbes from his possession. While I’m loathe to heavily medicate a six year old, I fear that it may be the only option to remove the stuffed animal and allow him to focus on therapy.

World’s Largest Cheesecake

On 25 January 2009, in Mexico City, Mexico, Philadelphia of Kraft Foods Mexico was recognized by Guinness World Records™ as the creator of the largest cheesecake ever made. The colossal confectionery weighed 2,133.5 kg (4,703 lb), had a diameter of 2.5 m (8 ft 2 in) and was 56 cm (1 ft 10 in) tall. The recipe for the world’s largest cheesecake included 800 kg (1,764 lb) of Philadelphia cream cheese, 800 kg of yogurt, 350 kg (772 lb) of cookies, 250 kg (551 lb) of sugar, 150 kg (331 lb) of butter and 100 kg (220 lb) of strawberries, along with other ingredients.

World’s Largest Plate of Hummus

Hummus is a dish that often finds different varieties depending on the creator, but is normally made from mashed up chickpeas, sesame paste, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. While eaten for centuries, the exact origin seems to be unknown. Lebanon decided to take things into their own hands, and with the collaboration of some 300 chefs, they filled a massive ceramic plate of hummus in downtown Beirut. The final 4,532 lb. (2,056 kilograms) dish utilized 2,976 pounds of mashed chickpeas, 106 gallons of lemon juice and 57 pounds of salt. Shortly after, a representative from the Guiness Book of World Records confirmed their record-breaking dish.

World’s Largest Easter Egg

The Easter egg or Ukrainian ‘Pysanka,’ was constructed in 1975 to commemorate early Ukrainian settlements in an area east of Edmonton. Professor Resch was responsible for the entire Pysanka concept which required the development of new computer programs. The Pysanka is really an immense jig-saw puzzle containing 524 star patterns, 2,206 equilateral triangles, 3,512 visible facets, 6,978 nuts and bolts, and 177 internal struts.

World’s Largest Lily

Flaming Red Giant was erected in 1990 by Ralph Korody, as a symbol of community recognition to a pioneer and long time resident of our district, DR. A. J. (Bert) Porter. This represents one of many varieties developed at Honeywood Nursery. Home town of this flower is Parkside, Saskatchewan.

World’s Largest Thermometer

Will Herron, a businessman, dreamed of a huge thermometer for 25 years before he made it a reality in California’s high desert. The World’s Largest Thermometer is 134-ft.-tall, symbolic of the record high temperature in the US, in Death Valley — 134 degrees Fahrenheit in 1913.

World’s Largest Motorcycle

The world’s largest motorcycle comes with a $300,000 price tag and stands at 11 feet high and measures 20 feet long. Created by Greg Dunham, this monster motorcycle could actually drive.

World’s Largest Pool

Already drawing the crowds in the South American resort of San Alfonso del Mar in Chile, this artificial lagoon and swimming pool is eight hectares in size and contains an incredible 250,000 cubic meters of water. Acknowledged by Guinness World Records as being the world’s largest swimming pool, the lagoon trounces all other record holders in the category, including the Orthlieb pool in Casablanca, Morocco, itself a huge 150 meters by 100 meters – the San Alfonso pool is 1km in length.

World’s Largest Plane

The An-225 is quoted as having a maximum takeoff weight of over 1.3 million pounds (600,000 kg). The FAI gives credit for a slightly lower weight of 1.12 million pounds (508,200 kg), the record set by an An-225 in 1989 for the largest mass ever lifted by an airplane to an altitude of 6,500 ft (2,000 m). The An-225 was originally built to ferry the Soviet Buran space shuttle but it is now used to transport various outsize cargos. Only one example was ever completed, and it is currently available for charter flights. The An-225 is a cargo transport only and has never been used as an airliner.

World’s Largest Building

Burj Dubai (Arabic for “Dubai Tower”) is a skyscraper under construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is the tallest man-made structure on Earth other than broadcasting towers. Construction began on September 21, 2004, and it is expected to be completed and ready for occupation in September 2009.

World’s Largest TV

While Sharp and Panasonic are claiming largest for individual technologies, TecnoVision is having none of it and pitching its 205in screen as the World’s Largest Television full stop. The Luxio measures a whopping 455x256cm – that’s enough to almost fill an entire wall.

World’s Largest Aquarium

This is one of the world’s biggest fish tanks – so big that it’s even been named the Kuroshio Sea.
Located in the Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan, the enormous tank is some ten metres deep, 35 metres wide and 27 metres long. It holds a staggering 7,500 tonnes of water – roughly equal to three Olympic-sized swimming pools.

World’s Largest Crayola Crayon

It weighs 1,500 pounds and is 15 feet long. Apparently, this crayon could draw a line 10 miles long! Crayola created this monster sized crayon with crayons donated by children to celebrate the company’s 100th birthday! This is a great story.

World’s Largest Six Pack

It is located in La Crosse, Wisconsin. You can’t keep a good roadside attraction down! The World’s Largest Six-Pack has risen anew. Once painted in the colors of Heileman’s “Old Style Lager” beer, the six aging tanks that make up the six pack were painted over following the closure of the brewery back in 2001.

World’s Largest Ice Cream Cake

Chinese workers were seen celebrating after they broke the Guinness World Record for the biggest ice-cream cake more than a year ago in Beijing, January 16, 2006. The cake is 4.8 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 1 meter high, and weighs 8 tons. It was recognized as the largest ice-cream cake, according to the Guinness World Records.

World’s Largest Cruise Ship

Oasis of the Seas is an Oasis-class cruise ship in the fleet of Royal Caribbean International. The first of her class, she is expected to be joined by her sister ship Allure of the Seas in December 2010. Both vessels are expected to cruise the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She set a new record of carrying over 6,000 passengers. Oasis of the Seas offers passengers features such as two-story loft suites and luxury suites measuring 1,600 sq ft (150 m2) with balconies overlooking the sea or promenades. The ship features a zip-line, a casino, a mini-golf course, multiple night clubs, several bars and lounges, a karaoke club, comedy club, four swimming pools, volleyball and basketball courts, theme parks and nurseries for children.

World’s Largest Fountain

The fountains, which has yet to be named, will be capable of shooting water over 150 metres into the air – the height of a 50-storey building – and stretch over 275 metres – the length of two football fields. The $218 million project will be 25 percent larger than the iconic fountains at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas. Like the Fountains of Bellagio, Emaar’s fountains will include an integral light and sound show and is expected to become one of Dubai’s major tourist attractions, drawing over 10 million visitors per year.

World’s Largest Golden Nugget

It’s named “Hand of Faith,” it’s the size of a baby, and it weighs almost 62 pounds. It was found in 1980 by a guy in Australia with a metal detector, who reportedly almost didn’t bother to dig it up because he thought that his machine was faulty. Hand of Faith was only six inches below the surface. The Golden Nugget bought it for a million dollars. WOW!

What started as a bet between a guy named Ola and a guy named Jørgen has turned into that rarest of Web phenomena: A ‘crowdsourced’ site that isn’t Astroturfed, has a substantial following, and, most importantly, has a noble goal: Collecting one million pictures of giraffes by 2011. Ladies, gentlemen: OneMillionGiraffes.

Unlike many flash-in-the-pan Internet trends, OneMillionGiraffes has been going strong for almost a year: When the Telegraph interviewed the site’s creator in August of 2009, two months after its launch, it was up to 134,227. Currently, it’s at 877 740: So, 122 260 left to go in the next 178 days.

A 62-foot statue of Jesus Christ at a church in Ohio was struck by lightning during a severe thunderstorm on Monday night and exploded into flames.
The statue, worth US$300,000 and made of fiberglass and Styrofoam, burned to the ground, leaving only a wire frame behind. The resulting fire also caused US$400,000 damage to Solid Rock Church in Monroe, Ohio.
Church officials said they would rebuild the statue.
The statue was known as “Touchdown Jesus” because of its raised arms. It was erected in 2004 and officially called the “King of Kings” statue. It became famous thanks to its position by a major highway.

Taxidermy is the act of mounting or reproducing dead animals for display or for other sources of study. But is it OK to play with dead animals? To make a purse from your dead cat… Or to love your pet so much that you have to watch it, hanging on your wall or standing on your shelf,  like a trophy everyday? This looks very disturbing and weird, but we guess that’s up to you to decide..

This is our friend Igor from Russia. He is home alone, and unlike Kevin McCallister, he is not happy about it. So he took some pictures of his house, trying to impress girls. I think these are some of the most beautiful monasteries. Hidden in the mountains, so close to the sky, they are quiet shelters far far away from secular society. No matter the religion, these isolated wonders remain an expression of pure faith and peace beyond time and space. Some of them are still inhabited, others, forgotten will become dust with time.

St George Monastery, Wadi Qilt, Israel

The monastery, originally dedicated to the Virgin, was founded about 480. It flourished in the sixth century but was destroyed by the Persians in 614 and thereafter was abandoned. The present buildings were erected between 1878 and 1901. The church dedicated to the Mother of God has fine icons and wall paintings; the church of St John and St George preserves a sixth century mosaic pavement. In a cave are the remains of the monks who were killed during the Persian advance on Jerusalem.

Xuan Kong Temple, near Datong, China

In China’s Shanxi Province around 500km (300 miles) south west of Beijing is located The Hanging Temple (named Xuan Kong Si). This amazing structure is one of the most precarious structures in the world. Long wooden beams extend from the outer edge of the temple buildings down to holes chiseled into the massive rock face.

Anapafsa Monastery, Meteora, Greece

The Greek word Meteora means “suspended in the air”, and our words meteorite and meteorology come from the same root. The conglomerate rock at Meteora, Greece, has eroded into fantastic peaks upon which medieval monks built monasteries, several of which are still active. The isolated monasteries of Meteora helped keep alive Greek Orthodox religious traditions and Hellenic culture during the turbulent Middle Ages and Ottoman Turk occupation of Greece (1453-1829).

Djurdjevi Stupovi Monastery, Serbia

Djurdjevi Stupovi Monastery in Ras ,Republic of Serbia,near Novi Pazar was founded by the first Serbian ruler Stefan Nemanja in 1170-1171 according to the incarved inscription from the main church portail. It was built on a hilltop near old Ras and its location is a significant point in the area at his new just established state with the tour of Ras as a capital.

Petra Monastery, Jordan

Petra is a historic and archaeological city in the Jordanian governorate of Ma’an that has rock cut architecture and water conduits system. Established sometime around the 6th century BC as the capital city of the Nabataeans, it is a symbol of Jordan as well as its most visited tourism attraction. It lies on the slope of Mount Hor in a basin among the mountains which form the eastern flank of Arabah (Wadi Araba), the large valley running from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. Petra is an UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.

Madonna del Sasso, Switzerland

High up above the town of Locarno, there is a sanctuary located on a forested cliff; Madonna del Sasso. Sasso means rock, so hopefully I won’t be struck down for translating it as Madonna on the Rocks. The church was consecrated in the 19th century when a local monk, Brother Bartholomeo, claimed that the Madonna had appeared before him whilst walking in the woods.

Popa Mountain Monastery, Myanmar

Rising majestically out of the plains of central Burma, 2,417 feet up in the air atop an ancient, sheer-sided volcanic plug, the Buddhist monastery of Popa Taungkalat surveys the surrounding scene. An amazing example of a human construction merged organically with its natural setting, Taung Kalat also draws thousands of pilgrims each year because of its great spiritual significance. Glojene Monastery, Bulgaria

According to the legend, the monastery was built in the 13th century (1224), when Ukrainian knyaz Georgi Glozh settled in the area with Ivan Asen II’s approval. The knyaz founded a monastery carrying the name of St George, whose icon he had brought with himself. The icon then disappeared numerous times only to be found on a hill not far from the village of Glozhene, which was interpreted by the monks as a divine sign to move the monastery there. This was eventually done near the end of the 14th century.

Le Mont Saint Michel, France

Mont-St-Michel (also written Mont Saint Michel) is a small rocky island about 1 km from the north coast of France at the mouth of the Couesnon River in Normandy. The mount is best known for the medieval Benedictine Abbey and steepled church that occupies most of the 1km-diameter clump of rocks jutting out of the waters of the English Channel.
