May we appreciate the miraculous atoning sacrifice of God's Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross for our sins. Whenever I stop to meditate on and savor the amazing gift Jesus is in my life, I'm humbled and overwhelmed with a sense of repentance, followed by gratitude and then with joy. Why? Because Jesus paid the price for my sins on the cross, displaying His great love for me. Why? Because He rose from the grave on the third day and conquered death for me! Why? Because Jesus is alive, and He gives me the hope and promise that I too will be in paradise some day!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:9pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;I can truly have joy, not because I have earned or deserved God's mercy (pardon) and grace (favor), but because I stand today as a pardoned and favored man through my faith in Christ alone. Each day, Jesus gives me way more than I deserve, and I am so grateful. By my faith in Him, I receive His daily grace!!! Yet, I must also admit that my faith alone without works can actually become dead faith. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?.......As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." James 2:14-26.&lt;/span&gt; For example, Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to death on the cross so that someday a sinner like me would be pardoned and favored. His faith and obedience to God required that something would be done. It required action in addition to faith.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:9pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;While on the cross, Jesus said "It is finished" and took His last breath, but this was after He had completed His job on earth. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"...Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit." John 19:30&lt;/span&gt; I know the Lord does not require sacrifices from me for my sins because Jesus paid it all on the cross! &lt;span style=" font-style: italic;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God." Romans 6:10&lt;/span&gt; But when was the last time you did something big for God? God does not call us to sacrifice our lives on the cross like Jesus, but He does call us to live our lives in such a way that our faith is put into action.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:9pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;What does your behavior say about you? Do your actions say that you are a humble, forgiving and loving person thus showing your obedience to God? Are you a person of faith who displays God's righteousness through your character and how you live your life? Would you be identified as a believer or do you blend in with the world so much that you look no different than a nonbeliever? &lt;span style=" font-style: italic;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." Mark 8:34&lt;/span&gt; Do you obey and honor God with your actions, or do your actions say the opposite? Do you forget to include God in your life and in so doing you inadvertently follow the ways of the world and bring shame to God? &lt;span style=" font-style: italic;color:#FF0000;"&gt;“Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character.” 1 Corinthians 15:33&lt;/span&gt; I know it is hard to live out our faith. I must admit that I mess up often, but through the Lord's grace I can ask Him for His help each day:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style=" font-style: italic;color:blue;"&gt;Dear God, please help me to be the man you want me to be; help me to not compromise my values in this world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:9pt;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;If God is using these words to humble you, then praise Him! God will only do that because He loves you. Turn away from pursuing the things of this world, because only God can fulfill that deep need inside of you. He loves you unconditionally and will always forgive you when you ask Him. Decide to ‘take up your cross’ and really follow Jesus today, so you can live a life worthy of His abundant mercy and grace. We have prayed with thousands of people and have witnessed countless answered prayers. In addition, millions of shirts with God's scriptures have been circulated that glorify God and communicate the grace and truth of Jesus. Please know that we are grateful for your continued support this year, and we trust and pray that you can celebrate the birth of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ freely this Christmas!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With all the changes going on in this world, I wanted to share a few things with you that I personally need to change in my life. What I mean is, I try doing good 'deeds', but often find myself messing things up. There are times where I simply fall short of doing 'right', leading me to subconsciously want to make it up to God somehow. I already know that getting right with God only comes through faith in Jesus, and not by mere "good works". So why do we all try at one time or another to somehow sacrifice our way further into God's grace?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;SACRIFICES&lt;/strong&gt; As believers we know that Jesus was the best, truest and only sufficient sacrifice for our sins for a Holy and Righteous God. Knowing this fact means that all other sacrifices are like filthy rags before God. In the Old Testament we learn what God thinks about our human attempts to get right with Him and our countless righteous acts. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away." Isaiah 64:6&lt;/span&gt; The great thing about God is that He does not require sacrifices from us to get right with Him. To receive His mercy and grace requires our faith in His Son Jesus. All the sacrifices in the world cannot take away our sins, all the righteous acts in the world cannot give us a clean conscious, but only through God's grace can we have our sins and guilt removed. God simply wants us to come as we are (messed up and broken) and believe in Jesus and He will wash us clean and make us right with Him forever. Talk about abundant love!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GOOD SACRIFICES&lt;/strong&gt; On the other hand, did you know that we are called to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, as our spiritual act of worship? &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship." Romans 12:1-2&lt;/span&gt; While God does not require or want our sacrifices in order for us to receive His mercy and grace, He desires "good works" from us as a response to His mercy and grace. Once we are saved by faith in Christ alone, our purpose is then to fulfill the work that God has created us to do. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:8-10&lt;/span&gt; God also knows our fallen natures so well that He considers our praise of His name as an actual sacrifice. To praise God continually in all things is a worthy sacrifice. You see, to actually praise God does not come natural to us because we often want to praise our own names instead. We often want to receive credit for ourselves, and not give any credit away. Our praise of His name is received by God as a worthy sacrifice---WOW! &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name." Hebrews 13:15&lt;/span&gt; Will you praise God today for His mercy and His grace in your life? Will you praise God in front of others when you accomplish great things or go through challenging trials? So remember, since we have experienced God's grace, we then should sacrifice for our Lord Jesus by loving Him first, loving others and praising His Name in all things.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;BEST SACRIFICE IS LOVE&lt;/strong&gt; The Apostle Paul tells us that "the" best sacrifice God wants from us is to live our lives in love. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." Ephesians 5:1-2&lt;/span&gt; Are we loving the unlovable? Do we love those who irritate us, or do we only love those who love us and make us happy? &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?" Matthew 5:46&lt;/span&gt; The love that God wants from us most is the love we show the unlovable. Have we forgiven those who have sinned against us? Have you ever asked someone that you have wronged "Will you forgive me?” instead of just saying "I'm sorry"? There is a significant difference. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift." Matthew 5:23-24&lt;/span&gt; How often do we pray and God does not listen? Could it be that our prayers are not being answered because we have not forgiven others who have wronged us? We cannot cover up our unloving words and our sinful behavior by our generous offerings, impressive ceremonies, going to weekly Bible studies or by going to church every Sunday. Disharmony with God or with other people makes our spiritual victories impossible. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers." 1 Peter 3:7&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;LOVING THE UNLOVABLE&lt;/strong&gt; How many of us can love our enemies? Did you know that Jesus died for His enemies? How many of us can actually love our friends and family, the ones who usually know how to irritate us the most, the ones who have wronged us over and over again? &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you," Matthews 5:42-44&lt;/span&gt; What Jesus is saying to us is to love our parents, our spouses, our kids, our friends, and others even if they have wronged us 77 times. To love our neighbors or bosses even if they have wronged us 77 times is a sacrifice worth doing. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"...'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?' Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times." Matthew 18:21-23&lt;/span&gt; When was the last time we forgave someone 77 times? If we can forgive others, God receives that from us as a real sacrifice! This is the kind of sacrifice that He wants. Imagine that—forgiving and loving others is a sacrifice pleasing to God! &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." Hebrews 13:16&lt;/span&gt; If Jesus has forgiven you, then can you forgive others? To actually forgive and love a person is our sacrifice to God. Amazing!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;FORGIVENESS AND LOVE&lt;/strong&gt; Without forgiveness toward others, you show no real trust in God; if there is no trust then there is no love for God; and without love we quench the Holy Spirit's fire. Don’t just learn about God's Word and not actually do what it says. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth." 2 Timothy 3:7&lt;/span&gt; Let's not keep merely listening to God's Word and say we are Christians, but let's do what God wants. &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." James 1:22&lt;/span&gt; As hard as it is to forgive, as hard as it is to love, let us ask God to strengthen our faith by helping us love those who do not deserve our love. Are you holding onto what you consider a big offense, recent hurt or maybe a multitude of pain? Just let it go and give it all to God. He is the true healer and restorer of all pain. The Bible says that love keeps no record of wrongs. So what is love and why is it so difficult to love others? Love requires God's Holy Spirit to be working through us, or love is impossible. Only through obedience and trusting God can we truly love: if we wait to love because we finally feel like it, what good is that? &lt;span style=" font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;color:#FF0000;"&gt;"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails..." 1 Corinthians 13:4-8&lt;/span&gt; And here is the amazing thing, God loves you even though you have wronged other people and have wronged Him a million times over!!! If you have wronged God, you can repent and seek His forgiveness right this second. It is okay, God still loves you. After everything is said and done, the Bible defines love in many places, but true love is only complete when it's written on our hearts :-)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GOD &lt;em&gt;ALWAYS&lt;/em&gt; LOVES YOU&lt;/strong&gt; If you have not forgiven or loved people like you should have, do not worry. Simply ask God to forgive you and show you how to love others as yourself and He will be faithful. Even though we have all rejected Him, questioned Him, not believed in Him 100% and not always obeyed and trusted Him fully, know that it is for these very reasons why Jesus had to pay the price for our sins by His death on the cross. God is love, and He waits for us to come to Him in repentance. Whoever you are, if you are not right with God, just ask Him for His forgiveness. He will listen to you and forgive you no matter what you have done in the past. He will hold onto to you no matter what. Do you ever feel rejected or condemned?  God says in the Bible that if you’ve put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, He sees you as ‘holy and blameless’.  As His child, you belong to Him and are awesome in His sight.  So why don’t you feel that way?  Could it be that you don’t choose to believe and trust the truth of God’s Word?  When you practice your faith by choosing to believe the Bible instead of your feelings, you can experience true joy the way God wants you to.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;As a follower of Jesus Christ, you DO have an identity and that is as a child of God. God chose you to be in Him before He had created the world. He knew you would be born and be called His very own! He did not just choose you and set you aside for a later time or another place, but He actually made you to be in Him, right NOW! &lt;span style="color: #CC3300; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace” Ephesians 1:4-7&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Because you are in Jesus, you are part of His body. And how could Jesus look at His own hand for instance and say it isn’t good? You are pure in His sight because you are now a part of Him. When Jesus sees you, He sees you as clean and innocent not by anything you’ve done, but only by His death. He paid the penalty of your sins with His own life because He loves you so much.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;The Lord is more ready to pardon you than you are to sin; more willing to forgive you than you are willing to forgive yourself. Ask Him to forgive you at any time and He will do it. Satan can accuse and attack you all he wants, but remember you are not of Satan you are in Jesus by your faith. As horrible as you may think you are, Jesus washed away your sins; that’s how valuable you are to God. And that’s how powerful His sacrifice was for you. You are His child! &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;So the next time you feel left out, unworthy or hopeless, choose to believe the truth of God’s Word and be confident that you are ‘holy and blameless’ in the sight of Jesus. And that makes you special to Him regardless how you feel about yourself.  Have you confessed your sins and chosen Jesus Christ to be the Lord and Savior of your life? If you have already, then congratulations. If you haven’t, then just do it right NOW. In the Bible, God says that the penalty for any sin is hell. I am sure you do not want to go to hell when you die, do you?&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;God forbid you died tonight, would you go to Heaven? How does a person get to Heaven???&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong style="color: rgb(0, 0, 153);"&gt;I&amp;#8217;ve done more good than bad. God loves you so much that He sent His one and only son Jesus Christ to save us from the due and just penalty for our sins... You place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, to be the Lord and Savior of your life. Moses could of lived a privileged life as an Egyptian leader, but instead chose to subject himself to a life of sacrificial hardships because he loved God and God loved Him. Moses spent the last 40 years of his life dedicated to leading the Jews to God's "Promise Land". God used Moses to free Israel from 400 years of Egyptian slavery and to take the Jews into God's "Promise Land". A land flowing with milk and honey (Deuteronomy 26:15). By all accounts you can most certainly say Moses was a great man of God (Deuteronomy 34:12). Even the apostle Paul spoke highly of Moses. &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0); font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;"By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible." Hebrews 11:27&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MOSES, PUNISHED FOR BREAKING FAITH &amp;amp; NOT BEING HOLY&lt;/strong&gt; Once Moses and the Jews reach a place called  "The Waters of Kadesh" in the desert of Zin, it is here that Moses faces one of his most challenging trials ever. God tells Moses to speak to the rock in order to get water to flow from the rock (Jews needed water). Instead of Moses obeying God exactly, Moses actually hits the rock in anger. Moses gets upset at the people of God and upset at God, and thus breaks his faith with God. Why? because the Jews who Moses was leading to the Promised Land had actually become expert grumblers over the years (grumblers like you and I). Year after year they complained at Moses, never realizing they were actually grumbling and complaining at God’s given circumstances. In this particular place in their journey after years of complaining to Moses, Moses loses his cool and says things he will regret. God then prevents Moses from ever entering the "Promise Land". &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0); font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;"...because both of you broke faith with me in the presence of the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh in the Desert of Zin and because you did not uphold my holiness among the Israelites. Therefore, you will see the land only from a distance; you will not enter the land I am giving to the people of Israel." Deuteronomy 32:48-52&lt;/span&gt; Because they failed to show self-control, not trusted God and disobeyed God, thousands of them perished before reaching the “Promise Land”. They did not drink of the spiritual water that came for the spiritual rock that was Jesus (1 Corinthians 10:1-6)  In spite of God's just punishment of Moses for not being Holy before God and the people of God, Moses was allowed to see the Promise land, but only from afar.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;WHO MAKES US HOLY?&lt;/strong&gt; If Moses being a great man of faith was punished by God for breaking his faith and for not being Holy, what do you think would happen to us today without a savior to makes us Holy? Would we also then only be able to see God’s grace from afar? Not at all, on the contrary, through Jesus believers can experience the “Promise Land” now. Why? because through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, we can enter and live within His grace every day, always! What the "Promise Land" was to Moses back then is what the grace of Jesus is for us today. &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0); font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;"For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will" Ephesian 1:4-5&lt;/span&gt; Do you truly appreciate how good we have it? Do you realize that God sees us as Holy and Blameless in His eyes, in spite of our countless sins against man and God. Can you only see Jesus from afar, or do you walk with Him in grace? Remember that when we chose Jesus, we chose grace!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;OUR HOPE AND PEACE&lt;/strong&gt; How often can we inadvertently let God down by our poor thoughts and poor choices, and yet never really pay for our mistakes. How often do we mess up and yet are still allowed into the "Promise Land" of His grace. As I reflect on the precious sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, I see God's grace overflowing in my life giving me everything that I need to be at peace with God.  &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0); font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;”Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” Romans 5:1&lt;/span&gt; Can you see God's overflowing grace in your life? Has God really treated you like you deserve, or are you like me, a person who God has been given more than he deserves?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;OUR PROMISE LAND&lt;/strong&gt; Today, you and I get to live in God's "Promise Land" through Jesus. While mercy abounded in the old testament for people of faith, grace was brought by Jesus in the new Testament. &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0); font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;"For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17&lt;/span&gt; In spite of the ten commandments and the requirements of the law of Moses, people back then got to see God through their obedience and faith in God. The consequences for being Holy back then, are still the same consequences today. Break one commandment, break one law and the penalty from our righteous and just God is still, Hell. And yet today God not only provides us with His mercy, but allows us to partake in the grace of Jesus because of our faith in Him. The grace of Jesus abounds through the sacrificial work of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ leading us into repentance as we realize our unworthiness. The more His grace, the more we realize our sin and the more we are grateful for His forgiveness and providential mercy. And lastly, while we can at times feel convicted leading us to repentance,  we are never condemned. Wow, that is true love! &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0); font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"&gt;"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. I don't want to merely know "about" God, I want to actually "know" God. Who is He, this King of glory, who by His resurrection from the cross saved a wretched soul like me? &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"Who is He, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty— He is the King of glory." Psalm 24:10&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; As a people and nation we are good at knowing "about" God, but poor in actually knowing God. Moses said to God, &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people." The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Exodus 33:13-14&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; I'm convicted as I write this because I realize it's easier to merely know about God, than to know Him personally. How often do I want His rest, and yet make little time to be in His presence. Did you know that to have His presence is to have His rest? Will you seek His rest by giving Him your presence through prayer, the reading His Word, worship and/or quiet times with Him alone?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ENTER HIS THRONE ROOM OF GRACE&lt;/strong&gt; When we spend time with Him, we get to know Him. Spending time with Him through prayer and reading the Bible is more important and beneficial than doing things for Him. God invites us to spend time with Him and gives us access to Him by our faith in Jesus. &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Imagine that, not a throne of condemnation, not a throne of punishment, but an approachable throne of mercy and grace to help us in our times of need! If you need closeness with God right now and already know Jesus by faith, then enter His throne room with confidence, not scared like a stranger, but with confidence like a child of God. Wow...what a great God!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;IT'S WHO YOU KNOW, NOT WHAT YOU KNOW OR WHAT YOU DO&lt;/strong&gt; Will people remember you for the things you did for God? Or, will you be remembered for God's mercy displayed through the grace of Jesus Christ working in you and through you? Will they say you knew the Lord in an intimate way because you believed, trusted and obeyed God? Will they say that even though you made a lot of mistakes in life, you knew God’s grace and believed in Him? &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." John 6:29&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Do you spend time listening to God and therefore know God (know His small voice), or do you merely do things for God? Do you sometimes identify with Martha who knew Jesus as a friend, but did not know Jesus? &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said...She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better..." Luke 10:39-42&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Imagine if after all the distractions and busyness of life, when it's all said and done, God said, &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" Matthew 7:22-23&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; What a sobering verse for all of us who label ourselves "Christians".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GOD SEES THE LIGHT IN YOU&lt;/strong&gt; Believer, you may be feeling condemned, beat down, exhausted, and even mourning over your countless sins. But know with certainty that the Lord Jesus sees the "light" in you, the light of His grace working in you that He placed in you. &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness." Genesis 1:4&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; You may be convicted by mistakes in your life and feel apart from God; or you may be asking "what light working in me?" But stand firm knowing that God sees His light and that is what matters most (not what we see, but what He sees). Why? Because God is our judge! While we may feel unworthy in our standing with Christ, know that Jesus never loses hope in us because He sees the light that He has placed in us. God sees us as unstained children by our faith in His Son Jesus Christ. &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Philippians 1:6&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Once in His grip, we are always in His grip. Through our faith in Jesus, sinners like you and I are atoned for, made right, forgiven 100%. When we repent, turn to Him and believe in Him, we are saved forever! That is how powerful, perfect, righteous, and majestic His sacrifice on the cross was for our sins. We sinned but He paid our debt--that's His wonderful grace.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;REST EASY&lt;/strong&gt; You may already know Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, and yet at times feel at war with God. Take heart--you are not alone. Please know it doesn't matter whether you feel like you are innocent or not, what matters is that your judge (God) sees your innocence through His Son Jesus. The truth is that through Jesus we have peace with God whether we feel like it or not. Jesus said at the cross &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"…"It is finished"..." John 19:30&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; meaning His job had been completed for those who would believe in Him. Jesus was the perfect man for the perfect sacrifice because He was God in the flesh--sinless. &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand..." Romans 5:1-2&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; All of us go through dry times in which we feel apart from God, but rest easy knowing our faith in Jesus gives us the "justified" and permanent standing that God requires. We can rest in the finished work of the Lord Jesus because our past, present and future sins have been paid for by His blood. Will you now take the time to look towards Him in prayer and receive His grace? If you need to repent from your sins before God, then do it right now. Cast your cares upon Him and ask Him to help you; He will do it! &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;REJOICE, I SAY IT AGAIN REJOICE&lt;/strong&gt; This Easter, will you turn from your self-sufficiency and look to the Lord Almighty, our King of Glory? Will you turn your face to God in all humility and allow the grace of Jesus to give you rest and peace? &lt;span style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;"The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Turn your attention to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, the One who took our place on the cross for our sins, and rejoice in Him. If you already know Jesus by faith, take the time to reflect on the cost of your salvation and celebrate it with gladness and a grateful heart. Will you go out of your comfort zone and share the "Good News" of your salvation with others? Will you share the love and grace of the risen Lord Jesus with those who do not deserve it? It should be "The Picture of the Year," or perhaps, "Picture of the Decade." It won't be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the U.S. paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta. She knew of Dr. Bruner's remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr. Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision and firmly grasped the surgeon's finger. Dr. Bruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity. The editors titled the picture, "Hand of Hope." The text explaining the picture begins, "The tiny hand of 21-week-old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother's uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Little Samuel's mother said they "wept for days" when they saw the picture. She said, "The photo reminds us pregnancy isn't about disability or an illness, it's about a little person" Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful. Now see the actual picture, and it is awesome...incredible....and hey, pass it on! The Lord worked through you to help us make ends meet in December and we are grateful. Barreto III, January 2009&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;GOD'S GREATEST COMMANDMENT&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; God gives us peace and joy when our focus is truly loving God first and loving others second (instead of focusing on our perceived needs). When we obey this great commandment, God takes care of our needs for us. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style11"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; As believers we are good about obeying the "Great Commission " of sharing the gospel and yet Jesus' "Great Commandment" is often overlooked. You see, God did not say "think about yourself, get that now, take care of this, worry about that...", but He did command us to love Him above all, and love others like ourselves. When we obey His "Greatest Commandment" fully, we can then trust Him to provide for our needs according to His abundant grace and perfect will! When we accept God's provisions for us with thanksgiving and praise, we are freed from the cares of this world.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;CONTROL&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; We can either love God and love others or we can pursue things which we have no control over. If we trust God with His given provisions for our lives, we can then love others and experience the peace and joy we seek. If we accept God's all sufficient grace, we can then thank God for how things are right now. Can you say 'God is enough and that is OK with me'? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style11"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; The one thing in life we have control over is our ability to love God, to love others and to trust God for His results and outcomes. If we focus and obey God's "Great Commandment" of loving Him and loving others we are then freed to trust God to provide for our needs. When we realize that we don't have control, then we're forced to trust God Who &lt;/span&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;is&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; in control. We can try to exercise control over things and be disappointed time and time again, or we can choose to trust God's goodness and perfect will for our lives. Do you trust Him fully, right now?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;WARNING SIGNS!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; Harmful habits like fear, worry, jealousy, lust, unbelief, guilt, doubt, pride and greed (among other things) are the result of seeking to control and pursue selfish goals and desires. These destructive habits can actually serve as "warning signs" that we are not fully seeking and trusting God. When we admit that we are not in control of this world and realize that God is our creator and actual provider, we are then free to focus on loving God and loving others. This is the abundant life that Jesus came to give us.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;GOD IS ENOUGH&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; Resting in God is achieved by completely trusting Him to provide whatever outcomes He wants for us and then being at peace about it. Either God is enough for us or He is not. And if God is enough for us, then nothing is a threat. Whatever trial we are experiencing, as hard as it may be, our soul will be at peace. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style11"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;"Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:5-7&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; The key to these verses is knowing the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;Lord is near!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;TRUSTING GOD&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; Are there things in your life that you need to trust and wait on the Lord for right now? To trust in the Lord means to wait and to be patient and patience means long suffering. Can you trust and wait upon a known God to an unknown future? Can you thank the Lord for the way things are at this moment, however things may be? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style11"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;"Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us." Romans 5:3-5&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;FORGIVING OTHERS&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; When we look at the second part of God's greatest commandment: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style11"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;'Love your neighbor as yourself'&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;, God clearly commands us to love our neighbor as ourselves. If we are required to love others as ourselves, we are also then required to forgive others first, right? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style11"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;"Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; In any relationship forgiveness is required in order to truly love. How can we not forgive others that have wronged us when Jesus has already forgiven us? Was it not our sins that crucified Jesus?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;FORGIVING OURSELVES&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; There are two common traits that prevent believers from loving others. First, our pride can result in an unloving attitude towards others. Pride hinders us from loving others because our focus is on ourselves. Jesus came to earth not to serve Himself but to serve others. We should follow His example. Second, guilt and condemnation over our sins keep believers from experiencing the joy of our salvation and from loving others. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style11"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; If Jesus has already forgiven us 100% by His atoning sacrifice on the cross, can we then also forgive ourselves? When we consciously forgive ourselves like Jesus has forgiven us, we are then freed and empowered to fully love others without expectations, no matter how many times we have been wronged. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style11"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Our prayer this Christmas is for the peace and hope of Jesus     to be with you and your family. I want to thank you and let you know how much we truly appreciate your     support! I also pray that you would allow me to share with you what the Lord is doing through the ministry     of C28.  Through God's grace and your help, God's Word is reaching millions of people all over the world     through printed shirts. We are grateful to God that in the past 7 years over 12,560 people have prayed to     receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through God's Holy Spirit and the ministry of C28 &amp;amp; NOTW. Through     God's will, we at C28 get to preach the gospel everyday, and pray with as many people as possible. We     easily get bummed out when things don’t work out the way we want.     God never said peace and joy would come from our expected outcomes.     Instead, we can choose to accept and rejoice in whatever outcome God     has for us. All we are expected to do is: love the Lord first, love     others second and then trust and accept whatever God has chosen for     us. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style6"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"Love the Lord your God with all your heart     and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your     strength.' The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'     There is no commandment greater than these." Mark 12:30-31&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; We     waste too much time and energy in trying to get our own ways. Again,     God commands us to simply love Him, love others and accept His     chosen outcomes for us. God knows what’s best for us and is in     control of all things. The best thing to do is to trust an unknown     future to a known God!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.c28.com/EmailBlasts/Aurelio/12-3-08/Aurelio_12-3-08_07.jpg" width="100%" /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;I know times are tough for everyone, yet I urge you to remember     God’s promises of encouragement throughout His Holy Bible.     &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style6"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but     not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” 2 Corinthians 4:8&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt; I pray that you can meditate on God’s Word     and then believe it, so He can provide you with His peace in your times of need. Ask Him to provide for you,     ask Him to guide you, let Him know that you are tired of carrying your own burdens. Trust and wait upon the     Lord and He will help you. Always know that God is full of mercy and grace. He created you and loves you no     matter what you have ever done. God is your Father in heaven and He cares for you, always!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As believers, please also celebrate the fact that we are not at war with God. What I mean is, knowing that our     standing with God is permanent and not based on our own performance means that we can have true peace. Why?     Because Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins on the cross and our faith in Jesus, is credited to our account. Our     faith in Jesus gives us the right to humbly approach God’s throne of grace in full repentance and thanksgiving;     anytime, anywhere.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;   &lt;span class="style6"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-family:arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our     Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith in to this grace in which we now stand. Will you surrender     your heart to Jesus and ask Him in? Will you allow Him to take your fears and worries? Will you trust Him today     regardless of your troubling circumstances? Talk to God right now in prayer, He wants to hear from you.     &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style6"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;“Ask     and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone     who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt; Will you     knock on His door of forgiveness and receive His fullness? Will you do this right now?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The times are so challenging, that I, my family, C28 staff and     friends have found ourselves on our knees praying for God’s help and     God is faithfully answering our prayers!      &lt;/span&gt;    &lt;span class="style6"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again:     Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in     everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which     transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(255, 102, 102);"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;The key     to the above verse is knowing God is near and then believing it. God is all knowing and caring, He is always     there! I will leave you with this verse and pray that you seek Him and praise Him with all your heart.     &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="style6"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style=""&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;“Finally,     brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever     is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or     received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. The devotional covers various examples of "grumbling" in the Bible, and also cites great examples found in the Bible of why we, as faithful servants and believers of Christ, should not be grumbling.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;THE SIN OF GRUMBLING&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Definition of Grumbling: &lt;strong&gt;"&lt;/strong&gt;to murmur or mutter in discontent; complain sullenly&lt;strong&gt;"&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GRUMBLING IN THE RED SEA: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the LORD. They said to Moses, "Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?  Didn't we say to you in Egypt, 'Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians'? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!" Exodus 14:10-12&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GRUMBLING ABOUT WATER:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. (That is why the place is called Marah. ) So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, "What are we to drink? Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made a decree and a law for them, and there he tested them." Exodus 15:23-25&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GRUMBLING ABOUT WATER:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"The whole Israelite community set out from the Desert of Sin, traveling from place to place as the LORD commanded. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink. "So they quarreled with Moses and said, "Give us water to drink." Moses replied, "Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the LORD to the test?” But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, "Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?" Then Moses cried out to the LORD, "What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me. The LORD answered Moses, "Walk on ahead of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go. I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel. And he called the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites quarreled and because they tested the LORD saying, "Is the LORD among us or not?" Exodus 17:1-7&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GRUMBLING ABOUT FOOD:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had come out of Egypt. In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the LORD's hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.".......The LORD said to Moses, "I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.'" Exodus 16:1 - With them. Exodus 16:13-20&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;GRUMBLING ABOUT JESUS:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." "Sir," they said, "from now on give us this bread." Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." I am the bread of life. Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died." John 6:43-49&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;STOP GRUMBLING:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe his promise. They grumbled in their tents and did not obey the LORD. So he swore to them with uplifted hand that he would make them fall in the desert," Psalms 106:24-26&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;WHEN WE GRUMBLE ABOUT CIRCUMSTANCES AND OR EACH OTHER, WE GRUMBLE AT GOD:&lt;/strong&gt;  &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near. Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!" James 5:8-9&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;OUR JOB IS TO BELIEVE AND NOT TO GRUMBLE:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(204, 0, 0);"&gt;"Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." In the midst of adversity and most difficult of times, God moves and showers us with His peace when we seek His face. God is in control and in charge. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other..." Ecclesiastes 7:14&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; I pray that you will wait upon the Lord. Remembering that faith is based on the knowledge, belief and trust of God's Holy word and His promises, instead of our trying circumstances.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was blessed the other day when going through the "All of Grace" Audio CD by Charles Spurgeon. I was both humbled and yet comforted when meditating on the fullness of God's wonderful everlasting grace. I am afraid to say this, but the reality of God's ever present grace in my life led me to then think about my faith, or rather the lack of faith I display in my actions whenever I doubt, fear or worry. As I thought about my faith, I saw my sin of having "little faith", my disbelief in the things that I already know to be true. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"You of little faith,"..."why did you doubt?" Matthew 14:31&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; Jesus spoke about our faith continually. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"  Matthew 8:26&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; When we read further through scriptures regarding our "little faith", we also notice how Jesus encouraged us to fully trust Him.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"...I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:20&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; Jesus gave us hope by saying He did not require us to have a "gigantic faith", but rather faith as little as a mustard seed. Do you have faith as small as a mustard seed?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Faith is defined as: &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; With that said, how often do we deny the Lord Jesus by displaying no faith at all in our actions? We learn that faith is required to please God and it is the root of obedience. Faith is so important in the life of a believer that God even chose faith as the channel of our salvation! It is through faith we believe in Jesus and are saved; not through hope or love, but through faith alone in Jesus do we receive our salvation. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Faith is made up of 3 virtues: knowledge, belief and trust. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;KNOWLEDGE&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; - Faith is not blind; it is based on the knowledge of biblical facts learned from God's Holy Word and through His Holy Spirit. God's Word leads us to an understanding and knowledge of the truth, which allows us to have faith.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ." Romans 10:17&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; For example, we can board an airplane and not see the captain, but still have faith that the captain is in the cockpit and has the required knowledge, ability and desire to get us to our destination safely. If we can have faith in man, why is it so hard to have faith in God? Sometimes my disbelief has been so great in my mind that to display my actual faith required me to go against my fleshly thinking. If displaying our faith feels "foolish" in the eyes of this world, then I beg you, be a fool for God! God will never let you down.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;BELIEF&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; - Faith is believing that Christ is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do. Not only should we believe it, but we should expect it!  Faith is to have peace about what we believe and expect, regardless of our feelings or difficult circumstances. When flying in an airplane, do you believe the same captain who got you off the ground is the same captain that will get you back on the ground safely, in spite of a bumpy flight? If faith in flying is reasonable and practical, then faith in God and His Word is reasonable and practical as well, right? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." John 3:18&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; Do you believe in Jesus, His mighty works and His promises? Are you waiting upon the Lord? Or do you choose to believe the deceptive uncertainties and doubts in newspapers and even in your mind?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;TRUST&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; - Faith requires that our trust be based upon the knowledge of God's Word, believing that it is inerrant and trustworthy.  We exercise our faith by living in expectation of the Bible’s promises! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; I can only get peace and rest when I totally surrender the questions and doubts in my mind over to God and trust in Him. To follow our feelings instead of trusting Him and His promises is foolish and only hurts us further.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me." John 14:1&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; Faith is trusting in Jesus and having the assurance of the things hoped for. A child of God prays with certainty that God does answer prayer. God loves to be glorified through His answered prayers. Will you trust God even when your circumstances are frightening and perplexing?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Not that I have overcome my doubts and fears, but one practical way that God has helped me in my times of unbelief is to ask Him to help me overcome them through prayer. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"...Everything is possible for him who believes." Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" Mark 9:23-24&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; Many times I must remind myself that when misleading and destructive thoughts occupy my mind I should have enough faith from past experiences to know that God is always in control. I don't have to know how, I don't have to know when, but I do know that God will! I need to believe that He will take care of me and trust that He will always provide for me even though my actions often do not warrant His unconditional love and faithfulness. Why? Because believers are His children and He always loves His children no matter what they have done!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Is your faith and standing with God based upon your good moral deeds, your resources, your accomplishments, your own security or human traditions? Or is your faith based upon Jesus? Is Jesus Christ your Lord and your Savior?  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away." Isaiah 64:66&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt; If you are not sure your faith is based upon the work of Jesus Christ alone and you want to receive Jesus Christ by faith, please sincerely pray:  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;Lord Jesus, I need You. I know the penalty of my sins is hell, and You were crucified on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me for my sins. I need You in my life. Today, I make You my Lord and Savior. Take control of my life and make me the person You want me to be. In Jesus' name, amen.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;"&gt;"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." The 14th "C28 OUTREACH MINISTRY" concert was totally Holy Spirit driven! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;Over 2,000 people&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt; were exposed to the gospel through our Northridge C28 store ministry and&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt; 200 people came forward to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt; The local church volunteers were awesome as they invited 114 people who received Christ to their churches for discipleship. Here are a few stories!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;table style="width: 100%;"&gt;&lt;tbody&gt;&lt;tr&gt;&lt;td&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;a. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;A man told us he was going to get drunk in order to kill himself that night. Instead he dropped by to hear the concert and accepted Jesus Christ! It is amazing to witness the Lord's grace so clearly.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;b.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;A husband and wife were about to divorce. Instead, they made a commitment to stay together in Christ, and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;c.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;A lesbian couple came forward repenting of their sins and giving their lives over to Jesus Christ. God's grace was so abundant! Praise the Lord!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/td&gt;&lt;/tr&gt;&lt;/tbody&gt;&lt;/table&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"&gt;As you can tell these were only 3 stories out of hundreds of people who came to faith that night. Everyone had a reason; everyone needed our Lord and Savior! Please accept my heart-felt thanks for your prayers. I was totally convicted by this man's question. You see, we currently have two free C28 outreaches per year and each outreach cost about $40k-$50K.  If you do the math, the simple question becomes "Is a man’s soul worth more than $200?" The subject has been about the sin in my life and the daily everlasting grace of Jesus&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;.&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;"...But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 5:20-21&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;Have you ever fully acknowledged the depths of your sin, only then to allow yourself to experience the unconditional grace of Jesus, so powerfully that it humbles you and brings you to your knees in repentance and in gratitude? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;COUNTLESS SINS &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;After 10 years of walking with the Lord, God has never stopped showing me the depths of my many sins. From smaller sins like stretching the truth, to larger sins like pride, greed, jealousy, lust, worry, fear and doubt; God reminds me of why Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;"For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that He may have mercy on them all." Romans 11:32&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;God has placed the "LAW" into our conscious,  convicting us through His Holy Spirit, and leading us to surrender before His throne of grace in repentance, so we can then truly appreciate His grace!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;THRONE OF GRACE &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;Because of my faith in God, I can repent of my sins through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus. I can approach His throne of grace with full confidence, knowing that I am in good hands and that He will help me no matter what, even though I do not deserve it!  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." Hebrews 4:16&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;NOT BASED ON MY PERFORMANCE &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;After years of striving to improve and yet stumbling often, I can praise Jesus boldly because there is no condemnation for those who believe in Him&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;. &lt;b style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;i&gt;"So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.... What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?  Thanks be to God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!... Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,..." Romans 7:21-8:2&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;I am thankful that my status with God is not based on my performance, but based on my faith and trust in Jesus! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;HIS GRACE WAS 100%&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;If I have learned anything from the power of sin and the power of His grace, it is that His grace is greater than all of my sins and this is to His glory&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;!&lt;span style="color:red;"&gt; &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;"I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Galatians 2:21 &lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color:black;"&gt;Have you ever thought of how God’s sovereign grace undermines our pride! When was the last time you really thanked Jesus for His grace in your life? Can you thank Him now?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;GRIEVING THE HOLY SPIRIT&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;While the grace of Jesus is greater than all of our sins, I am also reminded this does not give me a license to sin. Why? Because when we sin, we grieve the Holy Spirit who dwells in our hearts.  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." Ephesians 4:30&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;The danger of continually sinning is that we get to a point in which we no longer hear the voice of God. And don't we want to hear God? If God has compassion for us in our times of need, can we also then have compassion for Him as well? God actually gives us the opportunity to bless Him when we stop sinning and when we wait upon Him to help us in our times of need.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;SUBSTITUTE CALLED SIN&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;If we choose to do wrong because we have a particular need or desire within us that we want filled, we are then choosing a substitute for a fix called sin. Why do we choose to sin when God can provide us with a way out? If we ask Him to replace our desire to sin with His Word and His Holy Spirit’s power, He is faithful and will always help us. When we wait upon the Lord and&lt;b&gt; &lt;/b&gt;trust Him to replace our sinful desires, we can then witness, experience and see God provide for our needs. And as a result we really get to know Him!  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;1 Corinthians 10:13&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;RESIST AND WAIT UPON THE LORD &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;The next time you need to get your way (sin), resist the enemy and ask God to help you as you wait upon Him! There is nothing better than to witness and experience God's hand of grace answering your prayers in your time of need. And if you have just messed up again, simply go to God's throne of grace, and He will meet you there with open arms of mercy and grace. Why? Because as believers, we are His children forever! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;BELIEVERS ARE BLESSED&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;&lt;span style="color:black;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;So, when was the last time you truly thanked Jesus for His sacrifice on the cross&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=""&gt;?&lt;span style="color:red;"&gt; &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." Psalms 32:1&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color:black;"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style="color:black;"&gt;When did you last savor His grace in your life? Can you openly thank Him right now, in front of others? Barreto</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/10803052822853697879</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel="http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail" width="16" height="16" src="http://img2.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif" /></author><thr:total>5</thr:total><feedburner:origLink>http://c28blog.blogspot.com/2008/05/sin-and-grace.html</feedburner:origLink></entry><entry gd:etag="W/&quot;C0EFRns5cCp7ImA9WxRXGEs.&quot;"><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-190120122568601217.post-8468284849217005267</id><published>2008-03-31T08:05:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2008-10-24T08:20:17.528-07:00</updated><app:edited xmlns:app="http://www.w3.org/2007/app">2008-10-24T08:20:17.528-07:00</app:edited><title>The Power of Your Prayers</title><content type="html">&lt;div&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-right: 0.75in;"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;I was recently blessed to be the speaker at a men’s outreach breakfast at the Calvary Chapel in &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:city st="on"&gt;Camarillo&lt;/st1:city&gt;,  &lt;st1:state st="on"&gt;CA&lt;/st1:state&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt;.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;They had anticipated 125 men to be in attendance and over 200 showed up!&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;The CCC men did a great job of inviting their friends!&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;Rob Van Ouwerkerk, who invited me to speak at CCC, led the worship with a&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt; powerful and awesome Spirit filled time of praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;When I presented the invitation to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, 40-50 &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;men raised their hand and prayed the sinner’s prayer!! &lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;After the service, an older gentleman came up to me with an encouragement from the Lord. &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;            &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;The man told me he has been walking with the Lord for years, "… what I saw today&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt; was supernatural. During your prayer, and right before you asked the men to raise &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;their hands, I opened my eyes and I clearly saw angels throughout the room. I &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;quickly closed my eyes, but then opened them up again as each man raised their &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;hand. I was blown away by what I saw again, I saw an angel behind every man that &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;raised his hand to accept Jesus Christ! I have never in my life seen angels before!”&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;        &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;I share this with you because this has only happened twice in my life. Once was &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;10 years ago just after I had given my life to the Lord. I was involved in a terrible &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;auto accident and I saw an angel smiling at me and protecting me. Saturday was &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;very similar, it was 100% Holy Spirit Filled! Your prayers were so effective!&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;        &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"  style="font-size:100%;"&gt;With all this said, praise God, be encouraged and believe! &lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color:red;"&gt;"O unbelieving generation,&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;color:red;"  &gt;“Jesus replied, "How long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"  style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;color:red;"  &gt;..."Everything is possible for him who believes." Immediately the boy's father &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"  style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;color:red;"  &gt;exclaimed, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" Mark 9:19-24&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;          &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;As I shared this experience with my pastor (Milton Vincent), he reminded me of the &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;spiritual warfare that clearly exists in our lives. He said, "Just as there were angels &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;protecting each new convert, picture the frightful sight of seeing demons seeking to &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;destroy our souls. Praise God He protects us and keeps us from the horror &amp;amp; sight &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;of such a war". &lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color:red;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;      &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"  style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color:red;"&gt;"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;color:red;"  &gt;the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"  style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;color:red;"  &gt;the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"  style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;color:red;"  &gt;the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:11-12&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style=";font-family:Arial;font-size:100%;"  &gt;I totally appreciate and value your prayers! I was moved with joy when I saw His empty tomb.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(209, 35, 41);"&gt; “The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Galilee&lt;/st1:place&gt;...” Matthew 28:5-7&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 6.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(209, 35, 41);"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black;"&gt;My joy came from the reality that Jesus was not at the tomb; that Jesus actually lives in the hearts of all believers! &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(209, 35, 41);"&gt;“But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:31&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 6.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(209, 35, 41);"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Arial;"&gt;As we celebrate His resurrection, I am thankful for the majesty and power of His grace that covers our sins. I am grateful that Jesus rose from the grave to give us life, and that it would be full. &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(209, 35, 41);"&gt;“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt; Yet I am also reminded of how the daily distractions of this world can steal the joy of Jesus and so easily rob us from our daily fellowship with Him.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 6.5pt; font-family: Arial;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: black;"&gt;Let us remember how the power of Jesus’ name alone is great enough to make us right with Him through our repentance; and of how wonderful and everlasting His grace is for those who believe &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Arial;"&gt;in Him.  I am reminded of the two criminals who were crucified along with Jesus: &lt;span style="color: rgb(209, 35, 41);"&gt; &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;“One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Christ? Save yourself and us!” But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:39-43&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 6.5pt; font-family: Arial; color: rgb(209, 35, 41);"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Arial;"&gt;My prayer for you is that everyday will be a resurrection Sunday! That everyday we will preach the gospel to ourselves; that we would not forget to cherish and value the power of the cross to wash our sins away. His grace is greater than all of our sins! Be humble in our need for Him, be grateful for His grace!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 6.5pt; font-family: Arial;"&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 8.5pt; font-family: Arial;"&gt;In closing, Easter also reminds me to share the gospel with everyone, in season and out of season. The penalty of any sin in our lives is hell and yet through believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, God forgives us and gives us eternal life with Him in heaven! This Easter share the grace &amp;amp; truth of Jesus with someone.”...&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(209, 35, 41);"&gt;And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? My wife Peggy and I went to &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Israel&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt; in October and we wanted to thank everyone for their prayers. &lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;If I were to sum up our trip in one word, it would be "confirmation". Everything we already believed in was affirmed and came alive while we were in &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Israel&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt;.  I just want to share the incredible things we got to witness and enjoy while in &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Israel&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;The tension in &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Israel&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt; was so apparent. Whether it was between the Jews and Arabs, or the Muslims and Christians, &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;Israel&lt;/st1:country-region&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt; is clearly a battle ground, a divided country.&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(224, 45, 19);"&gt; "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."  Ephesians 6:12&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt; &lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;The Bible tells of Abraham and Sarah’s disobedience to God when they took matters into their own hands when Sarah couldn’t conceive.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Abraham had a son, Ishmael, with his servant Hagar. Sarah eventually gave birth to Isaac but the end result was a divided family.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;We saw how the sin of one generation carries over multiple generations as evidenced by the tension between Jews and Palestinians.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;We spent a couple of days at the Sea of Galilee where Jesus spent the majority of His ministry and performed many miracles: &lt;span style=""&gt; &lt;/span&gt;Jesus chose His disciples, walked on water, calmed the storm, made breakfast for His disciples following His resurrection, and preached the Sermon on the Mount while at the Sea of Galilee just to name a few.  &lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(224, 45, 19);"&gt;“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven...." Matthew 5:3-12&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;From the &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Sea of Galilee&lt;/st1:place&gt;, we drove north to the premier pagan ancient ruins of the city Ceasarea-Philippi, known for its human sacrifices made to the god, Pan. Interestingly enough, a few feet away from this ancient demonic site which Jesus called "The Gates of Hades", is the &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Jordan River&lt;/st1:place&gt; also called the river of life. &lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(224, 45, 19);"&gt;"...and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it" Matthew 16:18 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;Traveling south we stopped at the &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Dead  Sea&lt;/st1:place&gt; which happens to be 8 times saltier than the ocean. Peggy and I floated on the water like floating in space. It was surreal. The Dead Sea is where the cities of &lt;st1:city st="on"&gt;Sodom&lt;/st1:city&gt; and Gommorah were located and where &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Lot&lt;/st1:place&gt;'s wife turned into a pillar of salt.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;We finished the week at the city of &lt;st1:city st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Jerusalem&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt; where Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac and where Jesus was crucified. The &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Mount  of Olives&lt;/st1:place&gt; was especially moving. From this mountain, Jesus had looked over the city of &lt;st1:city st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;Jerusalem&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:city&gt; and wept because of the people's disbelief. A short walking distance from the Mount of Olives’ lookout point, we walked through the &lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:placetype st="on"&gt;Garden&lt;/st1:placetype&gt; of &lt;st1:placename st="on"&gt;Gesthemane&lt;/st1:placename&gt;&lt;/st1:place&gt; where Jesus prayed before being crucified.&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;A high note of our trip was the opportunity to share the gospel.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Our Temecula store manager Denise Colletti arranged for me to speak at Cavalry Chapel Jerusalem to a group of Russian and South American immigrants. My heart went out to them as I too was an immigrant years ago when I came to the &lt;st1:country-region st="on"&gt;&lt;st1:place st="on"&gt;U.S.&lt;/st1:place&gt;&lt;/st1:country-region&gt; By God's grace, over 20 came to Christ when I shared the grace, truth and love of Jesus with them!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span class="apple-style-span"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(224, 45, 19);"&gt;"Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! By His grace, over 9,900 people have found salvation in Jesus Christ since we opened our first store 7 years ago. That is such great news!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Recently, an 81 year old lady gave her life to the Lord! You should have seen her joyful smile. Her daughter was in tears as she looked at me. After two decades of praying for her mother's salvation, salvation came! By God's grace over 670 people have come to Christ in Northern California through the ministry of C28 in the first year alone! Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13 &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are anything like me and are sometimes challenged by trials, I pray you will be blessed by this short but powerful scripture. &lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt; This verse always reminds me to be joyful in hope, because God is our hope; to be patient in our daily afflictions because we have a future promise waiting for us in heaven; and to surrender today’s problems to God through prayer! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;p&gt;When we actively seek and receive the grace of Jesus, only then can we begin to let go and trust God. Trusting God releases the Holy Spirit's power to pour out His peace and joy through us in ways that not only bless us, but also bless those around us. &lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In the book of Isaiah 46:11, God says &lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;"What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/i&gt; When we finally humble ourselves, understand and believe that our God does whatever He wants whenever He wants (for our best interest), we are then living in His perfect and pleasing will—and that brings us real peace and freedom! &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Only the one true God brings us the hope and peace we truly need. So this Christmas be blessed; obey, pray and trust God whether in bad times and or in good times. &lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;"When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other..." Although I have not made a penny back from my $2.5 million dollar investment made 8 years ago, our payment has been seeing 9,600 people saved through Jesus! And there is more good news, through God's grace we have started to become profitable in the last few years. Without profitability we would simply go out of business and close our doors.
