Their contribution helped the Foundation accomplish several significant projects in addition to assisting the Foundation’s staff with smaller tasks in the daily running of the Centre. &lt;p&gt;Location: Confederation Basin&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In 1841, Kingston was named the first capital when the provinces of Upper and Lower Canada united to form on Canada. Each year on June 15, the City of Kingston organizes festivities to celebrate this day with 1841-era activities in Confederation Basin. Once again, the Foundation will have an interactive booth that explains the history of Kingston at this important time through archaeology.  <title>Kingston Regional Heritage Fair</title>

&lt;p&gt;The Kingston Regional Heritage Fair celebrates our Canadian culture and heritage. Students prepare and present projects either individually, in small groups, or as part of a class, to share at the fair with topics on family, local, provincial, and national heritage. Once again this&amp;nbsp; year, the Foundation will be presenting a series of workshops throughout the day and have an interactive display set up for students to learn about archaeology in Kingston. The Foundation will be presenting two awards for the Best Archaeological Projects.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
