At the onset of the new year, CASACOM announces the promotion of two of its team members: Adrienne York has now risen to the position of Director, Marketing Communications, and Charlotte Dubuc to Senior Consultant, ESG. On November 2, Marie-Josée Gagnon, CASACOM’s founding president and Brave Inspiration’s creator, won an award at the 23rd edition of the Femmes d’Affaires du Québec Awards.

The gala, held at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, recognized women from Quebec who have stood out and shined through their entrepreneurial excellence in the past year, and whose talent and impact have contributed to the economic development of the province.

Winner in the Leader of Influence, Private or Cooperative Company category, presented by the Ordre des CPA du Québec, Marie-Josée took the stage to thank her colleagues at CASACOM, her husband and children, as well as her friends for their crucial support during her 22 years of entrepreneurship. She also underlined the importance of courage in her journey as well as that of entrepreneurs.

Two new talents join the communications house

We continue our growth with the addition of two new team members. We welcome Alexandre Lahaie as Director, Public Affairs and Government Relations, and Catherine Mounier-Desrochers as Director, Corporate Communication and Public Affairs. Together, they will help us support our clients with successful strategies for dealing with all levels of government.

Holder of a bachelor’s degree in political science and international development from McGill University and a master’s degree in diplomacy and international law from the American University of Paris, Catherine Mounier-Desrochers has keen expertise and insights into the political world. With her experience of the last 5 years in ministerial offices, where she contributed to the management of complex files and the creation of effective communication plans, she enriches CASACOM’s public affairs and communications offerings.

On September 5, 2023, the CASACOM team accompanied Volta during their unveiling ceremony in Granby to announce the first copper foil plant for electric vehicle batteries in the country.

The announcement was made in the presence of François Legault, Premier of Quebec, François-Philippe Champagne, Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry, Pierre Fitzgibbon, Quebec Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, Minister Responsible for Regional Economic Development and Minister Responsible for the Metropolis and the Montréal Region, and François Bonnardel, Member of Parliament for Granby, Quebec Minister of Public Security and Minister Responsible for the Estrie Region.

Our team took care of the organization of the press conference and press relations. The event proved to be a success with more than 200 partners and influencers from the region and beyond present for the occasion. The news was covered in more than 200 media (not counting rebroadcasts) on the web, television and radio (general and specialized) in Canada and around the world.

The announcement was made in the presence of Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, Minister Responsible for Regional Economic Development and Minister Responsible for the Metropolis and the Montréal Region.

Our team took charge of the organization of the press conference, press relations, as well as the distribution strategy on social media. The event proved to be a success with more than 60 partners and influencers from the region and elsewhere present for the occasion. Last night, CASACOM had the honor of receiving not one, but two awards at the 36th Awards of Excellence from the Quebec Society of Public Relations Professionals (SQPRP), the most credible network of public relations professionals and managers in Quebec.

Strategic Excellence

Our team collaborated with the Réseau des carrefours jeunesse-emploi du Québec (RCJEQ) to promote #MaVoixCompte, an initiative encouraging young people to speak out on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We conducted a communication campaign, where the results were widely distributed in an illustarted report. We exceeded the objectives and gave unprecedented visibility to the RCJEQ.

Tactical Excellence

The Association de la construction du Québec (ACQ) trusted CASACOM to increase their online visibility following the launch of their new brand identity in 2021. Through the use of podcasts, videos, impactful visuals and a focused strategy, we exceeded expectations. The dedicated page received 39,411 clicks, visits to web pages related to important topics increased by 64% and the podcast was listened to 2,774 times.

Our firm’s founding CEO, Marie-Josée Gagnon, won the award in the “Sun Life Leadership, exceptional women” category at the 43rd edition of Les Mercuriades competition. The awards ceremony took place last night at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, during the event considered to be the most prestigious business competition in Quebec.

The Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) awarded this prize to Marie-Josée in recognition of her exceptional career as a businesswoman. Her audacity, her influence and her leadership throughout her career and within her sector of activity were highlighted.

In her acceptance speech, she congratulated all the finalists in her category and highlighted two essential aspects of her life that played a decisive role in her career: the support of those around her, in particular her spouse, of her children and her team, as well as her passion which pushes her to surpass herself daily.

Congratulations to Marie-Josée for obtaining this prestigious award, which is well deserved!
