If there’s one thing that could kick Twilight out of this friggin’ planet, it has to be Dance in the Vampire Bund. Don’t say it’s a rip off, it was made along the time Twilight was still being written, and yes, I’d say this has more substance than Toilet~ *ahem* Twilight. So go step on cat shit (Neko no unke Fume) Twitards! Re-watched Twilight, both movies. Reread the novels. I don’t see the awesomeness in Twilight, only that Edward’s shiny body isn’t sexy but extremely pathetic. Oh well.

So I decided to make one, a collective of what has been going on at the life of Altaire. You may not care at all since no one really knows me and shit, but I know you will learn a thing or 2 about the life of a j-culture fanboy. This will come once or twice every week, and you don’t have to force yourself to read it.

January 25, 2010 – Cosplay Museum? In the Philippines? *laughs so hard*

Surprisingly, the world’s first-ever cosplay museum has been built here in the Philippines last January 8, 2010. No matter how happy I am to see some “otaku” (wait, they shouldn’t be called one) do something beyond their ability, it fills me with such regret to say that this is the most pathetic idea of the century. The end of mankind, at least for the Philippines’ cosplay culture.

January 26, 2010 – Durarara, Durarara, Durara-*ahem*

I started watching this season’s Durarara, a messed up anime with a plethora of confusing characters. If you loved Baccano back then, you’d probably love this show. I loved Baccano, it was the only anime I’ve watched of it’s kind. The way the story splits into different directions was annoying but still managed to keep the show together; Durarara just might be the same (same creator).

January 27, 2010 – Baka to Test to Shok-*ahem* BL

I re-watched Baka to Test to Shokanju’s 3rd episode and was really shocked compared to the first time I watched it. There was BL, BL = Boy’s Love. Everyone knows how much I hate BL (I’ve been bashing BL and Yaoi over at lolilolisuki), but as I think deeper into my problem with BL, I can just say that this must be a punishment from the Gods. I must go to the mountains and meditate on the Holy Scriptures of Genshiken to obtain my final form, the “WTF-Sasahara-can-take-Ogiue’s-Yaoi?!” form.

I’m fills me with joy to see C3XANALYSIS back online despite the fact that no one is really visiting it. I’ve been able to restore the posts that I’ve made after the first fall of the blog, but that isn’t what this post is about.

Recently Microsoft released a series of theme packs that revolves around 5 ‘moe’ characters. Apparently, this is due to Microsoft’s Bing campaign in Japan.

Here are the list of their names (Thanks to The Banzai Effect for their names):

• Nanae (OL-type I guess)
• NANA (Of course, the loli)
• Nanako (The ordinary type, or so I think)
• Nanami (Yes, another Nanami, tsundere!)
• Nanao (Boyish type)

I stumbled upon a pathetic documentary which tackles the subject of ‘cosplay‘ and [somehow] the ‘otaku culture‘. The lack of substance in the video pissed me off so bad that I had to stop watching half-way through. It shouldn’t even be called documentary as a documentary must be full of substance so the viewers would understand what the sub-/culture is, not some noon-time cheesy Q&A show.

My group will make a documentary in the long-run, and I know it will DEFINITELY be able to make the viewers understand what ‘cosplay‘ is and what ‘otaku‘ are (yes, without the ’s’. It’s plural), what kind of culture they are in, what are the ‘good points’ and the ‘bad points’ of an otaku are, what kind of life they live in, and of course, the view of the outside world.

The common misconception of ‘normal people‘ is that, the otaku are limited to anime, manga, and cosplay -- which is DEFINITELY wrong. Go study the culture then define ‘otaku’ once more. It doesn’t matter if it’s a loan word, the problem is, you use it without knowing what it is originally. Study people, study. You love the culture, don’t you?

If the person/group who made this documentary ’stumbles’ upon this page, I will not apologize, I am serious with what I said.

It’s been a long time since my last post, I even failed to post some of the articles here and unfortunately, most of them aren’t finished. For the mean time, I would like to post about something that is interesting me for quite sometime now. I’ve posted about it in my old blog, but now that it’s gone I’d like to post about it again.

Have you ever heard about ‘kigurumi pajamas‘? If not, then you’re (probably) missing out a lot especially if you’re on the cosplay scene or whatever. Kigurumi pajamas are costumes which represent various characters from anime and manga, often animals. You can see them mostly on anime conventions and are worn by ganguros (Japanese street fashion), who make kigurumi pajamas their personal dress (so don’t be surprised to see one on your trip to Japan).

You’ve probably seen an anime where some characters wear kigurumi pajamas, like Serial Experiments Lain and Moetan, don’t they look cute? Anyways, don’t mind me.

A few days ago, I posted about a man marrying his Nintendo DS because he fell in love with Nene Anegasaki, a character from the Love Plus game. There are other news about Nintendo DS owners, particularly the people who play Love Plus, who break up with their girlfriends/wives, but let’s leave it at that.

A few minutes ago, while surfing YouTube looking for videos that would make me smile despite the bad day, I came across a video of an Asian girl banging her boyfriend’s PS3 with a hammer. Pathetic? Yes, that just proves that most women nowadays are attention whores. Here’s the video:

Hey now, there’s a fine line on what you should do and what you shouldn’t do. If your boyfriend/girlfriend doesn’t give much attention to you, STRIP. Humans are weak against that, unfortunately. You should be thankful enough that your boyfriend/girlfriend just stays at home sucking up to his/her PS3 instead of going out to the bars fucking every single man/woman there. Think.

Horrible, I say. Just horrible. No wonder the male specie is on the brink of extinction, because their female partners take away everything from them.
